Friday evening. Be sure to reserve. It is quite loud, at least in the front area. Food was very very tasty! We'll be back! Service was busy; so we had to wait a bit to order another drink

This was our first time here and it was really outstanding. The food is incredibly delicious (especially the tom kha gai) and the atmosphere and service in the restaurant was so nice and friendly. We felt very comfortable and welcome and the owner is also incredibly sweet and funny. It's very worth coming here, clear recommendation! :)

The place was very busy but the noise level was pleasant as we could still hear each other. The service was friendly and helpful. The starters came quickly and were very tasty. The main courses took a little longer, but as I said, it was busy and that was to be expected. The main courses were also very tasty. We really enjoyed the duck curry. However, the second main course, grilled squid and prawns, was a little bland. It was well presented and served with a flavoursome sauce, but it was only when the sauce was used that falvor came to the dish. A little more flavour on the grilled food would make this dish even more enjoyable.

A good selection of high-quality dishes in a pleasant atmosphere with very friendly service. Excellent value for money! Sarod's is our favorite in the Chamissokiez neighborhood.

We felt very welcome, the atmosphere was pleasant, the service was attentive and friendly and the food and drinks came quickly. The red curry and the Phad Thai were well seasoned and we enjoyed them very much. We will definitely come back.

The food tasted very good, cooked with Thai spices and vegetables, but was a bit very salty (and I love salt!). The portions are really plentiful. However, you don't always get the table you specifically reserved. In the back of the restaurant you sit pressed together like sardines. That's really not nice! So it's better to reserve in the front part... maybe you'll get the reserved space 😉

This was our second time at Sarods and we would love to live around the corner so we could eat there every day. Everything we have eaten so far is absolute soul food. A huge recommendation is the lime shake.

The BEST Thai restaurant ever (and not just in Berlin)!!! We've been going to Sarod's regularly for years and not once have we been disappointed. As soon as you enter the store, you'll notice the attention to detail. The guest room is very tastefully decorated and you immediately feel at home. The welcome is always warm, with a smile and you can feel that everyone enjoys working there. The mood is ALWAYS good! The cuisine is outstanding and very authentic, as only Thais work in the kitchen (unless the boss has to step in 😉). The ingredients are always fresh - the boss attaches great importance to this. We didn't even have a lettuce leaf that turned slightly brown or anything. Simply TOP! There are no flavor enhancers at all and we still want to go back to Sarod's the following day (which happened quite often). We can only recommend this restaurant and you will definitely like it!! A big compliment to the entire team!!! ❤️

We ate at Sarod's for the first time today 🍛. You were immediately greeted in a friendly manner and taken to a seat. The restaurant creates a pleasant atmosphere 🕯️. There were only a few guests there (Wednesday, early evening) 🕰️. The food was very tasty 😋 and was served to us within 15 minutes. The two waitresses were particularly noticeable - they radiated a good mood and were very friendly 🙌. Gladly again! 👍 Highly recommended ⭐️.

We were at Sarod's with friends on November 22nd, 2024. I had reserved a table in advance on the restaurant's website. As a request, I added that I didn't want a comfortable table right next to the entrance door, which was implemented brilliantly! The service is very friendly, attentive and happy to joke, which makes your stay very pleasant. The food came within a normal timeframe after we ordered and was very attractively prepared. In terms of taste, I'm happy to give it 5 stars because the food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. We were here for the first time in the summer for my birthday and felt very comfortable, which was repeated on the second visit yesterday. Sarod's has a cozy and attractive atmosphere and invites you to linger for a longer period of time. Not to forget, the toilets are neat and clean. We will come back and are already looking forward to the next time! A great team, great food at reasonable prices!

Ich liebe es! Gehe schon seit Jahren hin! Finde es TOP! Klar nicht billig aber für das was man bekommt und wie viel, entspricht es absolut dem was man zahlt (wenn nicht sogar mehr)!!! Vor allem im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants.

The food was very nice, but sadly at some point during our meal, they spilt sweet chilli sauce all over my wife’s back, and both our jackets, and did not tell us. When we got up to leave after paying, we realised our clothes were covered in this sticky sauce, and they offered just two wet wipes and a hollow and mumbled sorry. Nothing else. Even if it was an accident, I’d expect a bit more hospitality than that. It ruined what had been a very enjoyable meal.

Nice little shop in the heart of the city. Well filled - please reserve. Food was lovingly prepared. The food was typical - I didn't do a somersault. Was good. Card payment possible, tips only in cash.

I love it! Been going there for years! Think it's TOP! Clearly not cheap but for what you get and how much, it is absolutely worth what you pay (if not more)!!! Especially compared to other restaurants.

Very small portions, but good location and nice environment inside. You can try a lot of Vietnamese dishes, and they have a nice vegan menu. But I think it’s not amazing, but normal if you want eat something quick. But if you want alternative with more taste any more delicious food, try to find out anything else)))

We only received 1 ticket for 2 people after 15 minutes because there weren't enough tickets. The second card was no longer brought either. In order to order we have to try to pay attention for half an hour. The starters only came after 1 hour and the main course only after 1 hour and 15 minutes. In a dish with meat, there was almost no meat in it, but otherwise delicious. When the waitress pointed out that it was taking a long time, she simply pointed out that the kitchen was very busy. But for me, ordering food has nothing to do with the kitchen. Unfortunately, waiting and constantly looking for waiters ruined the mood. Otherwise the food was delicious, that's what the stars are for.

A very good restaurant in the Bergmannkiez. I was there with a larger group and we all enjoyed it. The selection of dishes is large and therefore offers a lot of choice. The drinks menu offers a wide selection of Asian teas and exotic cocktails that go perfectly with the food. The restaurant is in the mid-price segment, the quality and service justify this

I had a really yummy Lab Ped here, my partner asked if she could have it with Tofu which they were happy to do. The Coconut Dream drink was great too. The staff were friendly with us and especially with our small infant human. Child seat available! Wooo

Very excellent food, it's always a pleasure to eat there. I particularly like that there are small portions, so you can choose several dishes for the starters. The food is of very good quality as I suffer from lactose and gluten intolerance, I quickly notice when both are involved or even when glutamate is used. I always receive very good advice from the friendly staff. In addition to the food, Sarod's also has a good selection of wines, which I can also recommend

We were visiting Berlin from Hamburg and had dinner here on Saturday afternoon. Everyone really enjoyed the food and the service was very friendly. That's why I can only recommend the restaurant.

There is a lot of talk about authenticity, but you can actually experience it here. As a long-time holidaymaker in Thailand and living with a Thai partner, I can really say that it tastes like it does in the country of origin. The service is very friendly and attentive. You are also offered a selection of beautiful wines (not necessarily “typically Thai” but still very welcome). We like to come to this restaurant regularly and can only recommend it to anyone who wants to eat good Thai food.

Das Essen ist super lecker, glutamatfrei und immer frisch zubereitet (und das bei der großen Auswahl!). Es gibt auch außergewöhnliche Gerichte, z.B. Tintenfisch gefüllt mit Hähnchen und Garnelen. Wir lieben besonders die Curries, aber Vorsicht, Thai-scharf ist WIRKLICH scharf😅! Zudem sind die Portionen sehr großzügig bemessen und die Preise äußerst fair. Und die Weinauswahl ist echt sensationell, wodurch sich das Lokal von den meisten asiatischen Restaurants in Berlin abhebt. Man kann auch besondere Wünsche äußern, das Team ist echt nett! Absolut empfehlenswert!

Our absolute favorite Thai in Berlin! The food is super tasty, glutamate-free and always freshly prepared (and there is a large selection!). There are also unusual dishes, such as squid stuffed with chicken and shrimp. We especially love the curries, but be careful, Thai hot is REALLY hot😅! In addition, the portions are very generous and the prices are extremely fair. And the wine selection is really sensational, which sets the restaurant apart from most Asian restaurants in Berlin. You can also express special requests, the team is really nice! Highly Recommended!

Can only pronounce middle class here. Everything seems very tight and stressful. Food is average and a bit expensive. Unfortunately I won't come here again. I would have expected more.

Wir waren heute Abend dort und konnten draußen sitzen. Wir wurden wie immer im Personal sehr herzlich begrüßt und hatten als Vorspeise Hähnchen Spieße und eine Glasnudelsuppe. Beides aromatisch und lecker. Die Hauptspeise (Huhn und Gemüse und Tintenfisch scharf) waren super frisch und lecker, scharf ist hier auch wirklich scharf also Vorsicht für sensible Mägen 😉 alles super lecker abgeschmeckt und gute Portions Größe (wir hatten die große Portion). In allem ein leckerer Abend in netter Betreuung und sehr gutem Preis Leistung Verhältnis.

My family and I went to eat at Saroj Restaurant. Very impressed with the food we ordered. Who likes to eat spicy food? I recommend the Siam duck menu. Freshly prepared food The taste is lacking like food in Thailand. And there are many delicious wines to choose from. The service staff takes good care of you. We are a group of friends who were just hungry, we were told by the staff that it’s full at the first moment, then he told us that we could sit outside. We ordered mains for the each of us then some starters to share, the starters were served not long after we ordered, but we waited 50+mins for our mains, we asked the waiter also a guy who look like manager if our food would be ready soon, they were just rude and told me that foods will be coming, then we waited for another 20 mins. We asked for the bill at the end, then we waited for another 20 mins for that, the waiter kept telling us that they are preparing the bill. At the end we decided to come into the restaurant to pay, apparently our bill wasn’t ready at the moment, and the manager even told his staff that we are blocking the other customers way, which we also didn’t want to but it was way to cold to wait outside.

After we ordered, we waited for an hour before the main course was served. It was extremely cold outside, but the waiter only asked if the table of white people wanted to be seated inside. The boss was super rude when paying the bill! Highly not recommended

We had a bad experience at a restaurant today. It was a waste of time and money. it's not an authentic Thai restaurant, it's an authentic German service restaurant. The food was average, and not worth the ONE-HOUR wait. The staff and manager were unfriendly and unapologetic. To add insult to injury, the food was ONE HOUR late, and they didn't apologise. When we asked for the bill, they made us wait outside in the cold for 20 minutes and watched us suffer in the cold. The staff even lied to us, claiming that they were preparing the bill, but it was clear that when we inside they couldn't even find the bill. We eventually went inside to pay, but the manager spoke to the staff and asked us to step aside because we were in the way of other customers. We didn't intend to cause any inconvenience, but they made us wait for the bill for a long time, that's why we had to go inside. Overall, we would highly recommend AVOIDING this restaurant.

Authentic, truly flavorful and appropriately spicy Thai. So glad I found this place. Comfortable and pleasant surroundings and friendly service. I do wish they had Tod Mun Pla (fish cakes appetizer) on the menu. Then all my dreams will have been fulfilled! I'll be back either way.

Update February 2024: We have now been to this restaurant 3 times. Food and service were perfect. Our first visit seemed to be the famous coincidence full of mishaps. My friends, family and I really enjoyed it every time. Unfortunately, the only thing that doesn't make them authentic Thai cuisine is the seasoning: no chilies, no spiciness. We will be back. As a friend of Thai cuisine. As an expert on street kitchens in Thailand, I say: There is a lot of room for improvement. Me and my wife didn't like it.

Young team with senior staff. Everyone very nice. Wine list seems to go great with the food but 5 stars. Food is delicious and made me want to visit again! Desire for a bit more spiciness, bitterness, acidity and perhaps just because of the dishes ordered. The next visits will show :)

27 years ago my girlfriend at the time invited me here for dinner. Today we are back in Berlin and here with our daughters. Flashback - very tasty and highly recommended. 😃

Unfortunately not a good experience eating here. The service is particularly negative. Even when ordering food, we only heard “no” with minimal requests for changes and no alternative suggestions. There were no common drinks like Sprite or Ice Tea. My lime lemonade order was forgotten. When I ordered I was assured that the dish could be made less spicy and I ordered it “slightly spicy”. It came packed with red and green chili peppers so I had to return the dish because I couldn't continue reading after 3 bites due to the spiciness. When I complained, there was no apology; the plate was just taken away from me with the comment that it “would have to be redone”. Unfortunately, the menu is not labeled with allergens and the staff were often unsure whether a dish was gluten-free or at least could be prepared that way. We mainly had one waitress who often said "I don't know" when asked without any initiative to clarify the matter. All in all, after my dish was returned, there was a noticeably hostile atmosphere towards us, which made our further stay in the restaurant unpleasant for us. Quality of the food was ok, but not particularly outstanding. Finally, it should be mentioned that my partner was charged €12.40 for extra vegetables (a small side dish). Absolutely not recommended!
