A cozy, family-run restaurant with delicious food. From steak to Balkan cuisine, you can get a lot of things at moderate prices. Even if you don't like fries, you can swap for boiled potatoes, fried potatoes, etc. after consultation. The owners, Mara and Herbert Leitner, are always open to all requests. For me, a recommended restaurant if you don't necessarily want star cuisine. The restaurant also has a small restaurant with a separate entrance. There is also a cozy beer garden for the summer months.

Super cheap and good Balkan parlor Recommendation

We recently moved to the area and pretty quickly discovered this place as our favorite. Extremely friendly service, very warm & personal. Rich menu, everything we have tried so far has been really tasty. Price/performance fits here.

It's a small cozy restaurant. The owners are very friendly and very attentive. The food was prepared very quickly and was very tasty. The portions are sufficient. Price/performance top. I can also recommend it to families, because the children are also very warmly welcomed.

I go bowling and of course eat there every 4 to 6 weeks. As always, highly recommended.

So we were there for the first and last time. To be honest, food was, well (grade 3-). Portions were comparable to children's portions, and everything was so carelessly thrown onto the plate, e.g. without garnish, which is ultimately what the eye is looking for. Meat still raw on the inside. E.g. restaurant in the area is noisy, like school cafeteria or university cafeteria. Positive: Employees are all super nice, but nothing more.

Unfortunately the meat was fried completely dry The sauces didn't taste like anything The plates were quickly cleared away, giving you the feeling that you should leave quickly.

Ate very tasty and sat comfortably in the tavern. Always my pleasure! Many thanks to Mara, Herbert and the team!

Hello, hello dear people The Pusta Schenke is a place where you like to go and, above all, you like to come back. The food is thoroughly recommended. The prices are in the middle segment. The staff is quickly friendly and competent. Please reserve a table. 😇 🙏 Unfortunately, the portion sizes have changed on my last two visits so reduced that I can't even satisfy my worst hunger could breastfeed. A schnitzel plate, three pieces of schnitzel put together, the three pieces do not reach the size of a normal one Schnitzels. You should think about increasing the prices rather than shrinking the portions. If I go out to eat, I don't want to leave the restaurant feeling hungry after paying the bill. in this sense

People have been served courteously and lovingly there for years. The food is always excellent. You can tell that the owner family runs the restaurant with passion.

I was a little early at the Puzsta Schänke in Gelsenkirchen and waited for my friends. I was immediately greeted in a very friendly manner and invited to sit at the counter until we went downstairs to bowl. I ordered an apple spritzer and had a nice chat. We had a lot of fun bowling and the service was great. A call upstairs and the drinks were brought. A table was then reserved for us in the restaurant. Even though there were many guests in the restaurant, our food was served quickly and hot. We were all very satisfied. You feel welcome and the guest is truly king here. The entire team is very pleasant, attentive, polite but not intrusive. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Good restaurant, I would like to have more sauces available for the salad. Vinaigrette - French dressing The schnitzel is good and the side dishes too. I would give the food three half stars to four stars. The service is great, the table is well set and broken napkins are on the table (Japanese fan) as a tip again (stock up on salt as it is a mineral) and pepper on the table if necessary. Toilets are very clean and well maintained. The place is beautifully decorated with flowers and decorations Generally a 3.5-4 stars :)

Leckeres Essen aber vorher Tisch reservieren!

Das ist eine alteingesessene Location mit gutem Essen und einem Außenbereich. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Gutes Essen, reichhaltige Portionen und allem vorweg - ein sehr herzlicher Service Hier kann man wirklich gemütliche Abende verweilen, man geht auf jeden Fall mehr als satt nach Haus

Leider war das gesamte Fleisch von Grillteller durchgebraten und entsprechend trocken. Das Personal ist superfreundlich und sehr aufmerksam.
