I'm thrilled - after a year in normal restaurants with a very limited selection of vegan dishes, I was really happy to finally be able to eat everything on the menu. It was also incredibly tasty and the atmosphere made you feel good.

The three of us ate very well, everything was delicious. The waitresses were friendly, attentive and quick. We sat in the restaurant and you felt very comfortable because everything was harmonious.

Super tasty, everything vegan, extremely nice staff. The lunch menu for €11.90 is particularly highly recommended.

As a vegan with 8 years of experience in plant-based cuisine, I have tried many restaurants - but Kuli Alma really impressed me. Vegan Israeli cuisine is anything but standard: there are no bowls or avocado sandwiches here, but rather creative, aromatic and authentic dishes that shine with depth and sophistication. The taste was exceptional – intense, balanced, surprising. You can tell that the cooking here is done with passion and know-how. What was particularly nice was that the hostess noticed that we had come especially from Stuttgart and welcomed us warmly and invited us for an aperitif - a really great gesture. The rest of the team was also consistently friendly, attentive and professional. The food came quickly, everything was freshly prepared and lovingly presented. The atmosphere is harmonious, you feel welcome and in good hands. If you love vegan cuisine or simply want to eat well, you definitely shouldn't miss Kuli Alma. One thing is certain for us: we would love to come back, the long journey is absolutely worth it! Thank you for this completely successful experience!

We were there on Thursday afternoon, so it was very empty. That was extremely pleasant. The food was amazing! Above all, the Caesar salad on the daily menu was a dream. We all agreed that this was the best Caesar salad we have ever eaten. The only drawback is that the drinks are very expensive, but that's not a problem given the overall good overall impression.

The food was okay, some of it was very tasty, some of it was very reminiscent of vegan convenience products. The service was friendly and attentive. We were there with a small child, our only "accident" during the meal was an overturned glass, the liquid of which we completely absorbed with napkins, which were cleared away with the dishes. Shortly after leaving the restaurant we received a call about how impossible it was for us to leave the place. An employee (we were only served by male service staff at the place) said something brown dripped onto her white shoe while clearing away and the child defecated all over the chair. The toddler left the restaurant completely clean, we used the toilet several times during our stay (and left it clean too), all the chairs were clean when we left and apart from the aforementioned drink glass, nothing unforeseen happened to us. I don't know if we were confused with other guests with a toddler or what was going on. However, the manner does not invite us to visit again.

That is a great vegetarian restaurant where we had a lovely dinner. Tasty, fresh, decent prices and friendly staff.

Simply WOW! I was invited there to eat by a business partner. I had no idea what to expect. Especially not that it is a completely vegan restaurant. I was and still am simply amazed by the taste and variety of the dishes! I will definitely come back there!

We ate at this fantastic restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. It was wonderful, and the dishes were delicious. Even as a non-veg person, I got my money's worth. So, 100 points!

Cuisine was good but unfortunately with some burned mushrooms. I really appreciate the vegan an animal wellfare aspect however being sit in front of the Israeli flag raised some question about the owner concern for the wellfare of palestinians.

Hello. I ate there for the first time yesterday with a small group of 8 people. The food was simply fantastic. Portion size, seasoning.....just great. The service was also exemplary without being annoying. You know it...asking every 5 minutes if you need anything else, that's annoying. But here at larger intervals we simply asked as we walked past whether we were satisfied. That's exactly how service works. The only small point of criticism. Due to the rooms there, the background noise from other guests is quite loud. Anyone who doesn't have the ability to block out noise could quickly become annoyed. But otherwise absolutely GREAT! Gladly again!

First visit. I'm a flexitarian with a strong tendency towards meat. The food tasted very good, I only noticed in the restaurant that most of the dishes were vegan. Respect. Very well cooked, very well seasoned. And homemade lemonade always stands out from routine mineral water. It wasn't my last time at Kuli Alma.

Very tasty, fresh and well-seasoned food. Very nice, friendly boss. I can highly recommend the oyster mushroom shawarma, very filling, well seasoned and low in fat (sauces can be served separately if desired). Starter eggplant was also delicate. The wines are selected and of very good quality. I discovered it by chance and now want to come more often.

We were here with nine people on a Sunday lunchtime. Even though it was quite busy, the service was super fast and super friendly. No question was too much. Everything was excellently organized. The food was brilliant, from the starter platters to the main courses and the desserts. All three generations represented are enthusiastic. Clear recommendation.

We were here on the way back. This was the best chance find we've ever made. In the 1.5 hour time slot for the reservation (Saturday evening, called in advance and reserved at relatively short notice) we had excellent food and outstanding service. We haven't eaten so well for a long time and, as a fully trained waitress, I have rarely experienced such BONUS service. Starter - main course - dessert. Everything is awesome. The winter garden is heated and has a great ambience. So don't be put off if you're only offered a place there. We didn't regret it! We will definitely stop here again when passing through, if not even take the 1.5 hour trip and eat here again. We are extremely satisfied and can hardly wait to come back to Kuli Alma. Thank you for your vision and your restaurant.

We've been there for the 5th time now and every time it's a "celebration", the food and the team are a pleasure, even the 90 km can't stop us from coming a 6th, 7th, 8th....time :-)

For being a vegan restaurant , I am surprised by some of the flavours and tastes. Rich and tasty. Personally I think the dish that replaced with vegan meat is ok, not as good as those that with veggies and more original vegan food Appetizers come with surprise ; maindish I will not overate it. Chocolate mousse was also tasty . But it's a good place to go with the vegan friends.

We had a main course platter for 2 and it was delicious. We were able to try our way through 5 different dishes and were in vegan heaven! Everything was fresh, tasted great and lovingly prepared. The service was, as always, extremely attentive and warm. An absolute recommendation 👍🏻 We would love to come back 💚

Kuli Alma is by far my favorite restaurant and has been for several years. I have now tried my way through large parts of the map and have been impressed every time. A review is also in order. I could swim in the Labaneh. This is available, among other things, on the appetizer platter, which is overall a great recommendation! I'm also a big fan of Sunday brunch. The concept is simply brilliant: all you can eat, but everything is brought to the table and you order whatever you particularly like. For those looking to save money, I recommend the affordable lunch menu during the week. The Limo-Nana is the tastiest lemonade I know! Oh, actually I recommend everything I've eaten there so far and everything is definitely worth the money. In addition, the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very cozy. My non-vegan family was also convinced of the restaurant in no time. We are now regular guests on birthdays and always get a little surprise :). The restaurant isn't exactly centrally located, but it's worth the detour - for vegans and non-vegans alike!

Negative: - Difficult parking situation, the restaurant is in a residential area - regularly changing staff - not barrier-free, the restaurant is accessible via stairs, therefore not suitable for wheelchairs and strollers - generally very narrow, especially the toilets - no changing facilities We are regular guests at Kuli Alma. Unfortunately, I think the staff has been changing a lot lately. At first you knew each other, but now you feel like you've been ignored. On our last visit we were served by four different people and received a rather unfriendly welcome (and were told in no uncertain terms that we had to leave our reserved table by x o'clock). Prices have been increased and portions have been reduced. We particularly noticed it in the smaller kitchen pieces, which were significantly larger a while ago. This is probably due to rising raw material prices. All in all, recommended, not just for vegans!

I always enjoy coming here – even as a meat eater. Warm food every day, a beautiful terrace, a warm wine cellar in winter and the main restaurant is always very nice to sit among bric-a-brac and Middle Eastern photos. Excellent service. Good music (my phone's AI spat out Hebrew characters), although too quiet for my taste. With parking nearby, it becomes more difficult in this residential area. However, the “Marbachweg” stop on the U5 is only 210 m away. The restaurant can be reached from the “Dornbusch” stop on the U1, U2, U3, U4, U8 in 1.1 km. KULI'S STARTER PLATE for €29.50 (with hummus, falafel, baked eggplant, potato salad, cauliflower, labaneh, challah and pita bread) is a must on every visit. The two of us eat these and then – unfortunately – we are completely full. We also shared the homemade shawarma (€16.90 made from seitan with onions, portobello mushrooms with Israeli salad, hummus and challah bread, with amba, harissa and tahini sauce). A real house specialty. For €17.90 you can get the same thing with oyster mushrooms instead of seitan. The friend really liked the cauliflower steak (17.90); Her husband was very happy with the Chraime (€17.90, spicy tomato and vegetable dish with tofu balls), although he had hoped for shakshuka, which was recently offered there in a restaurant television program. But it tasted very similar. Owner Nir Rosenfeld even revealed his recipe for vegan Chraime to a German news magazine from Hamburg in November 2021! It's definitely worth cooking again. My personal surprise was the Beyond Burger with cocktail sauce (18), there was really no meat missing! The whole thing was rounded off with nougat ice cream (6.90) with espresso doppio (2.20). Fortunately, the Mount Hermon from the Golan Heights Winery in Israel is also available in white and red for €9.50 for a 0.2 liter glass. The delicious Hefeweizen Prinz Luitpold was really well chilled (5.50). The brunch menu is recommended on Sundays.

Falafel and cauliflower steak are great (I love them), there is nothing that doesn't go well or doesn't taste good (what we've had so far) Delicious soups, desserts etc. Hospitable staff, non-vegans don't notice it :-) The prices are okay, as vegan is significantly more expensive (e.g. VAT) and more complex, plus rent What's not ok is to call "Israeli" what is usually vegan and mainstream trendy food and not even a specifically Israeli recipe. Not cool, but uncool marketing

I have a question, vegetarians and vegans always expect to get vegetarian or vegan dishes in “normal” restaurants. How is it the other way around, you get “normal” food, i.e. animal products.

Wir sind häufig im Kuli Alma, weil das Essen so gut schmeckt! Zuletzt, mit unserem Besuch, in der ersten Januarwoche. Man muss es immer wieder sagen, es tut so gut, als vegan Lebende alles auf der Karte bestellen zu können, ohne "Weglassen müssen", wie in "vegan freundlichen" Gaststätten meistens. Sicher zu sein, dass wirklich alles tierleidfrei ist! Befreiend auch für uns! Nicht nur für Tiere, die wir leben lassen. Wir bestellen gern Hauptgerichte in Kombi mit Vorspeisen, die wir zeitgleich bestellen. Dann wird auch oft probiert und geteilt untereinander. Alles ist köstlich! Gerade überflog ich neben den vielen guten Kritiken auch zwei schlechtere. Letztere verstehe ich überhaupt nicht. Wir hatten noch nie Beanstandungen, alles war stets wie gewohnt lecker und üppig. Und wer sich über die Preise beschwert, die bei dem Aufwand der Zubereitung und der Qualität der Lebensmittel ohnehin angemessen sind, sollte wissen, dass vegane Zutaten leider teurer sind, weil es eine Lobby für nicht-vegane Produkte gibt, und sich außerdem klar machen, dass es sich trotzdem im Kuli Alma um ortsübliche Preise handelt, wenn man Restaurants vergleicht. Unser Fazit: Das Kuli Alma verdiente sogar 6 Sterne, schon weil es uns so befreit, aber insbesondere wegen des tollen Essens!

There were two of us in this restaurant today and we ordered the main course platter for two people, which meant we were able to try different dishes. We were absolutely thrilled! The food was fantastic and the service was very friendly. If we ever end up in Frankfurt again, we will definitely come back!

Service catastrophic. Half of the dish was forgotten and rude! Food is ok, nothing special

Unfortunately not satisfactory. Half of two dishes were forgotten or not yet finished. The pita with the hummus was forgotten. And when it came, the hummus was of course already empty. The salad was unsalted and appeared to be a few days old. The portions are tiny for a steep price.

Restaurant is in a quiet location, but unfortunately parking is difficult. The furnishings are modern and appropriate, but the interior is very tight. The food is a little more expensive, but tastes very tasty. We had kebab and shawarma, both recommended.
