Excellent food. Good, friendly service.

I've rarely eaten paella as good as here. Delicious tapas with warm, attentive staff and a very cozy atmosphere. You feel like you're in Spain. Despite the restaurant being full, the paella was freshly cooked in 30 minutes – bravado! Absolutely excellent value for money. All in all, highly recommended. We'd love to come back more often :-)

We've been here several times and have been very satisfied every time. The food is excellent – ​​fresh, authentic, and delicious! We had to wait a little longer once because it was busy, but it was absolutely worth it. The next time we visited, everything was perfect. The only minor drawback is the somewhat difficult parking situation. Still, a full 5 stars – we'd love to come back!

We've been to La Esquina several times and would generally like to return. You should be aware that the prices here are a bit higher – perhaps borderline acceptable for everyday dining, but we'll accept that for a special evening. The food is very tasty, varied, and the tapas are simply a highlight – fresh, diverse, and delicious. We even tried a main course once, which was okay, but nowhere near as good as the tapas. The ambiance is nice and atmospheric. We only find the tables in the middle a bit uncomfortable, so we always hope for a seat near the edge. The staff is friendly and attentive; at full capacity, it can take a little longer – but that's within reason. One small suggestion for improvement would be to number the tapas on the menu to make ordering easier for both parties. In conclusion: The price-performance ratio isn't quite balanced, but if you love tapas, you'll definitely get your money's worth here – and that's exactly why we'll gladly return.

From the moment we entered the charming entrance of La Esquina – Tapas y Vinos, we felt like we were on a mini-trip to Spain. The stylish, lovingly designed interior exudes coziness and creates a warm atmosphere – perfect for a relaxing evening. The warm, attentive service immediately impressed us. The staff is friendly, competent, and charmingly guides you through the evening – you can feel their passion for good service at every moment. The food was simply fantastic: We enjoyed a diverse selection of tapas – from prawns al ajillo to garlic mushrooms to lovingly prepared tapas platters. Each dish impresses with its freshness, flavor, and quality. The famous paella, lovingly served in a traditional pan, was a true delight – perfectly cooked, with succulent seafood and authentic flavor. There is also an excellent selection for vegetarians – clearly labeled and delicious. Value for money: The prices of approximately €20 to €30 per person are absolutely reasonable for what's on offer – excellent cuisine, warm hospitality, and an ambiance that invites you to linger. Conclusion: La Esquina – Tapas y Vinos is an absolute highlight for lovers of Spanish cuisine in Cham. Whether tapas, seafood, or paella – the quality, atmosphere, and service are simply perfect. We'll definitely be back – and we'll be happy to!

It was our first time eating there. Unfortunately, we got a table where one person had to face the wall. It would have been nice to be able to sit opposite each other while eating. The garlic mushrooms (tapas) and the garlic bread (starter menu) were very tasty. I had the goat cheese salad, but unfortunately, there was no dressing, so the taste was a bit disappointing. However, the salad was very colorful and beautifully presented. My partner had the pork fillet with pepper cream sauce, and he was very satisfied. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

Went there with a pre-booked group. Ambience very nice and contemporary! The service was overwhelmed and sometimes annoyed - that was the impression. Food came to the table in stages, with a very long delay and then still cold. Overall, the evening was very dissatisfying for all of us. No reason to come again, sorry. We did NOT like the entire process; the structures urgently needed to be worked on.

Four of us had dinner. Arrival was rough, we found ourselves somewhat ignored by the service. Although we were clearly waiting to be escorted to the reserved table, we stood around stupidly in front of the counter. There was (still) little going on. The ambience is fantastic and the selection of food is also good. The food itself is rather average compared to other tapas shops, which don't exist in Cham💁‍♂️ What really irritates me is that they give themselves the name Tapas y Vinos, but there is no wine on the menu and no wine list. When asked it says: red, white, dry, sweet, everything is there...Vine, age, region of origin is probably secondary. Then vino isn't a focus after all... Despite all the criticism and the lack of competition: I can recommend it!

Had tapas for the first time today. We tried queerbeet once and everything was really delicious. The only negative point goes to the potato salad. It was a bit very bland in taste. Otherwise everything else was very well seasoned and tasted perfect. The restaurant itself is really tastefully decorated and not too cluttered. A tiny minus point goes to the service. It was very crowded and there were only 2 wait staff. The lady really made an absolute effort to do justice to every table, but you still found yourself left high and dry for a while. We will definitely come back.

I ordered the salad plate with sheep's cheese for €13.50 and was more than disappointed. The corn was almost completely missing, no walnuts, far too sweet and a lot of iceberg lettuce, which only tastes watery anyway. The price is not justified and the picture on the homepage looks different.

Unfortunately, contrary to the name, there is little wine selection. The tapas taste very tasty. Unfortunately the taste of the paella was not satisfactory and some of the mussels were cold. Still a nice atmosphere, especially in summer, and good service.

Very nice atmosphere and very nice staff. Nice facility. Unfortunately, not all of the dishes were convincing. The bao ban was really delicious. The chorizo ​​al vino tinto was also very good. The Albondigas con salsa were tasty, although the sauce could have used more spice. Unfortunately, the mashed potatoes with the cooked octopus were very dry. The octopus itself also seemed a bit dry and unfortunately wasn't my cup of tea as it tasted very fishy. That's why I think it's thawed pulp or packaged goods. Unfortunately, the filled dumplings with mushroom and cheese filling were also very dry. Unfortunately, the dressing of the Caesar salad was not successful.

Despite making a reservation in advance, there were problems organizing a table for us (2 people). Apparently our reservation was canceled. We were then shown to our table, visibly annoyed, but with a tight time limit because this table was also reserved afterwards. The atmosphere is quite stylish, but the location is far too small for such a large number of tables. This makes the whole thing very hectic and you don't feel comfortable at all. The food was below average. The shrimp starter was undercooked and very disappointing in terms of taste, and the portion sizes were also very manageable. However, the main course was delicious and the turkey with stuffing was tasty. But then the fries were very tasteless and the accompanying salad also lacked any “oomph”. You can expect more for this price category. A pity! You will also be jostled by the staff without an apology. There will be a e.g. The plate was taken away during the meal or simply taken away without asking and then when you needed something you were served in an annoyed manner. The staff also creates a hectic and very uncomfortable atmosphere. At the end we were almost driven away. The above-mentioned ones were also not chosen. Points apologized or addressed. A very good tapas restaurant on the Cham market square. The paellas are particularly recommended, but most of the tapas were also very well prepared. When it comes to service, you notice that there is still a bit of experience in gatsronomy, but that doesn't take away from the positive experience at La Esquina.

Tolle Tapas, in hoher Qualität, in einem sehr schönen ansprechenden Ambiente. Die Struktur-/ Spachteltechnik in der Mitte des Gastraumes ist sehr gelungen.

Wir hatten das Vergnügen, Mittags im Restaurant "La Esquina - Tapas y Vinos" zu verbringen, und meine Erwartungen wurden bei weitem übertroffen. Das Personal war äußerst aufmerksam und freundlich. Diese Professionalität trug maßgeblich zu meinem positiven Gesamteindruck bei. Die Speisekarte bot eine beeindruckende Vielfalt an authentischen spanischen Gerichten. Wir entschieden uns für die Paella, die in einer traditionellen Paellapfanne serviert wurde. Der Reis war perfekt gegart, und die Meeresfrüchte, angeführt von saftigen Garnelen und Muscheln, verliehen dem Gericht einen unverkennbaren Geschmack von Spaniens Küsten. Zudem wählten wir die Tapes Platte für 2 Personen. Diese beinhalteten kleine Paprikaschoten, die in Olivenöl angebraten und mit grobem Meersalz bestreut wurden. Spanischen Kartoffelsalat, Hausgemachte Rindfleischbällchen in Tomatensoße, Hausgemachtes spanisches Omelett aus Eiern und Kartoffeln und vieles mehr. Die einfache Zubereitung betonte die Frische der Zutaten und machte dieses Gericht zu einem wahren Gaumenschmaus. Alles in allem war mein Besuch im " La Esquina " ein Fest für die Sinne. Die Kombination aus exzellentem Service, authentischer Küche und einer angenehmen Atmosphäre macht dieses Restaurant zu einem Muss für Liebhaber der spanischen Gastronomie. Ich freue mich bereits auf meinen nächsten Besuch!

Essen und Ambiente in Ordnung. Service sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Hatten keine zu lange Wartezeit. Bei der Paella wird bereits bei der Bestellung darauf aufmerksam gemacht das sie ca 30 min dauert. Haben 2 verschiedene Tapas probiert. Einmal eine mit Garnele diese war völlig in Ordnung und einmal Kartoffeln mit pikanter Soße, Soße schmeckte richtig gut. Paella war gut, leider das Hähnchen sehr trocken. Meeresfrüchte und Garnelen gut. Restaurant ist Baby-/Kinderfreundlich.

Cham im November 2023: Der Wind weht rau über die kleine Bayrisch-Oberpfälzerische Kleinstadt. Mittendrin, ein Spanisches Restaurant! Die Chefin eine gebürtige Tschechin, die Servicekräfte Indisch, Köche Spanisch, und eine winkende Asiatische Katze am Tresen 🙈 Wow, hier wird vielfalt gelebt! Das Essen war lecker, aber nicht wirklich was dabei was mir zusagt. Die Musik zu laut, und die Wartezeit mit 40min. zu lange bei 20 anwesenden Gästen. Für mich als ungeduldige und "immer" hungrige Person ein No-Go. Alle waren sehr nett und putzig - das Ambiente toll. Werde aber nicht wieder kommen! Die Bewertung habe ich aus meiner persönlichen Sichtweise verfasst, möge sich der eine oder andere selbst hiervon ein Bild machen. Adiòs ✌️

Gemütliches Ambiente, aber enttäuschende Speisen. Das Restaurant La Esquina beeindruckt mit seinem modernen, geschmackvollen Ambiente und einer angenehmen Lautstärke im Gastraum. Der Service ist freundlich, wenn auch die Verständigung auf Deutsch nicht ganz reibungslos verläuft. Leider waren die meisten Vorspeisen und Tapas geschmacklos, frittiert und fettig - uns hat es nicht geschmeckt. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt für uns nicht, daher werden wir La Esquina nicht mehr besuchen.

Sehr lecker, super Service, große Auswahl an Tapas und sonstigen Gerichten. Die Paella war großzügig für zwei Personen. Einzig die Markierung der Allergiestoffe in der Karte haben wir vermisst, daher einen Punkt Abzug.

Sehr leckeres Essen. So ein Restaurant hat in Cham noch gefehlt. Die Speisen waren alle sehr ansehnlich dekoriert. Die Schwarze Johannisbeerschorle mit Zimt hat exzellent geschmeckt. Werde definitiv bald wieder kommen.

Von den Tapas waren die Auberginen in Honig lecker, die Albondigas auch, die Tortilla aber viel zu trocken und die Sardinen leider nicht knusprig. Die Musikbeschallung der Gäste - die sich offenkundig unterhalten möchten - ist mehr als unnötig. Der Service ist allerdings um Welten besser, als alles was Gäste in Hessen erleben können.

Schönes Ambiente! Essen und Service Top! Preise etwas höher aber ich finde gerechtfertigt für die 1a Ware! Gerne wieder! Nur zu empfehlen!

Absolut spitze, das Ambiente ist wirklich toll, das Personal sehr freundlich und das Essen ist der Wahnsinn, es ist sehr sehr gut. Gerne würde ich noch mehr Sterne vergeben, ihr hättet es locker verdient.

Bin total begeistert. Das Essen schmeckt super und der Service 1. Klasse. Wir wurden bedient wie in einem Sternerestsurant. Aus nur schnell was essen gehen wurde ein schöner Abend mit Vorspeise, Hauptspeise und Nachtisch. Den Nachtisch konnten wir uns nicht entgehen lassen. Es wurde immer geschaut oder nachgefragt ob wir alles haben und ob alles passt. Ein großes Lob an die junge Dame und dem Herren im Service. Auch an die Küche ein großes Lob.
