Dominion Food Revolution Vegan, kosher / israeli Restaurant & Catering in Frankfurt am Main

Yesterday, the four of us ate at Dominion and each ordered the shawarma plate. Unfortunately, the shawarma was terrible. It was very oily and tasted like it had been deep-fried and then left out in the display case for too long. The texture was incredibly tough and rubbery. We politely pointed this out to the staff, and they responded in a completely professional and customer-oriented manner. We received a refund and were offered dessert. This wasn't necessary at all, but we were very pleased with the customer service. Why am I writing such a good review despite the poor food? The Rosenfeld family is passionately committed to animal welfare, and mistakes can happen. We've been regular customers for many years (mostly at Kuli) and have never been disappointed by the quality. I'm only writing this so that the otherwise excellent quality doesn't decline, even at fast-food restaurants. Especially since a friend of mine had a similar experience at Dominion a few weeks ago.

They have fantastic, purely plant-based food here. The shawarma dishes are especially good.

The service is incredibly friendly, and the food was also delicious. As a vegan, it's always a highlight to experience a completely vegan restaurant. Nothing particularly high-quality or special in terms of taste, but the concept, as I said, is a highlight.

We visited this restaurant today and were absolutely impressed! The food was not only very delicious but also freshly prepared and beautifully presented. You can really tell that everything is made with quality and passion. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, so there’s something for everyone. The atmosphere in the restaurant was fantastic. The fun and friendly quotes on the walls immediately put you in a good mood and make the place feel very cozy. It truly feels like dining at a friend’s place. The service also deserves high praise: the staff were very friendly, attentive, and incredibly fast. We’ve rarely experienced such quick service without any compromise on quality! As soon as we ordered, our food was already on the table and it was perfect. Overall, it was a wonderful experience! We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who values great food, a pleasant atmosphere, and excellent service. We will definitely be coming back!

For a quick lunch or to eat at home. The hummus and coleslaw are great. Schwawarma is my favorite. I always bring some of the malabi and chocolate mousse for the rest of the family. ;-)

We had vegan pita doner, doner plate, and shawarma plate. The vegan pita doner was very tasty. Great sauce and super good bread! I think both are even better than a typical doner. The vegan meat tastes good too. In my opinion, it could have had a lot more vegetables, perhaps with red cabbage and optionally pepperoni, etc. The doner is also heavily layered. That means the vegetables are on the bottom and the vegan meat with sauce is on top. For my taste, the ingredients could be pre-mixed and placed in the bread. Otherwise, it's great - thank you for the great vegan alternative! The doner plate to go is also great! A great alternative to the "real" doner plate with meat, which I find more tiring. The plate has plenty of vegetables and just the right amount of fries, which stayed crispy even in the to-go box. The shawarma plate is incredibly filling. In addition to the small cucumber and tomato salad, there's tabbouleh, and hummus under the generous shawarma. The shawarma plate is a bit more tangy than the doner kebab plate due to the various spices and hummus. My personal favorite is the doner kebab plate. Thank you for the great vegan options. I've even been there with absolute non-vegans. They all loved it ❤️🫶🏻

"Shawarma Heaven Burger" — The shawarma between the buns horrified me, to be honest. Sure, it's a meat substitute, but "rubber," folks—serving "rubber" is, let's just say, difficult! "Shakshuka" — The stew was far too salty for my taste, and the falafel inside was "floury" and not immediately identifiable as such. Had I eaten there, I would have sent both back! The only consolation: the waitress was very friendly and attentive.

Top-notch vegan food. For meat-eaters, I can recommend the doner kebab or the kebab. Absolutely fantastic. P.S. Negative reviews of Nir's restaurants are often politically motivated. I wouldn't let that be a factor when choosing a restaurant.

I went for lunch there and I took a shawarma pita and a sandwich with a schnitzel, also a brownie as dessert but I forgot to take a picture. If possible I would have given 3 stars and a half because the food was good but nothing special, in the shawarma (I hope I am writing it right) I would hace preferred the "meat" to be more crispy and cooked, while it was a bit chewy and I did not prefer the bread used in the sandwich with the schnitzel, the brownie was pretty good but served with a chocolate sauce which was not the best.

Had dinner here while passing through. Vegan, and we only discovered it late. Perfect food selection! The taste is amazing! People and delivery services are beating them down! Perfect, I think!!! You can sit inside or outside, order at the counter, or via QR code. And it's quick. If I'm ever in Frankfurt again, I'll be back! Thanks!

Nir is the man and the food is TREMENDOUS.

A small shop with a fast-food vibe. We love coming here when we need something quick but still tasty. The entire menu is vegan, and so far, we haven't found a dish we didn't like. You can order at the counter, either for takeout or to eat in. Seating is available both inside and outside.

Very tasty, the future lies in "non-meat," and the skewers taste amazing! I don't think the name and presentation are that great; it reminds me of the old Thai Express. The food is really good, though, although the hummus isn't as good as at Hummus Küch. Another reason for losing a star is because the pita, although warm and soft, tasted a bit "mushy." Still, it's nice that they now have it in Westend! Definitely recommend it! Update 2025: Portions have unfortunately gotten significantly smaller :/

The food there is actually quite delicious. But today I unfortunately discovered that they've reduced the amount of hummus in the Hummus Falafel + Salad (€9.70). Previously, the entire bottom of the bowl (which I often take home) was covered in hummus, but now it's apparently only half. The salad has been placed in the place of the missing hummus. I was surprised that the dish was so light when I picked it up anyway. That irritated and disappointed me. Therefore, I won't be eating there again, sorry. Very non-transparent. Too bad.

I'm giving it 5 stars because I absolutely love the burgers and side dishes here, even though I'm not vegan. I think they taste absolutely fantastic. I've never tried any of the other dishes. However, I find the rather aggressive tone toward meat eaters on various banners and notices a shame. Just because someone eats meat certainly doesn't mean they support factory farming and animal cruelty. I really wish they weren't so aggressively promoting the image of the kind-hearted vegan and the devilishly evil meat eater.

At Dominion, I had a Super Loaded Crispy Chicken Burger with fries and homemade lemonade. The burger was wonderfully crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, the fries were perfectly cooked, and the lemonade was wonderfully refreshing. Everything tasted excellent and was made with great attention to detail. The staff was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. A respectable restaurant.

By tabbouleh, I mean a salad where the main ingredient is parsley, not bulgur... The falafel isn't made with chickpeas, and I'm not entirely satisfied with the flavor, and it's overly fried. I've eaten here a long time ago and had better memories. The service was fast and friendly.

Vegan food of the highest quality. Orders processed quickly. Buzzer tells you when you can collect your food. Good portions. Very friendly staff.

Shawarma used to be really tasty, but last time it was very squishy and weird. It was more like thin rubber discs with some spices. The salad was a really small portion for the price, and completely unseasoned. There are no spices or oil on the table for you to add your own seasoning. The portion size of the plates also seems disproportionate to the price. The shawarma on the plate was also so squishy and weird. Maybe the rest of the menu is tasty (especially considering the prices), but the shawarma are not recommended. The interior is okay, just a relatively standard hipster place. The staff are friendly.

The vegan shawarma (burger) tasted like cattle feed honestly. I ordered only because of the 1+1 NeoTaste offer. I doubt I'll return.

I was at a festival at their food truck. The cheese sauce for the fries came from a tube and didn't taste like cheese.

Dominion serves delicious vegan food. It's really nice to be served Israeli classics there, and they taste very good. I thought some of the dishes could have been a bit more spicy, with more herbs, and even lemon/lime or something else for a bit more kick. But that's a matter of taste. The service was very friendly and relaxed; the atmosphere is dominated by vegan agitation and therefore not quite as cozy as I would have liked.

If you don't want to eat meat for a change, this is the perfect option. Absolutely delicious!

Found it by chance and tried it. Very, very tasty and highly recommended.

We've been there four times now and ordered the vegan doner kebab to go. Three out of four times, the doner kebab was stuffed with wet cabbage at the bottom, followed by salad, and then some of the veggie doner meat on top. The sauce was carelessly smeared (slapped) on top and was smeared all the way to the edges of the bag. After three bites, there was no more sauce left. If you're offering doner kebabs, it wouldn't be a bad idea to prepare them appetizingly and evenly, so that some of the sauce and meat also reach the bottom. Furthermore, the bread is usually cut all around or soggy due to all the wet cabbage at the bottom. It could also be toasted a bit crispier. It could be better! Especially for that price. And no, it wasn't busy – so no stress to be seen, and three out of four times, it was definitely not a coincidence. We'll try again and update the review if things improve.

Today we visited this wonderful place for the first time, and the impressions were only positive! There were four of us, and everyone really liked everything. Delicious vegetarian dishes, indistinguishable from meat, huge portions, a warm, cozy atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff. Everything was top notch - from the kitchen to the service. Thank you very much for a pleasant evening, we will definitely come back! I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates quality food and a warm atmosphere.

I enjoyed an incredibly delicious kebab plate (so delicious). (Most of the others had one, too.) But the burger and fries with mince sauce also made a great impression. So I already know what I'll order next time (the fries with mince).

Awesomely delicious vegetarian/vegan food! The staff is super friendly, you feel like you're visiting old friends every time :) Everything is cooked quickly, so it's a great place to stop by for lunch. The portions are okay - not huge, but enough to fill you up. I highly recommend it not only to vegans and vegetarians, but also to anyone who just wants to eat something great and without meat!
