Köz Mangal Ulm in Ulm

A fantastic Turkish restaurant with a truly unique Adana flavor. The service was very friendly, and you simply feel comfortable in this place. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to eat delicious Adana or other Turkish dishes.

The service is friendly and high quality, only the döner would be better if it was a little less oily.

All the meals were perfect. My turkish friends also said it tastes authentic.

My first visit to Köz Mangal wasn't quite what I'd hoped for. I ordered a takeaway dürüm with a chicken skewer. The skewer itself is good. However, two-thirds of the vegetables were onions, even though I didn't want any onions and specifically pointed this out when the dürüm was being assembled. They said that was noted, not my order. After the drive home, I was left with the onion salad and, unfortunately, no sauces... The skewer itself is good, and I like the atmosphere in the restaurant.

I got the tip from my hotel – it all looked so great – served with so much care… then suddenly a bug crawled out of the doner meat – thanks, I'm out of here! A case for the food safety inspectors at LARA Ulm.

The king of Ulm doner kebabs. The bread is top-notch. The ingredients are fresh, and the meat is amazing. The doner kebab was just the way I like it. They don't skimp on the ingredients, especially the meat. The slightly higher price of €9 is definitely justified. I definitely have to try the other dishes here.

We wanted to cap off a wonderful day in the Tyrol region with a delicious meal. After a long and tiring wander, we saw a place with a 4.8 rating, according to numerous reviews, and we persevered for another two hours to get here. But what a complete disappointment. We first ordered the kelle paça (a type of meatball). It was completely ordinary, and we didn't even finish it. We ordered the mixed grill and the meze platter. The meze were also average, some a bit better. Despite our hunger, the mixed grill yam was a disappointment. The Adana steak was slightly burnt. The chicken skewers were lacking in flavor. Even the lamb chops weren't distinguished by their flavor. The meat skewer was probably lamb, and that was also very ordinary. In short, we were just full, or perhaps it would be more accurate to say we were satiated. We decided the reviews had praised the desserts, especially the künefe and katmer, so we should at least have a good dessert. But unfortunately, I've never had such a bad künefe in my life. We couldn't even eat it. The katmer was the same. Normally we would have just walked out without saying anything, but when my friend was at the cash register and said unfortunately the desserts were bad we couldn't eat them, the cashier quickly went to the table and asked what was wrong with the desserts. We didn't answer, so when he asked a second time I answered. I said, "Künefe should be crispy, this is all dough. It had no crispiness at all, the syrup was bad and the oil was very bad. I couldn't eat it because of the oil. It had a weird taste. The katmer was burnt. We couldn't eat that either, it tasted like ash in my mouth." "My friend said you cut the banana with the peel on and it was at least 5-6 days old. Upon hearing our answers, the friend practically threw his plates to the side. This is unacceptable service. I would like to thank the waiters who served us. They were the only good experience we had. Unfortunately, this is the first time I have experienced such a big disappointment in a place I went to based on reviews.

I've been traveling for years, and I've been to every continent, but this is the first time I've been so wrong about a place. I didn't want to say anything to avoid being rude. When I paid the bill, I told him the only dishes he had were the kunefe and katmer (a type of meat dish) and they were really bad. He came over and looked, insisting on asking what was wrong with the kunefe. As a customer, I'm ashamed to say it was awful, not even eaten. Look at the pictures, the katmer was burnt, the fruit on the side was at least 4-5 days old. They brought the banana with its peel on. I wasn't going to write this, but the guy who took the bill has no business being a businessman anyway; it's really unbecoming of him to take the plates and throw them away. I was embarrassed. I'd just stopped by and come a long way. This is not hospitality. I wouldn't even give it one star, but the other waiters were very nice and friendly. But the cashier, please look at the pictures and add kunefe and katmer to your menu accordingly. Thanks anyway.

Great turkish food restaurant. Plates are well fillled including salads. Free warm breads with dips upfront. Meat was well seasoned and tasteful. Loved the aubergine with meat kebab (patlicanli kebab)!

First was difficult to park there as unfortunately the restaurant is victim of its success and all the park space of the restaurant were taken. Unfortunately the surrounding areas are resident only and you cannot park either. We still went and the staff was really disorganised, shouting on each other and asking several times if we had already ordered as they seemed so confused. I had asked my döner without cucumber and still got the cucumber in the mix, so wasn't a nice experience in the end. My experience doesn't seem representative of other reviews so I might have been unlucky on this day.

Yesterday we were at the Köz Mangal Restaurant – and it was simply a complete success. The ambiance, atmosphere, service, and the entire restaurant were truly top-notch. The menu was not only delicious and filling, but also beautifully presented. The tables were cleaned promptly, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. A definite recommendation!

Overall, it was good. The Iskender kebab was extremely oily, but the portion was quite large. The restrooms were very clean, and we were able to pray in the baby changing room, which was better.

We had reserved for Ramadan...when we arrived, there was no table available...very unfriendly staff just left us standing there...there were 9 of us who couldn't break our fast on time...after 20 minutes, 2 small tables became available, then after another 20 minutes, we were given another large table...so NEVER AGAIN there

We drove from Heidenheim to Ulm to eat at this delicious restaurant. It was our first time here, and we can honestly say: AWESOME! We ordered the mixed grill, tzatziki, and Adana Dürüm. It was simply top-notch. Delicious at its finest! We felt like we were in Turkey. This is now one of our favorite spots! The waiters were also superbly friendly! We have to mention that, too!

My wife and I wanted a nice meal after a tiring day and went to this restaurant, which stood out with its high Google rating (4.8). Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of our expectations. From the moment we entered the restaurant, the atmosphere was quite negative. The floors were dirty and generally neglected. The air conditioning wasn't working; the staff told us it had just been turned off, but it was very hot and stuffy inside. The windows were open, but the hot air from outside was also blowing in, making it quite oppressive. The restrooms were unhygienic; they were poorly cleaned, and there were no napkins. The food was the biggest disappointment. My wife ordered the döner wrap. The wrap was large but arrived cold, lacking sauce, lacking salt, and the meat had a very poor texture. It fell short in taste. I ordered the mixed grill. The price was quite high (around 27 Euros), and for the price, the plate arrived much smaller than expected. The portion was quite small; Only one piece of each meat was included. The Adana kebab was overly salty, the spices were off balance. The chicken was completely unacceptable because it was undercooked and bloody inside. This, aside from the price, was a serious health issue. At these prices, one expects at least a proper presentation, delicious and well-prepared food, and a clean environment. But none of that was the case here. It was absolutely not worth the money. On the other hand, the food arrived quickly, and the waiters were genuinely attentive. We had a positive service experience. Therefore, instead of simply criticizing, I want these points to be acknowledged. I'm writing this review with complete honesty. My intention isn't to denigrate anyone; I simply want to share my experience sincerely. I hope this review provides both customers with insights and constructive feedback for the business owners. If they take these comments into consideration, they could truly become a better place. But unfortunately, we're not satisfied with its current state.

Friendly service, tasty dishes, the kebab is good but €9 is definitely too expensive.

Everything was nice, but the staff weren't that great. We almost had to buy something else. We had to buy a different drink because Coke didn't have any warm drinks left, and only other drinks were supposed to be warm, not Coke.

At the doner kebab you can taste good salad, good meat which makes me positive about the 9 euros, but as so often it is the bread which in my opinion prevents 5 stars, just as a tip try using what a bakery in Söflingen at the community square uses for their flatbread, then it would be like what I grew up with in Berlin and in my opinion worth 5 stars

The spicy ezme is perfectly balanced in flavor—not just spicy, but really well-seasoned. Four of us ate there. The food was excellent, whether it was the main course or dessert – you'd hardly find such good food anywhere else in Ulm. We received very prompt and, above all, very friendly service. Only when we wanted to order dessert did we wait so long for a waiter that I decided to place my order directly at the counter. The dessert came very quickly after that, though. Finally, we were offered a free cup of tea. I also appreciated that gesture. The restaurant is well air-conditioned, so it's easy to stop by even on hot summer days. There's also parking on site. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat truly good oriental food in Ulm. Top-notch food and, unfortunately, rare these days, at a reasonable price. I'd go back anytime!

An unassumingly good restaurant where great emphasis is placed on service and taste. I ate the best Adana in Germany. I can recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

“I ate beyti” I ate lavash instead of the 21€ beyti. You can hardly find the minced meat inside. It was definitely the worst “beyti” I have ever eaten.

My time at this restaurant was amazing! The food was fresh and delicious, I especially recommend trying the kebabs. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very friendly and warm. But what really stood out was Hüseyin's excellent service. We felt right at home with his smiling face and hospitality. He responded to all our requests immediately and gave us great suggestions for food. I will definitely come back again and can't wait to thank Hüseyin!

Not a simple snack bar, but a cross between a good snack bar and a restaurant. The seating is very comfortable, and it's pleasant to linger for a while. The food was very good and plentiful. I've already noted this place for my next stopover between Germany and Austria. It's almost on the way to the B10, if you take a shortcut from the A8 to the A7 via Ulm. Beware of the many speed cameras (including mobile ones) on the B10.

We had reserved for three people. When we arrived there was no space available and we had to wait - even though we were told on the phone that there was free space and we could come. We found that quite unprofessional. I can't comment on the food because it was uncomfortable for us to wait for other guests to get up - we just went to another restaurant.

The kebab is great in itself but nothing special. I think it's a shame that everything there takes so long and you wait almost 20-25 minutes for a kebab. The ambience doesn't really suit a kebab shop either; it's more chic and restaurant-style and not really suitable for a kebab shop. But the main criticism is the very wait time and the prices, which are quite high.
