Gastronomie Da Claudio in Frankfurt am Main

Food tasted very good and authentic. I had truffle pasta, it was very tasty. They serve a generous portion. Pasta is self made, it tasted fresh. I would highly recommend them.

Coming for the Christmas decoration show, we took a hotel near the Messe and for the evening, twice, we went to this restaurant. The boss was super welcoming and we ate well. His lasagna is great, as well as his tiramisu, thanks to Claudio for his sympathy and his smile. Thanks to the server for his kindness as well. If we come back to the corner, we'll pass by this table again.

Rarely have I spent so much money on such bad food. Invited to the 91-year-old father's celebration, we were seated across the corner even though there were better options in the restaurant. The reservation was known for a long time. 3 pre-ordered plates of antipasti for 13 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 small children were served very clearly with vegetables that had been in the fridge for an estimated 3 days, as well as 2 handfuls of sour-spiced crabs per plate. Surprisingly, there was no pizza that day, and there weren't enough shrimps on the menu either. Sticky, tasteless pasta, lukewarm veal paillard, which consisted of 2 small schnitzels, but there were also a few good-tasting dishes. In total, the 91-year-old father paid €880 for below-average food - without a receipt. Just because he didn't want a fight, the family members refrained from explaining and correcting him. We had to ask for a schnapps on the house. The innkeeper should be ashamed. By the way, the wine was good.

The first impression is difficult to describe. The restaurant is accessed via a large car park where there is also a sports club. The welcome from the owner and the waiters was nice but the restaurant was not heated, there was just a heater around the corner next to the counter. There were 13 of us adults and 2 children under 3 years old. We were given 2 pre-prepared antipasti platters, which were unfortunately partly very over-seasoned and cold. On the platters were slices of pepper (grilled), grilled fennel, grilled mushrooms, grilled zucchini, over-seasoned and grilled tomatoes, and 2 different types of canned shrimp. It all sounds good at first, but it was more show than substance. The main courses (only pasta and meat dishes, priced between €15-35). Unfortunately there was no pizza that day (Sunday), which was a shame for the children. There was no explanation for this either. We couldn't understand it. I compared the prices on the internet with the prices on the menu and I am convinced that we were given a menu with higher prices. In my opinion (pure rip-off). When the main courses gradually arrived, there were good dishes such as ravioli with butter and sage, gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce, but unfortunately tagilatelle with sciampi, for example, which were only tiny prawns and tasted like pasta in a spiced broth. A real shame. We were served by 2 waiters who tried hard at first, but one of them unfortunately couldn't speak German and hardly understood what we wanted to order. When we wanted to order more white wine, he didn't know which one we had had before, so one of us had to go to the fridge with him to show him the bottle.!!! That's not acceptable in a restaurant that is supposedly well rated. We arrived at 12:00 and at 14:00 we were told that we should order something quickly because the kitchen closes between 14:30 and 17:30. So with a bill of €880 that we were later presented with, that was an absolute NO-GO. We also ordered coffee and desserts like panna cotta and tiramisu. The panna cotta was a bit bigger than an egg (size L) and the tiramisu was completely dry. With the coffee we asked if they might have a biscuit or those little Italian amaretti! The boss came with a metal tin with homemade biscuits and said he could only give us a few because he had other guests that evening??? What were we then???? So as not to spoil our family mood, we didn't say anything else at this point because the waiters were just waiting for us to finally leave. Normally you at least get a grappa or limoncello with the house amount, but we had to actively ask for it. The bill came handwritten on a piece of paper and was difficult to understand, the amount as mentioned was €880.00, "we were shocked". But since we were celebrating Grandpa's 91st birthday and he was embarrassed to complain about it, he paid the bill without saying a word. Conclusion: we do NOT recommend this restaurant, too expensive for the food and service. We also had a flyer with the menu beforehand when we reserved this location and the prices printed there were up to €5-7 cheaper than they were when we got there. RIP-OFF TO THE MAX.

Versteckte, echt italienische Küche am Rande Frankfurts. Das das Restaurant nicht an einer belebten Frankfurt Stadtstraße liegt, sondern eher abseits im Grünen, bringt nochmal mehr Charme und lässt einen das Essen bei Sonnenschein im überschaubaren Garten genießen. Die nicht überlade Karte weißt alle italienischen Klassiker auf - wobei der größte Klassiker der Chef persönlich ist. Sich in den Abendstunden zu seinen Gästen an den Tisch zu setzten und la Dolce Vita zu leben, ist seine Passion. Würde der Nachbartisch italienisch anstatt hessisch babbeln, würde man denken man sei in Italien. Das Essen ist frisch und mit einer besonderen Liebe zu Pfeffer zubereitet. Insbesondere Nudeln sind im Restaurant sehr zu empfehlen! Buon appetito!

Came with a dog, there was plenty of space. The waiter assigned us a table on the terrace, but then the owner came and lied to our faces that they were fully booked. Outrageous.

The food is fantastic! The service was quick, but not particularly friendly. I can highly recommend the homemade pasta and tiramisu :)

The map is sorted but manageable. Service very friendly and attentive. Food good to ok depending on taste. Unfortunately my meal was wasted. The soup was overpriced and very plain. The pizza tasted good. But I don't think it's open to wood. The dough products are good. Dessert selection very good. Priced off. Nice little ristorante atmosphere.

If you want good authentic food, a nice atmosphere and not the typical Italian uniformity, then Mimo and his team are the right place for you. Great food, unusual specialties and great wine. I haven't seen a menu for years, but I rely on the recommendation, and without paying too much in the end. Great for 2 but also no problem for 10 people. Keep it up.

Class. The best noodles in FFM. Homemade. Nice service and boss. Original and delicious. The dessert was also great.

Ambiance familiale mais avec beaucoup de discrétion. Les produits sont choisis avec un soin très particulier. La viande est excellente, le foie de veau également. Les pizzas aussi sont très bonnes, la pâte n'est pas trop épaisse et les garnitures sont généreuses.

This is one of the best Italian restaurants anywhere. Claudio is not only a master chef but he is a charming host. This is a must on any trip to Frankfurt. I can't wait to return. Update February 2024 - I finally returned after 4 years. While Claudio has retired and the location has changed, the food is still excellent. Molto delizioso!

Six of us came here for pizza and we were all happy with the pizza. The mixed salad we ordered in advance also tasted good. The service was very friendly. The food in the restaurant also worked for our friend, who is in a wheelchair, but the toilet is not wheelchair accessible. If the outdoor area can be used in summer, it would certainly be even nicer, but the air in the restaurant was very stale. We'll definitely go again in the summer.

Maybe we just had a bad day. The spagetti carbonara was way too peppery. The homemade pasta was too floury and the pizza was also wrong. I was completely satisfied on my previous visit, so maybe just a blip.

Were there today with 15 people, including 5 small children. Here children can still be children. The food was very tasty. Not this standard Italian, but really good food. We had a lovely family celebration with good food and a very nice host. Thank you

We had a Sardinian specialty. Very good, good value for money. Service very friendly. There were dishes on the menu that you don't get at every Italian restaurant. We look forward to the next visit.

The Italian restaurant “Da Claudio” is already a well-known classic in Frankfurt. There is a really good atmosphere here and you can experience Italian warmth and hospitality at its best. The platter with “mixed fresh vegetable and fish starters” and the “Vitello Tonnato” were well received right from the start. The “salmon mascarpone” cream was also very decent. The skin courses "grilled pork belly", "strozzapreti with tomato meat sauce", "risotto with mushrooms" and the "veal goulash with potatoes" were all extremely good. The mighty “chocolate nut cake” at the end was once again an absolute exclamation mark.

The food was very tasty. The spirit of Signore da Claudio still blows here and his recipes can be purchased here in the form of a book

I was there today with my company (UKH) for Christmas dinner. Very nice. Before the main course - the Venetian veal liver - was very tender and fine - there was a plate of antipasti, the prawns and prawns were my favorites. Afterwards, dessert with, among other things, tiramisu and chocolate cake. Plus red wine and finally a grappa. Service was very nice and otherwise - everything was 1.a. Was there in the summer too. Always my pleasure.

Very nice restaurant. You wouldn’t say it from the outside, but once you enter it is fantastic. You get a warm welcome, the people are very friendly. The food is fantastic. We went with a group and we hadn’t to chose the guy told us. He knew what we wanted and he calm with fabulous dishes, from starter till dessert. I highly recommend this restaurant. When I’m in Frankfurt, I will go back.

Das Restaurant befindet sich am Sportplatz und erscheint von außen ganz durchschnittlich. Im Inneren sieht es sehr familiär gemütlich aus. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und schnell. Die bestellten Fischplatte und Wein waren harmonisch ausgezeichnet. Es war ein kulinarisches Erlebnis, welches definitiv einer Wiederholung bedarf.

Vrlo ugodno mjesto. Iznenađeni smo ugodno jer dočekuju materinjim jezikom,talijanski. Prefina hrana, autentična,domaća izrada kako piše u jelovniku. Preporučamo.

Seit Jahrzehnten immer wieder ein Erlebnis für den Gourmet, und dass an nun mehr drei verschieden Locations. Claudio hat sich hier ein inmerwährendes kulinarisches Denkmal gesetzt: traditionelle italienische Küche auf höchstem Niveau modern inszeniert. Und zu einem super Preis-Leistungsverhöltnis. Mitten in Frankfurt! Man sollte es nur leise weiter empfehlen, sonst bekommt man auch mit Reservierung schwer eine Platz...so gut ist es ! Sehr gute Parkmöglichkeiten.

Hier fühlt man sich wie in Italien. 🇮🇹 Von der Küche bis zur Bedienung ist alles original italienisch. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und an unseren Tisch begleitet. Das Essen war ein Gedicht. Geschmacklich war der Fisch einfach perfekt. Genau auf den Punkt und die Soße war überragend. Knoblauch, Salbei, Butter und ein Hauch Zitrone. Top! Man interessiert sich für die Gäste. Der Service ist sehr auf Zack. Warum nun der eine Stern Abzug? Man hat es hier, wie auch in anderen Rezessionen beschrieben, nicht so mit der Preisauszeichnung. Auf die Frage ob wir eine Weinkarte bekommen könnten, bekamen wir die Antwort „Wozu brauchen Sie eine Karte, ich kann ihnen genau sagen welche Weine wir anbieten.“ (Zwar mit einem Lächeln, man sollte den Wunsch des Gastes aber trotzdem folge leisten.) Ein guter Verkäufer war unser Kellner auf jeden Fall. Man sollte aber das Verkaufstalent etwas dosierter anwenden. Ich kaufe die Katze echt ungern im Sack. Die Portion war uns beiden etwas zu klein. Qualität hin oder her, ein paar Kartöffelchen und ein Stückchen Fisch mehr wären perfekt. Zwei gemischte Fischteller (siehe Foto) kosten derzeit 58€. Auf der Karte heißt es „Gemischter Fisch für 2 Personen“. Wir beide waren der Meinung, das eine Art Platte serviert wird von der man sich bedient, es waren jedoch zwei identische Teller. Kommen wir wieder? Ich denke ja. Der Nachbartisch hatte Pasta mit Trüffeln bestellt, die bis zu uns rüber geduftet habe. Die wollen wir auf jeden Fall beim nächsten Besuch testen. Für einen schönen Abend zu zweit ist das Lokal, trotz Lage und Ambiente zu empfehlen.

Invitato da amici è stata una splendida scoperta. Ristorante veramente italiano con prodotti di qualità e pasta fresca. Per chi ha nostalgia della cucina italiana, è assolutamente da provare.

Auf einem Sportplatz Gelände. Keine großen Erwartungen gehabt und sie wurden übertroffen. Wir waren zu dritt das Erste Mal mit Tochter/Stieftochter dort. Super freundlich empfangen worden. Sehr familiär. Den Wein hat man mich erst probieren lassen. Sehr leckeres Essen. Immer wieder !

Obwohl wir schon lange in Rödelheim wohnen, waren wir hier das erste Mal essen. Das Lokal sieht sehr gemütlich aus und die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Wir haben lange nicht mehr so eine leckere Pizza gegessen (und wir essen oft Pizza). Ich kann dieses Lokal sehr empfehlen.

Da Claudio ist seit Jahrzehnten eine feste Insititution in der Stadt. Auch unter neuer Leitung wird die gewohnt hohe Qulität ohne den zeitgeistigen Chi-Chi geboten. Absolute Empfehlung.
