I celebrated my birthday here and was absolutely thrilled. Warm welcome, professional planning in advance and on the day itself, everything just fell into place. There was also exclusively positive feedback from my guests. Any time. And simply “just” going out to eat in the future goes without saying.

The staff was friendly. That was the star. Otherwise the atmosphere is that of a clubhouse. We had a carpaccio as a starter. This was a mini portion with no olive oil and little seasoning for 15 euros. There was also dry and hard white bread. For the main course I had porcini mushroom ravioli with truffle oil for 19 euros. Packaging, cooked in water without salt, served with 3 tomatoes and balsamic sauce on a not entirely clean edge. No trace of truffle oil or spices. More than disappointing for the price.

Update, January 2025. Prices have increased significantly in 2024 and portions feel smaller in some cases. Probably the last time the four of us ate there for the time being, or at much greater intervals in the future... October 24, 2024 Went to lunch with a group of four today to celebrate a birthday. Everything fit perfectly here. Very competent, trained service staff. The question is whether everything is satisfactory and whether everything tastes good. Very good, rich and appetizingly prepared food. Completely perfect.

Finally back to our very cozy old moor hut on the north bank of the Steinhuder Meer, we are very happy and the food is, as usual, very delicious, the staff friendly as always. Homely since my childhood, just nice and so cozy.
