Very good German cuisine. Mrs. Esselmann is a very good cook.

I ordered two different schnitzel dishes. I picked them up after 45 minutes. At home, I realized the fries and salad were missing. The two sauces taste the same, even though they were supposed to be completely different. Very annoying. This has never happened before at the Ankumer Straße location.

It's best not to arrive thirsty. At one party, I was only served once at the table; I had to get the rest at the bar.

Unfortunately, the change of ownership is noticeable... the burgers are different, which doesn't necessarily mean they're any worse. However, they're not as tasty either – the Lillet Italy Burger has three small shreds of lettuce on it, neither aioli nor pesto, but a reddish burger sauce. A single tomato slice, a slice of pickle... I might as well order a cheeseburger for half the price 🤷🏻‍♀️ I always liked the burger because it was so flavorful thanks to the sauces. Apparently, they're no longer available...
