La Commedia Pizzeria Restaurant in Nürnberg

The best pizzeria I know. And gluten-free, too. Perfect.

Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. I expected a lot more from the place, but the pizza was just mediocre - the taste was rather average and far from what you would imagine a really good pizza to be. The service also left a lot to be desired. The waiters were inattentive and despite a long wait of over 70 minutes there was no communication or apology. We were not informed of the delay nor was there any attempt to explain the wait in any way. In a restaurant that was only moderately busy at the time, it seemed as if little value was placed on the satisfaction of the guests. In the end we just had the pizzas packed up to take away and left the restaurant. Overall, it's a shame, as there clearly would have been more potential here.

I've been there several times, but this was the second time I've waited over an hour for pizza. Even with family. When asked about the service, the answer was a cheeky smile and supposedly too many guests. The bad pizza didn't come completely and the edges of 3 pieces were completely burnt off. Afterwards I was made aware of it again when cashing out, but no insight was given. As a long-time guest, this was the last time as I am no stranger to them. Unfortunately not acceptable

Waited 75 (!) minutes for two mediocre pizzas. On a moderately busy Sunday evening at 8:30 p.m. No hint, no explanation and in the end not even a word of apology when we had the pizza packed up straight away because we didn't have any more time. I have no idea how you can treat your customers like that, but we're no longer one of them.

It can happen that something goes wrong in the restaurant - but our food was completely forgotten and only noticed after over an hour when we asked ourselves. There was an apology, but unfortunately no accommodation - we had to leave without food and still pay for water and coke. Given the prices, I would have expected more service. Very unfortunate.

Best place for pizzas if you are near by south Nürnberg. Visited with family and tried vegetarian pizza and was awesome. Staff was really great and helpful. Pizzas was really fresh and yummy. Sauce with garlic and chilly was great

Even without a reservation, a table was conjured up. So we were able to end our Nuremberg excursion with a delicious dinner. The food was excellent, the pizza was world class. Thanks

The four of us got a table here at short notice in the afternoon and were given a really warm welcome. The pizza here is really big and tastes excellent. The prices are reasonable. The only (small) point of criticism is that not everything on the menu can be ordered at around 4:45 p.m.; in my case a pasta dish. It's only available in the evening, but the selection is more than sufficient. I would eat here again.

Food is very good, the lasagne really deserves 5 stars. However, the service towards reservations is a disgrace. We called and asked if it was possible to make a reservation, we were told no, come spontaneously. When we were there, we said you had a reservation, we explained that there wasn't one, and we were told to wait 30 minutes. impudence.

I have been going to Ristorante Pizzeria La Commedia in Nuremberg for 30 years, and I can confidently say that it represents the excellence of Italian cuisine in the city. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant because orders were forgotten even when it was quiet. The kitchen only had garlic as a "seasoning," but spices like oregano or salt and pepper were missing. The price is unjustified. Furthermore, I don't find the mussels in garlic onion soup very tasty. I should have just sent them back after an hour and a half. Overall, I hope this was an oversight. If not, they should rethink the concept.

Fantastico! It doesn't get any more Italian! The best wood-fired pizza in town. Not a promise, but fulfillment! Tip: The homemade limoncello. You can't get anything better in Italy.

My favorite Italian for 30 years. There is something for everyone in the menu. Delicious pizzas and also upscale Italian cuisine. Prices are reasonable.

I looked for the best Italian restaurant in our area and found it here. This place is always packed for a reason. Great staff, great atmosphere, great food. These guys were cranking out 3 delicious pizzas every 10 minutes. Be sure to make a reservation, because this place is top shelf. And just when we thought it couldn't get better, we received a cappuccino with the most intricate scene on top, a bird amongst plants. Book your delicious Italian dinner ASAP.

I ate a simple Margherita, last year and this year.. it simply has no taste at all and instead of garlic there is garlic oil on it that also tastes like nothing. I'm really disappointed that the store is so hyped.

I can only recommend it to anyone who likes pizza or pasta. Simply delicious, happy to be top again!!

My former employer. 😁 If you like traditional Italian wood-fired pizza, you're in good hands at Holzgartenstrasse 4, in the southern part of Nuremberg. Very tasty food, good to exceptionally good ambience and very well-rehearsed and well-known staff. Please reserve in good time as it is a very well-known restaurant and there is a lot of customer traffic. Especially on the weekends it's hard to get something without a reservation. And if so, then with waiting times. But, it's definitely worth it! 🇮🇹 😉✌️ 🇮🇹

Simple but traditional Italian restaurant with very attentive and friendly staff. The food was great, you can also see directly from the square how the pizzas are prepared in the wood oven. The price is also completely ok. Can only be recommended!

The food is super delicious. Best pizza in Nuremberg in my opinion. The pasta was also delicious. Unfortunately we had to wait a whole hour for our food, so we could only eat half of it and then had to go to an evening event. Usually you have eaten and paid in a restaurant after just an hour. The waiter still tried hard. A small apology pannacotta to go would have been a consolation. It was also quite crowded and loud, like probably every weekend evening. The people who pick up food are also a bit in the way.

Overrated pizza, if you order spicy pizza you expect pizza with spicy salami and not a Salami pizza with spicy and they make you pay an extra € for the spicy, in any pizzeria the spicy is not paid, oh well then the taste of the half raw pizza and the flavor of salami, better not to talk about it

We've been there a lot now (and at a distance of around 30km, I think that speaks for itself). My wife and I love pizza and we are in the best hands at Pizzeria La Commedia! Also a very nice restaurant and very nice service. You should definitely make a reservation on the weekend as the restaurant is usually very busy!

Pleasant atmosphere (of course the restaurant can't accommodate noisy guests), very nice staff, not a long waiting time - the table was reserved in advance. Pizza was very good. Beef steak itself is very good, vegetables as a side dish are not crispy but overcooked, maybe just frozen vegetables? Filling of the ravioli quite firm, truffles not really visible or tasteable over truffles - agnolini/ravioli - truffles not shaved over them. Dessert choice only tiramisu or panna cotta. Too bad. If so, then just pick up pizza...

Good food, nice service. No need to say more. Except: Finding a parking space is difficult because of the limited space and few parking options. Area around the restaurant is a bit dingy.

We arrived 40 minutes before closing time but were not allowed to eat in the restaurant. Instead we had to take the pizza away, which was disappointing in itself. Unfortunately, this was also reflected in the quality of the pizza. It seemed to have been prepared in a hurry, the cheese was still solid and overall the dish was far from what you would expect from a good Italian pizza. Absolutely not justified for the price. It's a shame, because you primarily expect quality and authentic taste from a pizzeria - both of which were unfortunately missing here.

For me, by far the best pizza in Nuremberg! For me, also a very good price-performance ratio. Large pizzas with fresh ingredients. The reviews with alleged “canned vegetables” and raw dough are absolute nonsense. You can watch them make pizza and they definitely use fresh vegetables! And if you think the dough is h., you just have to open your mouth... sorry. The service was always super friendly and attentive. 5* keep it up!!!!

I went on a Sunday evening at 8pm to eat pizza..And I was very disappointed with this place. The waiter arrives and I order the pizzas...The pizza arrives and I ask him for extra garlic and spicy pepper and he brings it to me..In the end I ask him to pay and I read on the receipt that he charged me €1.50 for garlic..Then I order an Espresso, and he charges me €3.00 for a coffee, it was written on the receipt anyway something Crazy I have been to many Italian places in Germany no one told me charged for extra garlic and spicy for the Pizza Shame Shame ..The thing that made me the most sensation when I get home in the evening I check. The receipt is, I call the restaurant on the phone, a Kavoratore answers and I ask for the Scef if he was there, I wanted to tell him what had happened and the waiter replies, the splinter isn't there and above..For this reason I will no longer come to you to eat in your place and I will advertise what happened.

We ended up here because of the gluten-free menu. You can eat pizza and pasta gluten-free here. The pizza appears to have a peel base as it was smaller than the other pizzas. But my daughter liked it. The other pizza was also very tasty and also very large. Might be important to know if you're ordering as a family. 3 pizzas for 4 people were completely enough for us. You can sit outside here nicely.

I went to the restaurant and sat for half an hour waiting for the menu to arrive. It's extremely bad and disgusting that they are so indifferent and indifferent.

If you like pizza, this is the place for you. Real stone oven, well-topped pizzas with delicious ingredients and large sizes. The service was friendly, the waiting time was reasonable (the restaurant was busy on a Sunday evening). Prices are okay for Nuremberg. You get plenty of food, so the price-performance ratio is good at just under 40 euros for two pizzas and two small soft drinks. Definitely recommended, if only because of the authentic, good-humored owner, who runs the restaurant with Italian warmth!

Yesterday I got pizza for the 2nd time. The pizzas for 5 people were perfect. The service employees all said hello to me. After I paid, one of the employees asked me if I needed help carrying it to the car. I can't understand the many negative reviews, I think the guest shouldn't expect the waiter to come down on his knees. First be friendly, say please and thank you, and then you can expect the waiter to be friendly too. Now a quick word for the boss: please change the prices on the Internet immediately so that I only pay what is on the menu.

Sat down, card was placed on the table. not a nice word etc. Then it was time to wait. Wait. Wait. No drinks intake. After about 15 minutes, the table next door filled with a family. This was well known to the local. Drinks AND food were quickly picked up by the waiter. Hoping that he would come to us straight away, we waited until we could finally order. Puppy cake. The waiter then ran away again and we were ignored. That was reason enough for us to go. At the front of the entrance when we expressed our anger to the main waiter, he simply said “sorry” several times. That's it for the comedy there. Only pick up if at all 🎭

I can relate to the many negative reviews. the subpar, poor service in this restaurant. Went here spontaneously for dinner when the restaurant was relatively empty. But then it filled up quickly. The pizza was delicious, as you would expect from an Italian restaurant. Unfortunately at my La Commedia the canned vegetables made the pizza completely soggy in the middle. Still, it tasted good. But now to the service. We like to eat out a lot in restaurants, but we have never experienced anything as mushy and unfriendly as here. The young busboys are all a bit awkward, but friendly. But Antonio was very unpleasant, obviously something like the head waiter. No hello, here you go, thank you, do you like it, were you satisfied, is everything okay. Instead, the cards are slammed on the table without a word and a tip is expected in return... and if that doesn't happen with such behavior, they don't even say goodbye or wish you a nice evening. The fact that the young busboys are apparently being trained by him doesn't bode well. We would therefore not recommend this restaurant. At most, pick up pizza, which is what a majority of customers here seem to do. Maybe the boss will read through the negative reviews and take a closer look at the service from the guest's perspective.

Pizza was good 👍 very tasty 😋 but unfortunately the rest didn't fit at all and was an absolute disgrace. I have no idea where the great reviews come from. You sit down at the table, are seen and ignored for 10 minutes. Then a waiter comes and puts down cutlery. No hello or good evening or anything like that. Afterwards the head waiter Antonio came and asked us what we wanted to drink. Again no greeting. Okay, ordered and waited. Drinking came from the waiter from the first and then food intake from Antonio. Unfortunately again no polite word like thank you, please etc. No, you put the cards on the table and he was gone. Apparently the restaurant or pizza ordering service is doing so well that you are simply treated as a guest on site. Even when I asked about the bill, it took a while and Antonio had to do it again. He put the bill on the table. Bar or card and you're done. Of course there was no tip. For what? Of course he didn't think it was great either and who would have thought. Instead of asking if everything was okay - oh, no one asked. The receipt came from the card payment and he ran away. But I politely called out that it was good and thanked him. But no reaction. Conclusion: Expensive restaurant with no service and more pickup than on-site guests. Thanks for nothing and greetings to waiter Antonio, who only said “Ola” or something similar.
