Very cozy location. Very friendly staff. The food was fantastic – even for me as a non-vegetarian.

There were five of us here – the whole family. It was a really lovely evening. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly and welcoming, the food is wonderful, and the service is exceptionally attentive.

I'm now a regular here and I'm completely satisfied. If something goes wrong, the chef (Nir R.) is always available and finds a solution. Today I tried the new Mediterranean restaurant Balagan in Frankfurt. We were a large group of 15 people. The entrance area is inviting; you can also sit outside, and it's really comfortable. The interior is also beautifully decorated, and you immediately feel at home. The staff is very friendly and attentive; you're greeted as soon as you enter. The cuisine here is Israeli and very vegan-friendly  . The menu offers many dishes, so everyone should find something. The homemade lemonades are appetizingly presented and taste good. For starters, the three of us ordered the large appetizer platter with many different options, including hummus, labaneh, tabbouleh, fried eggplant, tomato salad, pita, and falafel. Oh, I just noticed that two things were missing (cauliflower and eggplant cream). I'll have to mention that next time I visit; it was probably just an oversight. The portions were good, and everything was delicious. The hummus is world-class, the eggplant is my favorite, but the falafel is also really good. The price is €21.00, so if they also include the two missing items, that's fine. For the main course, I ordered the homemade shawarma with seitan. It's really damn delicious, and at first, I thought, "I wonder if this will fill me up?" But probably due to the starter, I was already quite full afterward. The taste was really good, although it was very tomato-heavy. I would have liked a bit more seitan, but I think I'll just mention it next time I visit and it will work out. But it was really, really tasty. Everyone else was impressed with their dishes too; a friend ordered the kebab. What came next was something no one really expected. Potatoes with quite a lot of tomato salad and three meatballs, but the taste was absolutely top-notch. Our waitress, the very friendly Yasmin, then recommended that we have desserts, so almost everyone ordered cheesecake, strawberry crumble, etc. It was all really tasty. Finally, there were a couple of big, fat dates on the house and the lovely evening was drawing to a close. The owner @Nir Rosenfeld personally said goodbye to everyone and asked with interest if everything was okay or if there were any suggestions for improvement. So all in all, I can say it was a very nice evening, with great people in a very nice location, with delicious food. However, there are a few things that perhaps should be reconsidered. I also shared these with the owner, and I think something will be done about it. Some of the prices were a bit high; €13.90 for the shawarma and kebab is quite a statement. I think €2.00 less would be more appropriate, and if they added a bit more seitan, that would be a nice touch. A euro or two off the price of some of the starters would also benefit. So, we'll definitely be back, and probably more often...

We've been here before. Once for breakfast and once for dinner. Dog-friendly, people-friendly, and the food is outstanding! What more could you want? Unfortunately, I forgot to take any photos.

We've been to Kuli Alma several times, and it never disappoints. The food is truly insanely delicious and so varied. We always order the appetizer and/or main course platters because we can't decide between all the delicious options. Upon request, they even offer gluten-free bread (which isn't a given). The service staff is very friendly and accommodating. Yesterday, we were even given a larger table because of the large platter. Due to lack of space, we had to move seats again, and because of the "switch," they gave us dessert on the house. Aside from being a very nice gesture, the dessert was simply outstanding. I absolutely recommend Kuli Alma 💯

Everything is vegan, delicious, and authentic. Exceptionally friendly service. Great homemade lemonade. The dessert platter is highly recommended, and for meat lovers, the kebab. It's barely distinguishable from its meat counterpart. Parking is challenging in a residential area.

I went to Kuli Alma with a few friends and we had a truly wonderful evening! The restaurant has a super relaxed atmosphere – modern, cozy, and with great attention to detail. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. Our highlight was definitely the Hummus Saniya – incredibly delicious, creamy, and perfectly seasoned! You can immediately tell that the food is cooked with fresh ingredients and passion. We'd definitely love to come back – highly recommended for anyone who loves good food and a pleasant atmosphere!

Ordered: CHICKEN RABBIT OMELETTE €17.90 FILLED WITH BEYOND MEAT, TOMATOES, GRUBE CURRY AND AIOLI, SERVED WITH BACKED POTATOES AND SCHARFER SRIRACHA SAUCE. Kudos for the fast and friendly service. The atmosphere is pleasant, not noisy, though busy (Saturday evening). I didn't find the dish particularly special; it had too much salt and felt a bit hastily and carelessly put together. Almost cafeteria-style.

I go there often. Actually, whenever I want something particularly cozy. Usually, a group of us gets the appetizer platter and then either a shawarma or a burger. Last time I was there, I was in the middle of the afternoon and discovered the hummus with ground beef. I'll need that more often from now on! And, if I still have room in my stomach, a piece of cake :) . A definite recommendation, not just for vegans!

Rarely do you leave a restaurant feeling as satisfied as after a visit to Kuli Alma. We enjoyed both the appetizer platter and the main course platter, and what can I say: every bite was a delight. The variety of flavors, the freshness of the ingredients, and the creative preparation make it clear that the food here is cooked with passion and expertise. We didn't miss meat for a second—in fact, quite the opposite: this kitchen impressively demonstrates how rich and satisfying plant-based dishes can be. We would particularly like to highlight the bread and flatbread—both were incredibly delicious and the perfect accompaniment to the aromatic dips and dishes. The service was also impeccable: courteous, attentive, pleasantly present—but never intrusive. This is exactly how you want a restaurant visit to be. A small side note—the mushrooms on the skewer could have been seasoned much more strongly for our taste. But that's really just a personal impression and doesn't detract from the overall experience. What's important to me, however, and what I'd like to address today for once, is that I find it unacceptable that some people give this restaurant a bad review simply because of its Israeli origins, without ever having been there. This has nothing to do with honest criticism, and it's detrimental to a place that creates an open, welcoming, and culinary-impressive atmosphere with so much dedication. That's precisely why I felt it was important to share my consistently positive experience here. Kuli Alma is not just a place for good food, but also a place for tolerance, enjoyment, and encounters. We'll definitely be back!

If we want to go out for a fancy meal, we go to Kuli Alma. I especially love the starter and dessert platter; you can't find anything like it anywhere else.

We had a reservation for two people that evening and ordered three appetizers. -Cauliflower with aioli -Hummus Sabich -Baked eggplant with challah bread Everything was delicious and enough for two people as a main course. It was beautifully decorated, and the bread was warm, fluffy, and fresh. I didn't miss the meat at all. The young waitress was very attentive, coming over several times to ask if everything was okay. For dessert, I had the strawberry crumble. A dream dessert in a glass! They even had decaf espresso. All in all, a very successful dinner, with a quiet, cozy atmosphere and attentive, fast service. I would love to come back in the summer to sit outside :))

Shawarma had the consistency of eraser, and the cauliflower was dripping with oil. To describe the hummus as hummus is almost negligent – ​​you couldn't even taste a single ingredient. And again, the maximum amount of oil was added. I asked the waiter about it: "The food is just like that. If it doesn't taste good, sorry..." and then left. I've eaten enough authentic(!) Arabic cuisine to judge that the "food" we were served was not "LIKE THAT." If you want constant elbow bumps and chairs behind unknown neighbors, you'll find that here. Thanks - No.

The food could have been good if it wasn't drenched in grease. Parts of the food were burned, fortunately the portions are big enough that I could just ignore those parts. The price is also quite high for the food. It's nice if you enjoy that atmosphere but otherwise it's a one time experiment.

We were greeted warmly even late in the evening, and the food was truly delicious – the vegan dishes in particular are really well-made. There is one big but, though: I specifically asked if the dessert contained nuts (I have a severe allergy). I was assured several times that there were none – unfortunately, the cake base did contain almonds/nuts. This is very tricky for allergy sufferers; I had to react immediately and still had problems afterward. The staff checked, but unfortunately didn't react professionally enough; they also offered casual remarks rather than a clear apology. On Sunday, we went to Kuli Alma because we'd heard about their amazing brunch. We weren't disappointed. We were so full and so enthusiastic that we'll definitely be back. Brunch offers the opportunity to try a little of everything. And you can order the one you like best again. Truly great. A cold and a hot drink were also included in the price.

The fact that a staff meeting was held directly in the guest area during our visit – and all the content was clearly understandable to everyone present – unfortunately didn't leave a professional impression. The service itself was friendly and attentive, but it made the overall atmosphere a bit hectic. My Caesar salad was well-crafted, but significantly overloaded with bread croutons, so the balance between crisp salad, dressing, and toppings was lost. Overall, the quality was okay, but didn't reach the level of our previous visits, where we were much more impressed by both the fine-tuning of the dishes and the atmosphere. It's a shame, because the potential and positive experiences from the past are undoubtedly there – but this time it fell short of expectations.
