This restaurant is highly recommended for anyone who appreciates authentic Italian cuisine. The location is cozy, and the family who runs it is very friendly and welcoming.

I wanted authentic Italian food, so I ordered two pizzas, which were delivered to my home by a very nice, young Italian lady. The delivery time was exactly as stated, and both pizzas were fantastic. I was extremely satisfied and can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant.

Super authentic Italian pizza! The woman who delivered the food was very nice. One look at the menu is enough to know it's real Italian cuisine. You've definitely gained a new customer.

A bottle of wine, which you can currently buy wholesale at Aldi for €3.99, was sold to us today for €38. When we asked about it, the price was immediately reduced by €9. I've completely lost trust today. We won't be coming back. It's a shame; this is how you ruin your own business.

This is my first time at this restaurant and in the city. I came here spontaneously, and oh my goodness! The chef's pizza was incredible! Very Italian! Perfect!

Great alternative around the Kaue (cafeteria) – delicious and authentic! If you're out and about in the Kaue area and looking for something other than pretzels or currywurst, this is the place for you! Just about 50 meters away, you'll find really good food – the pizza was wonderfully crispy and the antipasti wonderfully aromatic, with plenty of good olive oil. A real treat! The ambiance may not be inviting at first glance, but don't let that put you off – the food more than makes up for it. New seating would certainly do the whole thing some good, but that's just complaining at a high level. One small downside: Unfortunately, a full glass was knocked over during clearing, and the staff didn't really take care of it – neither a replacement nor cleaning, just a Zewa roll placed on the table. There's definitely room for improvement. Nevertheless: For anyone who appreciates good food and isn't fooled by appearances – a clear recommendation!

A small Italian restaurant with a wow factor—not your average pizzeria. This is especially noticeable in the taste. The pizza was incredibly good. The crust was perfect, and the combination of cheese, sauce, and toppings was absolutely fantastic. It's really very rare for a pizza to impress me so much. As for the pasta—it's also exactly how it should be. You immediately notice that this isn't a fast food joint, but an Italian restaurant.

Starter platter pizza and beef fillet were all super tasty. Price performance very good. A family business with heart. You immediately notice that everyone loves what they do. If you want to eat really authentic Italian, you've come to the right place.

Excellent Italian restaurant, highly recommended. The food is simply excellent and the prices reasonable. The restaurant manager, Mrs. Miriana, is truly friendly and kind, and, if I may add, beautiful. In short, it makes me want to eat there often.

Were there for the second time now and are simply thrilled. A real Italian with heart and fantastic cuisine. The owners are super friendly and we chatted for quite a while. We have chosen L' Antico Borgo as our favorite Italian restaurant.

They still exist. The treasures in the catering area... We came here for the first time because of an event in the Kaue based on recommendations and the good reviews. You are actually welcomed like a regular guest. Warm, open and you feel very welcome. We all had pizza, although the daily menu had quite a few delicacies to offer. The pizza was great and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

I expected a little more from the onion soup. It was sour and quite strong with some liquid. Too bad. :( Everything else was fine.

Since two of us still had to get cash, we waited to prepare the food until we got back. That's why: we'd love to come back. (The tiramisu was amazing!)

What a discovery! My first visit to this pizzeria definitely left a lasting impression. The pizzas here are simply incredible - perfectly baked dough and generous toppings. Although they specialize more in pizzas, their dedication and passion for every dish is unmistakable. The service was impeccable, despite my first visit I felt like a regular. The staff was friendly, helpful and even had recommendations for me. The atmosphere was inviting and cozy, perfect for a relaxed meal. Although I've only been here once, I'm sure I'll be back soon. This pizzeria definitely earned a place in my list of favorite restaurants. My child was also welcome and had a great pizza and a lot of understanding of being a customer. Perfect

Today I ordered food there for the first time. After waiting almost 2 hours, I called. Unfortunately all I heard was that my meal could be prepared in 30 minutes. Definitely, never again. I have never experienced anything like it. impudence.

Update March 2024: Now four of us have been there and in all of Gelsenkirchen it is the most authentic Italian cuisine I have experienced; high level, super tasty. And just an incredibly lovely family that rocks the place! 2022: There were three of us there: my son (3) had a delicious Margerita pizza, crispy and good. My wife and I shared Vitello Tonnato beforehand, with homemade super sauce, really tasty and a good portion for two. Tagliatelle al Salmone and Spaghetti Bolognese as classics were fresh and very well prepared. There was also a very good grappa and homemade desserts: tiramisu and panna cotta, very nicely presented and very tasty. Plus some drinks: 66 EUR is a more than fair price. The people were very friendly and in a good mood! Gladly again, a great alternative in the Feldmark!

Ambiance is a disaster. This restaurant has nothing to do with Italian food!!! Plastic parts in the food, cold food, prices are way too high for the food. There is no invoice there either. The owner's warmth and friendliness aren't right either. The restaurant (if you want to call it that) is a good example of the fact that not every Italian should open a restaurant!!! I would prefer to give 0 stars!!!

Best food ever. Everything tastes great, fresh and just like in Italy. The owner, very nice and therefore also the boss and the pizza maker. Just perfect. Tiramisù is incredibly tasty, and the pizza tastes just like in Italy. Spaghetti, gnocchi, lasagna, meat and fish. Are the highlights. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

Well, what can I say? The best pizza I've ever had and I've eaten quite a few. Many in Italy. Nice thin base with a crispy edge. Perfectly cooked, the toppings are beautifully presented and, most importantly, fresh ingredients. Simply great. The bolognaise is perfect, just like mom makes it. The greeting from the kitchen with olives was a delight, I've never been able to eat something so good. Personally, I really liked the atmosphere, simply authentic and not excessive. A nice honest atmosphere. The service was super nice, everything worked perfectly. It's a shame that I come from Bremen, this would be my regular restaurant. Guys, go eat there, it's worth it. Thanks again to the team.

Ein wirklich toller Geheimtipp! Das Essen ist super lecker und authentisch. Die Bedienung ist total freundlich und zuvorkommend. Da komme ich gerne wieder!

Gestern zu zweit dort abends zum ersten Mal gegessen. Alles war schmackhaft und überdurchschnittlich gut, inkl. der Getränke. Da gab es nichts zu meckern. Herzliche Familie und immer freundlich. Fazit: Die Küche kann was! In dieser Ecke von GE ein kulinarisches Highlight. Die Angabe von Öffnungszeiten wäre empfehlenswert.

Wer bei einem richtigen Italiener essen möchte, ist hier richtig. Vom Antipastiteller bis zur „Scaloppina al Limone“ war alles exquisit. Bei jedem Bissen habe ich mich gefühlt wie als wäre ich in meiner Heimat. Der Besitzer kam immer persönlich raus und war sehr zuvorkommend und mega nett. Ins Gesamt war alles so super, dass ich vergessen habe das wir quasi auf der Hauptstraße sind, leider einziges Manco aber einfach super 💪🏻

Authentische italienische Küche! Wir kommen unglaublich gerne in diesen Geheimtipp der Feldmark. Es steckt viel Liebe und Detail im Essen. Auf den ersten Blick im Restaurant erwartet man eine akzeptable Küche, aber man wird schnell eines noch besseren belehrt! Der Inhaber ist unglaublich herzlich. Auf jeden Fall das Tiramisu probieren!

Heute waren wir vis-a-vis in der Kaue bei einem Konzert , da wir vor Konzertbeginn noch viel Zeit hatten besuchten wir diese Pizzeria da ich durch die ausgesprochen guten Rezensionen darauf aufmerksam geworden bin ! Was soll ich sagen … die besten Pizzas die wir je gegessen haben , das beste Tiramisu das ich je gegessen habe , die freundlichste italienische Familie ( Inhaber ) die ich in einer Pizzeria je angetroffen habe ! Schade ist sie von unserem Heimatort Köln zu weit entfernt , sonst wären wir dort sicher Stammgäste ! Wenn ich könnte würde ich 10 Sterne 🌟 vergeben ! Danke für diese schönen 2 Stunden bei Euch ! ☺️

Wunderbares Essen, exakt wie in den besten Restaurants in Italien. Geniale Pizza, sehr gute Nudeln, tolle Minestrone und noch so vieles mehr. Wir fühlen uns dort wie in der Toskana!

Sehr nette Gastgeber, sehr autentische Küche, die gut und ehrlich ist und ohne Sahne auskommt. Großartig. Dazu faire Preise (mezzo Vino 8.00). Wir hatten uns eine Vorspeise geteilt und hatten jeweils ein Hauptgericht . Die Agnolotti al funghi sind ganz großes Kino ! Wir waren zum ersten Male dort und kommen sicherlich wieder. Padroni di casa molto gentili, cucina molto autentica che è buona e onesta e senza panna. Ottimo. E prezzi equi (mezzo vino 8,00). Abbiamo condiviso un antipasto e ciascuno ha preso un piatto principale. Gli agnolotti ai funghi sono ottimi! È stata la nostra prima volta e torneremo sicuramente.

Am 13.11.2022 erstmalig eine Salami Pizza zum Probieren gekauft. Die Pizza wurde von 3 Personen mit sehr gut bewertet. Wenn jetzt noch die Bestellung über Lieferando möglich wäre, dann bestellen wir öfters.
