Food like in any Losteria, but incredibly loud inside. I think that made the waiter super stressed and not overly nice, but the service was still good.

If you want to eat good Italian dish, then don't come here. Food test is worst compared to local vendors.

Pizza was way too spicy (several people have already complained throughout the day as the oil seemed to have been made spicier than usual.) As an apology for an inedibly spicy pizza, there was a 10% discount on the next meal. (Ordinary coupons: only redeemable until 5 p.m. during the week) We hope that the team will get in touch again and invite us for a pizza.…

Takeaway with ordering at the restaurant always fast. We only did for pizza. Since the pasta we had when dining at the restaurant wasn't convincing. The pizza though is great. Love the fact that you can choose teo different topics per pizza( 1 each half)

Brunch in Italian... Ambience is ok - service at the table was very good, but the refilling of the individual plates and various things leaves a lot to be desired - the warm dishes are cold across the board. The lasagne only consists of pasta sheets and tomato sauce... the coffee sits on the warming plate for too long and becomes too bitter... Despite the compromises, price/performance is ok

It's a shame that such a delicious meal is so devalued by such poor service. Instead of an apology, you end up having to listen to insults.

We had dinner here to say goodbye to a colleague. I ordered some bread as soon as I ordered the drinks. The cellar said he would bring it straight away. After 10 minutes I didn't even ask, he said he would bring it now. After another 15 minutes I asked again. Here a colleague has already paid for the meal and the first drinks. It was around €500. Then the waiter comes and says we won't get any bread because there wasn't enough tip. I have never experienced such brazen impudence. Since the superior didn't respond to it either, something like this is probably tolerated. Strong image of this store. For me now again. I will also make this known to our company so that we don't leave any more money in this store. Hopefully the heads of the department or whatever is said about it will take a look at it. The waiter's behavior really tarnishes the store's image

I got my food after about 40 minutes, but other people who sat down in the restaurant after us got their food in 20 minutes. I find it so terrible and absolutely horrible that I had to wait so long. I'll eat here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone...

We were there with a large group and had reserved a table several weeks in advance. Unfortunately, we were given a table that was too small, and two people had to squeeze into the corners. The service seemed visibly overwhelmed. Some people didn't get their food until the first people had already finished. They didn't ask if anyone wanted anything else to drink, etc. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it. The food was okay.

Five of us came without a reservation and got a place without any problems. The food was very tasty and more than enough. Those are the good points. The only bad point is the service. After ordering we had to wait forever for our drinks, even when we ordered drinks again shortly before the end it took too long. One of us didn't even get a glass with the bottle of iced tea. The waitress couldn't even remember who had ordered which things, both when receiving the food and when paying at the end. Therefore, the food was very good but the service was poor.

Pizza was great, wine could be better, but a nice place for a meal together.

L’Osteria below, The Ash in a building above. Unfortunately, as usual with this chain, it's rather loud, but the pizza is very good and tasty. The price for a pizza is now in the upper segment. Nevertheless, we still enjoy going to L'Osteria every now and then.

I had dinner there with my daughter. We got a bad seat in the middle of the aisle, even though there were other tables available, and were ignored by the waitress.

We recently visited this restaurant and were served by Samanta. She was consistently friendly, attentive and professional. Our orders were taken quickly and the food came without long waiting times. What was particularly positive was her polite manner and her instinct for asking what we wanted at exactly the right moment without seeming intrusive. The pizza arugula was very good and not only visually appealing, the fresh ingredients were also very tasty. Overall, a very pleasant service that rounded off the dining experience positively. We'd love to come back!

The first branch in Cologne to open here, great store. One star deducted because the music is too loud, you have to scream to talk. Finally the music wasn't too loud. The menu could be even more varied. E.g. Salads with bread and cheese or sausage platter. Desserts are also possible. Zabaillone or the classic tiramisu always belongs on the menu. Kölsch 0.3 liter Euro 4.90 makes you want to just drink water :-)

Normally the food in L'Osteria is okay, but for this day (January 27th, 2025), unfortunately I can't judge it because we didn't receive any. We went to L'Osteria Hahnenstr. for lunch with our two children (6+3). Both children very hungry. There was no employee at the door and no presence in the shop, so we found a table ourselves. Later an employee came by and we greeted him, but he didn't pay any attention to us. A few minutes later he came to wipe our table but left before we could order anything. We waited a few more minutes and then asked if we could order something. The answer was aggressive and unfriendly: “You’ve just been sitting here for 5 minutes!” We had been in the restaurant serving other customers for at least 15 minutes at the time (it wasn't busy). So we decided to leave so that we wouldn't have to continue being treated so rudely. This person doesn't belong in the service, it was shocking, especially for our children. We won't be entering this restaurant again.

5 Stars – Perfect Italian Experience! L’Osteria on Hahnenstraße is simply great! The atmosphere is welcoming, the team is friendly and attentive, and the food – simply fantastic. The pizza is huge, super crispy and full of flavor. The pasta dishes also impress with their fresh ingredients and perfect preparation. The service is particularly noteworthy: despite the busy business, the employees are always friendly and professional. You really feel welcome here. Whether for a quick lunch, a relaxed dinner or a drink with friends – L’Osteria is always a good choice. I'll definitely be back!

We went to L'Osteria on Valentine's Day and had to wait up to an hour and a half for our food. We knew it would be very busy that day and we understood the longer wait. After about an hour we politely asked the waitress how long it would take. She assured us that the food would come “immediately.” After another twenty minutes had passed without anything being served, we asked another waitress about our order again. Meanwhile, the tables around us - including guests who had arrived after us - were served several times and people regularly asked if everything was OK. What was noticeable was that this attention was completely absent from us, even though we were served by the same waitress who also looked after the other guests. When we finally decided to pay for our drinks and leave, the waitress came to the table with the wrong food. However, after waiting for so long, we no longer wanted to accept this. At least we received bruschetta as compensation from the waitress who took care of our situation. In contrast, the other waitress responded with a smile and a “sorry,” which gave the impression that she had deliberately ignored us. We really had no problem waiting longer - especially on such a busy evening. However, we would have expected a certain level of friendliness and appreciation. Our experience was marred not by the waiting time, but by the inattentive and sometimes disrespectful behavior. It's a shame that such a special evening was negatively affected by such service. We hope that L’Osteria will work on this to ensure a pleasant experience for all guests in the future.

We waited over 2 hours for the food to come

It's Valentine's Day, I waited an hour and a half for my food. The tables around us came well after us and got their food before us. When I asked, I was told that the order bong had been lost and that it would probably be ready in 10 minutes. This wasn't the case and then, as a final insult, I was told that I would get a café on the house. Thirdly, money was taken from me for the full cola. After complaining, I got my money but lost it all day Thank you for throwing my day in the trash First and last time I went in there was just ridiculous

We were there today and absolutely disappointed. First of all, we stood in line for 20 minutes just to get in (even though we had a reservation!). When we finally sat at the table, we waited for 40 minutes without anyone coming to take drinks or food. After we spoke to someone, it took another 10 minutes until someone finally could. The waitress then told us that it would take over an hour to eat, so we decided to leave. Accordingly, we cannot judge the food. The ambience looks nice, but everything is very narrow and there is a very loud background noise. We definitely won't come back!

The waitress with the blonde braid and painted freckles made us wait an hour and a half only to bring the wrong food. All we got as an apology was a “sorry” with a provocative laugh, which was pretty cheeky for making us wait so long. The people who came after us were served earlier than us. We asked for food several times, but still had to wait so long. The only good thing was the waitress who gave us bruschetta on the house as compensation. I hope the bad experience was just because of the blonde waitress, as the other one was personable.

To be honest, I didn't have the feeling that I would recommend this Osteria - I've been to the branch in Hanover a few times. The service there was much more attentive and the food was a lot better. I prefer to eat a very specific dish, so I know what it might taste like... Here it was so damn spicy that my mouth burned for ages, I didn't like the beef at all, there was a lack of spice and the lasagne wasn't a hit here either.

Die Pizza hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt, allerdings wäre es schön gewesen, wenn alle zu derselben Zeit hätten essen können. Die Pizza unseres Sohnes wurde versehentlich beim Reservieren fallen gelassen (kann passieren). Leider kam der „Ersatz“ nach mehrfacher Nachfrage und sehr unfreundlichen Antworten erst 30 Minuten später. Service leider katastrophal!

Visiting time: January 19, 2025, 3:20-3:40 p.m We come in and wait 12 minutes for someone to tell us where we can sit down. In a bad mood, we went to a waiter (who, by the way, kept looking at us but didn't do anything) and asked where we could sit down. Instead of taking us to the table and asking what we would like to drink, we were told, sit where you want. We then waited another 9 minutes for a waiter to serve us/take our drink. Even after this time no one came and we got up. However, it should be said that another waitress preferred to play with her cell phone rather than serve us. When we got up, they suddenly said she wanted to come to us. We then left the store and will never come back because of the service. The staff was completely overwhelmed, 2 people for about 12 occupied tables, normally shouldn't be a problem, but one of them was busy rearranging the tables and just looking at us stupidly, the other waitress was, as already mentioned, busy playing on her cell phone.

Great restaurant, nice staff and huge pizzas. We ordered pasta and pizza and I thought it would hit me when we got the pizza brought to the table. This can feed at least 2 people or you can kindly have the leftover pizza packed up to take away. In addition to the “normal” menu, there is a small weekly menu that offers slightly modified and “unusual” dishes. We recommend taking a look at it! A great restaurant, highly recommended.

Very bad service!!! Starter was partly forgotten, We waited an hour for our food even though there were only a few people in the restaurant and in 1 1/2 hours we were only offered one drink. Then we wanted half of the pizza packed. Just a piece of paper was wrapped around the pizza. After asking if you don't have a pizza box: oh but would you rather have a box? Never again….

Food is tasty, plenty of it and freshly prepared, absolutely nothing to complain about and all praise goes to the chefs. Nice to be able to look into the open kitchen. Service very slow or with too few staff. Atmosphere rated low because the toilet was really dirty.

We were visiting Cologne and wanted to make sure we had a more or less "good" meal at an Italian restaurant chain we knew at 4 p.m. on a Sunday. A total disaster... and we're really patient... the first thing we noticed was that the music was too loud... then we ordered 2 Aperol Spritz, a salad and a pizza... the salad and the pizza appeared cold (the pizza) after 30 minutes....the Aperol not at all....not even when asked three times before and after the food was served....no apology, no explanation....nothing....we We actually wanted wine with the meal but we didn't get around to it... after 45 minutes Without drinks and entertainment, we left the restaurant without eating....no one even noticed that we were leaving.....Strongest recommendation to stay away

Never again L'Osteria! Today we ate here in Cologne and we have rarely experienced such bad service. We observed that our drinks were waiting at the counter for over 20 minutes until someone finally took pity on bringing them to us. The starter was delivered at the same time as the main course. The pizza we ordered was almost cold and the “icing on the cake” was that there were dishes on the bill that we didn’t even eat. Rarely have I seen such a poorly organized store.

Very good pasta and pizza! Pizza was huge, enough for two people (unless you are very hungry). Service was friendly but slow and we never got one cola that we ordered. It was Christmas eve so that could be a factor.

Samstag Abend während der Weihnachtszeit. Gegen 17:40 Uhr am Local angekommen. Leider bekamen wir die Info das alles belegt ist und Reservierungen noch offen stehen. Draußen war es kalt und am regnen. Der gut bekleidete, gepflegte und höflicher Herr am Empfang nahm meine Bitte, auf einen Tisch zu warten, entgegen und gab uns einen Tisch wo sogar der Kinderwaagen hineinpasste. Dort sollten wir warten bis die Reservierungszeit um war, damit wir bedient werden konnten. Dankend nahmen wir das Angebot an. Es war sehr voll und die Mitarbeiter verrichteten Ihre Tätigkeit auf Hochtouren. Kurze Zeit später konnten wir schon bedient werden. 20 Minuten später kamen die drei Gerichte. Obwohl es sehr voll war, kam das Essen schnell. Es hat sehr lecker geschmeckt und es war immer ein Mitarbeiter da der nachfragte, ob wir noch was haben möchten. Es war zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit :) Trotz des Hohen aufkommen an Gästen wurden wir herzlich aufgenommen und sehr gut bedient. Da gibt man auch gerne Trinkgeld. Wir bedanken uns an alle Mitarbeiter, die an dieser stressigen Weihnachtszeit auf Hochtouren mit einem Lächeln die Gäste beglücken. Danke für den schönen Abend.

Quite a nice L Osteria, but the food at lunchtime was a bit worse than usual. The pizzas seemed to have significantly worse toppings. The room was also a bit cool. But service was very friendly.
