It was a tip from a local and we weren't disappointed. The Carlsmari appetizer and the fish platter are especially recommended. Both were fantastic.

It's a great place to sit by the water. But this time I didn't eat well. Some of the fried potatoes were hard and black, and the plaice was extremely unsalted. And that sort of thing has to be spot on. Adding all the salt isn't possible. It's a shame! But next time it will be better.

We had delicious redfish and wild boar goulash. Both were delicious, and the waitress was very friendly and attentive. We sat on the enclosed terrace right by the harbor. The view was very nice. Only the restrooms could use a freshener.

It should make you think when all the dishes at the neighboring tables take no longer than five minutes to prepare. I had an iced cappuccino – which was made from "bag powder" and tasted of nothing. It was nice, even if the additives weren't disclosed – not everyone will find it funny... We don't understand the high ratings in the reviews here and will definitely not be coming back.

The three of us went there for dinner last Sunday and would definitely go back! The restaurant was packed, and we were lucky to get a seat! We all enjoyed our meal. The service was very friendly, and we also loved the location by the harbor!

The reception wasn't exactly friendly; the table we reserved was already occupied, and the guests were then directed to another table. The ambiance was standard. The menu offered a fairly large selection. The waitress was quite annoyed that evening 😒, which is perhaps understandable, but they should be professional enough that the guests don't notice it. The order was taken quickly, and the beer we ordered was very tasty 😋. I ordered the fish platter, and so did my wife. When we approached the waitress again and asked for the fried potatoes to be served without salt, the problem began. The fried potatoes are delivered ready-made, and you have no control over how much salt they add. Boiled potatoes are available as an alternative. Boiled potatoes. When we asked if the potato salad was homemade, we were also told no, it also comes from a bucket. My wife then canceled her order completely. (I should have done the same.) My order was ready within 5 minutes. At the table, the first impression was satisfactory, but the taste suddenly changed. The fried potatoes were briefly pan-fried and quite oily. The fish on the plate was fried eel, which was so tasteless and already overcooked that it had the consistency of rubber. Halibut, zander, and, to top it all off, salmon. The fish listed appeared to be frozen food, not even freshly prepared, but seemingly already under a heat lamp, just waiting to be finally served. The fish was only lukewarm, the surface already dry and very tasteless. When asked if it tasted good, the answer was a prompt, honest NO. Folks, if you want to go out for a good meal, you're absolutely in the wrong place. The bottom line is: If you want to eat well, you'd better look for a suitable restaurant. This is my subjective opinion.

I had plaice fillet with fried potatoes. The fried plaice was already sold out at 12:30 p.m. The food was served after 5 minutes (!!). The plaice fillet was mediocre. I haven't had such bad fried potatoes in years. Floury, unseasoned, mushy. The food was not tasty.

Super fast service. From being shown to our seats to ordering, it took less than five minutes. The drinks arrived quickly, and the food was super light. I had the Baltic Sea plate and was very satisfied. When we're back in Kirchdorf, we'll know where to get light fish. If the weather's good, you should make a reservation.

We've rarely encountered such unfriendly staff. The terrace is beautifully laid out in a long row on the waterfront side, but not fully visible from the outside. A sign asked that the tables not be reoccupied until they had been cleaned, as far as I could tell. When we entered the terrace to check out the back seats, we were very unfriendly. If the notice had been directed at entering, I could understand the reaction. However, the way it happened was completely unacceptable. So anyone looking for a nice place to eat and relax should think twice about visiting. Just like us, two other groups of visitors were turned away in the same breath, and they only shook their heads in response – simply unbelievable.

I don't understand the bad reviews... The service was attentive, friendly, and very quick. The kitchen prepared our three dishes fresh, hot, and delicious within 10-15 minutes, even though the restaurant was full. The prices are great, and the portion sizes are, as mentioned, very generous. 👍🏼 It's perfect for families with small children, as the service is so quick and you can even eat with the kids. A truly wonderful experience. 🤗

The white cabbage salad (in summer) was from a bucket, and the fried potatoes were ready-made. It's not a problem in my opinion, but they should be crispy! When I asked if everything was okay, I mentioned it! The waitress said I should have said that? I actually expect that with fried potatoes! Lots of tourists, lots of food, but unfortunately, I only had one! A shame.

We were greeted by a very unfriendly and incompetent server. Despite a confirmed reservation, it wasn't possible to get a table on the terrace. We then asked for the conservatory to be opened to make the temperature more bearable. The rude response was: "We don't have a key for that!" They weren't interested in having us as guests. I can't comment on the food, it never came to that! The location seems to determine the sales here!

We can't comment on the food. We had reserved a table outside by phone. When we arrived we were assigned a table in the glass-fronted interior area next to the restroom. With temperatures over 30 degrees today, this was close to the sauna. When we asked what was happening to our table outside, we were told that outside reservations are not permitted. As some guests were paying outside, we asked if we could have one of those tables. The answer was that this was not possible either, as we had a reservation. The last straw was when we asked if they could at least open the windows and were told that there were no keys. Terribly poor and more than unfriendly service. We left and will definitely not be coming back.

Yes, definitely...you can eat really well here and, if you want, even party...the staff is really friendly and quick...the food is delicious and you can choose between regular (really decent) and small portions...and there's a beautiful view of the sea. We had dinner here today. I've never eaten such bad asparagus before. Over half of it was so overcooked that I only had mush on my plate. The salmon was quite good, so the meal gets at least 2 stars. The waitress, a young man, wasn't really interested in my information about the asparagus. Otherwise he tried to be nice and friendly, but it wasn't really pleasant service.

Went to Kröning's fish restaurant for lunch today and received a very friendly welcome. Despite or perhaps because of the rain, the restaurant was very busy. We chose the zander fillet with fried potatoes. The dish was very plentiful and, above all, very tasty. The prices are just under 20 EUR and are completely acceptable. If you're slightly hungry, almost all dishes are also available as senior portions. This is particularly commendable.
