Card payment wasn't possible; instead, there were notices on the tables explaining why. This didn't seem like a temporary technical issue and, in my opinion, is completely unacceptable for a restaurant. The pizza was burnt on the bottom about halfway through. Service and atmosphere were fine.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the wonderful Italian ambiance, both indoors and out, was fantastic. Plus, the service was provided by very friendly and genuine Italians. It's always worth coming back.

We went there with the Cullinaris menu and had the 4-course menu. The service was really great, and the restaurant was also very tidy and well-attended. There are small lamps on each table to create a cozy atmosphere. The food was very tasty. For me, the portions could have been a bit larger, but it was sufficient. I didn't wake up hungry, but I could have eaten another bite. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating; there was really nothing to complain about. Although every table was occupied (so reservations are mandatory), the noise level was perfectly acceptable and not unpleasant. And despite the large number of guests, we never had to wait long for a server. So, all in all, highly recommended, and we would gladly come back.

Last Friday, we celebrated a 70th birthday in the adjoining room. We would like to thank Claudio and his team for the successful party and the delicious food and drinks. We can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant. All of our guests personally thanked us for the wonderful atmosphere.

The ambiance in the courtyard is really nice, and the service is also really good and friendly, even if it was a bit annoying that the tables, which weren't decorated yet, were being set the whole time, and there was quite a bit of hustle and bustle. But it has to be done at some point, so it was just unfortunate. The food was absolutely average. The pizza was okay for the price, but nothing more. The salad was also okay, although the ham and cheese rolls reminded me of the 90s. But all in all, it's okay, but definitely not an insider tip!

La Dolce Vita is a cozy restaurant in the heart of Recklinghausen's old town, so only accessible on foot, but there's a parking garage nearby. The weather was great, so we headed out to the summer garden. The seating is very quiet and comfortable under a huge double awning at tables that have already been set. The service is attentive but isolated and therefore overwhelmed as the restaurant gets busier and more people come. We both ordered the liver, a quarter of Pinot Noir, and a large bottle of mineral water from the lunch menu. I hadn't even looked at the menu; I had simply agreed with my friend's decision. So the sight of the served plate was a little bit miraculous. On the plate was a single piece of grilled liver, two leftover pieces of liver on top, and 8 slices of fried potatoes. No garnish, no sauce, absolutely nothing. Wow, stripped down to the essentials, was our first thought! The liver was well grilled, with a bit of garlic in olive oil on top; I think it was about 120g. So it disappeared after 4 servings. But there were still 4 potato slices on the large, empty plate, so I ate the slices without anything else. What can I say? Any tapas bar on the beach could do better! A dollop of aioli or braised sauce would have made a big difference, half a lemon and salt! THAT WAS CLEARLY NOTHING! After a long wait, we finally paid €36.80. Please decide for yourself whether this was appropriate or worth a visit; we won't be going there again...

I was there for the first time today, and I have to say, I really do go for fine dining quite often. At first, I only saw the outdoor tables in front of the restaurant and didn't feel like sitting in that arcade. A friendly waiter approached us and said, "Come on, come in to our newly renovated courtyard." So we went through the restaurant, came through the back door, and wow, perfect 👌🏼 Great atmosphere, total Italian flair. Ordered the pasta al dente, perfect, service 5*****—I honestly wasn't expecting that in Recklinghausen. Price: 4****, the pasta portion could have been a bit larger. But I definitely recommend it, and I'll eat there more often. Best, 5*****

We've been enjoying eating at this restaurant for years (June 23, 2025). We've had lunch or dinner there, too. But this time we were more than disappointed with the appetizer plate and even shared this with the waiter, offering constructive criticism. (The meatballs were drenched in ketchup instead of tomato sauce. Instead of buffalo mozzarella, we had cheap, firm ping-pong mozzarella, etc.) The price/performance ratio is no longer right. Unfortunately, the fresh vongole listed on the reduced menu (which deserves praise) weren't available, even frozen. This is a high-level complaint, but the competition never sleeps. They're doing better. We hope the owner returns to his former excellent cuisine.

A small, tastefully decorated shop with a pleasant atmosphere and a friendly, dedicated team. You feel welcome from the moment you enter. The prices are moderate and therefore quite appropriate for a stylish dinner. The appetizers were impressive, both in terms of taste and presentation. Unfortunately, the main courses didn't meet this standard: Of the four pasta dishes we ordered, three were significantly disappointing, and the fourth was initially forgotten and arrived about 15 minutes late. The carbonara, in particular, was a disappointment! The egg was obviously curdled, presumably due to excessive heat when mixing it with the pasta. Instead of a creamy, smooth consistency, the sauce was dry, almost lumpy. The other dishes my companions ordered also fell short of expectations. The plates were returned half-full. As much as we appreciated the atmosphere and the service, the evening left a rather disappointing culinary impression. Whether we'll venture back is therefore questionable.

I was there again for business with guests. As always, everyone was thrilled. It wasn't exactly cheap, but the quality was top-notch.

Wir habn einen Schwertfisch für 26 EUR /Person gegessen. Der Fische wurde tiefgefroren einfach nur gekocht, hatte absolut keinen Geschmack, war dunkel und schwamm im Olivenöl. Beilage war ein Salat. Eine Frechheit so etwas anzubieten. War seit 2 1/2 Jahren nicht mehr dort, sonst sehr oft. Ich kann das Dolce Vita nun absolut nicht mehr empfehlen. Da ist mir mein Geld zu schade.

The homemade tagliatelle with sausage in a white wine sauce and the lasagna were both very good. The former was from the rotating selection, which supplements the regular menu with special, sophisticated dishes. The antipasti offerings were also very good. We have already visited the restaurant several times. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality. The staff was very friendly and competent. Well-kept decor, and the atmosphere was pleasant. A definite recommendation.

Leider nur Durchschnitt....die Antipastiplatte war ziemlich geschmacklos. Die Bandnudeln mit Lachs waren leider mit wenig Lachs dafür mit viel anderem, weißem Fisch angerichtet. Die Oliven als Gruß aus der Küche waren ungenießbar. So stelle ich mir gute, italienische Küche nicht vor! Nach der Beschwerde bei der Bedienung kam.....nichts!!! Kritik ist offensichtlich nicht erwünscht.
