A fantastic place and a little piece of Italy in the heart of Frankfurt. Four of us went there, and everyone was absolutely thrilled. The food is outstanding, and all the waiters are fantastic and make you feel a lot of joy in their work.

We're regular guests at this restaurant and are wondering why we've recently been asked to pay our bill in cash. The not-so-friendly waiter, wearing a snide face, made it clear to us in a nasty tone that we can and should only pay in cash! We're not going to tolerate this anymore and therefore don't plan on visiting this establishment again.

I ordered meat. Unfortunately, I don't remember which one, but it was barely edible because it was so tough. It really wasn't cooked well. And unfortunately, the waiters were a bit pushy.

We just wanted to grab a quick pizza at 6 p.m., but it seems like they can do without customers like that. We didn't get a bread basket (like all the other tables), had to wait forever to pay, and the servers were generally rude (including when communicating with other guests). We didn't feel comfortable; the atmosphere was just not pleasant due to the way the servers behaved. Also, the staff smoke right in front of the entrance near the outdoor area. The pizza was okay.

One of the waiters (young and a bit chubby, I think bald) was very bad, but the waiter who took care of us later was very nice, the atmosphere was nice, the food was good, you should make a reservation before coming.

The service is beyond praise. The waiters are attentive, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. They were able to recommend dishes that perfectly matched my taste preferences and did everything they could to make the evening flawless. The cuisine is a true work of art! The dishes are not only beautifully presented but also incredibly delicious. You can tell that only fresh, high-quality products are used. I was particularly impressed by the seafood risotto – tender, aromatic, and simply delicious.

Unfortunately, the service was extremely unfriendly. We had a reservation for 7 p.m. and arrived 10 minutes early. When we asked if we could sit outside, one colleague allowed us to, but the other came straight away and declined. We left after that, so unfortunately, we didn't get to eat. The atmosphere looks good, though.

If you don't drink alcohol or don't want Parmesan, you first have to justify both and listen to the argument that in Italy you definitely eat your truffle pasta with Parmesan (can I please just be left alone and place my order??). Furthermore, despite my alcohol intolerance, I was served an alcoholic drink, and when I asked the waiter about non-alcoholic drinks before I ordered them, he interrupted me and then ignored me. To top it all off, before we'd even finished our drinks, we were asked to leave so the table could be cleared. The food was okay, but not outstanding. Embarrassing service…

We were truly disappointed with our visit. It took a good 30-40 minutes just to order. The pizza was unfortunately completely soggy, and the pasta was practically unseasoned. When we asked for something extra, the staff immediately reacted with annoyance...even when paying, they told us to please pay together, otherwise there would be "too many fees." The highlight was the staff ranting about us in Italian... Too bad one of us actually understood the language. All in all: Unfortunately, it wasn't a pleasant evening (to put it kindly).

We had a thoroughly enjoyable lunch at this charming Italian restaurant. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and seated at one of the tables on the quiet side street – a little oasis that almost felt like a mini-vacation. As a little extra, we were offered a pizza and roll starter on the house – a nice gesture that immediately created a pleasant atmosphere. Our order consisted of a pizza and a fresh salad plate – both arrived after a short wait, which, however, was entirely understandable given the busy courtyard and the sidewalk tables. A particularly positive aspect: The waiter was exceptionally attentive and friendly, came to our table at just the right time, discreetly informed us of the delay, and overall created a very pleasant atmosphere. The food itself was delicious and prepared with love – exactly what you would expect from Italian cuisine. But what made this day special was the relaxed atmosphere: We had time to have good conversations, listen attentively, and simply enjoy the moment – without any stress or rush. We would definitely love to come back—a wonderful place for anyone who appreciates good food, friendly service, and a little break from everyday life.

Unfortunately, very disappointing! Not a place for special occasions. I had reserved a table for a birthday party and we received a very unfriendly welcome, told to "just sit anywhere." • The menu was snatched from my hand without comment, with the explanation that there weren't enough. • The bread basket was simply taken away and returned in an annoyed manner when we asked for it. • Tiramisu was ordered for a birthday party – the bill suddenly added €14.50 instead of €8.50. The reason: "dessert with a show" – it wasn't communicated beforehand, and the portion was tiny (the table next to us had also ordered tiramisu and had double the portion). When we politely asked, we were just laughed at and not taken seriously. • Unpleasant comments, disrespectful tone. You don't feel welcome. Overall, an unprofessional, rude experience. I absolutely cannot recommend it.

The owner is very unfriendly and behaves very awkwardly when customers approach him. The food is delicious, but the chef really needs to work on his attitude. Unfortunately, I can only give it one star :/

We went here availing of a groupon coupon for a 5 course menu for 2 . It was wonderful, we will definitely come again. Food was really good, service was very friendly and excellent! We had a wonderful time. The waiters were very attentive and joking with us because it was such a hot evening. Will definitely come again to just eat from their menu.

The food is okay, and if you order primi, secondi, and dessert, you'll be served decently. However, I find it disgusting that the kitchen staff stand outside smoking, right next to the terrace seating. 🤮

We had received a voucher for a 5-course meal for our wedding. I had mentioned this when making the reservation, and when we arrived, we were rudely informed twice that they don't normally redeem vouchers on weekends. My explanation that I had mentioned this when making the reservation was ignored. They kindly made an exception. When we finally wanted to pay our €30 wine bill, we were made to feel bad for not having cash, but our card was accepted after all. At the same time, a group of women arrived. The waiter told them they should have let them know in advance that they were a large group. There were seven of them, and the waiter said they had only reserved for six, even though they had reserved for eight. In summary, the food was good, but the waiter really doesn't give you a good feeling and is not at all service-oriented. We won't be back.

Eating is like that. The truffle pasta in the Parmesan leaves is briefly tossed in it, you don't notice the cheese. The pizza was soggy, there are much better ones.

We were in Frankfurt for our anniversary and spontaneously discovered La Dolce Vita on Sunday evening. My partner and I haven't left a restaurant with such smiles in a long time. We were offered small starters, the pizza was excellent, as was the espresso. The service was exceptional - the waiter came by regularly to refill water, and all the staff were warm and attentive. After dinner there was chocolate on the house. As we left, a waiter at the entrance handed us a rose with the words: “Dear guests are served with love.” Thank you for your warmth and an unforgettable evening!

Great food and wine list (with good prices). We went on our little one’s birthday on a vacation trip and-without knowing it in advance-they prepared a little surprise for him! But besides this great move, a really good Italian restaurant-highly recommended.

We were a big group and asked to pay the bill separately but they didn't like to do this even though this is pretty common in Germany.

Highly recommended! Where to start? A great discovery! Everything is just right here. This is rare and perhaps also subjective. The little “extras” like bread or a little greeting from the kitchen while ordering make the difference, as does the preparation of the food. You can tell that the cooking here is done with love and understanding! We had the mixed starter plate and as the main course spaghetti with seafood or tagliatelle with deer ragout. I was there with my son, both of whom are enthusiastic hobby cooks and couldn't stop raving about it. The attentiveness of the waitress is just as important as the fact that the menu is not overcrowded. Mint green walls have never mattered so much!! And the price is sensational for this quality! We will definitely come back. Thank you!

We unfortunately had not a nice experience as it seems the restaurant was understaffed. The tables were arranged way too narrow so every time the waiters passed us, they were shoving us. We ordered a large fish for 4 and had to wait very long to get it. The fish was served with lots of bones and not sliced in filets but rather in chunks in our plates. The prices are way high for the quality of food and service you get.

We tried very hard to get a table spontaneously on a Saturday evening. The service was incredibly friendly and accommodating! The highlights: free bruschetta, dessert on the house, and roses for the ladies :) But Patrick with the braided head was absolutely amazing!! While we were already waiting, a couple arrived and was seated immediately, even though we had been there much longer. Wir haben das Dolce Vita, was wir gut kennen, rechtzeitig für 4 Personen persönlich reserviert, kein Problem, man freue sich auf uns - genau wie auf ca. 20 andere Gäste, die (ebenfalls reserviert) sich vor dem Eingang sammelten. Der völlig überforderte Kellner wies barsch die Wartenden zurecht, er würde das alles regeln etc - was natürlich völliger Unsinn war. Das Restaurant war knallvoll und die Wartezeit hätte sehr lange betragen. Wir wissen nicht genau, was schiefgegangen ist, letztendlich interessiert es uns auch nicht (mehr). Das Dolce Vita ist für uns abgehakt. Der Ton und das Handling der Panne haben uns echt verärgert.

The ambience was quite nice, the food was okay. The service was far disgraceful. Shortly after we arrived they told us that we had an hour and rushed us. It took an eternity for the food to arrive and when the food arrived the wrong dish arrived. It took 15 minutes for the food to be re-prepared. Service is incompetent.

Unfortunately an absolute disappointment! I had reserved a table especially for Valentine's Day, but when I arrived I still had to wait outside for half an hour - and we weren't the only ones. There were six other guests in front of me who also had to wait with reservations. The employee was also extremely unfriendly and not solution-oriented at all. No apology, no alternative - just a stroppy tone. This is not how you treat paying guests! It's a shame, because I was actually looking forward to a nice evening. But due to the poor service, I definitely won't be visiting again.

We were there several times because we always liked it very much. A friend was celebrating his birthday and we were sitting outside in the tent. The tables and chairs were so tightly spaced that it was not possible to get up to use the toilet, for example, without having to push someone away. You could also feel the waiter's elbow on the back of your head every now and then. The volume level was enormous and normal conversation was impossible. My meal, spaghetti with truffles and parmesan, was a very small portion not appropriate for the price. Unfortunately, the quantity of a starter platter for 60 euros was not appropriate for the price. Otherwise friendly service as always, but for now we won't be going there again. It's a shame but you should expect more from an upscale Italian restaurant.

The staff was very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately we sat outside even though we had made a reservation for inside. Despite the heaters, it was often uncomfortably cold. The hustle and bustle and the noise level were not suitable for having a good conversation. The truffle pasta was good, but not great. The sea bream in salt dough was very good.

Food is great and the staff is exactly as you would have in Italy. The only reason for 4 stars is that in winter people can sit in a covered area outside, however people can also smoke, which was not ideal. Would come again and sit inside 😊

As soon as we entered the restaurant we were warmly welcomed by waiter Patrick - it felt like meeting an old friend. His recommendation, the truffle pasta, was an absolute hit: fresh, aromatic and simply delicious! Patrick took the time to ask us about our first visit and said charmingly: "Then it certainly won't be the last time." After this excellent food and first-class service, we can only confirm that - we'll definitely be back! A big compliment to the entire team, especially Patrick, for an unforgettable evening. Simply WOW. So quick, tasty and generous, simply GREAT!

We visited Dolce Vita as a group of friends and were delighted with the varied offerings on the menu. We sat in the covered outdoor area, there were radiant heaters, but they were positioned in such a way that relatively little heat reached us due to the uneven heat distribution. The restaurant was very busy, so the service took longer. Our order included an antipasti platter, truffle pasta, two different pizzas and the pasta with venison ragù. Unfortunately there was an unbalanced use of salt in all dishes. The truffle pasta, which we were particularly looking forward to, was sparingly, if at all, tossed in the parmesan wheel (parmesan had to be added later). Nevertheless, it was charged in full. Unfortunately, the pizza was very salty and not really convincing either. The service was overwhelmed, which was certainly due to the full house, but it was still noticeable. A restaurant can't do anything for the guests, but it's still strange to ask the large dining room group whether it's ok to smoke iqos?! Jackets were not hung on a coat rack as usual, but rather left on the ground in a side tent. Overall, the visit was by no means catastrophic, but definitely not what we expect from a restaurant visit.

Very nice restaurant designed with a lot of love. The service is very, very attentive and the food is heavenly, a dream. From now on I'll be happy to come here more often to eat, the sole and the zabajones are incredible, really a culinary orgasm. The rose that the waiter gave me as a farewell gift on September 25, 2018 is still alive after more than 8 days, just like it was on the first day.

We made reservations at 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve. During the phone call I specifically asked whether the normal menu was also valid. We were told that there were a few fewer dishes and that the prices were minimal. When we arrived (15 minutes early) we were told straight away that we had to be patient (we made a reservation?) and that we had to wait half an hour. The treatment was inferior, but we were given prosecco. We waited 45 minutes until we got a table and also saw the menu. Dishes were €10 more expensive and drinks were four times more expensive. Is this what is meant by a minimal increase? We weren't served well, we weren't asked if everything was okay and we weren't paid any attention at all. It's a shame that the year had to end with such a visit. Definitely not recommended.

We had reserved a table for 9:00 p.m. and arrived at 8:45 p.m. Nevertheless, we had to wait a whole hour before we were finally allowed into the restaurant at 9:45 p.m. As soon as we arrived we were told that we would have to wait at least 30 minutes - why did we have to wait at all if we had reserved? During this waiting time we had to stay in the cold, which was very uncomfortable. We were offered a Prosecco as an apology, but it only arrived after more than 30 minutes. On the same day we asked by phone whether the menu was as usual and whether there were any price differences. We were told on the phone that there would only be a few fewer dishes and that the prices would be slightly increased. However, the reality on site was different: the menu was greatly reduced (only 4 starters and 4 main courses, no pizza) and the prices were significantly exorbitant. The cheapest dish, a pasta arrabbiata, cost €14.50, while most of the main courses were over €20. The service overall was disappointing. During the meal, no one asked if everything was OK or if we wanted anything else. It wasn't until the very end of the evening that we were asked whether it was tasty - but without much interest or effort. I wouldn't recommend it on New Year's Eve.

Here, excellent taste and the noticeable quality of the ingredients meet a special warmth. The team, led by the charming and always attentive boss, ensures that you feel completely at home with their hospitality and smile. Patrick and Alex are also absolutely top notch in service. A visit to a restaurant is like a little culinary trip to Italy - that's exactly how we felt at La Dolce Vita! As soon as we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the boss with a Prosecco - a perfect start. The service was excellent, especially the waiter who took care of our experience like a conductor. Without looking at the menu for long, we followed his recommendations, which turned out to be a real hit. From the drinks to the main courses to the desserts, everything was perfectly balanced and delicious. What was particularly impressive was the quality of the ingredients and the authentic preparation of the dishes - a real feast for the senses. Conclusion: La Dolce Vita is not just a restaurant, but an experience. The perfect combination of hospitality, excellent service and masterful cuisine. We'll definitely be back!

Food outstanding, service a complete disaster… After we sat down and already had the card, we were supposed to get up again and sit outside. The comment about taking the napkins with us was cheeky. After we were allowed to sit down and order, we were almost ignored because the tables around us probably brought more money. Service was anything but friendly when he was at the table and used the adjacent table as a shelf for plates that had already been used. The ambience was so disturbed by the service that we didn't order dessert. The kitchen does a good job, that shouldn't go unmentioned. Probably the best Italian restaurant in Frankfurt. Went on a hot summer day to their small garden for a birthday dinner of a friend, we did a reservation since we were six. The staff was kind, speaks a lot of different languages and did a lot of good suggestions (good sellers, that you don’t feel like they are selling). As a starter we had the fresh bread (super nice and seemed homemade) with olive oil and a tomato bruschetta. The risottos and pizzas were also good, and the pizza for price quality can be a pretty good choice. I chose the pasta with truffle, and guess what, it was divine, one of the best Italian dishes I have ever tried. The Aperol Spritz and Limoncello were good I enjoyed the Tiramisu and felt like it was a good portion to be shared.

I debated for a long time whether I should even write a review, but even after four months this visit still doesn't let me go. In August I went to this restaurant with my best friend and two other guests to celebrate her birthday. Unfortunately, this evening in no way offered what one would hope for from a visit to a restaurant. The stress began as soon as I entered the restaurant. We hadn't sat down for a minute before the cards were already handed to us. It seemed very rushed. A changing staff appeared at our table every five minutes to ask if we would like anything. You immediately felt pushed. That wasn't attentive service, it was just pushy. The next low point: our food order. The fact that we didn't want an appetizer seemed like an affront. We were pierced with stares. To be honest, it was a hot summer day, we didn't want to overeat, but rather enjoy a main course and maybe dessert. That's not a crime! The fact that one expects a restaurant to accept the wishes of its guests did not seem to be the case here. My friend's truffle pasta was the next topic. She ordered them without parmesan, which is her personal preference. I also decided against the cheese - simply because I didn't feel like it in the heat. But our request seemed to be interpreted as a cost-cutting measure. The waiter who took the order made this more than clear through his facial expressions. We had alcohol, a large bottle of water, anything but a “cheap” order – and yet we were treated like stingy students. The absolute low point, however, was the pepper thing. When serving, a waiter asked if we would like fresh pepper. Two of us said yes, one friend declined - simply because she doesn't like pepper. Instead of accepting this without comment, the waiter said in a sarcastic tone: “But it’s also free.” Please what?! This sentence is a disgrace. As if we were shying away from a free pepper! We are working women with our own income, not scroungers who have to be happy about “free”. It wasn't until we ordered dessert - obviously a signal that we were willing to spend more money - that the service relaxed slightly. But the impression had long been ruined by this point. We felt unwelcome, patronized and treated pettily. After dessert, we left the restaurant as quickly as possible.

Wir reservierten per Telefon für 20,30 für 2 Personen, nachdem wir Pünktlich eintrafen wurden wir recht unfreundlich und arrogant vor die Tür verwiesen und hingewiesen, dass wir zu warten hätten „alle hier draußen hätten reserviert“ so die Aussage Wartezeit unbestimmt ! Ca. 20 wartende Gäste ! Wahnsinn so etwas noch nie erlebt Natürlich gingen wir ! Nie wieder, das ist nicht gastfreundlich, sehr enttäuschend schade ! Da nutzt auch das seinerzeit gute Essen nicht

I ordered the truffle pasta to pick up yesterday. Despite the fact that I ordered it, it was very tasty, you received 2 small jars. There was parmesan in one and fresh truffle in the other. Everything together is super delicious! The service was super nice.

We went here for dinner last night and had a great evening! The food was very tasty, the service was attentive. There was a greeting from the kitchen, fluffy bread, grappa on the house and a rose to say goodbye 🌹I haven't experienced that in a restaurant for a long time and it should be appreciated accordingly. You'll be happy to come back! By the way, you can also sit comfortably on the terrace in autumn (heat lamps).

Ordered a pizza online for pickup. Estimated time was 8-10 minutes, it took 1 hour and the pizza was cold when the restaurant handed it over. And didn't really taste that good.

The food was really delicious, but unfortunately the service was disappointing. We made a reservation at 8 p.m. and after only 50 minutes the waiter asked us to vacate the table because there were two guests waiting outside. We were told that we were only allowed to continue drinking outside, it was not allowed inside. It was a shame to have to end the evening so abruptly - a little more hospitality and flexibility would have made the visit much more pleasant!

Went to the restaurant with the family for the first time today. Very attentive service from the start. Patrick's recommendations have consistently proven to be a hit. Patrick accompanied us throughout the long evening, laughed with us and toasted with us at the end. Leg of lamb, sea bream in a salt coating and pasta in truffle/parmesan. Everything came together perfectly at the same time.

My husband and I went to La Dolce Vita for the first time yesterday. The reception alone was great and the relaxed and courteous manner of the staff was a very nice change.
