We were a group of four and ate there. The restaurant was completely full, but our food and drinks arrived quickly. The waitresses were incredibly nice and friendly. The food was hot and made with fresh ingredients. A definite recommendation from all of us! 👍🏻

We were a large group at the restaurant. The menu is very varied, and the prices are reasonable. The wait time was good, and the service was very, very friendly. Everyone was happy with their food. My pizza was one of the best I've had in a long time.

It's been a good week since we ate here with friends. The food was good, nothing to complain about. However, the fact that the prices in the restaurant are about 20 to 25% higher than those on the online menu is unacceptable. Considering that I alerted the owner the very next day, but the online menu still hasn't been updated, there seems to be some sort of system behind this, to put it diplomatically. This will be my last visit here.

The food was a straight A. Service was also great 👍 But: The online menu shows significantly different prices than in the restaurant. Steak 32.80, in the restaurant 38.80. And so on... when asked about it, they said, yes, a guest had already said that. But they couldn't change the website. It would have been nice, though, to accommodate us a little. Maybe with a voucher for dessert, something like that. But I really don't think this is right.

Well, I'm still at a loss for words. I would have expected a stone-baked pizza from an Italian restaurant. But a pan-fried pizza like Döner Ali's?? Even the fresh peppers wouldn't help... Of course, the usual greeting from the kitchen was missing, and the wait times, which were truly borderline, only added to the problem... The service was averagely friendly and seemed very disorganized. Customers' questions/requests were ignored. Since the pizza was in no way better than the usual Döner Ali pizzas, the prices are extremely inflated... Once and never again... Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant...

We had dinner at Backes last night with five people. The food and service were beyond excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant. 👍👍👍

The food is excellent; if you want to eat in the restaurant, you'll have to wait! The staff is friendly and helpful, so feel free to have an extra beer and be rewarded with your meal!

The food isn't particularly good, but it's also very expensive for what you get. It's a real shame when you offer such an extensive menu with daily specials like chanterelle mushrooms or salmon and shrimp, and it has to be presented accordingly, especially at prices around €20. It's a real shame; we were really looking forward to it. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating, though, and the ambiance is okay. A shame, a shame, a shame.

It is the best restaurant, the best cuisine, and the staff are very good, everything is very nice.

The pick-up tuna salad was outrageous. If I'd seen it in the bag at the store, I would have returned it. 3 lettuce leaves, 4 olives, and 1 tomato for €13.90.

Very tasty, very friendly, everything was perfect!! See you soon! Our first visit since the coronavirus pandemic! The hygiene regulations were superbly implemented. With excellent food and friendly, attentive service, we felt very well looked after. The salad was wonderfully seasoned and beautifully presented. Everything was excellent, and we'll be back regularly. Because of my diabetes, I'm often dependent on salads, and all the varieties are fantastic! Keep it up!

Newly renovated and under new management. The food was delicious, and some fresh ideas were surprising. The only thing that could be improved is the service. By the end of the evening, we were thirsty; the girls were simply not very organized. But since you grow with your tasks, I'm happy to recommend the restaurant. The prices are reasonable and the portions are really good. The pizzeria has now earned all its stars. Truly delicious and highly recommended. At Em Backes, you feel like you're in Italy. The food is delicious, the wines are fantastic. The ambiance invites you to linger. I'll be happy to return here again and again.

The food at Easter was simply unique. The other food we also picked up was simply unique and full of flavor and everything else was just great. Easy to recommend...

Last week I ordered a margarita pizza that was so disgusting I couldn't finish it

We were truly speechless about what happened to us in this restaurant. At first everything looked promising - the starter was delicious and we were looking forward to our main courses. But then the evening took an unexpected turn. After a long wait of about 50 minutes, we gradually received our pizzas. When my wife and I got ours, I immediately noticed: My pizza was cold - not lukewarm, but really cold. I spoke to the waitress, who confirmed it and took my pizza to the kitchen to check. A little later a second waitress came with my “new” pizza. But instead of a fresh pizza, I was simply served the old, warmed-up version - and to top it off, the previously checked piece, touched by several hands, was lying in the middle of my pizza! That was absolutely unacceptable to me. After about 5 minutes of deliberation by the waitress, I was offered a completely new pizza, but my appetite was gone. Who knows what will happen next and be on my pizza. Conclusion: The quality of the food was disappointing, but even worse was the handling of a legitimate complaint. That's not how you treat guests. Unfortunately not a recommendation!

The restaurant and furnishings are old-fashioned but still comfortable. Food great and service impeccable.

Nice cozy restaurant. The service is good. The food tastes super delicious. The restaurant can be easily reached by public transport and parking spaces can be found directly at the house and in the immediate vicinity.

I was eating with my family and the dishes in the "restaurant" were a disgrace. Unfortunately I have to give it one star, I would rather not give one. I had a schnitzel "Viennese style" which turned out to be... I don't know what it was, but not what I ordered. The "schnitzel" came out of a packaging, wherever it came from - not worth €5... Also the prices... crazy and outrageous. I can't recommend it to anyone. I advise the chef to take a cooking course. If you are unable to prepare a Viennese-style schnitzel, you may want to consider closing your restaurant.

A well-known restaurant in the Ferndorf district of Kreuztal for decades. Now the gastronomy has increased in quality thanks to a new Italian restaurant. The asparagus dish (lots of asparagus) with cooked and raw Parma ham, fried small potatoes, was just great. He can prepare the dishes from the menu to taste excellent. I also enjoyed the Carbonara spagetti, Italian style, and the rump steak. The man has a future in Kreuztal's gastronomy.

The prices have exploded - €5.20 for a non-alcoholic Krombacher Hefeweizen is definitely too much!

Fair prices, very tasty and huge portions (especially for schnitzels) I am very satisfied!

We got chicken breast in Gorgonzola sauce with fried potatoes. Well prepared, meat to perfection, fried potatoes as they should be. Prices are okay. The service was super nice and attentive.

Ate schnitzel 4 times, everything was great. Team friendly, prices fair. It's nice that Ferndorf has a good restaurant with a nice team again. Come again.

Super lecker super freundlich das Essen ist frisch zubereitet und es ist alles sauber dort sehr zu empfehlen

Hier gehe ich gerne hin. Es ist immer gemütlich und das Essen lecker. Im Biergarten ist es auch für Raucher angenehm, da man nach dem Essen seine Zigarette in Ruhe im Sitzen und mit seinem Getränk genießen kann.

Gehen schon länger dahin und es war immer super ! Sehr zu empfehlen !

Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Guten Sitzplatz bekommen, sehr gemütlich. Mein Mann hatte das Spargel Schnitzel und ich das Jäger Schnitzel. Sehr lecker Ordentliche Portion. Super schnelle freundliche Bedienung durch Zufall entdeckt am Tor der Welt. Vielen Dank.

Absolut leckeres Essen. Freundlicher Service. Etwas längere Wartezeiten. Das nimmt man aber gern in Kauf für das tolle Essen.

Sehr lecker würden auch gerne wieder kommen nur am Ende zum bezahlen wie in einer Pinte zur Kasse kommen und sich an zu stellen um zu bezahlen ist nicht so gelungen

Gemütliches Restaurant mit leckerem Essen! Wir hatten ein Bolognese-Schnitzel (vom Huhn) und einen gegrilltes Hähnchenbrustfilet mit Gemüse. Beides mit Salat und Bratkartoffeln bestellt. Preislich war es in Ordnung, aber es hat relativ lange gedauert, bis das Essen kam. War zwar auch noch im Rahmen, aber mit Kohldampf kam uns die Wartezeit noch wesentlich länger vor. ;-) Leider war die Azubine im Service natürlich noch nicht ganz so erfahren, aber sehr freundlich und engagiert. Das wird schon! Alles in allem auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert, wir kommen gerne wieder! :-)

Das Essen war super und auch der Preis stimmt. Allerdings war die Bedienung alleine und überfordert. Wenn man mal endlich etwas zu trinken bestellen konnte, musste man wiederum ewig auf sein Getränk warten. Also, es wäre wirklich schön gewesen, wenn man zum Essen auch ein Getränk gehabt hätte.

Ein Gemütliches Restaurant mit Italienischer und Deutscher Küche. Wir haben dort die 104 und eine Geflügelsteak probiert. Die Soßen waren etwas zu Stark gewürzt. Ansonsten war es Lecker, die Portionen sind sehr Üppig und die Bratkartoffeln sind sehr zu Empfehlen. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist stimmig. Wir waren unter der Woche dort mit Reservierung. Ohne Reservierung sollte man auch einen Tisch bekommen. Zum Ausprobieren eine Empfehlung meinerseits.

Hatte ein Krombacherschnitzel sehr lecker,eine dunkle Malzsoße gut gewürzt. Der Service schnell, gut , Klasse. Weiter so

War Gestern das 1. Mal Seit Jahren wieder dort . Wir waren eine Gruppe von 15 Personen . Es war alles Super . Essen und Service perfekt . Vorallem die Hausegemachte Tiramisu war Super lecker . Trotz vollem Haus immer Freundlich und sehr Nett .
