The best service I have ever seen in an Italian restaurant. Better than Italy! Very tasty food!

The food, the ambience, the service, everything is really a 10/10. Far beyond German standards and at a fair price! Feels like eating with an Italian family.

The ambience was quite nice, the food was okay. The service was far disgraceful. Shortly after we arrived they told us that we had an hour and rushed us. It took an eternity for the food to arrive and when the food arrived the wrong dish arrived. It took 15 minutes for the food to be re-prepared. Service is incompetent.

Unfortunately an absolute disappointment! I had reserved a table especially for Valentine's Day, but when I arrived I still had to wait outside for half an hour - and we weren't the only ones. There were six other guests in front of me who also had to wait with reservations. The employee was also extremely unfriendly and not solution-oriented at all. No apology, no alternative - just a stroppy tone. This is not how you treat paying guests! It's a shame, because I was actually looking forward to a nice evening. But due to the poor service, I definitely won't be visiting again.

We were there several times because we always liked it very much. A friend was celebrating his birthday and we were sitting outside in the tent. The tables and chairs were so tightly spaced that it was not possible to get up to use the toilet, for example, without having to push someone away. You could also feel the waiter's elbow on the back of your head every now and then. The volume level was enormous and normal conversation was impossible. My meal, spaghetti with truffles and parmesan, was a very small portion not appropriate for the price. Unfortunately, the quantity of a starter platter for 60 euros was not appropriate for the price. Otherwise friendly service as always, but for now we won't be going there again. It's a shame but you should expect more from an upscale Italian restaurant.

The hustle and bustle and the noise level were not suitable for having a good conversation. The truffle pasta was good, but not great. The sea bream in salt dough was very good.

Food is great and the staff is exactly as you would have in Italy. The only reason for 4 stars is that in winter people can sit in a covered area outside, however people can also smoke, which was not ideal. Would come again and sit inside 😊

A visit to La Dolce Vita on the Oederweg in Frankfurt am Main was a real highlight! As soon as we entered the restaurant we were warmly welcomed by waiter Patrick - it felt like meeting an old friend. His recommendation, the truffle pasta, was an absolute hit: fresh, aromatic and simply delicious! Patrick took the time to ask us about our first visit and said charmingly: "Then it certainly won't be the last time." After this excellent food and first-class service, we can only confirm that - we'll definitely be back! A big compliment to the entire team, especially Patrick, for an unforgettable evening. Absolutely recommended!

We visited Dolce Vita as a group of friends and were delighted with the varied offerings on the menu. We sat in the covered outdoor area, there were radiant heaters, but they were positioned in such a way that relatively little heat reached us due to the uneven heat distribution. The restaurant was very busy, so the service took longer. Our order included an antipasti platter, truffle pasta, two different pizzas and the pasta with venison ragù. Unfortunately there was an unbalanced use of salt in all dishes. The truffle pasta, which we were particularly looking forward to, was sparingly, if at all, tossed in the parmesan wheel (parmesan had to be added later). Nevertheless, it was charged in full. Unfortunately, the pizza was very salty and not really convincing either. The service was overwhelmed, which was certainly due to the full house, but it was still noticeable. A restaurant can't do anything for the guests, but it's still strange to ask the large dining room group whether it's ok to smoke iqos?! Jackets were not hung on a coat rack as usual, but rather left on the ground in a side tent. Overall, the visit was by no means catastrophic, but definitely not what we expect from a restaurant visit.

Very nice restaurant designed with a lot of love. The service is very, very attentive and the food is heavenly, a dream. From now on I'll be happy to come here more often to eat, the sole and the zabajones are incredible, really a culinary orgasm. The rose that the waiter gave me as a farewell gift on September 25, 2018 is still alive after more than 8 days, just like it was on the first day.

We had reserved a table for 9:00 p.m. and arrived at 8:45 p.m. Nevertheless, we had to wait a whole hour before we were finally allowed into the restaurant at 9:45 p.m. As soon as we arrived we were told that we would have to wait at least 30 minutes - why did we have to wait at all if we had reserved? During this waiting time we had to stay in the cold, which was very uncomfortable. We were offered a Prosecco as an apology, but it only arrived after more than 30 minutes. On the same day we asked by phone whether the menu was as usual and whether there were any price differences. We were told on the phone that there would only be a few fewer dishes and that the prices would be slightly increased. However, the reality on site was different: the menu was greatly reduced (only 4 starters and 4 main courses, no pizza) and the prices were significantly exorbitant. The cheapest dish, a pasta arrabbiata, cost €14.50, while most of the main courses were over €20. The service overall was disappointing. During the meal, no one asked if everything was OK or if we wanted anything else. It wasn't until the very end of the evening that we were asked whether it was tasty - but without much interest or effort. I wouldn't recommend it on New Year's Eve.

We made reservations at 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve. During the phone call I specifically asked whether the normal menu was also valid. We were told that there were a few fewer dishes and that the prices were minimal. When we arrived (15 minutes early) we were told straight away that we had to be patient (we made a reservation?) and that we had to wait half an hour. The treatment was inferior, but we were given prosecco. We waited 45 minutes until we got a table and also saw the menu. Dishes were €10 more expensive and drinks were four times more expensive. Is this what is meant by a minimal increase? We weren't served well, we weren't asked if everything was okay and we weren't paid any attention at all. It's a shame that the year had to end with such a visit. Definitely not recommended.

Here, excellent taste and the noticeable quality of the ingredients meet a special warmth. The team, led by the charming and always attentive boss, ensures that you feel completely at home with their hospitality and smile. Patrick and Alex are also absolutely top notch in service. An absolute recommendation – always happy!

We had made a reservation for the outside terrace days before. When we got there, after a long wait, we were told that a reservation was not a guarantee. We then left the restaurant and after an hour we got a call that a table was now available. Pretty cheeky ;)

Food outstanding, service a complete disaster… After we sat down and already had the card, we were supposed to get up again and sit outside. The comment about taking the napkins with us was cheeky. After we were allowed to sit down and order, we were almost ignored because the tables around us probably brought more money. Service was anything but friendly when he was at the table and used the adjacent table as a shelf for plates that had already been used. The ambience was so disturbed by the service that we didn't order dessert. The kitchen does a good job, that shouldn't go unmentioned. A visit to a restaurant is like a little culinary trip to Italy - that's exactly how we felt at La Dolce Vita! As soon as we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the boss with a Prosecco - a perfect start. The service was excellent, especially the waiter who took care of our experience like a conductor. Without looking at the menu for long, we followed his recommendations, which turned out to be a real hit. From the drinks to the main courses to the desserts, everything was perfectly balanced and delicious. What was particularly impressive was the quality of the ingredients and the authentic preparation of the dishes - a real feast for the senses. Conclusion: La Dolce Vita is not just a restaurant, but an experience. The perfect combination of hospitality, excellent service and masterful cuisine. We'll definitely be back!

Probably the best Italian restaurant in Frankfurt. Went on a hot summer day to their small garden for a birthday dinner of a friend, we did a reservation since we were six. The staff was kind, speaks a lot of different languages and did a lot of good suggestions (good sellers, that you don’t feel like they are selling). As a starter we had the fresh bread (super nice and seemed homemade) with olive oil and a tomato bruschetta. The risottos and pizzas were also good, and the pizza for price quality can be a pretty good choice. I chose the pasta with truffle, and guess what, it was divine, one of the best Italian dishes I have ever tried. The Aperol Spritz and Limoncello were good I enjoyed the Tiramisu and felt like it was a good portion to be shared.

I debated for a long time whether I should even write a review, but even after four months this visit still doesn't let me go. In August I went to this restaurant with my best friend and two other guests to celebrate her birthday. Unfortunately, this evening in no way offered what one would hope for from a visit to a restaurant. The stress began as soon as I entered the restaurant. We hadn't sat down for a minute before the cards were already handed to us. It seemed very rushed. A changing staff appeared at our table every five minutes to ask if we would like anything. You immediately felt pushed. That wasn't attentive service, it was just pushy. The next low point: our food order. The fact that we didn't want an appetizer seemed like an affront. We were pierced with stares. To be honest, it was a hot summer day, we didn't want to overeat, but rather enjoy a main course and maybe dessert. That's not a crime! The fact that one expects a restaurant to accept the wishes of its guests did not seem to be the case here. My friend's truffle pasta was the next topic. She ordered them without parmesan, which is her personal preference. I also decided against the cheese - simply because I didn't feel like it in the heat. But our request seemed to be interpreted as a cost-cutting measure. The waiter who took the order made this more than clear through his facial expressions. We had alcohol, a large bottle of water, anything but a “cheap” order – and yet we were treated like stingy students. The absolute low point, however, was the pepper thing. When serving, a waiter asked if we would like fresh pepper. Two of us said yes, one friend declined - simply because she doesn't like pepper. Instead of accepting this without comment, the waiter said in a sarcastic tone: “But it’s also free.” Please what?! This sentence is a disgrace. As if we were shying away from a free pepper! We are working women with our own income, not scroungers who have to be happy about “free”. It wasn't until we ordered dessert - obviously a signal that we were willing to spend more money - that the service relaxed slightly. But the impression had long been ruined by this point. We felt unwelcome, patronized and treated pettily. After dessert, we left the restaurant as quickly as possible.

We went here for dinner last night and had a great evening! The food was very tasty, the service was attentive. There was a greeting from the kitchen, fluffy bread, grappa on the house and a rose to say goodbye 🌹I haven't experienced that in a restaurant for a long time and it should be appreciated accordingly. Ordered a pizza online for pickup. Estimated time was 8-10 minutes, it took 1 hour and the pizza was cold when the restaurant handed it over. And didn't really taste that good.

The food was really delicious, but unfortunately the service was disappointing. We made a reservation at 8 p.m. and after only 50 minutes the waiter asked us to vacate the table because there were two guests waiting outside. We were told that we were only allowed to continue drinking outside, it was not allowed inside. It was a shame to have to end the evening so abruptly - a little more hospitality and flexibility would have made the visit much more pleasant!

Went to the restaurant with the family for the first time today. Very attentive service from the start. Patrick's recommendations have consistently proven to be a hit. Patrick accompanied us throughout the long evening, laughed with us and toasted with us at the end. Leg of lamb, sea bream in a salt coating and pasta in truffle/parmesan. We went to La Dolce Vita for the first time today and were absolutely thrilled. We had a 5 course gourmet dinner which tasted exquisite. Everything was on point. Thank you also for the nice and courteous service from Patrick. We'll be back.

1. When I wanted to pay by card, the waiter stared at me extremely annoyed and grumbled that I should pay in cash. However, the card machine was in front of me and I asked for card payment several times. 2. He then took my card out of my hand very aggressively. When he returned it, he THROPPED the card on the table in annoyance. I find this behavior not only unprofessional, but also simply not interpersonally correct.

As a Frankfurter it's a shame that I only found the restaurant now, we had a wonderful evening at La Dolce Vita today, the food, service and ambience were excellent! I will definitely come back! :)

After a few years we are back to La Dolce Vita. As can be seen from my review, all the courses were great and the ambience was fantastic. What made the evening perfect was Patrick's attentive service (as well as the rest of the team) and of course the delicious grappa. We are already looking forward to the next visit!

Unfortunately today it was carelessly prepared and the bread was crunchy the pizza wasn't crispy...but still tasty, the mushrooms were excellent, the rocket salad was moderately seasoned and covered with roughly grated slices of parmesan...but the boss gave it his all again...and gave us his best dessert appeased...

Excellent Italian restaurant in the north end with a beautiful outdoor area. The pasta and desserts were excellent, the waiter's recommendations were good and the wine list was also impressive. A little more expensive, but absolutely worth the money.

At 8:30 p.m. we were refused entry, even though several tables outside were free. We're supposed to come half an hour later. I find it a disgrace. Apparently they choose their customers!!!

I used to like coming here but currently I keep getting ripped off. Last time we were asked if we want a starter snd when the waitors start recommending something that not on the menue you better watch out. We had some Pfifferlinge with salad…cost us 19 euros per person which left us afterwards speechless, especially because the portion was small and we thought he wouldnt cost that much. In the past this has happened 3 times there, wont be going back

Very authentic Italian. Great food, a bit of chaos. At La Dolce Vita you get Italy with everything that goes with it. We weren't able to reserve a table anywhere for six people on a Saturday lunchtime except there. Somehow they managed to squeeze us in. We had to wait outside for almost 45 minutes, but were served drinks. Once inside we were somehow maneuvered to a table; it was narrow, loud and still somehow funny. The waiters are very personable and their manner makes the whole thing an experience. The wine recommended was excellent, as were the anti-pasti, the truffle pasta and the lamb. At La Dolce Vita you know something about food and drink and you get the full load of Italy. However, if you want to eat on time and in peace, this might not be the right place for you.

Es ist wirklich sehr schade, dass man nur 5 Sterne vergeben kann. Das Restaurant hat deutlich mehr Sterne verdient. Das Essen der Service, alles Top. Auch wenn alles etwas länger gedauert hat. Es gab mehrere kleine Aufmerksamkeiten aus der Küche um längere Wartezeiten zu überbrücken und die Kellner sind sehr freundlich und Aufmerksam. Zum Abschluss gab es sogar Rosen und Kekse geschenkt. Sowie einen spitzen Grappa. Wenn ich wieder in Frankfurt bin, komme ich gerne wieder.

Classic in Frankfurt's Nordend! I have been a guest at La Dolce Vita for around 20 years and always go home happy. The waiters are very nice and funny. The restaurant was also very busy on this Tuesday evening. We were served friendly and quickly and everyone was happy with spaghetti arrabiata, sole and veal chop. The dishes were delicious and the fish and meat were absolutely fresh and to the point. The house wine went perfectly with the warm summer evening. There was nothing to complain about, even in terms of price-performance. We were able to sit outside and watch the hustle and bustle of the north end. We can usually find a parking space nearby. We'll be back soon 🤗

Despite reservations, we had to wait 3/4 hour standing on the sidewalk and we were repeatedly promised that our table would be available immediately. Although we were served some Prosecco, it obviously couldn't satisfy our hunger. We decided to go to Vinesso, where we were treated very well, even without a reservation. Day is truly outrageous! We almost embarrassed ourselves during our visit. Why are reservations accepted when it is fully booked? Or why are guests accepted when tables are already reserved? Although we didn't go there often in the past, we did go there regularly. Not anymore!

People! If you all just want to rate pizza, why not just visit a pizzeria? The Dolce Vita is a restaurant, not a snack bar.

What great fun... A feeling of Italy 🇮🇹 in the middle of Frankfurt! Patrik, the authentic service boss, swirls around the full tables and gives the perfect recommendations for the moment. He also has no problem complaining about the illegally parked Ferrari driver across the street... it makes me feel like I'm sitting in the middle of a plaza in Milan. The most important thing: The food is really delicious and authentically Italian! Our fish was fried to perfection and was professionally carved by Patrik. The wines are very well selected, all from Italy 🇮🇹 and the wine list, which is worth seeing, shows the regions from which the wines come. This means that even guests who don't know all the Italian regions exactly can identify the wine. Prices have increased in all restaurants, but I felt very fair here. Highly recommended!!!

A bit hidden, near Oeder Weg. Classic ambience, very nice service. To describe the portions as generous is hardly an exaggeration; if you're normally hungry, two courses are enough. The “open wine” was very good. Reservation is recommended.

The pasta taste was lacking compared to others I’ve been too. Pasta is fresh. Server asked for tips as if he’s forcing for us to give which is a no-no in service industry. Plus, he tried to push things out of the menu which would have probably cost more. Just don’t let them dictate what you eat and you’ll be fine.

We loved the food, every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, our experience was dampened by a rude waiter who treated us condescendingly, telling us how to eat and making us feel unwelcome. It’s disappointing that such amazing food was overshadowed by poor service. If the staff’s attitude improves, this could be a top dining spot.

The four of us had eaten in the restaurant for the first time... because a friend told us about it. Finding a parking space was difficult, but we know that from the north end. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very appealing...Very cozy and very inviting. The boss takes the order personally...the other five waiters serve the food. None of the waiters told us in advance that the asparagus was off the menu (and two of us had chosen something from the asparagus menu). We had starter, main course and dessert. There was a meal with pasta and truffles. And for the price it was a very small portion. Otherwise the food was tasty and sufficient. When we wanted to pay we told the waiter (he was bald with a slight stomach and wore a smartwatch and appeared arrogant) that we would pay separately. The waiter then rolled his eyes and then placed the bill on the table and disappeared. And then we figured it out ourselves. This waiter then took the money and the bill with him. And we got change back. But the waiter didn't come. We then turned to the waiter at the bar and said "That wasn't a tip!" And the boss then gave us the change back. This bad impression then stuck with us in the group. The impression of the restaurant and the food was good...but when you go out to eat you also expect a certain level of service and then you are happy to give a tip. But definitely not like that. Whether we'll go there again... questionable.

Very nice Italian restaurant, very tasty food with good price-performance ratio. Unfortunately, our waiter apparently wasn't having a good day and seemed a bit arrogant. We'll see on the next visit whether that was his form on the day, because I definitely want to eat the truffle pasta again.

The truffle pasta is freshly tossed in a parmesan wheel, but it's not the best I've tasted so far. However, the ambience with candles and roses at the table is a perfect place for a romantic dinner!

Truffle pasta = super tasty, not as difficult as usual! Waiters were very attentive. Only when we paid, the bill was brought to us without asking... probably so that we could make room for the next ones 😅
