A very good sushi restaurant in Hanover. Excellently prepared and very tasty. I can especially recommend the fried sushi. The entire restaurant is very nicely decorated and there is an overall nice atmosphere. You should reserve a spot, especially in winter, as the spaces inside are relatively limited.

The food is so clean and delicious. The staff are really polite, nice and accommodating!

Here is a possible rating: Unfortunately the restaurant did not meet our expectations. The hype surrounding the restaurant gives the impression of an upscale atmosphere, but this was not the case on site. The price-performance ratio was disappointing: the quality of the food did not justify the high prices. In addition, it was extremely cold in the restaurant, so we felt uncomfortable throughout our stay. The only thing that remains positive is the friendly service. Nevertheless, it will remain a one-off visit because the overall experience was not convincing.

At Kouro you get sushi 2.0 👌 Was eating here with friends for the second time. Cozy atmosphere, creative and beautifully presented plates. Super delicious! Very attentive, friendly staff. Price performance fits. Gluten-free is no problem at all... It won't be the last visit, that's for sure.

Totally friendly staff, they always surprised us with little touches on our wedding anniversary, although we only mentioned this when making the reservation so we could get a nice place for two by the window. We were very happy about it, it was totally unexpected. Food, as always, great quality and unusual sushi! The rooms are cozy, with upholstered furniture and good acoustics, it's not too loud and you don't hear much from other guests.

I've eaten a lot of sushi in many countries in my life - sushi is one of my favorite foods. I visited sushi restaurants that were awarded stars and ate sushi in a variety of forms in small, family-run shops. Never, really never, have I eaten such great sushi as I did here at KOURO! The offer, the ideas, the delicate execution were absolutely perfect, the taste was a delight and the price was absolutely reasonable. The wine selection is wonderfully coordinated, the service is unobtrusive and particularly friendly and attentive, and the furnishings are modern without appearing cold. I am thrilled and recommend going there with deep conviction!! If I can now manage to dampen the music a bit so that more intimate conversations are possible, I will also give 5* for the ambience on my next visit 😜

It was fine. Maybe I expected too much.

I was a little bit skeptical because I saw some reviews mentioning that it was not great, specially the food. And omg, thank god I did not listen. It was incredible. Amazing taste, good quality, good quantity. Really loved it. A bit pricey but, you know, it is sushi, so you should expect it.

Yesterday I celebrated my university graduation here with my friends over dinner and I was really incredibly excited. Not only absolutely fantastic sushi, but also extremely courteous and great service! Super recommended - I'll definitely come back!

My husband and I made a reservation for my birthday. The sushi was very tasty, personally the restaurant is a bit too dark and the music is too loud for me, but that's just my taste. However, the service wasn't really good, we had a table right by the door, we had asked for another table because it was quite drafty through the door, we were just told that all tables had been explicitly reserved and we would only take this table can. There were free tables the whole evening... the waiters walked around the room a lot, but you had to speak to them explicitly if you wanted to order something else to drink. You could see an empty glass... It was also a bit sad that the sanitary facilities were quite dirty and I had to ask for toilet paper at the counter as there was no toilet paper left. If anything, I would only order sushi to pick up, but I wouldn't go to the restaurant again.

Best sushi in Hanover 😮‍💨🍣! We like to eat locally, but we also really like to order home. The food is always delivered warm, quickly and super tasty. The packaging alone is very special and I have never seen it like this before. 😳 The staff is top notch, the sushi creations are exceptionally tasty. Definitely an amazing experience. ✨

Great Atmosphere. However, even when it's very calm, the wait times for food are way too long. When it arrives, it's lukewarm all-through, but very tasty. The combinations are more or less classical, but well executed. Prices are very high. The wine menu is okay.

Bad service in the whole city, waited 1 hour for drinks and for the waitress, staff totally overwhelmed, not even paper in both toilets to dry your hands. I can advise everyone against this, at the price this service is in no way acceptable. More appearance than reality. Leave the restaurant after 2 drinks because even at the snack bar you get more service.

At an event at Hannover Zoo two days ago, I bought sushi at a KOURO food stand. I have never eaten such delicious sushi anywhere. The service was also super nice. Simply great and we will visit the KOURO in the city in the near future.

Außergewöhnliche Location durch dunkel Farben, Interieur, Scheiben. Fast alles in Schwarz gehalten dennoch gewöhnt man sich schnell an diese Atmosphäre. Der Service ist zuvorkommend und flink, die Karte ausreichend und mit außergewöhnlichen Spezialitäten gespickt. Digital mit Bildern unterlegt halten die Fotos was sie versprechen. Überaus lecker und reichlich portioniert. Kommen gerne wieder.

Interesting sushi restaurant in the city center. The service is very friendly and attentive. The ambience and furnishings seem valuable, but are too dark for me. The menu is only available online, which I find not appropriate and a shame for a restaurant in this price category. The food is good to very good but the prices are a bit too high compared to other good sushi providers. Serving the soy sauce in a spray bottle looks good, but it takes some getting used to. (I prefer to mix it with wasbi) Also a bit playful when preparing it, roasted grated ham on tuna sushi... why? Definitely worth a visit and testing it out for yourself.

A dream!!! The sushi is world class, the service is top and the employees/managers are very friendly and customer-oriented. We currently only use the delivery service and the sushi is very high quality and attractively packaged. See you next time :)

It was our first time here and the ambience does what it promises! Stylish, elegant with a certain calm. The food was amazing! You could taste the freshness straight away, a lot of thought went into the creations and the preparation was masterful. Also an absolute compliment to the service! The young lady who looked after us was courteous, extremely polite and always in the right place at the right time. Even when a small mistake happened in the kitchen (the same sushi twice instead of 2 different ones) it was corrected immediately and we basically got a portion for free. All in all, thank you very much for a very successful evening and for the service that made it possible! I will definitely come again!

It couldn't be worse... Here's the reasoning.......ordered sushi to take away from the store (theater str) for 63€, looked it up online...there's a 12€ surcharge when paying because it's more expensive here than delivery🤬🤬 🤬 Cress slapped on all the sushi... something like guacamole and tomato salad on the fried one... shocking... sushi rice has no taste... We only ordered because we received a voucher I'll stick with my regular sushi shop....sushi berlin osterstr Ps. You can get better sushi at Kaufland train station Kouro NEVER AGAIN

Perfect sushi, appetizers and dessert in a cool, modern club atmosphere! I discovered this restaurant about 1/2 year ago and am thrilled. The starters (Chili Cheese Tigers, Dumplings) are super tasty, followed by exceptionally tasty sushi rolls (especially the Relachs and the Yellow Fin Spice). An absolute highlight is the Creme Brulee dessert with tonka beans and walnut sorbet! The service is very courteous and professional. The dark furnishings look chic and modern. An absolute recommendation!

The vegan sushi was very tasty. There was a HUGE disappointment with the Crispy Chicken, there was almost no chicken in it. And it was mostly breading, much more so than the other crispy rolls. Also a lot of rice in general and little filling, fish etc. It's a shame for the price.

Very nice restaurant with high quality sushi. The soy sauce in perfume bottles is unusual. We particularly liked the special rolls. Although these are anything but traditional, they are incredibly tasty and an exciting change from standard sushi. Highly recommended!

Absolutely not appropriate value for money!

Restaurant has great decor as well as atmosphere. The food was beautifully prepared and tasted of a very high standard. The prices are high, but considering the location of the restaurant, they are justified. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the dishes. In return, the owner did not charge for the dessert without being asked. This is a big plus for me and enhances the overall appearance of the restaurant.

Supposed to be fancy but Sushi is average. Prices aren't justified. One appetizer we had was quite nice, but the inside-out rolls were ridiculously small. I would not recommend ordering them.

We just ordered directly from Kouro Sushi to our home and are really excited 🤩 starting with the internet presence (easy ordering, very good pictures) even though they said a longer delivery time, everything went quickly 👍 the packaging and the friendly driver increased the anticipation extremely! The food really kept up the standard and put a huge smile on our faces!!! As of today, Kouro is No. 1 in Town for us🥰 Thanks for this taste explosion👌

The two of us visited the restaurant on a Wednesday evening in May 2023. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. The sushi was tasty and reasonable for the price. The soy sauce to spray was nice to look at. When we wanted to pay, we waited more than 20 minutes until one of us went to the counter and ordered the bill. Overall the visit was okay. Personally, we find other sushi shops in Hanover's city center to be of higher quality, cheaper and with a better quality of service.

An evening at Kouro is always something special. On the one hand, the ambience in Hanover is unparalleled. On the other hand, the employees always manage to serve the first-class sushi variations and drinks in a friendly and customer-oriented manner. G.S.

One of our absolute favorite restaurants! Everything is just right here. If you like some unusual sushi, you can't miss Kouro! Our tip: lots of tuna, the chili cheese tigers and the creme brulee. But we also enjoy many other things from the menu here! ☺️

Location top, Essen flop. Sushi sind sehr klein, geschmacklich überhaupt nichts besonderes, sie hätten aus jedem x beliebigen Sushilokal sein können. Bei dieser Preisklasse hätte ich auch erwartet, dass z.B. gratis Häppchen vor dem Hauptgang serviert werden - ist aber nicht der Fall gewesen. Außerdem sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig, dass die Soya Sauce auf das Sushi gesprüht (!) werden muss und nicht gedippt. Hat uns so überhaupt nicht gefallen. Wir werden nicht wiederkommen, für den Preis war das nicht gerechtfertigt.

Wir waren sehr begeistert von der Qualität des Sushi's. Es gab auch eine gute Auswahl an veganen Optionen. Die Einrichtung ist elegant und im dunklen Stil gehalten. Die Sojasoße wird extravagant in einer Parfümflasche gereicht, was für uns ein kleines Highlight war. Unbedingt vorher reservieren (online problemlos möglich). Das Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich, der Preis liegt auf einem vorhersehbaren Niveau, sprich etwas teurer als andere Restaurants der gleichen Art. 5/5 🌟

Das Sushi ist sehr lecker. Allerdings würde ich mich auch mal um die Sauberkeit der Toiletten kümmern. An der Klobrille hat Blut geklebt und es stinkt da unten wie die Pest. Wenn das Essen schon so eine gute Qualität hat, sollte man sich auch um den Rest kümmern.

Super leckeres Sushi (sehr ausgefallene, besondere Kreationen) und fancy Ambiente! Nach der Bestellung mussten wir nicht lange auf das Sushi warten. Der Service war sehr nett. Man sollte besser reservieren. Wir haben zwar ohne Reservierung einen Platz bekommen, konnten aber beobachten, dass viele Leute nach uns keinen bekommen haben.

We had a horrible evening and were treated horrendously by the staff. Despite having a reservation and tables being empty inside, we were forced to sit outside where it was freezing. If we wanted to order, we would have to stand up and go inside to search for the staff. Mind you again, that we did have a reservation. So it makes no sense to value one reservation of people who aren't even there over people that are. We can only assume that our looks may have been part of it, although we have no definite evidence for that. Regardless, the service was unacceptable and we would never recommend this place.

Wir waren neulich das erste Mal im Kouro und waren von der Atmosphäre sehr begeistert. Der Laden ist super schick und edel eingerichtet. Das Personal war sehr feundlich und wir wurden den Abend über zuvorkommend und herzlich bedient. Das Essen war super lecker. Ich hatte vegetarisches Sushi und meine Freundin eine Bowl. Wir können den Laden auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und kommen gerne wieder :)

Sushi ist wirklich lecker, aber dafür auch ziemlich teuer. Unter 50€ pro Person wird man hier nicht satt. Beim Betreten des Restaurants begenet man einen unangenehmen Geruch von Abwasser, der beim Gang in die im Keller gelegenen Toiletten sich weiter intensiviert.

Ein sehr gutes Sushi Restaurant in bester Lage in Hannover. Die Einrichtung ist sehr edel und die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich. Uns hat das Essen sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir konmmen gerne wieder.

Ich habe ja schon an vielen Orten Sushi gegessen auf dieser Welt, aber dieses Restaurant gehört definitiv zu den besten drei, in denen ich je gegessen habe. Das Ambiente ist unglaublich, wie das alles eingerichtet ist mit den dunklen Tönen die Stimmung die Tische einfach absolut Top. Das Sushi ist nicht einfach nur eine Sushi Rolle, sie wird verziert mit speziellen Saucen man kriegt dort Sushi die man sonst nirgends kriegt. Also man merkt, das ist wirklich ein absolutes Top Restaurant kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. Einzig das komische Sojafläschchen wo ist wie eine Parfumflasch und nichts raus kommt könmte man verbessern.

Sehr leckeres Sushi. Eine exotische Vielfalt an Sushis, die ich nirgends gesehen habe. Viel kann man dazu nicht sagen außer dass es etwas teuer ist aber sonst top. Achtung ! Verpackungsgebühr vorhanden was reinster Schwachsinn ist, statt das Essen wegzuschmeißen.

Ristorante giapponese non convenzionale. I piatti sono ricercati e con abbinamenti particolari! I prezzi non sono bassi (circa 16€ a piatto) ma la qualità è molto alta! Il locale e' molto chic e tutto è molto raffinato! Vi torneremo sicuramente la prossima volta che saremo ad Hannover!!

Waren gestern für einen Mädelsabend im Kouro. Für Sushi-Liebhaber ist dieses Restaurant ganz großes Kino!!! Der Service war hervorragend und äußerst charmant. Die Vorspeisen, Sushivariationen sowohl die Desserts im Geschmack und Präsentation genial und sehr besonders!!!! Das Ambiente etwas dunkel, trotzdem mit Wohlfühlcharakter und sehr stylisch. Wir kommen wieder!!!!!
