Krua Thai Restaurant in Saarbrücken

We had made a reservation for 8 p.m., arrived a few minutes early, were seated, and then we just sat there for some time until someone offered us a menu. Then we ordered and continued waiting. An hour later a small bowl of soup arrived, and another 15 minutes later the main course that was ordered at that time. There are flowers and decorations everywhere, on glasses and next to the food, which looks nice, but if it means that as a guest you have to wait over an hour for the food - maybe you could save a little time when decorating? Or hire additional help in the kitchen? I thought the food was delicious, but unfortunately my frustration with the long wait still prevailed. The service staff hadn't commented on the waiting time at all and so it seemed as if it was just a matter of being patient here as a guest. "Interesting" for the first visit, but not worth a second one.

The good reviews brought us to this restaurant. So we came there with very high expectations. It was busy when we arrived and we had to share a menu, which was ok. After a quarter of an hour someone came to take the drinks and food. We then had to wait another 10 minutes for our drinks. We ordered an appetizer that arrived half an hour after ordering. In my opinion, too long...It was very nicely prepared and tasted really good. The main course was comparatively milder even though we ordered spicy. The ambience is okay, as is the price-performance ratio. A restaurant that I can recommend, you should only expect waiting times on weekends.

A very great restaurant. Delicious and fresh dishes with wonderful floral decorations, the eye eats with you. Friendly staff and great decor. You have the feeling of getting out of everyday life for a little while and taking a short trip to Thailand...👌

“Please don’t come back!” Last Sunday my friend and I reserved a table at this restaurant based on the good reviews. Since we both love Asian cuisine, we were in a good mood. When we walked in there was no one to greet us, so we waited at the bar. And waited and waited and waited... Most of the tables were occupied and the (only) server was busy taking orders from three guests. And that lasted and lasted and lasted... Apparently completely unaware of our presence (a few meters away) there was a detailed conversation between these guests and the server. And we waited and waited and waited... Still left to our own devices, my friend and I finally decided to sit at an empty table for two. This action was noticed by the server because she called out to us to ask if we had made a reservation. After confirming this, she informed us that we had been assigned another table. I replied that I no longer planned to change tables. However, she persisted and my friend and I decided to leave this restaurant altogether. As we went outside, another employee (owner?) suddenly appeared from the kitchen and shouted to us from behind the bar: "Please don't come back!" Given the most inhospitable reception ever inside and outside of Asia, an example of breathtaking audacity and naivety at the same time. I estimate the chance that I will ever come here again of my own free will and without physical coercion to be 0.00%.

After waiting for two hours with only drinks and two portions of fried food, I can’t understand how difficult it is to make these things? Time spent on decorations? ? We are here to eat, not to appreciate your culture. Please fulfill your basic functions as a restaurant first. And after we expressed our long waiting time (90 minutes), the waiter corrected us and said that the time was not yet 90 minutes. Is this the point? Are you in the service industry? Is this a problem-solving attitude? Moreover, there was no menu provided when we came in. We found the menu ourselves and made us wait for a long time after we expressed our wish to order. This is an experience I've never had before in any restaurant in any country I've been to. In short, the summary of this time is wait and wait... arrived here at 19:40, and got the first staple food at 21:46. I suggest you hire more waiters, otherwise the store will not be able to stay open.

We were here for the first time. It was a fantastic experience. Insanely great atmosphere. You feel comfortable and welcome! The food tastes authentic and excellent and the boss is extremely loving and warm and gave us very good advice. Definitely the best Thai restaurant we have been to so far. Total recommendation!

The food was really great but our highlight was the owner. We have rarely felt so welcomed. The service is courteous, attentive and friendly at the same time. Definitely worth a visit. The ambience is very harmonious and all dishes are beautifully decorated

Opening hours from 6 p.m., I stood in front of the closed door for almost 10 minutes. When we opened the door, we were surprised that someone was already at the door, but we were greeted warmly; Too much decoration for my taste, more than I know from Thailand. I find flowers everywhere, even on the wine carafe, worrying, as flowers are usually sprayed. The menu is small, geared more towards Germans, but there is the option to make changes and order more original Thai. Very friendly service, food was delicious

I went there with a recommendation from my mother. From the outside it is a simple, inconspicuous restaurant, but from the inside it is even more beautiful. Very nice, quiet atmosphere. Really very nice staff and very tasty food.

Wonderful little restaurant. The presentation of the food is unparalleled in the area. All the staff are incredibly nice and the food is fantastic. The portion size is great and the level of spiciness can be chosen according to personal taste (be careful of “very spicy”).

The food was very good and the service was very friendly and accommodating. The prices are rather moderate. You should pay more attention to empty glasses and offer fresh drinks accordingly. The tables have simple seating.

Es müsste den Wünschen der Gäste mehr nachgegangen werden, wenn man was ohne eine bestimmte Sache bestellt sollte es so auch serviert werden.

Immer wieder gerne... Unser Stamm Thai in der Oststadt. Hier bist du immer herzlich willkommen und wirst mit einem ehrlichen Lachen empfangen. Die Zitronengras Suppe ist sehr zu empfehlen. Auch die Garnelen in Erdnuss-Soße waren super fein. Und ein leer gegessener Teller sagt mehr als 1000 Worte 😜 Süßer und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Besonders die Deko der Speisen ist meiner Ansicht einmalig. Sidefakts: Nicht barrierefrei. Öffentliche Parkplätze in der Nähe.

Sehr gute Küche, gut bekömmlich, auf der Karte sind die Schärfegrade angegeben und man kann jederzeit nachfragen. Nette Chefin u.nette Bedienung, geschmackvolles Anrichten mit frischen Blumen, macht richtig Lust, hier zu essen. Preise etwas höher, aber das ist aufgrund des zuvor Geschilderten in Ordnung.

Seit so vielen Jahren unverändert die mit großem Abstand beste Thai Küche im Saarland. Authentisches sehr frisches Essen mit aussergewöhnlicher Präsentation und Blumenverzierungen, geschmackvolles Ambiente, die sehr persönliche und perfekte Betreuung machen jeden Besuch zu einem Erlebnis.

Faszinierend süßer Laden, jedes Gericht wurde uns mit extrem schönen Blumen dekoriert, allgemein selbst die Vorspeisen wurden super schön angerichtet und zum Tisch gebracht. War alles einfach super lecker!

Outstanding service and the most exceptional presentation of dishes from the most sympathetic owner I've ever met in the city. The foods can be a bit too salty and/or spicy for your taste though if you're not used to authentic Thai cuisine. Just remember to tell them to reduce the spiciness/saltiness unless you're absolutely confident that you can handle them. Will definitely come back again.

Wollten Essen. Kein Platz für 2 Personen gehabt. Nur reservierte hatten Vorrecht zum Essen. Das war nicht so gut. Besonders für Touristen - wie wir - war das keine tolle Erfahrung.
