La Grotta Restaurant in Oberhausen

Zunächst das positive : Nette Dame am Telefon , 40 Minuten Lieferzeit wurden eingehalten. Netter Taxifahrer. Dann das negative : Bestellt wurde Penne Bolognese Überbacken Anstatt Penne Bolognese gab es Spaghetti Bolognese und nicht überbacken. Geschmacklich sehr schwach. Anstatt den bestellten Pizzabrötchen gab es getoastetes Brotschnitte. Anstatt von mir 28,50€ zu nehmen , nahm der Fahrer 30,50€ . Also 2€ Liefergebühr? Hat man mir auch nicht vorher gesagt . Leider eine Enttäuschung. Ich kenne den Laden schon ziemlich lange ,aber ich denke der Besitzer hat sich mehrmals gewechselt.

Eine richtige Katastrophe. Wir haben fast 2 Stunden auf unser Essen gewartet und wurden auf Nachfrage immer belogen. Es hieß immer, dass es gleich kommt bzw. bereits unterwegs ist. Plötzlich kriegen wir einen Anruf und wurden gefragt, ob wir das Essen nicht abholen können. Pizzabrötchen kamen auch verbrannt an.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Die Mitarbeiterin war sehr freundlich, aber könnte durch mehr "Betreuung" auch mehr Umsatz erzielen. Wir werden aber sicherlich wieder kommen.

Die Pizzeria liegt unscheinbar an der Straße. Einrichtung und Ambiente sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es gibt frische Pizzabrötchen mit Kräuterbutter vorweg. Leider gab es keine Burrata Pizza mehr. Meine Alternative war sehr lecker. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Fazit: Wer auf innere Werte zählt, ist hier gut aufgehoben.

Schade, es sollte ein schöner Abend mit meinen Eltern (87) werden. Die Bedienung war lustlos (junger Mann, ungelernt), packte die Gläser am Trinkrand statt am Stil an. Das Essen meiner Mutter war Furztrocken. mein Essen war lecker aber die Tagliatelle nere ausverkauft. Der Chef? verstand kaum Deutsch, die Stühle rissig. Ich war vor 9 Jahren zum Klassentreffen dort und fand es super. Die Rezensionen sprachen auch für einen Besuch….k. A. Hat der Inhaber gewechselt? Nie wieder!

Sehr leckeres Essen! Geschmacklich wirklich top und das Essen kam auch schön heiß an. Leider mussten wir etwa eine Stunde warten, was etwas lang war. Trotzdem hat der Geschmack vieles wieder gutgemacht. Würden wieder bestellen 😊🫶🏼

Dieses Restaurant serviert das beste italienische Essen, das ich je in Deutschland gegessen habe. Die Pasta war perfekt gekocht und voller authentischem Geschmack, die Pizza knusprig und einfach köstlich. Die Atmosphäre war warm und gemütlich, was das Erlebnis noch angenehmer machte. Ich kann dieses Restaurant jedem Liebhaber der italienischen Küche wärmstens empfehlen!

Besitzer gehört auch der Laden Chifuri Modern Kitchen in Oberhausen, was wohl eine Ghostkitchen ist. Das Essen ist leider unterirdisch und absolut nicht empfehlenswert. Schade ums Geld.

Leckeres Essen, schöne Atmosphäre und freundliches Personal. Das Restaurant war während unseres Besuchs recht gut besucht, was zu längeren Wartezeiten führte. Das Personal bemühte sich jedoch sehr, und es wurde leckeres Brot mit Kräuterbutter gebracht, um die Wartezeit angenehmer zu gestalten.

Ungeniessbar, echt übelste qualität, konnte alles wegschmeissen .

Ich gehe mindestens einmal pro Woche in diese Pizzeria und werde jedes Mal aufs Neue positiv überrascht. Bei meinem letzten Besuch wurde ich von einer Mitarbeiterin beraten, die noch relativ neu war – trotzdem war sie unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und wirklich süß im Umgang mit den Gästen. Meine sie hieß Fabiana Das gesamte Personal ist stets herzlich und zuvorkommend, und auch die Preise sind absolut akzeptabel. Die Qualität des Essens überzeugt jedes Mal. Eine klare Empfehlung von mir! 🍕✨

Das Restaurant war gestern am Feiertag geöffnet und wir haben es vor einem Musicalbesuch aufgesucht. Es war für das Navi gut zu finden, kostenlose Parkmöglichkeit an der Straße. Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist grandios 😍 wir hatten Pizzabrötchen und drei verschiedene Pizzen. Alles war unglaublich lecker! Die Kräuterbutter zu den Brötchen war ein Traum. Bei meiner Pizza Calzone hatte ich einen Änderungswunsch (Pilze raus, Brokkoli rein) war gar kein Problem. Super lecker 👍🏼 und preislich auch sehr gut. Kommen wir nochmal nach Oberhausen, dann kommen wir wieder.

I don't know what some people are complaining about the service here. The young lady, who was obviously still learning, was very nice, and the more experienced lady was there. Our "special requests" were accommodated, and our questions were answered really well. The food was absolutely fantastic, and the prices are completely reasonable. The interior is amazing; you wouldn't imagine it from the outside.

It was probably our fault that we ordered something different from the menu at a pizzeria. We ordered four dishes from the menu. Two pasta dishes, of which the ravioli were missing, so they served us tortellini. The calamari was obviously cooked in too hot oil; the breading was hard and dark. The mixed grill tasted okay, but was ridiculously small. The value for money wasn't right for us. We're happy to spend a bit more if the quality is right. We definitely won't be coming back.

I highly recommend this fantastic Italian restaurant👌! A friend introduced me to it two years ago, and I've been there every now and then since then. Even though I don't live in Oberhausen. A small family celebration came up spontaneously, and LA GROTTA immediately came to mind. The first floor can accommodate a large group. There's even a heated winter garden and a bar! Restrooms, however, are only downstairs. The entire decor is also very Mediterranean. Luckily, the restaurant had room for us 15 people at the last minute. However, since not all of our guests are able to walk well, they kindly improvised a cozy corner for us downstairs instead of upstairs. The food was once again incredibly delicious, and all the guests were very satisfied. It was a lovely evening. This certainly won't be our last celebration at LA GROTTA🤗. Update: We recently celebrated there again and discovered that there are new owners who are unfortunately obviously overwhelmed with the whole process. The food is still very good, though. But the service has gotten really bad. We were there again with 18 people. This time, however, several things went wrong, which was very unpleasant for us, our guests. In the end, there was only a verbal apology. I definitely won't book La Grotta for a party again. However, I would still eat there with a smaller group, as the food is both delicious and looks great. Even if you have to wait a long time for service, drinks, refills, and clearing. It's a shame, otherwise it would be perfect!

The food is absolutely top quality, nothing to say about it, but the service is absolute crap. The biggest problem is the gigantic language barrier, as no one there speaks German literally, and if you want to order by phone, it's like trying to call the telephone office. I waited 70 minutes for the food, even though I called 40 minutes in advance and pre-ordered. During the phone call, everything was repeated three times because the lady didn't understand anything, and in the end, the order came through incorrectly because everything was misunderstood on the phone, and my new name is exactly how it was understood. In the end, the driver had the nerve to expect a tip and even stayed outside the door with a grin and then just said, "Oh, sorry, here's your change, bro." When you come home from work and just want to eat, something like that is the last straw. As I said, the food tastes great, as is the quality, but the workers and service are absolute rubbish, no one speaks German there.

Hey! Well...we ordered and were totally disappointed! The price/performance ratio wasn't right. The schnitzel was so small and the sauce was hard to come by. Not us anymore! But to each his own.

We had everything from pizza to steak. The service didn't understand German very well, and the problem couldn't be resolved easily. The steak was cooked dry and even tougher than a shoe sole.

This restaurant is a true treasure for lovers of authentic Italian cuisine. The dishes are simply fantastic – outstanding in flavor and prepared with love. You can taste the talented chef at work in every bite. However, be prepared to wait a bit, as both the food and drinks take a while to arrive. It would be desirable for the restaurant to increase its service staff to keep up with the excellent quality of the food. Nevertheless, those with patience will be rewarded with an unforgettable culinary experience. We will definitely be back!

Food that truly feels like heaven, with an aroma so irresistible you’ll forget to take pictures. Highly recommended, not only for the heavenly taste but also for the exceptionally professional service from both the staff and the owner.

Unfortunately, it's very unkempty... Ashtrays not emptied, empty plastic bottles on the tables, etc. Non-alcoholic beer bottles were brought out after about 30 minutes because they weren't refrigerated. Not recommended!

Absolutely disappointing! I ordered a salad with chicken breast strips and pizza rolls with herb butter. There was a handful of rocket, small pieces of tomatoes, 4 slices of cucumber and the chicken breast strips that were cold, hard and extremely dry. So everything ended up in the trash. In addition, there was a hair hidden in the herb butter. It's Easter Monday, but I would have preferred an egg 🙄.

The pasta dishes, grilled meats, and chicken schnitzel tasted good, but the pizza arrived cold. A portion of pizza rolls was missing. Delivery time was met.

The restaurant looks great, the menu also seems promising, but then the atmosphere and service are definitely not Italian hospitality and service, you could already notice it with a more than half empty place on a Friday evening. The products are of good quality but just miss the Italian touch, no oil served with the pizza on the table, empty salt shakers and pepper mill also empty. The wine list is frizante but there is none, but apple schorle, the first with still water, the second was also not with much carbon dioxide. Definitely not suitable for a second time.

The food was absolutely disgusting. I ordered two aglio olio, and like any other restaurant, it was supposed to be served with pepperoni - after all, that's the best part of the dish. Instead, the spaghetti only came with tomatoes, it was dry, without olive oil as actually stated, and didn't taste good. When I called the restaurant, they said that by "pepperoni" they meant the ground variety, but didn't explain why the food was so dry or tasted so bad. Just wasted money

We ordered online for the third time. The pizzas were supposed to come after 30 minutes, but they weren't until , after telephone consultation, after 90 minutes with us. The pizzas were undercooked, hard and burnt on the edges. Too bad, our last order from la Grotta

Ate there with 20 people on the first holiday. Only got 2 drinks in 4 hours. The waitress was sitting on the stairs with her legs stretched out and fiddling with her cell phone. The order even had to be taken twice because the first one had disappeared.

Kürzlich entschlossen wir uns spontan zu einem Besuch und waren (zu bester Abendzeit am Wochenende) fast die einzigen Gäste dort. Erfreulicherweise konnten Speisen, Ambiente und Service wieder an „alte Zeiten“ anknüpfen. Sehr freundliches Personal, dezente italienische Musik und eine gut belegte Pizza mit perfektem Teig. Zudem ist die Preisgestaltung (Getränke und Essen) moderat. Es gibt eine klare Empfehlung von uns und vermutlich werden wir wieder zu Stammgästen.

My wife and I have been visiting this restaurant for over 10 years. Unfortunately, the ambience (e.g. excessively loud, inappropriate music) and service deteriorated about 2 years ago, so we decided not to go there. Recently we spontaneously decided to visit and were almost the only guests there (at prime time in the evening on the weekend). Fortunately, the food, ambience and service were able to return to “old times”. Very friendly staff, subtle Italian music and a well-topped pizza with perfect dough. In addition, the pricing (drinks and food) is moderate. There is a clear recommendation from us and we will probably become regular guests again.

Really cozy place. The Pizza was very nice, maybe a bit too thick of a crust to my taste. Personel was really nice, though a bit slow in my oponion for the rond of drinks. 100% sure would go here again without thought when in neighberhood.

We come 120km away - so we spontaneously ate here by chance. From the outside it looks inconspicuous and small. But once inside you are impressed by how big and beautiful it is. Mediterranean- cozy and nice music in the background. We were there today Sat.28.9. Here around 6 p.m. and would like to praise the young man here who served us. He was incredibly nice and polite, and also super attentive to our little son. We felt so comfortable, you do an incredibly good job! The food was great - everything was quick and super cheap. If we are in Oberhausen again we will come back!

Not recommended – disappointing experience with La Grotta Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the La Grotta restaurant at all. I ordered €200 worth of food there, but it never arrived because our order was simply forgotten. And this wasn't the first time something like this had happened. The operator on the phone was rude and made little attempt to clarify the situation. Instead of an apology, we were almost made to feel like we were the problem. You can also clearly tell that the food is not prepared with love. The quality leaves a lot to be desired, which is particularly disappointing given the high prices. I definitely won't order there again. What a shame about the time and money!

We had pizza to go. Almost all of the comments (a pizza with little cheese, cutting pizza) were not taken into account. In addition, all of the pizzas were underdone in the middle. There was actually nothing going on and so it was very incomprehensible. But the staff was very friendly.

It was unclean. The menu was dirty and stuck. The Frizzantini didn't bubble. Apparently it is homemade from white wine and mineral water, which would therefore be a wine spritzer. Likewise, the Lambrusco was nothing at all. The foccaccia came with the main course, even though it was ordered as a starter. They were out of parmesan. The main courses Penne La Grotta tasted quite good. Compared to before, where we were twice, the store has declined significantly.

INCREDIBLY BAD Repeatedly delivery times not met. Wrong food delivered. Quality of food inedible. Nausea and stomach pain are inevitable. Complaints are ignored. It's good that there are corresponding inspection offices in Germany. Which we will inform.

VERY BAD!!!! Pizza tastes like cardboard, and it wasn't cut as requested. The calzone was a joke because of the size for the price!!! Then the wrong noodle was delivered. Very rude on the phone when complaining. It also took forever for it to be delivered. Conclusion: Better eat somewhere else!!!!

More than disappointing for the fifth time. You want to order food and an approximate delivery is suggested, which can no longer be met. The first few times I closed my eyes. It is enough now. We have known La Grotta for many years from its previous owners and were looking forward to the evening in the restaurant... Unfortunately, the restaurant can no longer maintain its former times... The menu is almost identical, but the service is not really good... We were able to reserve a table at short notice, which was good... We were the only guests that evening... There was a small plate that suggested there would be something as an appetizer, e.g. B. Pizza rolls (as we were used to before) - none, the plate was just decoration... The dishes ordered were tasty. We should let us know if we want anything else, that sounded strange to us... What a shame...

Unsere Speisen waren sehr gut und es gab auch die ein oder andere Spezialität wie Arancini. Es war ein freundlicher, aufmerksamer Service. Die einzigen Abzüge gibt es beim Ambiente, weil es auf den ersten Blick wie ein Schnellresto wirkt, das aber gar nicht ist. Der hintere Teil ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet, wie eine kleine Grotte eben, wurde aber, als wir da waren, gar nicht genutzt. Wir freuen uns, dass es La Grotta als Kiezresto in unserer Nähe gibt - danke ans La Grotta-Team. 🙏
