Today the time had finally come and we got seats for this pizzeria. First of all, Del Tufo is a true gem for lovers of original Neapolitan pizza. The dough is perfectly prepared, the ingredients are fresh, and the taste is a real dream! The pizza is prepared in a traditional way, which brings out the flavors of the ingredients wonderfully. I had a burrata piccante...and...I was blown away...I've never enjoyed such a good pizza. A fitting quote that beautifully captures this enjoyment comes from the famous Italian writer and chef Pellegrino Artusi: “The kitchen is the place where life comes together.” At Del Tufo you can feel this magical connection of people who share the passion for authentic pizza, especially Francesco Del Tufo, the magician of these great pizzas. So if you are looking for an unforgettable taste experience, you must visit Del Tufo. You won't be disappointed! 🍕 Our journey was worth it. We were there about a week ago and were very disappointed. Despite a reservation, we had to wait over an hour for our table and then another few minutes for our food. It was extremely loud, so you could hardly have a conversation and the service was unfortunately bad. It took forever for someone to come, then the things you ordered weren't brought and the service generally lacked any charm or friendliness. Pizza was okay, but we don't understand the hype about having the best pizza. There are still 2 stars for the pizza. I deduct one for the poor service, one for the waiting time and one for the noise. All in all good but we won't be coming back.

Incredibly good pizza and hospitality that comes from the heart... We have rarely felt so welcome in a restaurant... A highlight in Ulm! Definitely try it!

Went there for the first time yesterday. You immediately notice that the pizzeria is hyped on Insta, with a lot of younger guests. Even if it is supposed to be the case that the ambience is originally based on that in Naples, we didn't particularly like it. You sit close to each other, it is very noisy, made even more hectic by the relatively loud music and the constant coming and going (we were sitting pretty close to the entrance). The pizzas are good, but not “out of this world”. The prices are unreasonably high for what is on offer (€11.90 for the cheapest pizza), this also applies to the drinks (0.7 bottle of San Pellegrino €7.50, glass of red wine €8). To top it off, after our return we had a very unfriendly message on the answering machine: Why didn't we keep our reservation? That would be very unfair, etc. Huh??? Conclusion: The hype is incomprehensible. Okay for young people (except for the prices). But if you want to spend a nice evening at an Italian restaurant, there are better addresses.

Super stressful atmosphere. Our birthday reservation with a 2-hour journey was rejected after a lengthy discussion. Never again.

Oh, I could only give it six (or more) stars. I'm 46 years old, which means I've eaten a lot of pizzas all over the world. That was the best. The tiramisu? Excellent. The Lugano? Very good. Price? Totally fine. Ambience? Small (reserve!), cozy, special. The waitress(s) who served us were all very friendly and professional. Conclusion: I'll be back! The only drawback: I don't live in Ulm.

World class pizza! We usually get pizzas to go by pre-ordering. However, the nice atmosphere makes you want to stay. Even when eating in the restaurant you will be well looked after by the friendly service and the very warm owner.

The pizza at Del Tufo is really, really good and definitely recommended. We ate a Pizza Salame and a Pizza Sophia Lauren there and took two Pizza Buffala to take away. Everything was really very good, even the chili oil was delicious. Compared to other top Neapolitan pizza restaurants we have already visited in Rome and Naples, in our opinion Del Tufo can definitely keep up. Really highly recommended & we will definitely come back!

Were at the European Championships on Saturday with 3 people and unfortunately very disappointed! The edges of the pizzas were great, but the inside was quite soggy and the mozzarella wasn't melted and some of it was even cold (and I don't mean the ball in the middle!). A pizza leaked “cold tomato water” when it was cut. I suspect that the pizzas weren't in the oven long enough because of the number of guests. Otherwise the taste was ok, although I have eaten better seasoned pizzas. So for me the hype is not justified. But the highlight was that two out of three people had gastrointestinal problems that night... complete with spitting and diarrhea. Since nothing else was eaten during the day, it can only be because of the pizzas. Conclusion: I cannot recommend the restaurant - and will not visit it again.

Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed with the pizza. There were three of us because the edge of the pizza was very good and the dough tasted good. Unfortunately, the middle part of the pizza was much too moist and therefore just soggy and not good. But that was the case with all three pizzas. For what it was described as the best pizza in Ulm and Württemberg, I have to laugh and think that it's a joke. It's a shame and I won't be visiting this place again and by the way, when it came to paying there were also problems with what we had and it needed a lot long 😪😪

Tastes are different, no doubt. Although they are supposed to be the best pizzas in Baden-Württemberg, I and my friends didn't really like it. The bottom is so soggy when served that you can't cut off a piece and eat it out of your hand. The surface was good, but in my opinion it doesn't justify the very high price. The restaurant itself is mercilessly overcrowded, it is very loud because of the people and the music is played too loudly. Even though there were three of us sitting at a tiny table, conversation was almost impossible. In addition, we were sitting right at the entrance, which meant that the people waiting for a table were almost sitting on our laps and someone was constantly looking at your plate from above, really unpleasant! You are also not allowed to pay at the table, but have to snake your way through the crowded restaurant (which is really very small and narrow) to the cash register to get in line to pay while other guests and waiters try to force their way in between. There will certainly not be a repeat visit for us!

This is definitely one of the best pizzas I've eaten so far (also outside of Germany, mind you). Great dough (Neapolitan style), high-quality ingredients - great taste! There are 5 stars for that. Keep it up!

I've given the restaurant another chance a few times but have been disappointed again. The pizza is really good for the Ulm area, but it doesn't justify all the hype. The starters like the bruschetta are mediocre. The service is very bad, even though we had reserved a specific time we had to wait outside in the rain for up to 30 minutes (normal for the staff) Afterwards, when I was in a larger group in the restaurant, I had to wait almost an hour and a half for the food because only 4 pizzas fit in the oven (that was the unfriendly reason given by the staff). I will certainly not visit this restaurant again.

Everyone has to try Del Tufo’s Pizza. The pizza crust is super fluffy and the ingredients are high quality and always fresh. If you can't find space, the pizza is great to take away. There is a really wide selection of types of pizza that you might not otherwise know, but that will surprise you in a positive way. The friendly service and the warm atmosphere in the restaurant give you a real Napoli feeling in the heart of Ulm

The name of the place says it all! 'True' Neapolitan pizza prepared with all the fundamental ingredients and the care of the Del Tufo family. Passing through Ulm station, I never expected to eat such good and authentic pizza! The place was full but with the kindness of the owner Gennaro, my wife and I managed to find a table. The courtesy and skill of father and son did everything else. Well done!
