Ich liebe es! Gehe schon seit Jahren hin! Finde es TOP! Klar nicht billig aber für das was man bekommt und wie viel, entspricht es absolut dem was man zahlt (wenn nicht sogar mehr)!!! Vor allem im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants.

Excellent food! Absolutely authentic Thai, with lots of fresh ingredients and herbs. In addition to meat, fish and seafood, there is also a large vegan selection. The service is super attentive and friendly, even when the house is full. :-)

Nice little shop in the heart of the city. Well filled - please reserve. Food was lovingly prepared. The food was typical - I didn't do a somersault. Was good. Card payment possible, tips only in cash.

I love it! Been going there for years! Think it's TOP! Clearly not cheap but for what you get and how much, it is absolutely worth what you pay (if not more)!!! Especially compared to other restaurants.

As always, delicious food at a fair price. Every special request is accepted in a friendly and attentive manner and implemented without any problems. I can only recommend the restaurant and would be happy to come back.

Very small portions, but good location and nice environment inside. You can try a lot of Vietnamese dishes, and they have a nice vegan menu. But I think it’s not amazing, but normal if you want eat something quick. But if you want alternative with more taste any more delicious food, try to find out anything else)))

Essen wahr sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Die schärfen angaben stimmen sehr gut. Die Drinks und das Bier sind auch zu empfehlen. Bedienung wahr freundlich und sehr aufmerksam.

We only received 1 ticket for 2 people after 15 minutes because there weren't enough tickets. The second card was no longer brought either. In order to order we have to try to pay attention for half an hour. The starters only came after 1 hour and the main course only after 1 hour and 15 minutes. In a dish with meat, there was almost no meat in it, but otherwise delicious. When the waitress pointed out that it was taking a long time, she simply pointed out that the kitchen was very busy. But for me, ordering food has nothing to do with the kitchen. Unfortunately, waiting and constantly looking for waiters ruined the mood. Otherwise the food was delicious, that's what the stars are for.

A very good restaurant in the Bergmannkiez. I was there with a larger group and we all enjoyed it. The selection of dishes is large and therefore offers a lot of choice. The drinks menu offers a wide selection of Asian teas and exotic cocktails that go perfectly with the food. The restaurant is in the mid-price segment, the quality and service justify this

Great food, top fresh, great value for money

I had a really yummy Lab Ped here, my partner asked if she could have it with Tofu which they were happy to do. The Coconut Dream drink was great too. The staff were friendly with us and especially with our small infant human. Child seat available! Wooo

Very excellent food, it's always a pleasure to eat there. I particularly like that there are small portions, so you can choose several dishes for the starters. The food is of very good quality as I suffer from lactose and gluten intolerance, I quickly notice when both are involved or even when glutamate is used. I always receive very good advice from the friendly staff. In addition to the food, Sarod's also has a good selection of wines, which I can also recommend

In my opinion the best Thai restaurant in Berlin. freshly prepared, very aromatic food (classic as well as innovative dishes) and a great wine list, plus incredibly friendly staff.

We were visiting Berlin from Hamburg and had dinner here on Saturday afternoon. Everyone really enjoyed the food and the service was very friendly. That's why I can only recommend the restaurant.

Das Essen ist super lecker, glutamatfrei und immer frisch zubereitet (und das bei der großen Auswahl!). Es gibt auch außergewöhnliche Gerichte, z.B. Tintenfisch gefüllt mit Hähnchen und Garnelen. Wir lieben besonders die Curries, aber Vorsicht, Thai-scharf ist WIRKLICH scharf😅! Zudem sind die Portionen sehr großzügig bemessen und die Preise äußerst fair. Und die Weinauswahl ist echt sensationell, wodurch sich das Lokal von den meisten asiatischen Restaurants in Berlin abhebt. Man kann auch besondere Wünsche äußern, das Team ist echt nett! Absolut empfehlenswert!

Our absolute favorite Thai in Berlin! The food is super tasty, glutamate-free and always freshly prepared (and there is a large selection!). There are also unusual dishes, such as squid stuffed with chicken and shrimp. We especially love the curries, but be careful, Thai hot is REALLY hot😅! In addition, the portions are very generous and the prices are extremely fair. And the wine selection is really sensational, which sets the restaurant apart from most Asian restaurants in Berlin. You can also express special requests, the team is really nice! Highly Recommended!

There is a lot of talk about authenticity, but you can actually experience it here. As a long-time holidaymaker in Thailand and living with a Thai partner, I can really say that it tastes like it does in the country of origin. The service is very friendly and attentive. You are also offered a selection of beautiful wines (not necessarily “typically Thai” but still very welcome). We like to come to this restaurant regularly and can only recommend it to anyone who wants to eat good Thai food.

Can only pronounce middle class here. Everything seems very tight and stressful. Food is average and a bit expensive. Unfortunately I won't come here again. I would have expected more.

Wir waren heute Abend dort und konnten draußen sitzen. Wir wurden wie immer im Personal sehr herzlich begrüßt und hatten als Vorspeise Hähnchen Spieße und eine Glasnudelsuppe. Beides aromatisch und lecker. Die Hauptspeise (Huhn und Gemüse und Tintenfisch scharf) waren super frisch und lecker, scharf ist hier auch wirklich scharf also Vorsicht für sensible Mägen 😉 alles super lecker abgeschmeckt und gute Portions Größe (wir hatten die große Portion). In allem ein leckerer Abend in netter Betreuung und sehr gutem Preis Leistung Verhältnis.

My family and I went to eat at Saroj Restaurant. Very impressed with the food we ordered. Who likes to eat spicy food? I recommend the Siam duck menu. Freshly prepared food The taste is lacking like food in Thailand. And there are many delicious wines to choose from. The service staff takes good care of you. Thank you for your good service to the Saroj team.

After we ordered, we waited for an hour before the main course was served. It was extremely cold outside, but the waiter only asked if the table of white people wanted to be seated inside. The boss was super rude when paying the bill! Highly not recommended

We ordered mains for the each of us then some starters to share, the starters were served not long after we ordered, but we waited 50+mins for our mains, we asked the waiter also a guy who look like manager if our food would be ready soon, they were just rude and told me that foods will be coming, then we waited for another 20 mins. We asked for the bill at the end, then we waited for another 20 mins for that, the waiter kept telling us that they are preparing the bill. At the end we decided to come into the restaurant to pay, apparently our bill wasn’t ready at the moment, and the manager even told his staff that we are blocking the other customers way, which we also didn’t want to but it was way to cold to wait outside.

We had a bad experience at a restaurant today. It was a waste of time and money. it's not an authentic Thai restaurant, it's an authentic German service restaurant. The food was average, and not worth the ONE-HOUR wait. The staff and manager were unfriendly and unapologetic. To add insult to injury, the food was ONE HOUR late, and they didn't apologise. When we asked for the bill, they made us wait outside in the cold for 20 minutes and watched us suffer in the cold. The staff even lied to us, claiming that they were preparing the bill, but it was clear that when we inside they couldn't even find the bill. We eventually went inside to pay, but the manager spoke to the staff and asked us to step aside because we were in the way of other customers. We didn't intend to cause any inconvenience, but they made us wait for the bill for a long time, that's why we had to go inside. Overall, we would highly recommend AVOIDING this restaurant.

The food is still good, even if the prices have risen considerably. But the service… without words. Waited forever, both for the food and the drinks. No recommendation.

Authentic, truly flavorful and appropriately spicy Thai. So glad I found this place. Comfortable and pleasant surroundings and friendly service. I do wish they had Tod Mun Pla (fish cakes appetizer) on the menu. Then all my dreams will have been fulfilled! I'll be back either way.

Update February 2024: We have now been to this restaurant 3 times. Food and service were perfect. Our first visit seemed to be the famous coincidence full of mishaps. My friends, family and I really enjoyed it every time. Unfortunately, the only thing that doesn't make them authentic Thai cuisine is the seasoning: no chilies, no spiciness. We will be back. As a friend of Thai cuisine. As an expert on street kitchens in Thailand, I say: There is a lot of room for improvement. Me and my wife didn't like it.

Young team with senior staff. Everyone very nice. Wine list seems to go great with the food but 5 stars. Food is delicious and made me want to visit again! Desire for a bit more spiciness, bitterness, acidity and perhaps just because of the dishes ordered. The next visits will show :)

27 years ago my girlfriend at the time invited me here for dinner. Today we are back in Berlin and here with our daughters. Flashback - very tasty and highly recommended. 😃

Unfortunately not a good experience eating here. The service is particularly negative. Even when ordering food, we only heard “no” with minimal requests for changes and no alternative suggestions. There were no common drinks like Sprite or Ice Tea. My lime lemonade order was forgotten. When I ordered I was assured that the dish could be made less spicy and I ordered it “slightly spicy”. It came packed with red and green chili peppers so I had to return the dish because I couldn't continue reading after 3 bites due to the spiciness. When I complained, there was no apology; the plate was just taken away from me with the comment that it “would have to be redone”. Unfortunately, the menu is not labeled with allergens and the staff were often unsure whether a dish was gluten-free or at least could be prepared that way. We mainly had one waitress who often said "I don't know" when asked without any initiative to clarify the matter. All in all, after my dish was returned, there was a noticeably hostile atmosphere towards us, which made our further stay in the restaurant unpleasant for us. Quality of the food was ok, but not particularly outstanding. Finally, it should be mentioned that my partner was charged €12.40 for extra vegetables (a small side dish). Absolutely not recommended!

Wir waren um 16:30 Uhr die einzigen Gäste und baten um einen Vierertisch, da die Zweiertische sehr klein und eher ungemütlich sind, da man keine Beinfreiheit hat und das Essen samt Getränken knapp auf dem Tisch steht. Wir sagten, dass wir nur kurz essen würden und schnell wieder gehen würden. Der Pächter hat uns verboten an einem Vierertisch zu sitzen, es könnten Gäste kommen (es kamen keine Gäste). In der Vergangenheit konnten wir jedoch jedes Mal beobachten, dass Männer, die zu zweit erscheinen, immer (auch wenn das Restaurant sehr voll ist) an einem Vierertisch sitzen dürfen. Das Personal ist sehr bemüht, der Pächter gewohnt unfreundlich.

If you have a good table, I really like it there. But a bench without a backrest wouldn't be my thing.

Hands down for the most authentic Thai restaurant in town…. I am asian and I approve the spices here, it’s proper. There is heat in some of the dish but it is the nice kind of heat…been coming back 2 times in a week. We love it here. Service is pleasant and atmosphere is nice, good for dates. Recommend!

Authentic Thai cuisine and great drinks!

I was craving some spicy Thai and visited here based on the positive reviews. Enjoyed a warm, tasty meal with good portions for the price. Visited when traffic was low at night and service was fast. Highly recommend

Für mich das Beste Thailändische Restaurant in Berlin!!!! Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist einfach fantastisch 👌🏼 Hab die Tom Kha Gung Suppe war so gut das ich zweimal bestellen musste……. Und vom Ped Masserman Curry will ich gar nicht erst anfangen weil es unbeschreiblich gut war ❤️

In unseren Augen eines der besten und authentischsten Thai-Restaurants in Berlin. Wenn man im Bergmannkiez erstmal einen Parkplatz gefunden hat, steht einem schönen Abend im Sarod‘s nichts mehr im Wege. Die Weinkarte ist verglichen mit den meisten asiatischen Restaurants überraschend gut und vielfältig. Darüber hinaus ist die Getränkekarte eher übersichtlich, aber okay. Dafür ist die Speisekarte umfangreich und es gibt die meisten Gerichte in 2 verschiedenen Größen. Die verwenden Zutaten sind hochwertig und authentisch. Wer es scharf mag, kommt hier auf seine Kosten - was hier als scharf angepriesen wird, ist es auch wirklich. Preislich absolut fair, Kartenzahlung kein Problem (nur Trinkgeld darf nicht mit Karte bezahlt werden).

Liebes Team, das Essen war wie immer sehr gut, aber …. es hat viel zulange gedauert bis es dann endlich kam … in der langen Wartezeit konnten wir zusehen, wie ein Auslieferpaket nach dem anderen aus der Küche getragen wurde … vielleicht lag es daran??? Jedenfalls könnte man seine Gäste evtl mit einem Gratisgetränk oder so bei Laune halten bei einer sooooooo langen Wartezeit … nur so als Idee. Wir werden es nochmal versuchen bei euch und hoffen, dass es dann besser klappt. LG Simone

Kleines Thai-Restaurant im Bergmann-Kiez, perfekt vor einem Konzert in der fußläufig erreichbaren Columbiahalle. Netter Service, große Auswahl an Speisen, auch für Vegetarier und Veganer. Die vielleicht beste Tom Kha Gai meines Lebens. Zum reinlegen! Der Aufenthalt leidet leider etwas unter der Tatsache, dass man an den Zweierplätzen dicht an dicht zum Nachbartisch sitzt und so keine wirkliche Privatsphäre gegeben ist.

Wir waren Freunden zum Abendessen im Sarod’s. Die Karte ist zwar sehr groß aber dennoch sind die Gerichte authentisch und jedes für sich schmeckt sehr lecker. Besonders die Wein-Empfehlungen haben uns zu den Gängen überzeugt. Für ein Thai-Restaurant ist das ungewöhnlich, jedoch im Sarod‘s kennt sich der Wirt mit Weinen perfekt aus. Wir kommen wieder und wollen die anderen leckeren Gerichte auf Karte kennenlernen.

Super Essen, netter Service und schönes Ambiente

Das Essen ist Klasse, die Bedienung nett und das Ambiente stimmig. Wenn der Laden voll ist kann es etwas laut werden. Klare Empfehlung.

Es ist ein Lieblingsrestaurant meiner Tochter, die hier in Berlin lebt. Und das nicht ohne Grund. Der Empfang schon beim Betreten des Lokals ist ausnehmend freundlich. Schnell haben wir uns zu dritt für Klassiker des Speiseangebots entschieden. Meine Tochter nimmt wohl immer das Fischgericht mit verschiedenen Gemüsen und Pepperonis “groß” (18.90€) “Ich könnte mich reinlegen” - so ihr begeisterter Kommentar! Mein Sohn wählte Vergleichbares nur mit Shrimps in der Variante “sehr scharf”(18.90€) , war aber nicht so angetan, die Soße zu dünn, von der Schärfe her alles kaum erträglich. Meine “Duck” klein,(13.90€) fein zart, knusprig die Haut, war dagegen wieder perfekt. Bestimmt bleibt es das thailändische Stammlokal meiner Tochter. Man/frau muss eben mit Vorsicht das Mahl wählen….Nur wer das Gewürz Koreander so gar nicht mag, ist da sicherlich fehl am Platz. (Manche Menschen sagen, es schmecke wie Seife..!?!?) Aber das ist nun mal Thailand: Hier kommt sein Geschmack und sein Geruch verteilt im ganzen Restaurant versetzt einen eben mal -ohne viel Aufwand , ganz preiswert- lustvoll mental in eben dieses Land!

Wir waren jetzt eine gefühlte Ewigkeit nicht mehr da und müssen sagen es war super lecker wie es immer war. Wir kommen wieder öfters, versprochen. Der einzigste Kritikpunkt ist die Katastrophale Parkplatzsituation.

Etwas gehobene Thai Küche, sehr solide keine Überraschungen. Service ist super flott und freundlich. Unbedingt reservieren, hier ist besonders am WE auch mal jeder Tisch vergeben! Gute Weinkarte und angemessene Preise. Die Bestuhlung außen ist eher robust als bequem, es gibt aber Kissen und Decken und gerade im Sommer sitzt man hier recht angenehm.

Super leckeres authentisches Thai Restaurant mit schönem Ambiente und sehr freundlichem Personal. Besonders zu empfehlen ist das Som Tam (Papaya Salat). Schmeckt wie auf einem Thai Markt in Bangkok. Ein wirklich großartiges Thai-Restaurant. Das Essen ist sehr gut abgeschmeckt und nicht der übliche Thaicurry-Einheitsbrei. Dazu kommt ein sehr lustiges und überaus freundliches Personal. Komme auf jeden Fall wieder.

We waited for our food for over 1,5 hours. The came to ask us to pay before we even had eaten. They did not seem to know what food was ordered by which table and tried to bring us dishes that were going to another table. When the food arrived, it was a disappointment. On the positive side it was spicy as requested. When we finally asked to pay, even doing that took forever. Cannot recommend.
