Gagava in Köln

Disgusting, tastes like nothing and is overpriced!

I went to Gagava for the first time and ordered sweet chili chicken. You can choose between pasta, rice, and fries. I prefer rice, but I opted for pasta. The food was delicious, perfectly seasoned, and the sauce was fantastic. The server was very friendly and nice. I went back today and ordered lentil soup and spicy chicken with rice. The soup tasted exactly like lentil soup should; I loved it. The spicy chicken was incredibly tasty. You don't really notice the spiciness while eating; it develops gradually. The rice was also good. In my opinion, Gagava is definitely worth a visit.

Very small portion and the meat wasn't cooked through.

Gagava in Cologne is a definite recommendation. I love their chicken. I particularly like the Most Wanted and the Crispy Starter. The staff are very friendly, and they were also very nice and helpful on the phone, accommodating to my requests. This won't be my last visit. Keep up the good work :D

My wife and I ate there for the first time. The pasta and salad were good, but my chicken fillet wasn't cooked all the way through, and my wife's schnitzel was too salty. The next day, we both got diarrhea.

Pasta is ok but soup was terrible, not tasty. Waited the order 20min. Without normal special bread of this restaurant chain as I'm other countries.

I ate the spicy chicken with rice there today. The service was very friendly, although there were some problems with the change. The food came quickly, but I was very dissatisfied. It's clear that the salad was simply from a pre-packaged bag with a teaspoon of sweetcorn, a cherry tomato, and an olive. The rice wasn't fresh either, and I'm pretty sure it was also from a bag. I can't say much about the chicken, but in general, I find it very questionable to charge around €14 for this dish when at least 70% of it seems to come from a bag.

I was here for the first time today and the food was delicious. I'll be back soon.

Delicious chicken with noodles 🍜 rice and lots of salad. I am very disappointed with this restaurant. The service was unfriendly and slow. The food took far too long, and when it finally arrived, it was unfortunately cold. Overall, a very poor experience – I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I was truly impressed by the Gagava Restaurant in the Cologne Arcades! The atmosphere is cozy and modern, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family. The menu offers a diverse selection of delicious dishes, freshly prepared and flavorful. I particularly appreciated the friendly and courteous service – the staff is attentive and very helpful. Waiting times were pleasantly short, and the portions are generous. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fair for the quality you get. I can recommend Gagava to anyone who wants to enjoy a delicious meal in a pleasant atmosphere in the Cologne Arcades.

It doesn't need to happen again. Maybe increase the size of the drinks to at least 0.33 liters. Great service 👍

Terrible. Just bad. Food is expensive and tastes mediocre. Well, okay. But the woman who served (a young lady with a headscarf who initially seemed likeable) was very rude. Greeted us heartlessly when we ordered and didn't even look us in the eye. Later, when my plate was empty, she took it with her as she walked past. I didn't even ask, didn't even look at us again... especially since I wasn't finished with the plate yet because I still used the sauce for my fries. Extremely rude and absolutely unsympathetic. I wouldn't recommend it. You have to know.

The food was way too overpriced for what you got. The service was totally rude and simply snatched the food that hadn't been completely eaten from under our noses. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Very tasty concept known from Turkey. You can put together your own dishes. Everything very fresh and delicious. People love spending their money here. All in all, a very good experience and a clear recommendation from us!

As sad as it sounds, this is what our takeaway order looked like. I'm disappointed that the meat from the big box was simply put into the small box, that's a disgrace. I paid around €27 and there was more pasta than meat. Please dear employees, your food is good, but as long as you don't improve your service I won't come back. So little meat for such a price is very cheeky

The plates have always been delicious, but the price-performance ratio is really very poor. The plate originally cost 10.90 and now costs 13.90. 14 euros for some pasta, chicken and salad. There isn't even a drink included, because then it would be proportionate and fair. Grab and go is much better. You practically pay 7 euros more for the salad and the plate

I was in the Gagava restaurant for the first time today and was actually very positively surprised. The card reader didn't work, but the order was prepared quickly and tasted very good. In terms of price, the whole thing was okay at 13.90 euros for a menu with the option of being able to buy a drink for 1 euro more. I think it's a fair offer, even for the quality of the food. The ambience is also very nice. Everything is in very good condition. It was clean and all the ingredients such as dressing were still available on the tables.

I only give 3 stars for the ambience because the restaurant is located in a shopping center and is therefore a bit small, but otherwise quite ok. There is also no service because there is a beeper, but since my mozzarella sticks weren't ready yet, they were brought to my table. The food was delicious and very inexpensive. With the barbecue chicken you get 3 side dishes: pesto noodles, fries and salad; the meat was very tender. Unfortunately you can't see in the photo how much chicken was on the salad because I had already eaten half of it, but there was enough ;) My Colonia Schnitzel plate tasted great and it was a large portion. The sauce was charged extra.

The side dishes taste terrible! The noodles are not made with fresh herbs but with a ready-made seasoning, the cheap salad from the bag comes without dressing. It's a shame about the money.

The restaurant is situated inside the Kalk Arcaden shopping mall on the underground floor. The restaurant serves halal meat. We tried spicy tavuk (chicken) pasta, which was very delicious, juicy, and flavourful. They gave a lot of foods. The only drawback is that the salad comes without any salad dressing. You may need to add extra salt. The place was always busy. They take cash and EC cards both. The price is moderate, and the atmosphere is family-friendly. I recommend this restaurant for Turkish style pasta meal. They also serve beef and salad bowls.

It was good, but the food came cold.

I would like to give 0 stars. Dirty tables that you had to clean yourself, I wanted my breaded chicken to be a little spicy, but that wasn't possible. Service poor. No choice of sauce for the meat, also poor, but the big hit was the soggy fries, unfortunately there was no fries seasoning or normal salt here either - it was just fundamentally bad, just €15 thrown in the trash.

The food at Gagava on site is delicious and high quality. Unfortunately, we didn't have a good experience with the delivery service. The food, especially the meat, didn't taste nearly as good as it did on site. (It has nothing to do with hot/cold) It's a shame that the quality of the delivery service can't keep up.

I recently visited Gagava and would like to share my experience. First of all the service was very efficient; The order was taken quickly and the food arrived in no time. Unfortunately my main course was a disappointment. It seemed like it was literally stuck to the pan and had an incredibly strong, unpleasant sour taste that made the entire dish inedible. The pasta on my plate, however, was excellently prepared and tasted delicious. However, the salad left a lot to be desired and was a bit bland and carelessly prepared. Overall, my visit to the Gagava Restaurant was unfortunately not satisfactory. There is certainly room for improvement, particularly in the preparation of the main courses and the presentation of the side dishes. I hope future visits will be better.

The staff and atmosphere were good. But some pieces of meat were either burnt or undercooked. It might be good if the cook or cooks would turn the meat in the pan every now and then😁

For those who live in a different country in Europe and miss the tastes of Türkiye. Friends, there is no such taste. I preferred veal. I don't understand how they marinate the meat or sauce it. An incredible taste. Portions are incredibly large. I congratulate the employees in the kitchen. Even though their work is very tiring, they are very successful and very friendly. I wish they open a branch in Valencia👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Dry and burnt, long waiting time despite lunchtime without many customers

Food is freshly prepared to order, which is not always common for system restaurants. P/L and portion size for a common menu (12.50€ on average) is good. Unfortunately longer waiting times, probably also because of Ramadan. If you like chicken you will find many variations here.

Whenever I have to go to the arcade, I always try to eat here. The food is always freshly prepared, the chicken dish is juicy and I can highly recommend the version with sweet chilli. The salad comes unseasoned, but you can find the necessary ingredients on the tables to dress your salad yourself as desired. I also think it's good value for money. Since the space isn't that big, it can be a bit cramped or you have to wait for others to get up. Otherwise, I think the ambience is very good given the circumstances. The waiting time has always been okay so far. A restaurant chain in Turkey that we also love offers a similar concept. That's why I think it's great that there is a similar alternative here in Germany. And it’s even Halal!👍🏼 So all in all, highly recommended👌🏼

Went here for the 4th time, actually everything was ok and tasty but today I got food where the sauce was bad, it was the cream, I kindly informed the people in the kitchen who looked at me like a car, very unprofessional, I come from the catering industry myself and You usually apologize and give the guest something new. I was just told that they would do it as usual and I would never come back here
