I was here for the first time today. I had Adana kebab, and I've never had anything as delicious as this in all of Hamburg. Ibrahim, the waiter, is a super friendly man who pays attention to everything; you just feel at home here. Truly authentic cuisine, and the meat is cooked on a real charcoal grill, not like at other places where the grill is heated by gas. If you really want good food, you should come here. We'll definitely be coming here regularly from now on. Thanks, Ibrahim, for the friendly service :)

The food was excellent, especially the service. Kudos to everyone from the butcher to the chef and the service staff. Ibrahim is a fantastic person, beautiful, energetic, and has excellent communication skills. We were very pleased and will recommend him to our friends. I don't know how much Ibrahim makes, but give him a raise. He's excellent, he'll bring in customers.

I ordered a grilled mix of various meats. Everything was very tasty, grilled on a real grill, not an electric one. I recommend it.

The best thin steak in Hamburg. Very good meat, both chicken and veal, both of good quality. It's not cheap, but it's worth it to me.

It's very important that it's open late into the night, which is quite good considering that restaurants generally close early in Germany. The refreshments, including tea, çiğ köfte (raw meatballs), and dessert, are definitely recommended for special occasions. Service is fast, and the waiters are friendly.

I ate a doner kebab which was expensive at 9 euros but the meat was very good. I just didn't like how it was prepared. In North Rhine-Westphalia we're used to the meat going in first, then the sauces and then the salad. Here it was the other way around, so I ate the meat on top and then the salad.

I ate at this restaurant and my service was not good, so I complained to the waiter and his chef, but the manager made the mistake. To avoid this restaurant, there are better restaurants. A sloppy dinner that cost me €58 and gave me a bad digestive tract. I ate at this restaurant and was served spoiled wheat that smelled. Despite my complaints to the waiter and the chef, no one cared. This restaurant is to be avoided at all costs! There are many better alternatives. We were at the restaurant today and unfortunately had a very mixed experience. First, the older waiter, Mehmet, served us, and unfortunately, he was anything but friendly. He was very, very rude. If I were the boss, I would have fired him immediately. He said right from the start that we weren't allowed to sit upstairs, simply because he "didn't feel like it." Then he brought us dirty cutlery. When I wanted to return it, he simply snatched it right out of my hand without a word, very disrespectfully. It was really unpleasant. Instead of my Coke Zero, I got still water and ayran. I returned it, of course, but after that, I had to wait a long time for my drink. Luckily, little Mehmet took over. He was super friendly, attentive, and really nice. We stayed just because of him. Without him, we would have left. Thanks to little Mehmet for the great service, but the start by the other waiter was unfortunately very disappointing.

We discovered it by chance and immediately became our regular. Clean place, friendly service, and first-class food. Unfortunately, you can't try the entire menu in two days. But we'll be back and happily eat our way through it. The price is absolutely reasonable!

We were two women traveling to Copenhagen and had to transfer buses along the way. In Hamburg, we had to wait for our next bus from 12:15 AM until 2:30 AM. The bus station was closed, it was cold and dark outside, and the atmosphere at night felt quite scary. Fortunately, we found a nearby restaurant called Köz Ocakbaşı, which was open until 5 AM. We went there to warm up, have some food, and rest a bit. The food was incredibly delicious and reasonably priced. The manager of the restaurant was a truly kind person. Understanding our situation, he and all the staff welcomed us warmly. We were deeply touched by their hospitality. We sincerely wish this restaurant continued success and prosperity. After our little Hamburg tour, we ate here today based on a recommendation online. The service was friendly and open, the food was delicious and the price was completely reasonable.

Depending on which piece of meat you bit into, the food fluctuated between 'hot like hell' and completely tasteless. The service responded very well and quickly to the guests' wishes.

Actually, the food was great, the gentlemen who served us were very friendly, but all the cutlery and plates were taken away after we hadn't even eaten the last piece. Constantly being disturbed at the table while eating and having to put something away, something like that is unpleasant.

The food was very tasty, but one star was deducted because I noticed that the staff was very arrogant and annoyed when dealing with the young employee. You have to train new staff and not expect them to know everything straight away. And I think it makes the young employee uncomfortable to be treated like that in front of customers, it's unprofessional. And I have to say that the young employee was very attentive and asked with a smile whether everything was OK with us. 👍

If I were to die of starvation in Hamburg, I would never visit again.

Cold kebab meat. Fries cold. Ask for warm fries; they just put some warm ones on top of the cold ones 😂🤞. On the second hint, warm fries came. Paid 20 euros for a kebab plate with ayran. Not recommended, this kebab.

Nøj hvor var det bare lækkert at opleve dette høje niveau af service for slet ikke at tale om maden. Fik en delikat “vorspeisen” som nærmest gjorde mig mæt. Fantastic!!!! On my last visit to Hamburg I found this great Turkish restaurant. The restaurant is spread over 2 floors and even has a balcony on the upper floor. The service was super friendly and everything without long waiting times. Now the most important thing... the food is amazing... everything is fresh and very tasty. Starting with the bread with fresh salad and dips that you get on the table free of charge before your meal, right through to the food you ordered. 😋 I'll 💯% come back the next time I visit Hamburg.

My favorite Turkish restaurant. Especially in winter, when I feel like I'm going to be sick, I always go and eat a nice soup and meat. Homemade meals during the day are incredibly delicious. The service is fast and friendly. I definitely recommend!

Best Turkish restaurant I’ve ever had (outside of Turkey). The quality is on another level.

Don't be fooled by store locations, sometimes you have to follow people to find good food! Here you have a so-called traditionally made kebab made from pure slices of meat without minced meat, which is sold as a kebab for €8.50. Traditionally there are only onions and parsley. You have to like this and my only criticism was the bread, which was a bit too dry. Otherwise a real experience to see and try this skewer. Plus the many specialties such as cooked goat cheese, incredibly fascinating! Entry is free, toilet available, card and cash payment possible! So just take a look!

Firstly, we were deceived - we ordered meat, and they gave us falafel, but they took the money as for meat. Since we ordered takeaway, we discovered the deception at the hotel... Okay, they cheated with the filling, but it was also tasteless - the sauce and salad were without salt. Just disgusting. It’s a shame that I will now remember Hamburg like this

Ordered doner durum and lahmacun. They heard "falafel in brot", we did correct them TWICE asking for durum doner. At home we discovered that they gave us falafel in bread for the price of doner durum. Not the best service after 20 mins of wait

The Turkish restaurant Köz Ocakbaşı, centrally located on the stone dam, has built a good reputation over the years. Unfortunately the situation has changed since a recent change in ownership. While the location remains optimal, the quality of the food has noticeably deteriorated. My most recent visit was disappointing: I ordered a soup that had hardly any pieces of meat and tasted very watery. This was a marked departure from the previous, rich and flavorful dishes I was used to. The staff also didn't help improve the experience. They seemed involuntary and not very friendly, which had a negative impact on the entire atmosphere. It seemed like the team was working under duress which affected the service. In addition, I was not served tea after my meal, although this is common in Turkish restaurants and I used to always enjoy it here. Overall, my visit to Köz Ocakbaşı was disappointing. The central location remains a plus point, but the quality of the food and service urgently need to be improved to build on previous successes.

Right off the bat, the food tasted great, and I loved the fresh bread provided at the table. The chicken was delicious, thanks to the charcoal grill. However, I found there was less meat on the chicken and more bone, and the wait time was quite long, around 30-40 minutes. The staff were friendly, although communication was a bit challenging due to the language barrier, but we managed in the end. For €18, I don't think the meal was great value, despite the good taste.

I ate Adana wrap, it's a good kebab for Germany. But for 14 euros, the wrap seemed a bit expensive.

The place is in a very good location, but it is very lacking in terms of cleanliness and professional work. If the deficiencies are corrected, it can be a very high-quality place. The advantage is that it is prepared to order over fire, which you cannot find anywhere in Germany.
