Lovely restaurant on the island, serving traditional German cuisine! Everything was perfect for me personally, especially the waiter.

We ate at the estate on our special day—we got married here today. The ambiance is gorgeous and the service excellent. We had a specially set table. The food was simply phenomenal.

We and our dog received a very warm welcome, the service was very friendly and prompt, the fish was delicious, the duck was unfortunately cold but otherwise good. You can also buy homemade jams here. To finish off, we had a hot sea buckthorn with amaretto. Very tasty. We'd love to go back :) Thank you.

I had breakfast at Gutspark Wangern. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The table was beautifully set with a full pot of coffee. A very good selection of cold cuts, cheese, jams, various spreads, cereals, and rolls. You can choose from various freshly prepared egg dishes for breakfast. For €16 per person (as of August 2025), you can't complain at all; I was very satisfied and left full. I'd go again. But you should reserve at least one day in advance.

Very tasty food, friendly service. Beautiful garden. We were seated in the breakfast room for dinner. Since the hotel charges around €200 per night, the rusty radiator grilles should be painted, and the tables could have been cleared for breakfast after we left. (About 10 minutes later.)

Special dishes such as crispy cod, soups and delicate own products such as apple sauce made from Poel island apples are sold, the estate park is lovingly designed with a large koi pond and turtles, great outdoor area and indoor area partly with a beautiful winter garden and a friendly house cat

We really enjoyed everything. The cod was excellently prepared! The outdoor seating is wonderfully quiet. Excellent service rounds everything off; we'll be happy to come back.

We liked it very much. The apartment in the manor house was very comfortable and completely met our expectations. We had booked with half board. In the morning, a hearty breakfast with fresh scrambled eggs if desired. The only point of criticism is that the rolls are probably over-baked. The two-course meal in the evening, based on what the menu offers, is definitely recommended. There are around 12 dishes to choose from. Which I see as rather positive. We would definitely go there again.

The ambience of the inn is right. The kitchen couldn't keep up with the high price level. The duck breast and roulade were boring, the taste was as expected in a tavern. The main courses were all in the upper €20 range. Even in Kühlungsborn and Wismar we got a nicer ambience and higher quality food in this price range. The winter garden with its cold light is reminiscent of a campsite, the front area corresponds to the announced inn

Stopping there spontaneously for lunch was a great decision!! The guest room is a “beer museum”, beer bottles from everywhere :). The service was super friendly!! And then the food... freshly cooked, extremely tasty and lovingly prepared. Everything was just right!!! Very, very good value for money and absolutely recommended. Thank you very much and next time I will bring a bottle of local beer for the collection ;)

Rarely eaten so badly, the products were fresh, but only beans were defrosted and served without any spices, as were fried potatoes without any spices, not even salt. The egg almond breading of the fish was dull and tasteless....however, the fish was very fresh, unfortunately without spices, without a spark of salt...a shame. Thanks for the tip...unfortunately I didn't rate the wonderful restaurants, I'm just catching up...there are such great restaurants...I don't have to go back to Wangern 17

Were there 3 times for breakfast. It was varied and plentiful. In addition to the boiled eggs, there were also scrambled or fried eggs, depending on your preference. Fresh fruit and various yoghurts were also available and all for €16.00 per person.

The restaurant is a bit out of the way, which makes it pleasantly quiet. We were able to reserve a table at short notice and sat outside on the beautifully designed terrace. Dogs are also welcome here. The service was friendly and the order came really quickly. The fish is particularly recommended here - the food tasted excellent. We would love to come back.

Very, very tasty fish restaurant plus meat dishes. Not only does it taste great, but the dishes are also beautifully prepared. Also with a great children's menu. Fast and friendly service. Fantastic atmosphere with a terrace, garden and turtle pond to keep the kids busy ;)

What we liked best was the surroundings - everything was so beautifully laid out with a wonderful garden paradise, a pond with fish and turtles, and the children also had something to look at. The food is also excellent. The apartment is also highly recommended for relaxing because of the quiet location, the sauna and the great restaurant. We'll be back.

I can confidently recommend it, it was harmonious, good home cooking, a koi pond with turtles and a green area to marvel at. The only thing saved on is salad side dishes for margin reasons, unfortunately like everywhere else these days.

Best place on the whole island!

We came here after a tip from a work colleague and Poel specialist... and it was the right decision! Since we were there a little before the main time (just after 1730), we even had a free choice of seats. Everything seemed well-kept and the service was great. The food was very, very tasty and the portion size was very generous. Price and performance were right here! We will probably stop here again on our next visit to Poel.

You feel comfortable here and can enjoy your meal in peace. Great value for money, nice service, very nice atmosphere, everything was very well maintained, we ate outside in the best weather.

Food was good, fried potatoes could have been crispier for my taste, the crispy crust on the cod was delicious, it was a shame only on one side, there was only flour/egg at the bottom and completely soggy. Beans were good, sauce and horseradish too.

We made reservations on the same day. Flexibility of the staff without restrictions (we sat outside at first, but it was too cold, so we went into the beautiful winter garden). Orders were taken quickly and served surprisingly quickly. Food was excellent and special requests were no problem. My personal highlight was the koi pond with the turtles 🐢 😍 Price-performance completely reasonable!

Excellent food in a beautiful floral landscape. We tried different fish dishes and the quality was excellent. Child-friendly staff and reservation requests were taken into account. Possibility to take a walk through the flora. Prices reasonable for the region.

We were there for the second time in a short time and it was perfect for the second time!!! We will definitely come back!!

This evening we went there for dinner again as a family. We would receive very friendly, courteous and attentive service. The food tasted very good and we think there is something for everyone. Yes the price is a little higher but the food, ambience and service is worth every penny. We have been coming for years and would love to come back. It's nice to see the next generation in the restaurant. Thank you for the lovely evening :).

Small and cozy. Beautiful surroundings. A great rock garden with an "enclosure" for turtles and koi fish. A bit inconspicuous and unexpectedly positioned but definitely worth a visit.

The ambience in the winter garden is tastefully decorated. The food, however, is not that good for the price (at least €23 for a warm fish dish). We are here on Poel, not in Kühlungsborn. For 15-18€ I would say: good, you can't complain. But for €28 (captain's plate) I got an excellently fried salmon fillet, two satisfyingly fried (already soggy) fillets of cod and zander and a mini portion of potatoes warmed up in the microwave. From where I know this? Well, firstly the food came almost 10 minutes after ordering, secondly I enjoyed it and thirdly I even heard the microwave strolling around in the kitchen. The service, on the other hand, is very good, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is also part of an estate complex that is very well maintained and stylishly designed. I would like to stay here sometime, but not eat.

Recommended. Just read the reviews... The service was friendly, as usual in the north, not a chatterbox but correct and courteous. The guest rooms are clean and the food is tasty and definitely sufficient. The price is completely ok at 19% VAT. Didn't feel like it was a necessary evil. I'd love to come back.

The food, the goulash, the ribs and the fillets were really great. The hospitality was very friendly. Well, the winter garden could be a little cleaner and the parking lot could be a little wider. The naming is also a bit confusing. But all of that takes away from the food.

We spontaneously went out to dinner for Christmas. The waitress seemed very bored. The starter was completely forgotten. The beef roulade was dry and the filling didn't taste good at all. The Brussels sprouts could still have been cooked. The fish platter was okay. Price performance overpriced. The deep fryer in the guest room was disturbing with the smell of grease and the noise. Because it has been used several times.

War Mega lecker, schönes Ambiente und gutes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis, hat mir auf der Insel am besten geschmeckt.

Ein wunderbarer Ort zum verweilen. Essen (gebrateneScholle und Matjesfilet mitBratkartoffeln) war sehr gut und der Service war spitze.

Wir waren auf einer Hochzeitsfeier dort an einem Montag, trotz der 4 Überraschungsgäste waren sie sehr flexibel und haben den aufkommenen Platzmangel schnell gelöst und haben die Tische und Stühle schnell erweitert. Es gab mehrere Fischplatten, Fleischplatten, Gemüseplatten und diverse Soßen, wir haben selten solch ein gutes Essen zu uns genommen. Wenn es uns wieder mal nach Poel zieht, schauen wir definitiv wieder vorbei.

Da sind nette Leute, es gibt da Leckers essen zum richtigen Preis und alles ist sauber.

Leider war die gepflegten Gartenanlage der Höhepunkt unseres Aufenthalts. Das Essen war nicht so gut wie die Preise erwarten ließen. Der Service war freundlich wirkte aber etwas lustlust. Ein weiteres Mal wird es wohl nicht mehr geben.

Schade, daß wir das Restaurant erst am letzten Abend unseres Aufenthalts auf der Insel entdeckt haben. Egal, wo wir vorher gegessen haben, hier versteht man in der Küche, wie Fisch zubereitet wird. Sehr lecker, sehr frisch. Danke. Leider hat das gesamte Lokal sehr stark nach Frittenfett gerochen, wohl mangels eines anständigen Abluftsystems. Das hat den gesamten Eindruck getrübt, so muss das wirklich heutzutage nicht sein. Die nordisch kühle zurückhaltende Art des Services ist hier auf der Insel wohl üblich, muss man sich also nichts bei denken.

Das Ambiente ist wirklich ansehlich und die Bedienung ist nett. Jedoch musste ich mit Erschrecken feststellen, dass die Preise im Menü vor Ort mittlerweile stark von denen im Menü auf der angegebenen Website abweichen. Das Gericht, "Entenbrust mit Orangenfilets", welches ich wählte, kostet auf der Website 18.90€ und vor Ort lag der Preis bei stattlichen 22.90€. Zudem sah die Haut der Ente zwar gut angebraten aus, jedoch hatte das absolut nichts zu tun mit irgend einer Art von Knusprigkeit. Die Haut war absolut labbrig und das Fleisch war nicht gerade sehr saftig. Zudem war die Menge auch nicht besonders erfüllend. Für die Preise kann ich das Etablissement auf keinem Fall empfehlen.
