Wir waren während unseres Aufenthaltes im Grand Hotel mehrfach im Kurhaus Restaurant essen. Und wir waren absolut zufrieden. Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service war sehr aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Eine absolute Empfehlung von uns und wir kommen gerne wieder.

It was a wonderful late summer evening on the patio of the Kurhaus, part of the Grand Hotel Heiligendamm. From the starter, to the main course and the wine selection, it was a very nice experience.

My wife and I personally “watered” our wedding in the restaurant 11 years ago. It was impressively beautiful back then. On the occasion of our wedding anniversary, we wanted to treat ourselves to this experience again. Actually last year for the 10th - but because of Corona it only happened now for the 11th. To start with the good: The food was really great. Of course we had reservations. When we arrived on site, the first challenge was actually getting onto the site. All entrances were locked. You need a chip to open it, which of course we as non-hotel guests don't have. But no matter, we cheated our way through the barrier when a car came. We still had some time. That's why we looked around a little. In one of the hotel buildings the front door was open, which we like to see as an invitation to take a look inside. It was a typical hotel: long hallway with lots of rooms, but something done to a high standard. Great furniture, high quality carpet. But this carpet was so dirty it was almost unbelievable. So we took the elevator up to see if it was better there. The elevator had a skylight. There were dead flies and other dirt there. The carpet upstairs wasn't quite as dirty as downstairs, but far from clean and well maintained. But we didn't actually want to stay in the hotel, we just wanted to eat. That's why we went to the restaurant. We were offered a table on the terrace. The table was already beautifully set. However, one of the spoons clearly had food residue stuck to it. The terrace itself was... well I'll put it this way: When I eat in the student cafeteria in Rostock, the terrace is cleaner. There were grease stains, leftover food (e.g. crushed fruit), and crayons from previous children's guests all over the floor. The frames of the parasols were covered all over with spider webs (These were not fresh spider webs, but had dried flowers hanging in them.) The whole thing left a very unkempt and dirty impression. The 5-star claim has been far missed. I also noticed that the clothing sizes of all the restaurant employees did not fit the wearer. Either way too small or way too big. As I said: the food was perfect. The surroundings would have been more suitable for some inexpensive small town restaurant. Unfortunately we have to say it so clearly: We were disappointed and cannot make a recommendation.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary in the hotel's bar as hotel guests. At 12:30 a waiter came and said last round. At that point we still had half a glass of wine and somehow we weren't switching gears correctly. There were two other couples there besides us. All of the other 15 tables were no longer occupied and there was no one left in the bar except the solo artist. So far so good. 5 minutes later a waiter came and brought a couple their drinks and the guest pointed out to the waiter that the beer they had ordered was not there. Then (the red wine glasses were now empty) my wife and I wanted to have one last nightcap to celebrate the day and ordered a whiskey sour from the waiter. The waiter's comment was only that the “last round” was 5 minutes ago. The beer could still be freshly tapped and brought to the guest, but our drink order was ignored. I then discussed it with the bar manager and he simply had the absurd opinion that “last round means last round”. Ok I understand. I can understand such an attitude in the village pub, but in a 5 star plus hotel where a man/woman spends their hard-earned money and is then dismissed with the argument “last round means last round” is more than ridiculous. Sorry, I think I could have had my last drink in the village pub, no offense!! But what was most disappointing was the arrogant, snooty and stubborn attitude of the bar “boss”. I've never experienced anything like that. His only argument was the “last round” and if he threw that set-in-stone principle out the window, the world would end. We were THREE!!!! Couple, one of whom still wanted to pay and was about to leave. If the bar and all the seats had still been occupied, OK, then I can let the argument count, but not if there is still time to tap and bring the forgotten beer and then there is still time for discussion. Simply ridiculous and a disservice to the otherwise perfect hotel with super friendly staff!! Congratulations Mr. Bar“Chef”, you defended your principle, but lost two guests. A situational interpretation of principles would have been desirable and again, such an attitude to service is unacceptable for a 5 star luxury hotel!!! Thank you for nothing, oh yes, for the wonderful start to our wedding day!!

We were a small group and ate in the Kurhaus. The entire group was very happy with the food and drinks. We would also like to praise the service. Never intrusive but always there when needed. A little more time between courses would have been nice. Recommended.

Dinner. Nice ambience but overwhelmed staff who made too many mistakes (wrong drinks served, cold red wine served, incorrect bill). The waiters' clothes were also dirty. At the desired level and the prices, an absolute no-go@

Outstanding; 100% recommendation

Was soll man da sagen : kulinarische Nullnummer, obwohl dergleiche Koch wie der in der Nelson Bar auf der I-netseite deklariert . Das ist unglaublich. Zu dem Zeitpunkt als wir das weitläufige Restaurant besuchten waren gerade mal drei Tische besetzt. Wurden an einem Tisch im Mittelgang plaziert, wobei am Mittelgang vorbei die Piste der Toilettengänger aus dem Restaurant Friedrich Franz zur Toilette war, seltsamer Umtrieb, hätte man doch anders regeln können. Schrecklich. Bestellt den Bauerngockel für € 38,--. Dieser war ein Stückchen Huhn, welches leider nicht gar sondern das Gegenteil auf dem Teller lag. (Foto). Man beförderte das Fleisch zur Behebung nicht in die Pfanne sondern in die Mikrowelle, welches das Problem nicht wirklich löste. Meine Begleitung aß das 3 – Gang-Menü für € 65,--. Na ja. Hatten danach nicht mehr das Bedürfnis dieses Restaurant nochmalig aufzusuchen.

Die Küche ist sensationell und sehr empfehlenswert. Wir sind seit vielen Jahren Gäste im Hotel Heiligendamm und kommen immer wieder sehr gerne in dieses Restaurant. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön, die Küche einfach unschlagbar. Das Preisniveau ist recht hoch, aber für das hochwertige Essen absolut gerechtfertigt.

Ein großes Hotel braucht eine gute Küche und besonderen Service! Das Kurhausrestaurrant des Grandhotel stellt das in besonderer Qualität sicher und verwöhnt seine Gäste. Danke!!

My family and I enjoyed a very pleasant dinner in this very elegant restaurant which is housed in the grand hotel Heiligendamm. The food was enjoyable and the service excellent but not a very great choice but the food was well prepared and presented. The three course set menu at 60 euros seemed very reasonable although we had other offerings and the wine selection was acceptable.

Frische Produkte. Sehr schöne Karte. Schöne und vielfältige Weinkarte. Netter Service. Pianospielerin. Keine Kritik

Das Ambiente ein absolutes Highlight mit Blick auf Seebrücke und mehr. Rund um wirkt es gemütlich, das Flair stimmt auf der Terrasse. Das Kaffee und Kuchen Angebot sehr toll. Leider wirkte der Service auf uns sehr unbeholfen und unruhig. In 2-3 h von 7-10 Servicekräften bedient zu werden (keiner weiß vom anderen), spricht für mich nicht für eine gehobene Gastronomie, auch längere Wartezeiten mussten wir in Kauf nehmen.

We had an early dinner at the restaurant terrace. Despite being almost the only guests at the time the service personnel paid hardly Attention. Food was good but quite pricy. The view was outstanding.

Wenigstens die Location war schön bei bestem Wetter auf der Terrasse des Kurhauses. Service, Qualität und Präsentation der Speisen unakzeptabel! Zum Wiener Schnitzel, das schnörkellos auf dem Teller lag,, wurde nicht einmal Zitrone gereicht. Zum Rinderfilet sollten Kartoffeln rissolées serviert werden, es waren dann halbierte Pellkartoffeln, die kurz eine Pfanne besucht haben. Das ganze gipfelt darin, dass die Fischsuppe direkt auf einem Teller serviert wurde, der durch die übergeschwappte Suppe nicht wirklich appetitlich aussah. Leider war dieses Süppchen auch noch versalzen, und wir gaben es sofort zurück. Nach einiger Zeit kam die Bedienung mit der Information, dass trotzdem 50% des Preises zu zahlen sei. Nachdem wir den Restaurantleiter sprechen wollten, kam ein Kollege der Bedienung mit dem Vorschlag 'wir werden uns schon einig'. Danach wurde unser Tisch nicht mehr beachtet, bis wir die Rechnung verlangten. Die ungenießbare Suppe war nicht berechnet, uns war der Abend jedoch verdorben.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Zudem gibt es eine kleine aber feine Karte für die Kinder. Die Kellner sind alle zuvorkommend und freundlich. Tolles Restaurant für die Halbpension. Zudem der Blick auf das Meer einen i-Tupfer daraufsetzt.

Wir sind mit einer Gruppe von Warnemünde mit dem Fahrrad angereist. Terrasse war für uns vorbereitet. Service aufmerksam und freundlich. Traumhafte Aussicht von der Aussenterrasse. Teuer, aber für das Bauchgefühl: Aufenthalt Grand Hotel den Preis wert.

Wir genossen ein ausgezeichnetes Abendessen in diesem charmanten Restaurant. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Bei warmen Wetter hat man die Möglichkeit draussen zu sitzen und das Meer zu bestaunen. Sehr romantische Lage. Wir kommen gerne wieder und freuen uns schon jetzt die herzliche Frau Schwarz wieder zu sehen.

This restaurant belongs to the Grandhotel Heiligendamm and is situated in a prime location with vintage ambiente :) BUT :(( the food is average (no taste, only luke warm....) the slow and unorganized service could be improved the price/quality ratio is bad no thank you, nein danke :(

Ich musste leider feststellen, dass der Geschmack nicht ganz den Preisen entsprach. Wir hatten beide die Spargelsuppe, welche recht dünn und etwas fad schmeckte. Als Hauptgang hatte ich den Spargel mit Wiener Schnitzel. Dieses war sehr gut, jedoch schlechte die Sauce Hollandaise etwas eigenartig (aber Geschmäcker gehen auseinander). Meine Begleitung hatte den Zander mit Spargel. Das Gericht war in Ordnung jedoch nicht überdurchschnittlich gut. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend und gut ausgebildet!

The food is fine, actually a little bit more than fine, very tasty, but the level is not high enough for the price. A delicious pork chop must be extraordinary if you have to pay 35 euros. But excellent place, friendly waiters and good atmosphere.
