Very nice atmosphere, but small and expensive portions

Very tasty French specialties in a really cozy environment

The name of the establishment refers to the Breton Bigoudène, a traditional headgear worn in the Bigoudenland region in southwest Brittany. Excellent crispy buckwheat galettes. However, sharper knives would make consumption much easier.

Lovely and cosey place. We ordered crepes. One salty and two sweet. They were amazing. Loved the way the different tastes and aromas blended together. I would absolutely recommend this place

It's not cheap, but it's a great culinary delight! Buttery, salty, soft, crunchy. Both the galettes and the crepes were excellent.

I recently returned to this restaurant after many years, and I was quite disappointed. The galettes, while priced at a premium, were just average. The flavors were bland, and the portions were small—definitely not filling. Additionally, charging €7 for a bottle of water is excessive. Branding yourself as authentically French shouldn’t justify such a steep markup. Overall, the experience did not live up to the high prices.

Very nice restaurant. Service very committed, with French/Berlin charm. Galette crispy and delicious. We had classic and goat cheese;walnut. Both very tasty. In the summer you can sit outside and it's also very nice inside. Be sure to try the cider.

A great restaurant: the decor is nice, the pancakes and crepes are excellent and the staff is great, very welcoming and smiling! I recommend the Forestière which is succulent! 😊

We sat immediately, the place was almost empty and the service was effective. The crepes were mushy, my suzette was soaked in liquor. The galette were also not great but the wine was really good.

Almost original - all that's missing are the really excellent apple juices that you can get in bottles in Brittany 🤷🏻‍♂️ But that doesn't seem to be possible in B. Otherwise: nice service, a bit sloppy at times, but consistently pleasant. Galettes consistently fine, good selection of ciders, fine Breton sausage. The coffee still has room for improvement - but the longing for the veritable Brittany should remain 😎 Fits - gladly again 🙏

Nice place with nice crepes. Took a bit of time and was okay in the end. The crepe is noticeably salty but not in a bad way, but it’s also not stuffed the chocolate just on top.

Great food with wonderful service in a nice atmosphere.

They seem to hate poor people and illegal immigrants. One of these "card only" places where the hosts think that they can make up their own rules. Pity because the food is pretty ok.

I have enjoyed spending one or two summer evenings here for many years. The food is really delicious. Unfortunately, today was my last visit here: “Card only” They refused to accept cash. But then they didn’t want Amex either. Really a shame and not worthy of this store. Goodbye La Bigoudene. It was nice with you, but I'm not going here.

We came for a stag do, the evening was unforgettable. The atmosphere, service and cuisine are great! The Savoyard crepe is fabulous, a beautiful regional alliance! We recommend without hesitation!

I arrived late, the welcome was nevertheless friendly, the chef came out to deliver my dish to the table with the little note that goes well. Thank you for this moment, the place is really great, I took advantage of the terrace, green salad and plate of sausage to start, crepe can to finish, I ate very well thank you 🙏🏻

French-oriented restaurant near Zionskirchplatz. Nice location. Limited space inside and outside. Gluten-free buckwheat-based galettes. Tasty, but quite expensive for small portions. Portion not filling if hungry. Although there is a relatively large selection, there is only one vegan option. The basic ingredient was missing today and there was initially little flexibility to offer an alternative, but in the end it worked. Service staff not very warm and not very attentive. Despite few guests, the staff seemed stressed and was more concerned with themselves than with the guests. The teapot and cup were not washed clean.

French pancakes from the French. They speak a mixture of French, English and German, which is very cute. British ciders and delicious coffee

So first of all - we “only” ate crêpes, and of course you won’t get full from them. The service was very friendly, French and alternatively English were spoken. The ambience is extremely nice. The crepes were very tasty, there also seems to be an emphasis on seasonal and, if possible, regional (honey from the Zion Church right opposite, for example) You could only pay by card. We had a very cozy and pleasant time in the bistro.

The food was amazing and the staff was so kind and polite. The atmosphere is cozy and beautiful. Definitely a gem! We will come back for sure.

Tasty but of course a bit small for a meal. You have to order two. Unfortunately our second order was forgotten, but we had to leave after a long wait. A pity.

I think the food is very tasty there and the atmosphere is cozy! One point is deducted for the thin staff (sometimes you wait a long time for your order to be taken and for new drinks or desserts to be asked), but the restaurant probably can't do anything about that in the current situation. Otherwise, unreservedly recommended!

Truly one of my favorite places to eat in Berlin, and I come often! It's consistently very good - with a cozy ambiance, delicious food, and reasonable prices for the quality. Had the one with blue cheese sauce, walnuts and ham on my last visit and it was superb! Highly recommended, and you'll have a nice experience here. Interesting selection of ciders too!

Das Essen war gut, wenn auch nicht herausragend. Der Service war wirklich toll - sie war ganz allein bei voll besetzten Tischen, hat uns sehr freundlich gebeten, ihr Bescheid zu geben, wenn wir etwas brauchen, was, wenn man es so nett kommuniziert, absolut in Ordnung ist, dass sie nicht ständig von sich aus zu uns kommt, wenn sie alleine ist. Das Einzige, was wirklich schade war, war das Ambiente - von der überdurchschnittlich herzlichen Gastfreundschaft abgesehen. Wirkt das kleine Restaurant von außen betrachtet total schnuckelig, ist es drinnen leider nicht so gemütlich. Das Licht ist ungemütlich, es läuft keine Hintergrundmusik, was den Raum etwas trist machte und die Möbelauswahl erscheint sehr lieblos und ungemütlich. Schade, denn der Raum mit seinen schönen Backstein-Wänden hat wahnsinnig viel Potential und ein wenig französische Hintergrund-Musik würde das ganze gleich viel freundlicher machen.

Wir hatten nur Crepe mit Caramel oder Honig Mandel...sehr gut. Einen bretonischen Kuchen gab es leider nicht. Trotzdem sehr lecker und super nette Bedienung.

Amazingly good food and friendly staff. Would have gotten more stars if it wasn't for the realy antisocial behaviour of not accepting cash and not even telling you customers about it in advance. Common guys we are in Berlin, how can you even come up with the idea of not accepting money as payment?

Amazing French Galettes & Crêpes Galettes are GLUTEN-FREE!

Ich war dort mit meiner Verwandtschaft und wir haben uns aus der großen Auswahl an herzhaften Galettes und süßen Crêpes etwas ausgesucht. Das essen war sehr lecker und schnell zubereitet. Ich hatte ein süßen Crêpes mit Bananen die vor meinen Augen flambiert wurden. Außerdem habe ich mir noch eine Karamellsauce dazu bestellt, der Extrawunsch war auch kein Problem. Auch die herzhaften Galettes haben den anderen geschmeckt. Die Bedienung war etwas in Stress, weil sich viele Leute angemeldet hatten. Weshalb sie ich mich nicht ganz willkommen gefühlt habe

I came on a Sunday for a quick meal before heading home at 16:50 with my girlfriend and my mom, and except for one or two tables, everything was empty. A guy playing on his phone, apparently annoyed that we stopped whatever he was doing, promptly asked if we had reservation and then told us to leave. We felt very unwelcomed. Luckily in the area there's no shortage of restaurants where getting a spot doesn't feel like a favor. What a pity. Maybe we were just unlucky, but the bad impression stayed.

An FYI: the kitchen closes in summer (at least, Thursdays) by 9:50, not 11 p.m.

Sehr nettes Personal, sehr schönes Ambiente. Die Galettes sind wirklich gut gemacht. Die Crêpes hingegen eher unterer Durchschnitt - geschmacklich etwas fad und sehr trocken. Weiterer Minuspunkt ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis: Alle Speisen und Getränke echt einen Ticken zu teuer für das Gebotene

So schlecht und langweiliges Essen. Die Crepes waren echt mittelmäßig und lieblos. Sie kommen mit nichts an der Seite und dafür auch unglaublich überteuert. 11,90€ für sehr kleine crepe quarte fromages!... Ich bräuchte drei davon um etwas satt zu sein. Dazu war die junge Französin unglaublich unfreundlich und unprofessionell. Es war fast leer und wir konnten lange Zeit nicht bestellen weil sie nicht da war. Dann auch die Rechnung nicht bekommen weil sie wieder beschäftigt war in endlosen Gesprächen mit dem "Koch". Vorsicht! Man kann nur mit Bargeld zahlen. 2021. Cash only!

Leider durften wir um 21:20 Uhr nicht mehr ins Restaurant, heute nicht mehr. Nur ärgerlich wenn als Öffnungszeiten 23 Uhr angegeben wird. Auch die Art dies zu kommunizieren war sehr unhöflich.

Loved the food here really! I was surprised with the pear and walnuts crepe, it was so good! The cheese board was great just not enough... lovely place just next to one of the most beautiful churches, make sure to book ahead though!

One of my favourite places in Berlin. Not so many people surprisingly visiting this place. Very cozy, food is something special there, pancakes coming from heaven straight to your plate. Definitely recommend.

Real french crêperie with french staff and french ambiance, the food is really good and the menu offers a wide range of creative versions of this traditional speciality. I must say I even prefer this restaurant to the ones I would go to when I was living in France, this is just more sophisticated - and made with love and attention to details. Great place with amazing view and polite service. We had some nice time dining there. Weizen Crêpes was something new for me. I took one with pear and blue cheese - very intense and interesting combination! Would love to try more there!

A very cozy place for an intimate evening, however, average food, I wouldn't pay 15 euro for a pancake again. Still, I recommend thr place for a romantic rendez-vous. And the service was super friendly!

Berlin is a busy place and traveling in a big city can be a bit stressful, even when one is on vacation. However, a visit to La Bigoudène will make everyone (even the kids) relax. La Bigoudène is a french style crêperie that offer a wide variety of home made crepes - they serve crepes with sweets and ice creams (deserts), and crepes with cheese and/or vegetables (for lunch and dinner). The staff at this crêperie are also very nice and friendly. We really felt at home in the cozy cellar. It’s also easy to park near the crêperie and the staff speaks english. A very nice experience - we will surely be back furling our next visit to Berlin 🙂

Felt really unsafe. The staff is super rude and seemed to be keen on letting everyone know that they did not want them there. Food was okay but the atmosphere is troubling.

Been here a couple of times and have so much admiration for the owners. Its often only 2 people working there & despite that, service is friendly, super fast & the food is gorgeous. The restaurant itself is very cosy, boasts a diverse menu & the deserts are as good as a the mains. Pro tip: try and book a table in advance, its super popular & often quite full.

Wir waren neulich Abend zu Dritt dort essen und haben irrtümlich eine falsche, zu hohe Rechnung bekommen und bezahlt. Auf meine Beschwerde hin hat sich der Inhaber persönlich entschuldigt und mir den Zuviel bezahlten Betrag zurück überwiesen. Das ist große Klasse und wirklich ein Lob wert. DANKE!

This is honestly the best salty crepes I have tried, even compared to France. The service could be a little more enthusiastic and friendlier. Overall a pleasant place with fair prices given the consistent quality.
