Kukku Ramen in Ulm

Unfortunately, the food wasn't convincing at all for the price (and I actually really like spending money on food). The karaage were great, for 10€ but a very small portion (4 pieces), but the ramen just really wasn't, for 20 euros we got 90% noodles and a bit of vegetables and minced meat. In terms of taste it wasn't the burner either, minced meat was very dry, the eggs tasted like it was rotten, the broth was tasty but that was it. I also thought it was a shame that we only got the leftovers of the pak choi (3 very, very small leaves). The drinks were also cheeky, there are special drinks for €7, but after the first sip they only taste like fizz. It looks very nice from the outside, but once you sit at the table, you quickly notice that the tables are much too narrow, you can practically hear the neighbor smacking their lips, I sat on the heater, which was much too hot, it was partly very unpleasant. We didn't let it ruin our evening and just tried to enjoy it, but we won't be coming back because there are much better ramen in the area.

Quite good in itself, but unfortunately very cold - bring a winter jacket! 😁

The fried chicken is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside so delicious that I ordered another plate. The ramen with yuzu soy sauce and dandan noodles flavored soups are both delicious. I thought the portion looked small but it was actually quite filling. The ice cream is delicious and really has a matcha flavor, unlike other stores that have a strong chemical flavor. There are few places in the store. It is recommended to book a table in advance.

The two of us recently ate at Kukku Ramen. Had reserved a few days in advance. When we arrived we were told that they didn't have a table available yet and that we should wait, so we waited outside for our seat. We weren't brought in or anything but went back in by ourselves 10 minutes later and were then sat down after a few puzzled looks. It has to be said that all the tables and seats are very close to each other. Almost no privacy possible during conversations. After we ordered, the starters came 15 minutes before the drinks(?). And half an hour later the drinks, and to be honest I wasn't in the mood anymore. Cutlery was only available upon request. It was also constantly cold in the restaurant every time the door opened and closed. So after I thought that this restaurant could be kicked into the dust, the ramen came. (They came after about 45 minutes!!!) And when I tried the ramen, it blew my socks off. These were incredibly delicious. We only booked an hour, but then relaxed and ate and chatted. By the way, the prices are also way too expensive; there was also a price increase a few months ago (around +5€) at Essen Food 10 points But the rest doesn't work at all...

The ramen made here is really tasty, but completely overshadowed by the horrible service and seating timing. When we arrived we always had to wait because "the table is still being occupied/prepared" and we stand in the rather narrow room at the drafty door. After squeezing yourself into your table, which is far too cramped, the wait begins. After taking the order quite unfriendly, the food arrives in a normal, quick time. The big problem, however, is that there is no time between different groups when making reservations, and at the same time the timing is far too tight for starters, main courses and dessert to be offered. This meant that we were just enjoying eating, but then we were told we had to leave straight away because the next group was already there. For this experience there are also very steep prices, which have risen by 30 (!!!!) percent within the last 9 months. In summary, it's a shame what's happening here. Super tasty authentic food, ruined by poor service, horrible planning and very narrow tables and seating.

We were absolute regulars at Kukku until recently and loved eating there - for almost two years. Unfortunately, our last visit completely changed our minds. The arrangement of the tables has already been a point of criticism in the past: tables close together, so that you hardly have any privacy and are constantly overhearing the neighbors' conversations. But this time there were more disappointments: Prices have increased dramatically - starter from €7 to €10, ramen €4 more expensive - without any improvement in portion sizes or quality. On the contrary: the portion sizes have always been very large, and this time it would have been particularly desirable to have the option to order smaller portions or to share them. But unfortunately that wasn't offered. The drinks, once known for their intensity and freshness, have also disappointed. The homemade lemonades, which once justified every taste note, this time tasted more like water with a hint of aroma - and that for €7. It's a shame to see that as popularity has gone down, so has quality, while prices have skyrocketed. We've always enjoyed staying here, especially on special occasions like our monthly anniversary, but after this experience we probably won't be coming back any time soon.

Unfortunately, our seat was a bit tight (it was slightly blocked by chairs) and despite having a reservation we had to wait a little long for our waitress. The food wasn't bad, but I only half understood the price, especially since you had to ask a lot about the memory card, which unfortunately was only available online. Toilets were clean👍

Very tasty ramen, unfortunately you could only reserve for 1 or 1.5 hours. The restaurant is rather cramped, but the drinks and food were really great.

If I had rated the Kukku Ramen before our visit yesterday, I would have given it a five star rating - more than deserved by then. We enjoy coming here to eat regularly throughout the year and have been doing so for almost two years. We now even drive here from Munich and we tell our friends and acquaintances that they absolutely have to eat here because the food is so delicious. We love it! I honestly can't imagine that there is a more tasty broth anywhere than here. I've been assured by friends who visit Asia regularly that they haven't had a better vegan broth anywhere. We personally think your Kara-Miso Ramen is to die for. The gyoza are also great and the sauce that comes with it also tastes delicious. Admittedly, it's not exactly cheap, but they use meat from the region, the food is great and so far the service and ambience have been good too. Until now. When we arrived today at the reserved time, we stood in the entrance area for over five minutes and were ignored. I understand that the restaurant is busy on a Friday evening. However, it's really a poor performance if you don't manage to greet the guests in over five minutes with a “Hello everyone, very briefly. I’ll be right there for you.” to welcome. I had already considered whether I shouldn't leave, because that leaves the impression as if you weren't welcome as a guest. When we were led to our table, I had to put my jacket back on straight away because it was so cold at the table. Ice-cold air (outside temperature 2 degrees) was constantly blowing in. We thought it might not be so bad because there would be hot food soon. But far from it: we had to wait over 45 minutes for our food. At other tables we observed that guests sat for a while before their food was served, but were unable to start eating because the cutlery was missing from the table. All in all, the service today left a lot to be desired. Ultimately, it remains to be said that today's service was hopefully an outlier and we will be able to enjoy the usual friendliness and professionalism next time.

Very lucky to snag a spot at the bar, very full venue, fast and friendly service, gyoza was yummy (sauce a little spicy) and ramen was delicious!! Good sized serve and easy to order extras. Came out fast and very tasty. Good selection of drinks. Menu is via QR code so be mindful of this if you don't have WiFi. Highly recommend, definitely book ahead for weekends (can book online)

1. The taste of the food was very good. In my opinion, a euro or two too expensive 2. Ambiance looks nice, in the cold season it is drafty and cold. 3. Service is a bit lacking. Drinks came very late, food even later. Not a problem per se. The fact that you haven't even eaten yet and are being asked to pay is a bit outrageous. Unfortunately, I can't do anything about the timing of the kitchen. Consequently, the conclusion is rather sobering.

Went in there, stood around for quite some time but then employees were not taking us to a table until we asked them where we should sit. Then we ordered the food with sparkling water, sparkling water came out promptly but the food was taking a long time. At about 40 minutes, we asked where the food was, only to find out the food order was never put in. We just paid for the sparkling water and exited the restaurant. (Not even offered to comp the water for inconvenience caused) It was seriously the most disorganized restaurant I have ever been to.

First of all I would like to say that kukku ramen has become by far our favorite restaurant. We've been here about once a month or more since the store opened, and the food is really excellent. So far we've only had super nice waitresses who do a really great job - until today. After we placed our (admittedly somewhat complicated) order with the “bartender” with the short brown/black hair, the lady’s mood was unfortunately already over. Since the beginning there have only been sarcastic comments, which I initially labeled as 'being funny', but it was just cheeky after the third eye roll and ironic comment. Two of us ordered a drink that said on the menu that it had mint in it (that's why we chose the drink in the first place), but the drink came without it, which wasn't that bad, we just had it as normal asked if we could have mint in it. After she said “mh, they really want mint now” she then went to talk to her BOSS and then came back to us and gave us a sermon about how the mint is just decoration and doesn’t add anything to the taste. (Instead of her just putting the mint in). When the lady asked us if we really wanted to have this DEKO without taste, she actually put it in. I even started to apologize because we didn't want to be difficult or anything- but no, she ignores me and walks away. I thought it didn't matter, she just didn't hear, but then just say it again: I'll start again and apologize, she said yeah, yeah, that's fine, waved me off and ran away. And that was the moment when it was over for me. You've never experienced a waitress who was so incapable of criticism (even though it wasn't even criticism) and rude. In the end, it's not that crazy at the beginning, but the way she talked to us at the end and just turns around and runs away while you're talking to her doesn't work at all. At the end I actually wanted to talk to her again about how she behaved, but unfortunately I didn't see her again and therefore wrote the text here. And I would also like to emphasize again that your food is amazing, they really have the best ramen in the area and all the other employees we have met so far are always really nice and always do a great job, including the other two ladies who served today. It was really just this one who was just acting cheeky.

Didn't like the food at all. Others seem to like it but I didn't find any of the ramen I tried really tasty.

We've been there twice in the last two months and both times we only spontaneously got a seat at the counter, which was completely ok because the restaurant was already completely full. Our food still came promptly and was super tasty. Will be going back soon because the vegan soups were simply delicious. Great restaurant and great food!

I've been wanting to try ramen for a while now, so I thought I'd visit this restaurant on a whim. It was my first visit up to that point and probably my last. As for the food, I have to say it was okay. The presentation was nice, the ingredients were fresh. It didn't really suit my taste but that doesn't matter here. Overall, the food can be recommended. Unfortunately the service is anything but good. Apparently kindness is unknown. It was a spontaneous visit, the restaurant wasn't even half full. I sat down at a table because there was no sign anywhere that it was reserved. The lady from the service then pointed out to me, in what I felt was a passive-aggressive manner, that I couldn't just sit down anywhere here. At least I got a seat at the counter. The table I first sat at was free the whole time during my visit. When my dish was served to me, the cutlery was missing. When I asked, I was given cutlery, but it was placed individually on the counter. I'm sorry but that's where it ends for me. You just don't do that, you learn how to do it properly in your first year of training and it's an absolute nonsense to the guest. The atmosphere is nice, but too uncomfortable in winter. It's just too cold and you get the cold wind every time someone goes in or out. In conclusion, I have to say that it is a shame that an otherwise good restaurant has a lady who is completely unsympathetic and unprofessional as its "flagship". You remember that.

The food, sodas and service were excellent. (Service very eager, asked three times if everything was ok) We ordered the chicken starter twice because it was so good! Ambience very nice. You have a colorful flock of origami cranes above your heads, which makes the room look lively, very beautiful. Everything else also seems very authentic and coherent. It was just a little cold next to the door and the music was horrible at times.

Very good. Definitely get the fried chicken as an appetizer.

Class. Absolutely favorite ramen spot in Ulm. But book a reservation with enough time. Be careful, the window sill seats are above the heater and are quite warm in winter, but as a frozen person I love it...

I ordered the vegan rahman and added marinated tofu. The broth was rich, tasty, the toppings paired well together and the handmade noodles were delicious. This is a small restaurant with limited seating, id recommend making a reservation!

So unfortunately I know ramen a little differently. But the taste was generally good. Unfortunately, the service staff didn't have much idea, had to ask several times and only when we had shown what we wanted to eat on the menu (which was very clear anyway) could they take the order. The atmosphere was very nice.

Very very tasty. The tonkotsu broth is really powerful. The homemade noodles are great and the pork belly from the local farmer is also very tasty. Unfortunately, I still have to say that the price is a bit excessive, considering that even in Tokyo, one of the most expensive cities in the world, you can get a great portion of ramen for well under 10 euros.

There were two of us who both ate here for the first time. The food was very, very tasty, 100% recommendation. However, there wasn't enough space and we had problems even sitting down. Unfortunately, we were put off when we arrived that we could please wait a little longer until the table was free (a bit stupid to wait despite having a reservation). Unfortunately, the service wasn't really attentive, despite the small number of tables. They didn't have the feeling that either of them were stressed, they just weren't interested in asking if everything was okay or if they'd like another drink. The service could be improved, as could the scheduling. It's cozy and very nicely furnished there, but unfortunately there's not enough space.

Food not authentic. I've never been served hot edamame in Japan, it wasn't salty enough and it was sometimes mushy. Eggs not inserted in ramen. Chasu was fried too briefly, didn't see enough marinade and was therefore tasteless. When it comes to the broth, I don't want to doubt that it was cooked correctly. However, in our opinion the Misoramen was far too sweet and the Tantanmen was inedible. In addition, the broth was too cold, the noodles were too hard and the chasu was also cold... Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with traditional ramen cuisines. Too bad

Very relaxed atmosphere, despite the tables being full. Good design of the small room. Food came very quickly, was very good and great staff.

Sometimes very little things can spoil the evening. The ramen was a bit too spicy... The door didn't close properly and the cold air was constantly blowing from outside... Not too much to put a bad rating, but not 5 stars also.

Delicious food and nice ambience. But very expensive, especially for vegetarians. Why does vegetarian ramen cost the same as meat ramen? I don't think that's justified because the ingredients are far cheaper. Price-performance is therefore not right. We also had to wait 20 minutes for our reserved table & according to other reviews here, this probably happens more often.

Super tasty homemade ramen soups, very large portions and perfect noodles. Only deducted because the door was constantly being opened due to reservation/pickup and it became cold and uncomfortable... It was very loud and therefore not that comfortable overall

Very very tasty ramen. But I find it outrageous that the waitress asks you if you want an egg with it and then you have to pay an additional €2 for an egg for the €17 ramen. That should at least be communicated. The homemade matcha lemonade was inedible. Unfortunately it didn't taste like matcha at all and was way too sweet. More of a stale woodruff taste. 7€ for that…

Enjoyable dinner! I had the tantanmen with the miso beef topping. My broth was rich and the homemade noodles were perfectly cooked! However, the broth and meat were both strangely sweet, which was unexpected, and the eggs were regular non-marinated hard boiled eggs, which was disappointing. Service is quite slow, but friendly. We had to wait about an hour for a table so I suggest making a reservation if you’re going between 6-9pm on a weekend.

Great, eating ramen for the first time in Ulm, great price, great service, great food!

Since the Kukku opened we have been coming here again and again when we are in Ulm. So here is my experience of visiting as a couple, but also as a group of five! What stands out first and foremost is the restaurant itself. It is beautifully designed with self-painted wall paintings and Japanese decorations. The choice of colors makes it really cozy. Even at the bar! You can really praise the service now, it has improved a lot. It really doesn't take long until the drinks are on the table and the house specialties are always new, super unusual and incredibly tasty! The food itself is very fresh and you can taste that everything was prepared in-house. Also the ramen! But even if you come here for the ramen, you shouldn't miss the appetizers! So it's a great restaurant for a nice evening with ramen soups, as well as for various appetizers as snacks with the homemade drinks at the bar. In addition, you won't miss the fact that paper is not used here, which is of course environmentally friendly when the menu is constantly changing. My conclusion: I would love to come back in the future! Kudos to such a young boss, with such a young team!

We were in the kukku again today. But somehow the taste wasn't as good as the last few times. Something wasn't right with the noodles. I'm sure the pasta used to taste much, much better. We always enjoyed coming because the ramen was always very, very tasty. The ramen is no longer what it used to be, unfortunately.

One of if not the best ramen and gyozas we have ever eaten around the world, including Japan. Good atmosphere, kind stuff, tasty! Umami all around 🤤

My absolute favorite restaurant. I really can't get better food anywhere, the decoration is really nice and the staff is super friendly.

Summary: - Taste ramen - Waiting time from arrival until food is on the table 1:15 hours. - Beer HELL (mountain) 0 foam So unfortunately not really many stars…. The concept and processes simply don't fit.

Kukku has very tasty, flavorful ramen. We have been to this small restaurant several times. The ambience is cozy and nice. The service was very friendly. Since it takes a while until the order is taken and the food finally arrives, it is recommended to book a table for 1.5 hours 🫶🏼 We will be back definitely! ❤️

There is very authentic ramen here that is simply super flavorful. We really enjoy coming here. I can especially recommend the two vegan ramen and my boyfriend really loves the karage. The ambience is beautifully designed, the only disadvantage is that it is very hot in summer as there is no air conditioning.

Yesterday we (2 people) went to Kukku for the first time and had the worst restaurant experience of our lives. I would prefer to give 0 stars. Visually, the little shop isn't that bad. We made a reservation at short notice and got a table straight away. It was immediately noticeable that you sit much higher against the wall and therefore too high in front of the table than on the chairs, which makes eating in this position very uncomfortable. At the beginning you were asked to order almost every minute. We ordered karaage as a starter, which was actually "okay", as were the drinks, but that was completely overshadowed by the catastrophe that followed. There wasn't much choice so we both chose the Tentanmen and it was absolutely inedible - an absolute disaster! The pork broth, which was far too fatty, had a bitter and burnt aroma and was also far too spicy - a pak choi leaf, a normal egg (not a marinated one as stated on the menu), burnt nuts and no trace of onions. The taste of the noodles was barely noticeable, as was the honey, if it was added at all, or any other spices. Unfortunately it was impossible to eat it, so we had to leave our portions alone. The after-effects of the meal made themselves felt with dizziness and stomach aches, it's hard to imagine what would have happened if you had eaten the whole portion! We're just disappointed we even spent any money on it. We have never experienced anything like this and therefore cannot understand the good reviews in any way.

We were here for the first time. Me, my wife and child. I was dissatisfied with the atmosphere of the cafe. Visible dust on the lamp that stood on the table where we eat. Cobwebs in the corners of the walls and on the ceiling. Shabby walls. We took a couple different ramen. The taste is nothing surprising, the noodles are hard and stick to the teeth. We ordered a glass of beer. The glass was dirty. The cost of dishes and advance table reservations - I believe that the taste, service and ambiance should be at the highest level. On the plus side, we prepared a high chair for the child and baby sticks in advance. The staff is good and the service too. There are no complaints about this.

First of all, this place seems to follow a rather strict online reservation policy. So I booked a slot at 5 pm (when it opens) and had a third of the restaurant to myself. (You also have to say if you intend to stay an hour or one and a half.) I was given a specific table still. (Apparently the place is full later on.) Instead of a printed menu I needed to scan a code with my phone to know my options. I ordered three things - a kimchi starter, a vegan ramen option, and a citrus fruit mix with soda called Fuji. The drink was a decent size, had ice cubes, several different pieces of citrus fruit and ginger in soda water, a metal reusable straw, and was... very sweet. Too sweet. I'd say the sweetness came from cane sugar, and I'm sure one can order it to be less sweet. It tasted good. The kimchi came also in a decent sized portion, and the menu advertised it as "spicy cabbage" and it sure was! While not extremely hot, I found it too hot on that particular day. It was also very sour. It had a nice crunch to it. Sometimes kimchi has a sweet note (when it ferments longer, I guess), but this one did not. It really depends on what you expect. It was nicely served and with spring onions on top. Finally, the ramen. I appreciated being asked if I wanted egg since I eat vegetarian, not vegan. I chose the "Teriyaki Austernpilze" (marinated mushrooms) as my topping. It had the 3 miso mix as base, and I tried the soup base and I really liked it! The noodles, however, didn't really taste of anything much, neither their own flavor, nor the stock. (They were advertised as "hausgemacht," so made in-store.) The portion of the noodles was big enough. Given that the main dish cost 15€ by itself, there weren't enough toppings. There were sprouts, "Korean potatoes," the mushrooms, two egg halves, some corn, and a bit of green. I'm not sure if there were two or three Korean potatoes - they were excellent but at their small size, there could have been more. The biggest specimen you can see float atop on my photo. The stripes are the mushrooms. They didn't strike me as particularly teriyaki-flavored. The egg was big. The food itself was visually appealing. One thing I wasn't so happy with were the chopsticks. In keeping with the reusable metal straws and online menu, these were plastic. I'm fine with reusable chopsticks, but these were somehow especially slippery, so eating ramen with them was a bit more challenging. In general, the restaurant had a modern look to it, staff was friendly. Main dishes took quite a bit to arrive, even though there were initially only three customers present. Another oddity is how the check was calculated. The menu said: Kimchi 6€, Miso Ramen 15€, Fuji 7€. That's 28€. I chose the 10% tip option when paying electronically. (Tipping about 10% is customary in Germany.) But I did not pay 30,80€, I paid 32,45€ (which is the amount the electronic payment device showed me, just to be clear). This would mean the base price was 29,50€. I see no disclaimer on the menu for this. Maybe I was charged for the egg? It would come at 1,50€ then, making the vegan ramen with egg 0.5€ more expensive than the non-vegan miso ramen which includes an egg. Unfortunately I did not request a paper receipt (but I was offered one), so I cannot clarify this. All in all, it was decent, with room for improvement.

Excellent experience all around. The Ramen was so delicious! I had the Yuzu and wow, so flavourful. And my kids, 7 and 3, loved it! They had fun making origami while we waited for our food. But what really topped it off was the waitress. She was so sweet and kind and really good with our kids and she was always smiling. We were lucky and got the last 4 seats at the bar, you should definitely make a reservation, it's so popular, and I can see why. It's worth the drive to Ulm. Can't wait to come back.

Update: We gave Kukku Ramen another chance due to the otherwise very good reviews and were very positively surprised! The food is really very tasty and we now really enjoy coming here! Since it's usually very busy you have to wait a little longer for the food, but it's really worth it :) We had a reservation here last night. Although the restaurant wasn't extremely busy, after 20 minutes there we hadn't even received the menu and were otherwise completely ignored. So unfortunately we got up again and left. The waitress was so busy on her cell phone that she didn't even notice... We've never experienced such poor service and we certainly won't be back. It's a shame, we would have really liked to try the food here.

It's worth checking out! But please reserve in advance :) The restaurant is very small but nice. It is comfortably designed and the food was also really tasty... it met my very high expectations. In my opinion, the price is in the middle to upper segment, but this is justifiable given the delicious food. What I find very unfortunate, however, is that the times are very slow. We had to wait 5-10 minutes for the reserved table. Then it took at least 10 minutes until we could order and the starter came quite quickly after 5 minutes. However, we still had to wait about 30 minutes for the main meal. Unfortunately, there wasn't quite as much time left for a relaxed meal or dessert, which was a shame :( The staff is super friendly. However, I would like more attention when empty drinks or when you want to order :) All in all, I can recommend it and would be happy to come back!

Reservation was easy. It's a very chic, simply furnished shop with nice music and nice decorations on the walls and ceiling. Service was nice and the food came relatively quickly. Not exactly cheap but still within reason and it was really delicious. Also suitable for dates.

Since the shop opened, this has been my favorite ramen place in Ulm! <3 The food is very tasty and I always justified the expensive price by saying that it was something special and the quality was just right. However, I was disappointed on my last visits... Sometimes you have to wait a while until a table becomes available even though you had reserved, as the time slots are probably calculated tight. What I also find very unfortunate - since all the employees are super nice - is that when you come in you are initially ignored until you draw attention to yourself. The last few times we had to ask for the menu and call again to be able to order. We sometimes waited over 30 minutes for the food (which is very annoying given the very short time window for which you have the table). Nevertheless, we kept coming back because we love the shop and always wanted to give it another chance, but our last visit was really sobering... After we had to wait 10 minutes for our table (which we had reserved), it was 10 It took minutes until we could order and another 30 until the food was actually there. So we only had about 30 minutes to eat and drink everything (actually a special dinner, which we had been looking forward to for a long time). In order not to cause any trouble, we hardly talked at all, but 20 minutes after we got our food we were asked to "eat up quickly, as the next people are already waiting for the table". It's a shame because I can no longer recommend the restaurant and I'm not sure whether I want to go there again, because you can also get delicious food elsewhere where the overall package is right.

PLEASE READ ENTIRELY We often enjoyed eating there and six months ago it was our favorite restaurant. We've been eating there for the last few days and the quality has dropped massively. 15 minutes after the store opened, when we were already sitting at the table, one starter was apparently no longer available and another three starters were no longer on the menu. Pure disappointment. Furthermore, the waiting time for the main courses was much longer than usual, even though there were relatively few customers. In general, the restaurant has lost a lot of quality and is no longer special for us. Very unfortunate Update: We ate there again today and were kindly invited by the Kukku Ramen team. All dishes were on the menu as usual and my previous review with two stars was not an overall assessment of the quality but more of a snapshot that fortunately was not confirmed. In general, as before, they deserve their 5/5 stars. Thank you

Appetizer and drinks were 10/10. Service was also great, the staff was very friendly. Very nice shop and toilet. Unfortunately the ramen wasn't good. I had the Kara Miso. The noodles were extremely overcooked, which is what I think is the most important thing. The broth was really thick, more like a curry. Meat and eggs were great. I left the ramen after a few bites; it really wasn't good.

The store is completely overwhelmed as soon as more than 8 people show up. I went in alone, waited, wasn't served and came out again. I don't even know if they realized I was there. Despite the actually manageable space, they completely failed to serve me, which was a real shame and I was actually in the mood for ramen

Best ramen in town! The broth is rich. The kim chi is delicious. That was a nice experience. I had so much fun. If you were to sip the soup, it would definitely taste even better! Very nice people there. To all pandas, be sure to go and sip so that sipping becomes normal! P.S.: It tasted so good that I only took a photo of the half-full bowl.

Nice ramen restaurant in the heart of Ulm. Tastes very good. Reservations are strongly recommended in the evening. You can also get the card as a QR code (https://kukku.de/restaurant) in the classic way. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our place. But that will certainly work out, with the time slots that you specify online when reserving. Our room right next to the door was unfortunately very drafty. So as a small compensation, the drinks were on the house. Which was very cool. I'll definitely visit there again when I feel like ramen.

You sit really close to each other. But the food came quickly and was delicious. Unfortunately, the time window is quite short. Due to the tight reservations, people usually haven't left yet and you stand around and have to wait.

A very small restaurant with excellent food. Homemade lemonade was also delicious. I liked the karaage (chicken appetizer) almost better than the very tasty ramen. But you should definitely reserve in advance. In general, however, highly recommended.

Very comfortable, clearly sized with great dishes. The four of us tried out the menu. Short waiting time and great service. Super friendly staff. Will be back soon and often.

We have repeatedly ordered to be picked up. The ramen and karaage are outstanding. I would be happy to come back for food at any time. There are deductions for service and reliability. The food was repeatedly ready much later than agreed. I'm not talking about 5 minutes but repeatedly more than 20 minutes. This makes no sense with small children who are hungry. If the food were ready at the agreed time and the service was more responsive, I would give it 5* stars.

There were 7 of us here today for dinner after making reservations a long time ago. Unfortunately our first and probably last visit was quite disappointing... 1. I can't quite understand why you can reserve a table a maximum of 4 weeks in advance, that's totally unusual and no longer really up to date. 2. When we arrived, our table was still occupied, we were put off here and then had to wait 15 minutes. Waiting in front of the restaurant, if it were up to me we would have gone somewhere else, but we wanted to give it another chance and waited. 3. When we were finally able to go to the restaurant, it was not possible to accommodate 7 seats for us because the restaurant was full. Although I felt sorry for the overwhelmed service here, we had to wait another 5 minutes. wait between the other tables until more guests left the restaurant and new capacity became available. The service didn't really talk to us or send us a positive signal. We stood there as ordered and not picked up. 4. The ramen tasted quite good, we all agreed that the food was undoubtedly good and absolutely recommended. 5. when we had finished eating (at the table, which we only got 20-25 minutes later through no fault of our own) and ordered another drink, we were informed that the table had to be cleared for the next guests - that was Although we were taught as gently as possible, we were still all very irritated, especially since we couldn't help it that the table in front of us was already delayed. At the end we had to point out several times that we would like to pack a dish, the billing didn't work straight away and a drink was also forgotten when we ordered. I'll be honest, I actually felt sorry for the service that evening because it could only make up for all the negative circumstances. Nevertheless, I expect sensible planning from a restaurant with 7 paying guests and reservations made weeks in advance. Unfortunately for us the experience was rather negative, which is why we won't be eating here again. The owner should urgently ensure that such experiences are the exception so that future guests do not have to have similar experiences.

The first point that struck us as negative was that there was very very little space in the restaurant, everyone sat very close together and the music was too loud. We waited forever for our order to be taken, then waited even longer for the food to arrive, and then waited even longer for us to pay. In total we were in the restaurant for over 2 hours, of which we only ate for about 20 minutes. Although the food was good, the whole thing was dragged down by other factors.

Probably the best ramen restaurant I know. The food is incomparably good. I would say it couldn't be more authentic, except in Japan itself. The presentation of the food is simple and the ambience is also simple. The prices are fair. The service is also great. There's nothing wrong with it. This restaurant has become a must visit for me every time I am in Ulm. Can recommend it 100%.

Die Ramen und das Ambiente sind wirklich unschlagbar gut. Das ist auch der Grund, weswegen ich immer wieder hier her komme. Leider hat der Service stark nachgelassen. Oft wird man vergessen oder die Bedienung schaut nur aufs Handy. Wirklich schade für diesen Laden.

Top Service, Weltklasse Ramen, sicher nicht der letzte Besuch

Die Ramen waren sehr lecker und guten Portionen. Fände es jedoch besser wenn auf der Karte angemerkt wäre welche Ramen scharf sind mit einem Symbol oder sonstigem.

Leckeres Essen. Leider 3 x sehr lange Wartezeit (>60min) obwohl andere Gäste welche später kamen früher ihr Essen erhalten haben.

Ich war jetzt schon drei Mal im Kukku Ramen, und muss sagen, dass es mit Abstand das beste Ramen Restaurant in Ulm ist! Die Karte ist ein bisschen verwirrend am Anfang, weil man viele Begriffe nicht ganz versteht, aber man kann egal aus welcher Kategorie man wählt nichts falsch machen. Jedes Gericht hat einen sehr intensiven Umami Geschmack und ist köstlich. Das Ambiente ist ungezwungen und dabei gleichzeitig schick, man kann locker oder gehobener gekleidet kommen und fühlt sich immer wohl :) 10/10 Empfehlung.

Schönes Lokal, bei uns war der Service sehr gut. Die Ramen sind sehr gut und die Vorspeisen auch. Wir kommen gerne wieder und würden das Lokal auch aufjedenfall weiterempfehlen. Wer ne super leckere Ramen essen will, sollte aufjedenfall mal hier zum Essen kommen. Kleiner Tipp von mir: aufjedenfall reservieren, da das Lokal nur 20-30 Sitzplätze hat.
