I don’t recommend this place. The food seemed like it was from previous days not fresh at all, old and reheated, so the flavors were all over the place. On top of that, it took around 45 minutes to arrive, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. They also charged us for an extra dish we hadn’t ordered, which we thought was part of the big shared platter. It was so bad that we didn’t want to pay for it, and luckily they admitted their mistake. The waiters were friendly and the place itself has a nice concept and could be much better, but they seriously need to improve the kitchen the food even made us feel unwell. That’s why I’m giving it one star.

As I’ve been told by two Iranians that this is one of the best Iranian places in Berlin,I will assume that I am assessing a reasonably authentic Iranian restaurant. Compared to the large and high quality ethnic restaurants in Berlin, this place ranks closer to the bottom. The food was served warm, the black tea was like any black tea, the service was ok and the inside of the restaurant was decent and clean. However, don’t expect any flavor adventure nor any dish that will amaze you nor a unique atmosphere, etc.

We've never had Persian food before, but I have to say it was absolutely delicious! If you're open to oriental delicacies and enjoy lamb dishes, then I highly recommend this restaurant!

I've tried all different kebabs here. All of them were good. Fair price. Update: the service was never really good in this restaurant but it was acceptable. Unfortunately that's not the case anymore, it just keeps getting worse!

This Persian restaurant is located a few minutes from the central bus station and the Berlin Exhibition Center, right on the main street. The price/performance ratio is good. The Chelo Kebab we ordered, grilled minced meat skewers with tomatoes, is low in fat and tastes very good. A few but delicious vegetarian dishes, many desserts, various alcoholic drinks, and teas (including Samawar). Desserts: Noon Khamei, Rollet, Napleoni, Faludeh, and Bastani. Unfortunately, there is no appetizer (thin lavash bread with cheese and herbs) like at other Persian restaurants, and no Tah-dig. Clean restrooms, a covered outdoor area (terrace), and a large indoor area with a good, family-friendly atmosphere. Overall, highly recommended

The kebab meat was old, black, and had a slight smell, and the quality was poor. The rice wasn't very fresh or fluffy either. Overall, the portion was unfortunately not very high quality or fresh.

Hafis is a wonderful restaurant serving authentic Persian cuisine. The dishes are fresh, aromatic, and prepared with love. The grilled dishes and rice dishes are particularly delicious. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive; you immediately feel welcome and well looked after. The ambiance is also cozy and stylish, ideal for a pleasant evening. The value for money is absolutely spot on. A restaurant that you'll happily recommend and visit again and again!

A very nice, cozy Persian restaurant with a very pleasant and peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone who loves and appreciates Persian cuisine.

The food is of good quality, but the staff and their attitude are very unfriendly. They make no effort to serve their guests, and the tables are also dirty.

The dining room resembled a military barracks, as loud and hectic as a crowded bazaar. The staff seemed arrogant and condescending. The food took a long time to arrive and tasted bland, as if it had been watered down with cold water. Furthermore, the interior didn't feel clean or fresh.

We've been there several times and were mostly very satisfied. But today, unfortunately, it was the opposite – and I'd like to share that. What particularly struck me: Of four waiters – two women and two men – only one seemed to genuinely enjoy his job and spoke kindly to the guests. Unfortunately, he, of all people, didn't serve us. In the future, I won't invite guests or friends there or take them there if I'm afraid they'll ask me afterward: "Tell me, what kind of service was that?"

The koobideh was tasty — better than what I’ve had outside of Iran. But the rice didn’t taste good. The tablecloths weren’t very clean, and the service was slow. We had to wait a lot to get the staff’s attention. My friend didn’t like the gheymeh stew — it had no saffron, and the potatoes were undercooked. Music-wise, I wish they mixed traditional Iranian music with some good 80s pop. Most of the music was cheap pop, which didn’t really match the vibe — though the few 80s tracks were nice.

The best Persian cuisine in Berlin! Authentic dishes, excellent flavor, and a wide selection of meat and vegetarian options. The value for money is excellent, and the service is also first-class. I'd definitely be back!

The main courses were really delicious and of good quality. Unfortunately, the faludeh wasn't fresh at all—it tasted stale, the noodles were tough, and the flavor was poor. Even the packaged faludeh from the supermarket tasted better.

First experience of Iranian restaurants, kindly accompanied by my partner who is Iranian. I can only recommend it for what concerns the food. Everything is really very good and the portions are right, for what they cost. Kind and smiling service, maybe a little slow. Average prices. I will definitely return

Good Food, a Bit Pricey on Starters – Quite Worth a Visit We were five dining at Hafis in Berlin and enjoyed the experience overall. The mixed grill platter was the highlight — juicy, flavorful kebabs with fragrant saffron rice and perfectly grilled tomatoes, which are a must with kebabs. The appetizers like kashk-e bademjan and mast-o musir were tasty but small and a bit pricey. Service was polite and efficient, if not very warm. The decor was plain, typical of many Iranian restaurants — nothing special, but the food made up for it. If you’re craving good Persian grilled meats, Hafis is worth a visit. We left full and satisfied.

Very good meat skewer, great food quality, but still takes some getting used to if you're new to it. Side dishes weren't served at the same time as the meal, which was a bit of a shame. Unfortunately, the table wasn't cleared immediately after the meal. But the most important thing is the quality of the food, which, in my opinion, is truly top-notch.

This restaurant actually has a lot of potential, but unfortunately, everything is ruined by the unprofessional behavior of the staff. Although the food was delicious, the staff showed little interest in the guests. The tables were left untidy after the meal, and no one bothered to clear the dishes or provide proper service. It was almost impossible to order again because no one attended to our table. This indifference and unprofessional attitude made our visit extremely unpleasant. Under these circumstances, I definitely cannot recommend this restaurant.

The food was really delicious – compliments to the kitchen! Unfortunately the visit was completely ruined by the unfriendly and rude staff. The staff were neither helpful nor professional and clearly had no desire to take care of the guests. Instead of serving us, they preferred to stand outside and smoke. We visited this restaurant on Sunday with a group of 20 people. The food was really excellent, but the service was a disaster! The employees were rude, disrespectful and completely disinterested in their work. After our food was gone, the used dishes remained on the table for ages - even though the staff had nothing to do and preferred to smoke outside instead of attending to the guests. When we wanted to order again, no one came to our table. This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable in the catering industry! I don't understand why the owner of this restaurant doesn't replace his team. We – and all our friends – will definitely not be coming back. If you value good service, you should avoid this place! If I could, I wouldn't even give it a star

Unfortunately, the quality and portion size have deteriorated massively. The kubideh skewers are half the size they used to be, and both kubideh and djudeh no longer taste like authentic Persian kebabs. Very disappointing! In addition, the service was extremely poor – unfriendly and slow. I visited the store twice within a month, hoping that maybe it was just a one-time blip. But unfortunately the negative was confirmed every time. I can't recommend this store more.

Dr Denial a amazing individual and a great friend for many many years taking us to this restaurant on 2nd day of ITB Berlin exhibition. Keeping the tradition alive we went this year to the best Persian restaurant in town. The venue atmosphere and the most important the food has no match. Yet the service can be bit delayed due to busy operation but trust me it is worth visiting and enjoying a evening with friends family or individual

Had to ask for my simple dish after 50 minutes. When I got an answer that you shouldn't give it as a waiter, I wanted to speak to the boss. Only then did I hear an apology. I think everyone knows what happens to you after 50 minutes when it comes to feeling full. It was also cheeky that I had to pay for what hadn't arrived yet.

Unfortunately, there was a very unpleasant smell at the entrance. The atmosphere was very sad and dark. Although the food was in great quantity, it completely lacked the good and delicious oriental, especially Iranian, flavors. The behavior of the staff was average, but unfortunately the behavior of a young woman who worked there was very unfriendly. There was neither a polite reception nor a respectful farewell. It is acceptable in the sense of good food. However, the quality has declined significantly compared to the past. The employees who worked here before were very friendly and energetic. But today the staff was full of negative energy and arrogance. They didn't even have the strength to smile. When it comes to cleanliness, kebab shops are actually much cleaner and tidier. I don't recommend it at all. 👎

For me it was a very pleasant discovery to come to this restaurant. The appetizer platter was fantastic. The grilled meat platter was wonderful! The meat was very soft and really super good. The service was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was relaxing and warm. The super honest price. I want to go back as soon as possible :)

Good quality of food and service. Nice and well decorated place. We tried different kind of “Kabab” and Baghali polo, and all of them were fine. Dogh and ice cream were great. The rice could be a little bit softer (this is my taste, maybe others are okay with its cooking level). To sum up, we enjoyed and will try it again.

The food was very tasty and well prepared, big compliments to the kitchen! Unfortunately the service was disappointing. The staff and management are so rude, impolite, and ill-tempered that, in my opinion, it’s not worth putting up with such behavior just to have a meal. Enjoying food is about more than just the taste; I believe part of the pleasure comes from the environment and the people serving it.

The food is good and tasty as always, the service is acceptable, but it should be much better, because one server is fantastic, while others are just there... The biggest drawback is the ambience, there is always loud music playing in the background and the tables are very close together, making it one of the worst Persian restaurants (ambient wise) in Berlin.

The food was relatively good, but the behavior of the staff was not at all respectful or appropriate. It seemed like they had no motivation to work. The chef didn't give us a friendly or warm welcome either. The background music was instrumental and monotonous which made the atmosphere boring. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone and have no desire to go there again.

Service/Decoration is not good at all!

This was our second chance that we gave them and unfortunately, Although they are serving one of the famous Iranian food (Kabab), but their behavior are not along with iranian culture. Very rude behavior of them made me to promiss myself not to go there any more.

The staff’s behavior has been consistently rude, and there’s a noticeable lack of friendliness or warmth. There was a broken glass in the rice plate and my wife's mouth was sore. When we told the restaurant waiter, their only reaction was to inform the kitchen staff. The fried kebabs were not good either, and the fried kebabs were burnt and dry, but the middle of the kebabs was raw. were Overall, it was not good at all and is not recommended

Yesterday there were six of us at the Hafis Restaurant. The waitresses were very polite and in a good mood! The food was terrific! We had: Soltani, Djuje Kabab, Mirza Ghassemi and Djuje Soltani. Incredibly delicious! We specially ordered and ate Mast'o-musir and Sir-Torshi as a side dish, and the Persian, homemade lavash bread was also very good!☆Djuje Kabab is very juicy and tender here. I have often experienced Djuje as dry elsewhere, but here it is a culinary delight!!! Thank you ♡

The oldest (?) cinema in Berlin, film art cinema with a very personal touch, comfortable seats with lots of legroom, good technology, ventilation could be a little better. Good program. A cinema that will hopefully last for a long time

Delicious Persian cuisine with friendly staff who do their best as much as possible

I was here in my plate a wait of men 🤢 I've already left without saying anything, then I eat It's not everything, unfortunately I couldn't sleep well the whole night because of stomach pain, the Kabak wasn't fried well, which is why I have stomach pain from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m.

The food was delicious, but they don't let you sit where you want, they gather everyone together. We couldn't enjoy the meal at all because we were forced to sit next to a family with lots of children. It was terrible and not a pleasant memory

Im usually in Berlin only for summers, and all year round, I wait to come here and get some kabob! I love their Koobideh kabob. The portion is pretty good, and it comes with sides of greens and onions. I always order the koobideh here, so i haven't tried anything else, but their Seer Torshi, which is pretty good too! The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very nice and well decorated!

Excellent Persian restaurant and our favorite in Berlin. Koobideh was some of the best I’ve had in years with perfect char, still juicy and well seasoned.
