We ate there again last Saturday. Even though we ordered at short notice, we got the wonderful place at the aquarium, even if only for 2 hours, we were very satisfied. The food is uniquely good and prepared with a lot of love. The extremely nice service alone makes the visit worth it.

Wir kommen regelmäßig ins Koy – mal alleine, mal mit Familie oder Freunden – und jedes Mal sind wir rundum begeistert! Die Qualität der Speisen ist konstant auf höchstem Niveau: frische Zutaten, authentische Aromen und eine liebevolle Zubereitung machen jedes Gericht zu einem Genuss. Besonders beeindruckt uns die Vielfalt der Speisekarte, auf der sowohl klassische Thai-Gerichte als auch spannende Spezialitäten zu finden sind. Egal ob scharf oder mild, vegetarisch oder mit Fleisch – hier ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Auch der Service ist hervorragend: Das Personal ist immer freundlich, aufmerksam und sorgt dafür, dass wir uns wohlfühlen. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne und können es wärmstens empfehlen!

Beautiful small but fine restaurant! In comparison, by far the best peanut sauce, super delicious tofu and generally the overall package is just perfect! Definitely coming back soon, I can only recommend it :)

A gem in the neighborhood. Heavenly creamy coconut soups, good sushi, cheap (and strong) cocktails, very diverse menu, friendly staff. Even a hypnotic fish tank with cute fish. The only note I have is that the lit up menu boards by the outside seating shine too bright to comfortably sit there

Delicious food, I went with the family last Thursday and it was delicious, I had never tried Thai food, if you are on vacation in Berlin, you have to stop by here no matter what. I recommend the shrimp soup and coconut drink, it is in my top 1. And the chicken skewers with peanut sauce, a delight!!!!

This is NOT a Thai restaurant. Reading all the good reviews, we wanted go have some authentic Tai food. Ordered a few things and were terribly disappointed...it has nothing in common wit Thai cuisine...pad thai floats in some sweet mango sauce, papaya salad has carrots...the staff is nice, but restaurant is mostly about food so smile won't fix the lack of know how..

By an Italian who can cook: this food is delicious. 13 euros for an abundant green curry crispy duck which was the best of my life. Plus, this waiter is adorable.

I've tried this restaurant twice with my partner, both times the food was just average and acceptable, the first time we had red Thai curry and summer rolls, The Red Thai curry tasted bland and not spicy at all, summer rolls were a joke, was just noodles wrapped in split rice paper, threw them straight in the bin. But we gave it one more try before making a judgement and the second time we ordered pad thai, it tasted nothing like it's supposed to at all, infact tasted really greasy and boring, quite disappointing, it's not awful and I've had worse but I definitely couldn't recommend this place unless you're desperate.

Located on a side street, this restaurant serves Thai cuisine. The food impresses with the freshness of the dishes, which also taste good. A visit is rounded off by the staff, who are very attentive, as well as an encore for children at the end and a schnapps with or without % for adults. Can only be recommended!

A treason to the great dish Pad Thai It was Sunday when we were hungry and looking for a nearby restaurant in Friedrichshain. The KOY caught our attention because of the good reviews (however that could have happened?). Then the food came and the shock was great: the “supposed” Pad Thai consisted of rice noodles mixed in a semi-sweet peanut sauce with celery and zucchini. Yikes? Cooked blindfolded today? It was sad. Unfortunately we will never eat there again :(

I was here twice and found the price-performance ratio great, but above all the courteous service! There are free prawn chips as a starter and people regularly ask if everything is OK. You don't often find such good service in Berlin anymore. In March I celebrated my birthday at Koy with 20 people and everything went great there too. You felt welcome, the food came at the same time and was delicious and despite the many guests there was always time for fun! Thanks! I'll definitely be back!

Ich kann nicht wirklich was negatives schreiben. Wir wollten gestern ein neues Restaurant ausprobieren und sind rein nach den Bewertungen gegangen und es war ein voller Erfolg. Ein freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service, hilfsbereit mit Empfehlungen für Essenswünsche und auch Kombinationen von Vor- und Hauptspeisen. Geschmacklich gibt es nicht auszusetzen und genauso mit der Wartezeit. Das Ambiente ist alles abgestimmt, von Geschirr bis zur Einrichtung mit dem Aquarium mittig im Lokal. Wenn man ein Manko suchen müsste würde ich die Ausleuchtung nennen, aber es liegt wahrscheinlich eher an unserem Sitzplatz. (Saßen am Fenster und durch die Dunkelheit von außen war es schwierig die Karte zu lesen und dem gedimmte Licht) Preis-Leistung in der heutigen Zeit einfach TOP, für das frische und leckere Essen und der Abrundung eines Pflaumenschnapses 😁 wir haben gerne Trinkgeld gegeben.

After 5 years I decided to edit my 5-star review with an admiration that Koy deserves. At some point I was coming there more than once per week. Through the years they maintain a high level of food quality and hospitality. I have my all-time favorite there - green curry with double fried chicken, yummy!

Very friendly staffs. The warm welcoming atmosphere was great. Food was freshly prepared and tasted good. No extra spice to hide the true flavor.

This could be the worst Asian restaurant I’ve been in Berlin. I was there today and there was a hair on my food, I could not continue eating and told to old lady working there. She took my plate and came back, saying that the cook is bold maybe it is coming from brocoli (LoL) and they did not bring new food to compansate it… and in the end she charged us with the full price of the food that I barely eat half of it due to the hair. Food was anyway extremely salty and tasteless. Never again!

Sehr sehr lecker, von bun bis Curry

It's incredibly brazen. Before eating, I asked if I could pay with a card, and the staff answered that it was possible. However, when paying the bill, the owner of this restaurant said that the card machine was broken today, so only cash is available, and I refuted this remark. Then, after a while, she brought the card terminal and started telling me that the original order must be over 20 euros to be able to pay by card. One star is too much for a restaurant that lies to customers in this way. (And the food was also so greasy.)

This place is authentic in the sense that it’s been in the neighborhood for a long time and delivers consistently tasty food that is adapted to the palate of the local surroundings. It’s well priced and the people working here are very courteous which is no small accomplishment for berlin. The sushi was really good and I feel like anyone can come here and find something they will like.

Fantastischer Ort. Mein Stammrestaurant, welches mich nie enttäuscht. Dazu trägt besonders der großartige Service bei. Die Freundlichkeit im Hause macht den gesamten Besuch zu einem runden und angenehmen Abend. Es kommt eine beinahe familiäre Atmosphäre rüber. Das Essen lässt nicht zu wünschen übrig. Jedes Mal lecker und gut zubereitet. Beim Sushi sollte man nichts Außergewöhnliches erwarten, es ist jedoch überaus lecker und besonders die Grillkäse-Rollen sind zu positiven Überraschungen im Stande. Und vergesst nicht, die Milkshakes zu bestellen! Wahnsinnig lecker und für 3,50€ kriegt man die vermutlich nirgendwo sonst.

Ich komme fast jeden Monat im Koy vorbei, und es ist nicht nur das leckere Essen, vor allem das Sushi, das mich immer wieder hierher zieht. Das Besondere am Koy ist die großartige Bedienung. Der Kellner behandelt einen wie seinen Buddy, und das ist einfach super. Egal, wie stressig der Tag davor war, hier fühlt man sich sofort wohl. Es ist schwer in Worte zu fassen wie nett der Kellner ist. Man muss schon mal da gewesen sein, um die Freundlichkeit zu verspüren. Mein Kumpel und ich besuchen das Koy oft, um uns bei einem gemütlichen Essen über unsere Erlebnisse des letzten Monats auszutauschen. Manchmal können unsere Gespräche etwas länger dauern. Aber das ist kein Problem, denn im Koy kann man so lange bleiben, wie man möchte, selbst nachdem wir schon mit dem Essen fertig sind. Ich kann das Koy wirklich nur empfehlen, und unbedingt die Milchshakes probieren! Die sind nicht nur preiswert, sondern auch mega lecker.

Lecker und freundlich, aber nicht der schnellste Service.

On a Friday summer evening, I went there to get takeaway. The venue was around half full. While we waited for our food, the waiter not only assigned us a seat but also provided us with complimentary crackers and a Lychee drink. We ordered Satey and another item (whose name I can't recall) for appetisers then Phat Thai and Bami Phat for main courses. The food arrived quickly, and the servings for the main courses were generous. All the items were tasty and I really liked the overall service :) Definitely recommend if you are looking to taste Asian food in Berlin without burning a hole in the pocket!

Die Preise für das Mittagsmenü (12€ pro Gericht - Aug 2023) haben ordentlich angezogen und liegen weit über den Durchschnitt in der Umgebung.

The staff is extremly friendly and attentive. We had a really nice lunch the other day at a reasonable price. The interior is a bit tacky, but if you can overlook that, you can enjoy good food and drinks at a good price here. During summer they open the big windows to have an indoor/outdoor feel and the fruit Lassi was amazing! Perfect for an easy and relaxed lunch.

Immer wieder schön sich dort mit Freundinnen zu treffen. Trotz Hektik, gibt's immer einen Plausch mit den Inhabern. Pflaumenschnaps, Kinderriegel und Doggi-Pack gab's letzten Samstag dazu. Vielen Dank.

Eine angenehme Atmosphäre, Kinderfreundlich und zuvorkommend.. Unsere Essen alle sehr lecker. Wir waren bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal dort essen.
