Super cozy little restaurant. Delicious food in generous portions. Friendly and humorous service. Option to sit outside and inside.

I went there with friends around 2 weeks ago. The service is good and in general the atmosphere is also quite nice. It’s cozy and comfortable. What I was a bit disappointed is the food. I came with high expectations because of the high ratings in google maps. We ordered several warm and cold tapas plus a paella. Apart from the shrimps and pimientos de padron that are quite alright. The rest are in general a bit tasteless. We were also quite surprised with the size of the paella, compared to the price.

A beautiful place with a great atmosphere. Absolutely delicious food, very nice service. I can only recommend. We would love to come back whenever we are in the area again.

I'm not a tapas expert but I enjoyed it, there was an extensive selection and everything came to the table at the same time. Service was also good, we had very nice service, if you're unlucky the service may not speak German. I found the atmosphere a bit too dark, the placement didn't work out so well, the table where we wanted to sit still had the previous things. We then had to swap the space we got because it was already reserved for others. In the end we sat at the table we wanted. Since the place is relatively small, it gets quite loud when it's full. You should definitely reserve a table for the evening.

We were in the restaurant very late in the evening and were able to order a lot of delicious tapas! The operators are very friendly! We had a lovely, fun evening. Thank you!

From the outside it's an inconspicuous restaurant. Tried it after looking at the Google review. Then I ate my best tapas so far, which were served by very good and attentive service. If I lived in Berlin I would eat here regularly.

Before our visit to the Friedrichstadt Palast we wanted to go out for dinner. The tapas restaurant was nearby and impressed us with its food. The service staff was very friendly, everything was tasty.

The main courses are also very tasty and large portions are served. The staff is very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. They take the time to explain the dishes and make recommendations. The service is quick and efficient, which makes the visit very pleasant.

Best tapas in Germany that I have eaten so far. But there are also trips to the Mexican cantina. Overall, great shop. 😍

Friendly staff and good food. It's just that it's very tight there. You can hardly move. When you have to go to the toilet, you always bump into the guest at the next table.

Amazing tapas. The calamari rings were a little overcooked though, but they were still good. The service was a bit confusing and somewhat slow. We ordered some water at one waiter. while we decided what tapas we wanted. Then, another waiter came to us, coughed almost right in our faces with his vape in hand, and asked if we wanted something to drink. We told him about the water, and he left. Very shortly after, the first waiter came out to take our order, and we told him his colleague was just here. He then asked if he brought the water, to which we answered that he didn’t. He sighed and apologised. We then asked for a couple more minutes to decide on the food, and he took that very seriously apparently. We sat waiting for around 10 minutes before he came back. When we finally ordered and got our food shortly after, the bread we were promised was missing, and came 10 minutes after the rest of the food. Despite this, we had a pleasant experience with overall nice and friendly staff as well as good food. When we revisit Berlin, we will likely eat there again.

The good reviews attracted us and we were very convinced. Really delicious food, the two of us shared 6 different tapas for around €32, plus fresh, warm bread and the best aioli I've had in a long time, so we left well satisfied.

Spanish food and tapas in Berlin style.....he he he he. ABUNDANT dishes (with 1 serving you eat 2), very attentive service and attended in Spanish (cook and waiter originally from Cuba), as well as the menu. They served us at 10:30 p.m., our flight arrived at 9:30 p.m. to Berlin and we already thought that we weren't going to be able to have anything decent for dinner...(open until 11:00 p.m.) without problems, which was very appreciated with the schedules Europeans.

Very attentive staff, super delicious food and a really large selection. We had 8 different tapas and they all tasted excellent. Bread was included free of charge! The location at the street intersection is perhaps a little noisier, but when the bar is busy and full in the evening, you can almost only hear the other guests and less the traffic. The interior is very nice and the smaller outdoor area is inviting and cozy 😊👌🏻

We came here for dinner very late in the evening (11pm) after an interminably long session. We received a very friendly welcome. When we asked whether there was anything to eat so late, we were told that we could of course still eat with them in peace. We ordered 10 different tapas for 3 people, which were plentiful and all very tasty. The open red wine was also very good. The service was extremely friendly and the bill was well below our expectations. Bravo, I can fully recommend the restaurant!

A really incredibly good tapas bar, all the tapas were of great quality and a decent size, the prices are absolutely okay and the taste was a dream, we were all thrilled, the service had fun at work and was totally attentive, it went quickly and didn't take long Waiting time - we can only recommend it.

We had a lovely evening, the host spontaneously provided us with a seat, we were able to order straight away and the food was fantastic and plentiful. Great cocktails and delicious drinks. Highly recommended and thank you very much.

La Esperanza is an absolute gem! We ordered 6 tapas, and every single one was fabulous. The ribs were a highlight – a huge portion with an incredible taste, and even the potatoes were delicious. The chili con carne, although technically a soup, was hearty enough to serve as a main course, perfectly spiced with just the right amount of kick. We also had a 50cl sangria, which was exquisite and paired wonderfully with the meal. The service was top-notch; our waiter was super friendly and gave excellent recommendations. Overall, an amazing dining experience. Highly recommend!

Super tasty Spaniard with natural friendliness and fast but relaxed service and modern but classic cuisine. After we were there as tourists to eat tapas the day before yesterday, I absolutely had to try the paëlla today and experienced a "revelation"! The best Valenciana in ages! Everything on it and inside that belongs: mussels and cockles, crabs, fish. Chicken, peas etc and saffron rice at its best A great dining experience at a very fair price (just under €60 for two including several drinks)!

Great place havent tried the food yet but it lools nice

We were looking for something in the area at short notice and were there for the first time yesterday. Even though it was Saturday, around 7:30 p.m., we still got a table inside. Due to the heat, all the tables outside were occupied. But it would also have been too loud for us (a lot of traffic at the intersection). We decided on the 6 variations (i.e. a selection of 6 tapas warm or cold). The record costs €31.90, the photos in the reviews at €25.90 are out of date. The individual prices are 5.90 and 6.90 respectively, so you can get away with the record well. There is a piece of paper with the card on which you can mark the individual tapas. This makes ordering very easy. The tapas came after about 15 minutes and were all very tasty. It was served with fresh, dark bread and two bowls of aioli (I'm not a huge fan of garlic but it was delicious). Card payment was possible. Overall, clear recommendation.

Of course it's a little more comfortable than on a busy street, but the shop is really worth a visit. We only chose from the tapas and they were excellent.

Great food for very fair prices. Nice and comfortable atmosphere, which allows you to relax and enjoy your visit even though the restaurant is located on the corner of a busy street. Parking is a problem, but you have good public transportation connections.

Very tasty tapas! Freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only point deducted is for the aioli that was ordered - it was very tasty but the bowl was unfortunately very tiny. All in all, I would recommend this restaurant and come here again myself.

Last night we decided to go to dinner at this restaurant which has a Spanish name. To our regret we found that the only Spanish thing it had was the name. Being able to recite some examples would be a potato omelet with partially raw potatoes, a patatas bravas which were submerged in the sauce and was extremely spicy, hard croquettes, etc. Therefore I do not consider it appropriate to consider their cuisine Spanish. For the fact that it does not resemble our gastronomy.

My friends wanted to eat tapas and I found this restaurant on Google Maps and reserved a table. I have to say the food exceeded our expectations and was incredibly tasty. The service was very friendly, and the paella portion was large and tasted great - absolutely recommended.

If La Esperanza were in Stuttgart, it would be our regular restaurant. Great selection of tapas, delicious paella and fruity, refreshing sangria. The restaurant could have been in Barre Gothic in Barcelona. ☺️

DON’T GO! Forget our order! Super slow! Brought us still water when we asked for sparkling…we felt that we were not welcome at all! ( we are🏳️‍🌈 ). Low quality meat! Overpriced soft drinks! Pretty sure most of their reviews are fake( not verified)!

Sensational food and super friendly staff you really can't complain. Even though the restaurant was very full, the staff kept the whole place running smoothly and we were able to receive our orders quickly. We'll definitely be back and are already looking forward to it.

This was THE WORST dining experience I've ever had. I came with a large group and we were told we could be serviced. However, upon sitting down we waited over an hour just for water and multiple people in my group never received their beverages. One person's food was brought out cold and two others never received their food before we had to leave. Our waiter argued with us about paying for items we either never received or received as we were leaving, 2 hours later. If you are foreign, I strongly discourage you from having a meal at this establishment. I would also discourage parties of more than 3 from eating here unless you hav 2+ hours to wait on water, beverages and food and I have the patience to ask for items at least three times. Additionally, the food was decent at best but definitely not worth the money. It was honestly just an entirely horrible dining experience that really put a damper on our overall experience in Germany.

i wish i could give this 0 place stars. it took our table an hour just to get waters after asking time and time again for them. some people in my party waited an hour and a half to get our drinks. our food came out after an hour and a half and much if it was cold. some of us never even got our food. some of us never got our drinks. this is the worst service i have ever had in my life - i could not warn you enough to NOT COME HERE! when we tried to refuse to pay for the water we waited an hour for, we got an irate response from the waiter. all we are being offered for our troubles are deserts - which will probably take an hour just to get here. we are international students and are missing class for this. 👎🏽

Food, service and ambience are rather mediocre. You can go, but you don't have to. There are also better Spanish restaurants in the City East (although of course they ALL necessarily have a “tourist character”)!

Classic Spanish tapas restaurant, the best of the simple, churros and crema Catalana included... and also great: San Miguel on tap... totally reminded me of my 2 years working in Spain.

The food is amazing! Paella tasty really nice, but the portion is small. I give 4 stars because Sangria 0.5 l costs 13.9 euro. It’s too expansive.

Altough it was very tasty, the portions of food were very small. I ordered chicken skewers for around €6.5 and it were just 2 pieces of around 10cm per skewer. The crema catalana was just microwaved and there were lumps in it. When we asked why there was a lemon pitt in my friends crema catalana, the waiter didn’t quite understand us and just told us that that was normal. The staff was nice and most of the food was good, altough overpriced (there is a deal wich is: 6 tapas for €31.)

It was my first time in this restaurant/bar and I can only say: I highly recommend it. There were four of us and we had a really nice place by the large, completely open window. The service was excellent. We were served quickly and very friendly, the food and drinks were delicious. The staff is attentive and very appreciative. Thank you very much for the great evening with you. I'm really looking forward to the next visit.
