Kreuztaler Kutscherhaus in Kreuztal

Reserving a table was very difficult. No answer on the phone. No response to an email. After several attempts, I finally managed to get through to someone, but they were very rude on the phone. We arrived 20 minutes late and were immediately told off for being late. The restaurant was almost empty. There were many free tables. The service was very rude and snippy. The food was good, but the evening was ruined.

We've been there several times in the summer because they have a lovely beer garden. We always enjoy coming back.

Food takes too long, people came 20 minutes after us and had trouble getting food before us.

We went to the Kutscherhaus several times this summer. The food was always delicious. This time we had tarte flambée. The service was perfect and friendly. The ambiance was simply lovely. A great beer garden to linger in.

We were there two weeks ago in the evening for a meeting and wanted to redeem a voucher. Unfortunately, the Coach House isn't what it used to be. The beer garden, where we sat, was completely neglected. Small maple trees are growing everywhere, even in the flowerpots. The gravel is green rather than white, and the seating is crying out for a fresh coat of paint. After ordering our food, it took almost two hours for it to arrive, and in that time we were only able to have two drinks because no one was serving us. The croissant was okay, but the wait was incredibly long. Especially since they swapped fries for fried potatoes. It's a shame that things have turned out this way.

We've been to the Kutscherhaus for the first time in a while. I have to say, it was wonderful! The food was delicious, the portions generous, the atmosphere great, and the service very friendly. Parking is nearby. I highly recommend it!

After more than 25 years, I visited the Kutscherhaus today with my husband, our son and girlfriend, and my grandmother, and what can I say... it was phenomenal... :0)! I immediately felt at home and welcomed as a guest. Rebecca is a super sweet, friendly, and fun server, and her colleague was also super attentive and friendly! The food was delicious; I had tagliatelle with grilled vegetables and plain chicken breast; it was a real feast for the palate! My grandmother's salad, my husband's pizza, and the burgers were also fantastic. The atmosphere was so lovely; we laughed a lot, and it truly reminded me of old times. After several years of visiting the Kutscherhaus beer garden, I was disappointed. The beer garden seemed unkempt; the benches and tables could use a fresh coat of paint. Cushions would also have been helpful! Overall, everything seemed a bit run-down. A shame, such a great place for outdoor dining. At first, in the early evening, the service was able to handle the 10 guests sitting there well, but later, with double the number of guests, that was no longer the case. We, as well as other guests, had to wait almost an hour for a second drink order. Sales could easily be increased in this regard. The service was friendly, but seemed completely overwhelmed by the larger number of guests. The cheeseburger was okay, the pizza was terrible. It's a shame, we won't be returning!

A rustic restaurant with good value and a quaint atmosphere. Together with other historic villas and outbuildings, they form a beautiful ensemble in a small, listed park in the center of Kreuztal. A visit is definitely worth it!

Superb schnitzel. Beautifully souffléd breading, something you rarely find. Therefore, the Wiener schnitzel isn't a "poor thing" either. ;-) Sometimes, even on weekends, they're a private event. It's best to call and inquire before visiting.

Nice ambiance, but the employees make it too obvious that they hate their jobs.

We went there for dinner with friends. We didn't have a table reservation, but we arrived quite early. The reception was probably a bit frosty because of that. Our colleague was much friendlier afterward. The food was good and tasty, and served quite quickly. The ambiance is bright and friendly.

Long story short. What good is good food, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere if the boss treats you like dirt? My wife and I have been coming here regularly for years, at least twice a month. We're definitely not the kind of people who need the red carpet rolled out for them and want to be flattered, but a minimum of courtesy is probably not too much to ask. Today I was here alone and was seated in the back corner, even though the other tables were free. No hello, no goodbye! That was it.

Why aren't emails being answered? And no one answers the phone either???

With the voucher book, both can only order the same thing: pasta, pizza, or salad. For example, one person can order pizza and the other pasta. That's not possible. The salad and shrimp were probably convenience foods from the supermarket. And other dishes from the menu aren't acceptable either. That's really stupid, and it's not even mentioned in the book. It's a shame.

Unfamiliar with the area, we were looking for a nice place to have something to eat and drink, and we struck gold. We and our dog were warmly welcomed. The food was simply fantastic. The atmosphere is very cozy, and the location is fantastic. Special mention goes to the two "girls" who served us on May 17th: super friendly and accommodating!

Staff a bit slow and my meat in my salad was tough as a shoe sole. Since others have eaten something better, three stars. Visited you again after a while, the meat was tough, the salad was mushy and unappealing. We're never coming back. Goal achieved.

Cool location, delicious food, friendly service!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Kreuztaler Kutscherhaus restaurant, which impresses with both its elegant atmosphere and fast and friendly service. The chairs were comfortable and the overall ambiance had an upscale feel. The service was remarkable. The staff were quick and attentive and we were regularly asked if everything was to our satisfaction. We tried the pizza proscutto and the Kutscherhaus grill plate. Both dishes looked appealing but were a little too salty. Nonetheless, the quality of the food was high and the presentation was first class. The prices are rather high, but quite reasonable given the quality of the food. What's particularly positive is that dogs seem to be allowed, which is certainly a plus for animal lovers. Overall, a recommended restaurant that is worth a visit if you value good food and excellent service.

A nice, somewhat hidden place to spend some time in a special atmosphere. Food is delicious and available at a fair price. I chose the grill plate, my wife took a salami pizza. Portion was decent and tasty. Staff is friendly and attentive. The waiting time is limited. Sanitary is clean and tidy, but the toilets are a bit narrow. Conclusion: Thank you! I will recommend you and would be happy to come back.

The Kutscherhaus in Kreuztal offers good quality food at fair prices. The dishes were fresh and tastefully prepared – definitely a highlight! Unfortunately, the service was a bit hesitant and the service could be a bit quicker. Overall, a good restaurant that I can recommend if you value high-quality food and have a little patience.

Ate super delicious Jägerschnitzel and tarte flambée and drank delicious cocktails. The two waitresses were very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommended!

That was the first and last time we ate in the coach house. The food was okay (except for the fried potatoes, which were almost completely burnt), but the waiting time and the staff were catastrophic. After we asked for over an hour when we would get the food, there was only one cheeky comment from the waitress, who said that it was perfectly fine to wait 1 HOUR for the food since they are not a McDonald's !!! In addition, according to the waiter, the waiting time in all other restaurants is no shorter. It's also important to mention that there weren't that many people there at the time. Otherwise it would definitely have taken much longer. The people at the table next to us also waited forever... Apparently a waiting time of 1-2 hours is completely normal in the coach house! Unfortunately there was no compensation or a normal apology. It's unbelievable how rude the staff was...

We recently ordered a pizza from this restaurant, which the manager told us wasn't available to take away, so we sat outside in the beer garden. After waiting for 20 minutes, we were noticed and our order was taken. We had ordered a pizza that my husband and I wanted to share. After another 50 minutes we could hardly believe our eyes when we noticed that the pizza looked and tasted exactly like the one you can buy in any discount store. The cheese was totally dry and hard, the dough was too crispy and almost burnt. We complained to the waitress who swore the pizza was freshly made. Unfortunately, no one responded to our complaint and we didn't get anything other than a :It can't be. The service was very unfriendly and the prices were definitely too high for a frozen pizza that I get at a discount store for €3. Never again!

We went to the Kutscherhaus for dinner today and were unfortunately very shocked by the service. A chicken burger was ordered and an Italian burger arrived. We immediately realized that we had made a mistake, but had to get the wrong burger because the waitress said she didn't have another one ready right now. An offer to imitate the real burger was not the case. When paying, we discussed the matter again and were very harshly rejected. It wasn't about getting a free meal in any way, but there was no small apology for this oversight & the behavior that followed. What a shame! The basic food was tasty, but only lukewarm. A great beer garden still invites you to spend some nice hours. Maybe soon with friendly staff.

Food top. There was original Viennese veal schnitzel. Perfect for €21.90. The goulash soup was also great. Service was also on point. We sat outside in the beer garden, which is really nice. The only drawback is that not all benches have leans. It doesn't look so nice and it's stupid when one half of the group leans and the other half doesn't.

We wanted to take advantage of the so-called schnitzel day. The “Schnitzel Day” on which every schnitzel dish is supposed to be available for €13.90 is of course FAKE. If something like that is advertised, the Wiener Schnitzel should not be excluded. Veal is a little more expensive, but strangely enough, other restaurateurs can offer it cheaper and taste very good. Plan B would be that “Wiener Schnitzel” is included on the manageable schnitzel menu. So be it. Jägerschnitzel and pepper cream schnitzel including fries and a side salad tasted good, the waiting time and the price-performance ratio (because schnitzels are cheaper on Wednesdays) were good. There are enough free parking spaces in the area

We had the Wiener Schnitzel and the salad with shrimps. The schnitzel was very, very tasty. When it came to the salad, you noticed that most of the ingredients were bought. The shrimp were also the pre-packaged ones from the supermarket. But everything tasted good overall. Service was very friendly and asked questions often enough. Ambience is very nice. We were there recently. If the weather is good, sit outside, have a drink and eat... or so we thought. It started with us spending a good hour waiting for our food. When we brought this up after 55 minutes, they said “you already had a starter”.. that was 2 small pizza rolls per person, so there you go. The church should have been left in the village. By the way, it should be mentioned that hardly anyone got the food and some were already wondering whether it would be any more. Suddenly the food arrived. To this day we don't know what happened to the fries. Whether they came from the Stone Age, were out of date and were also dried... in any case, they were rock hard. The schnitzel was half full of tendons and somehow full of oil. I then ate the other half, which was “okay”. Which, as it turned out in the end, I would rather not have done. In any case, after waiting almost an hour and “eating” for 2 minutes, we wanted the bill. Of course this came in full. We noted that we would not/don't want to pay in full for the inedible food. Then the unfriendly boss came and asked what the problem was. She obviously found the rock-hard fries normal and also didn't believe that the schnitzel was full of tendons, since "they pound every single schnitzel themselves." Yes, good, but they couldn't look into the schnitzel. During the embarrassing and really pointless discussion, two other guests turned to us and made the following comment: “To be honest, the fries are inedible.” The boss obviously didn't care about this opinion either. She firmly insisted and often mentioned that the bill had to be paid in full and that was probably the only important thing for her, rather than the well-being of her guests and the reputation of this “restaurant”. As we were leaving we spoke to another 4 people who completely agreed with us. These were also there for the first and last time. I have to say that it was the first time I had something like this in a restaurant. If something doesn't fit 100%, that's completely okay. But if it doesn't seem to matter, then I have no understanding. Absolute impudence. It is also important to mention that there were no apologetic words whatsoever.

Yes, we had to wait 30 minutes for our food in the beer garden with two small grandchildren. But that wasn't a problem at all because the "granddaughter of Speedy Gonzales" very kindly pointed this out to us before we ordered. The time was perfectly bridged by good drinks service.

Das Essen war gut, leider durften wir uns nicht als Paar an einen der freien Tische für 2 Personen am Fenster, trotz mehrmaliger Bitte setzen, sondern bekamen einen Tisch für 4 Personen zugewiesen. Die Gäste nach uns bekamen unseren gewünschten Platz und der andere freie Tisch am Fenster für 2 Personen blieb nachdem wir das Lokal verlassen haben immer noch unbesetzt. Wir haben uns sehr darüber geärgert.

Large parking lot about 100 meters away. The food was very tasty. If you have 10 or more people, you can order the food in advance so that you don't have to wait so long. I would always reserve a table. All the employees are totally friendly and helpful.

Great food and friendly service

Musik, leider hörte man nur Bässe. Besser leiser stellen ohne Bassgehämmer. Wenn man in einer der Akustikecken sitzt ist es schon etwas nervig bei der 6 Leute Unterhaltung. So nun zum Essen. Pfefferschnitzel OK. Sehr viel grüne Pfefferkörner. Pommes viel zu sehr salzig.

Wir waren gestern Abend als Paar im Kutscherhaus gewesen und waren zufrieden. Die Bedienungen sind sehr freundlich, uns wurden direkt Speisekarten gereicht. Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist eine Mischung aus modern und rustikal. Die Karte, welche man sich auch vorher auf der Website anschauen kann, hat für jede Speisenkategorie 4-5 Gerichte zur Auswahl. Völlig ausreichend. Als Vorspeisen hatten wir 2 Suppen (Siegerländer Kartoffelsuppe mit Mettwürstchen und eine Tomatensuppe), diese uns sehr warm an den Tisch gereicht wurden. Die kleinen Brötchen als Beilage fanden wir sehr lecker, man merkte, dass diese selbst gebacken wurden. Der Teig hatte ausreichend Salz drin. Leider hatte die Tomatensuppe einen Geschmacksverstärker o.Ä. drin (vermuten wir). Von unseren Hauptgerichten (beides Grillteller mit Hähnchenbrust, Schweinefilet und kleinem Rumpsteak mit Pommes) waren wir sehr begeistert. Alle Fleischstücke waren auf den Punkt gegart, die Pommes waren knusprig und gut gewürzt. Die Anrichteweise von unseren Vor- und Hauptspeisen hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die beiden Bedienungen kamen regelmäßig zu unserem Tisch, leider war das Bier von meinem Partner für 20 min. leer gewesen, da hätte ruhig jemand kurz kommen können. Kann passieren… Die Preise für das Essen und die Getränke (jeweils 2) für 82€ (2 Personen) sind vollkommen in Ordnung. Wir fanden es gut und kommen gerne wieder!

Nicht so schlecht wie hier geschrieben wird. Nette Bedienungen auch aufmerksam waren die Mädels. 👌 Und wie in den Wald schreit so kommt es wieder. Sollte man sich merken.

Cooles und gemütliches Ambiente im alten Kutscherhaus. Das Team war sehr freundlich und wirklich schnell. Auch das Essen ist super lecker und frisch (auch für mich als Vegetarier eine gute Auswahl). Es hat keine 20 Minuten gedauert bis das Essen serviert wurde. Das ganze zusammen mit dem leckeren Bier. Eine Perfekte Mischung für einen entspannten Abend mit chilliger Musik. Kann Ich nur empfehlen.

Ich liebe das Kutscherhaus, ehal ob ein Cocktail, ein frisches Bier, warme Speisen ist es ein fantastisches Restaurant mit kompetentem und sehr sympathischem Team. Sie haben sogar vegane Speisen, was mich besonders Freut. Drinnen und Draussen schön zum sitzen und gepflegtes Ambiente.

Wir haben einen rundum gelungenen und gemütlichen Sonntagnachmittag dort verbracht: Die beiden Damen, welche uns bedienten, waren sehr freundlich. Die Hauptgerichte sowie die Nachspeisen waren sehr lecker. Zudem sind die Preise m.E. wirklich fair. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Super leckeres Essen, allerdings hat unser Sohn ein paniertes Schnitzel ohne Sosse, mit Kroketten anstatt Pommes bestellt. Abgerechnet wurde ein Jägerschnitzel +2,50€ für den Beilagenwechsel. Mein Mann bestellte 2 x Mayonnaise, bekam stattdessen Mayonnaise und Ketchup, welches wir extra bezahlen mussten plus einer weiteren Mayo, welche ebenfalls extra berechnet wurde. Ansonsten war es wirklich schön und sehr lecker

Wir waren lange nicht mehr dort, weil der Service eine einzige Katastrophe war. Heut nochmal getestet und was soll ich sagen: Super! Sehr schnell und freundlich bedient worden, die Getränke kamen zügig, ebenso das Essen. War sehr lecker. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!! 😃

War eine einzige Katastrophe. Die erste Bedienung war nett und freundlich und brachte uns die Karten so das wir dann auch recht zügig die Getränke bestellen konnten. Diese kamen dann auch in einem angemessenem Zeitrahmen. Dann kam der Break, Bedienung wechselte und man merkte schon gleich an den etwas entglittenen Gesichtszügen das Sie nicht den besten Tag hatte. Nachdem wir dann unsere Essensbestellung abgegeben hatten kam die harsche Ansage das es ein wenig länger dauern könnte. Erstaunlich da es eigentlich nicht sehr voll war. Bei der Essensbestellung wollte ich meinen Beilagensalat gerne mit Essig und Öl haben. Das wäre nicht möglich, sie hätten nur eine Beerenvinegrette. Erstaunlich das in der Küche kein Essig und Öl vorhanden sei. Zwischenzeitlich die zweite Getränkebestellung aufgegeben, was soll man auch machen wenn man 1 3/4 Stunde auf das Essen wartet. Leider kamen die bestellten Weizen (mit und ohne Alkohol) beide in Gläsern mit alkoholfreiem Emblem einer bekannten Biermarke aus der Nachbarschaft. Hier lag dann eine Verwechslung vor, so daß ich zuerst das alkoholisierte Bier vor mir hatte. Auf Nachfrage wurde dann noch einmal gewechselt und ich hatte dann das alkolfreie Bier. Das wäre ein sehr teures Taxi geworden, 30km Heimweg, 50km zur Arbeit und dann noch einmal 70km um meinen PKW wieder abzuholen. Wie schon geschrieben kam dann 1 3/4 Stunde nach der Bestellung das Essen. Am Essen war nichts auszusetzen, es schmeckte sehr gut. Aber bei einer Beilage erwarte ich das sie ihrem Namen Sättigungsbeilage dann auch Ehre macht und ich mit denn dazu gelegten Pommes nicht mit sehr viel Mühe eine digitale zweistellige Zahl (88) erstellen kann. Ja ich weiß mit Essen spielt man nicht, aber hier war der spielerische Rahmen sehr überschaubar aufgrund der sparsamen Beilage. Ich bin mir durchaus bewusst das wir in der Gastro schwere Zeiten hatten und haben, erst Corona, dann der Ukrainekrieg, die Inflation, Personalprobleme usw., aber bei den Preisen kann man schon etwas mehr Performance erwarten. Ich weiß aus Erfahrung das es hier auch schon einmal besser ging. Wie gesagt um 18 Uhr gekommen, 20:30 das Essen bekommen. Für Berufstätige Personen mit einem am nächsten Tag um 3:30 beginnenden Arbeitstag ist da dann wohl die Alternative entweder die Bestellung schon gegen 16 Uhr telefonisch aufzugeben oder gleich zu den Essensdiscountern zu gehen. Vermutlich werde ich es noch einmal probieren, unter der Voraussetzung das ich am nächsten Tag frei habe.

Was ist denn hier los? Es war feinst immer nett, aber heute….: Auf das Essen mussten wir zwei Stunden (!) warten, als was kam, war es teilweise kalt, teilweise falsch und/oder komplett fehlend. Servicekräfte mit muffeligem Blick und nicht um gute Stimmung bemüht. So grottenschlecht habe ich das Kutscherhaus früher nie erlebt!

Essen war OK und ansonsten war es dort ganz nett. Die Räumlichkeiten sind ansprechend und der Service machte einen guten Job

Wir haben das Kutscherhaus als Location für die Hochzeit genutzt. Absolut empfehlenswert! Super cooles und nettes Personal!

Der Service ist top, wenn die Chefin den selbst macht. Enttäuschend war, das man kurz nach 20 Uhr kein Essen mehr bestellen konnte, da die Bedienung die Küche schon für geschlossen erklärte, schade eigentlich.

Ich war mit meiner Freundin dort.wir haben lecker gegessen und getrunken. Lange warten mussten wir nicht. Mit Hund ist man dort immer willkommen (man bekommt direkt nen napf wasser)....netter Service und mega Ambiente

Wir waren mit 9 Personen vor Ort , Speisekarte sehr mager , kein Gericht für Kinder und sonst auch fast nur wildgerichte. Das einzigeSchnitzel( Kalb) war sehnig und die Panade einfach ekelig Fischig. Personal war nett aber eher mit trinken an der Bar beschäftigt. Nie wieder zumindest an Feiertagen .

Ich bin spontan dort Essen gegangen und fand es top! Die Räumlichkeiten in einem Denkmalgeschützten Haus sind sehr schön hergerichtet und die Theke mit der schönen Beleuchtung hat mir sehr gefallen. Das Servicepersonal war immer sehr freundlich und man musste nicht lange Warten. Das Essen war auch sehr lecker und das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis hat gepasst. Kann es also nur jedem Empfehlen.

Nice beer garden, met with friends for drinks and food. Good beer, I had asparagus with Serrano and sauce hollandaise (had better sauce) but good. Friends had xxl burgers which looked dry but had a big slab of meat. Service was ok, sometimes you had to track her down.
