I hadn't been to the Kotelett Schmiede for many years. It used to be a really great place where they served really tasty, good chops and schnitzel. The two times I went there the food was really not good. I thought it might have been an exception the first time, but the second time it was even worse. The chops were only lukewarm, the paprika and hunter's sauce had no taste of anything. The gyro pita was even worse. Everything was completely mushy, the meat didn't taste good either, and the pita bread was completely musty, both in smell and taste. I was very disappointed. Unfortunately, that was the last time for me. The only thing that remains are the good memories of back then when the food was still of really good quality and you got a fresh schnitzel or chop and not a warmed-up piece of meat that tasted of nothing.

This was my first time at this branch and I was pleasantly surprised; it was completely different from the other restaurants. I really enjoyed it and will definitely go again.

I had lunch at the restaurant "Kotelett Schmiede" today and ate a breaded schnitzel with hunter's sauce and French fries, accompanied by a delicious Barre Pils. I enjoyed the breaded schnitzel and the French fries, but the hunter's sauce didn't taste homemade. I may be wrong, but it tasted like a factory-made product. The Kotelett Schmiede is perfectly suitable for a quick lunch during your lunch break.

Unfortunately, they're completely incompetent when it comes to allergens. Sad for such a company.

Yes, very tasty food, nice staff, again and again

We highly recommend this place. We had chops with hunter's sauce and chops with paprika sauce. They served them with fries and salad. One salad was served with yogurt sauce and the other with vinegar and oil. Everything was delicious and served very quickly. The food was excellent. The service was friendly and fast.

Conclusion: People, don't waste your money. They served me a lukewarm schnitzel in a (light hunter's sauce) that was neither crispy nor tender! A friendly waitress pointed this out and I got a new one. Unfortunately, it was so salty that it was barely edible. Since I felt uncomfortable mentioning this again, I paid and left. My wife had a half-raw gyro.

My colleague and I both ordered chicken schnitzel, but unfortunately, his and my schnitzels were completely raw. Of course, we got a new plate, and the waiters apologized.

We no longer have a mask requirement. But they want you to wear one there. So I'll never shop there again. The fries weren't even cooked properly and were way too expensive. The Kotelett-Schmiede used to be my number 1 schnitzel place - unfortunately not anymore. Since Corona and your strict mask requirement, I've been avoiding you, it's ruined a lot of things for me. Price-performance isn't quite right anymore, but I hope you find your way back to your old strength.

Reasonable food at fair prices. The rösti, in particular, was really delicious. There are plenty of options for a pleasant get-together, both inside and outside. The service is friendly, and card payments are accepted.

Very tasty schnitzels or cutlets

Anyone who keeps writing delicious here must be suffering from a lack of taste. The Oldenburg kale menu I ordered was pig food. That was unacceptable. The schnitzels that were on display looked like they had been there for days. They bowed from dryness. Never again

Impossible! 8 euros for 2 portions of fries that were just warmed up instead of freshly prepared. The waitress took note of it, but still had to pay the full price (without an apology or anything).

I haven't eaten something so bad in a long time. Fried potatoes taste like nothing. The Jägerschmitzel was small and the Jägersosse was anything but a Jägersosse. Cream shit from the tetra pack. I threw everything in the trash like that. Just disgusting. Unfortunately, what the chop smithy once was is no longer. Never again. Thanks for the bad food.

Hello, we have eaten or gotten food here several times, the food was usually good. But the last time, my wife had a gyro plate and I had a Holsteiner schnitzel, they outdid themselves. We were invited today and I have to say something about the food, it wasn't particularly good. The fried potatoes were old, oily, sticky and just not good. The Hawaiian schnitzel was a disaster, it was simply cold, the cheese hadn't even melted and it was the first of 8 meals at the table and the others took a long time to eat. Why wasn't the schnitzel baked properly in time, there was none Chef in the kitchen but someone who thinks he can cook, I'll go out on a limb and say that everyone can do it better. The schnitzel wasn't plated properly but just straightened a bit. The vegetables from the children's plate were completely mushy and soft with a Tetra Pack sauce. Service was tried hard, the young lady is also not an expert, she hasn't done that often before as you served us.

I was served very attentively by my colleagues. A reasonable criticism was immediately resolved, very customer-oriented! Gladly again!

Of the three locations, this one has the nicest atmosphere. I don't think the food here is quite as good as at the other locations, but I like coming here for the Gyros Pita. The service is bad. Waiting times are always long. Sometimes I even walked up to the counter to order my food. It takes a while for the food to arrive, even if the shop is empty. To pay, I sometimes went to the cash register myself and was ignored there for a good 10 minutes even though I clearly said that I wanted to pay. The service at the other locations is much warmer and I'm happy to go there even though I live 2 minutes away from Mitteldam.

For me, a completely satisfying nostalgic visit. After 40 years (in 1984 I changed employers, who were within walking distance) I ate the classic that the house stands for. Breaded cutlet with French fries. Plus cola. The price for the menu is absolutely reasonable. The quality, as I remember it, absolute Top. I hope not to let another 40 years go by. I'm 75

Tried lunch today. The plaice fillet felt like a homeopathic dose of fish in the thick breading. The potato salad tasted good, but was too mayonnaise-heavy. Dessert was a spoonful of cherry yogurt with whipped cream in a glass! The service is nice, but we weren't full!

I enjoyed staying here until recently. I got a burger today that was probably worth €2 out of its €7. The bun was grilled so dry that it completely crumbled apart at the first bite. It was also difficult to get through with a fork. Eat somewhere else in the near future.

Gyros already 2 days old. Fries rock hard. Tzatziki sour. Schnitzel tough and dry. Plus stale bread. Conclusion: In the future without us!

On Thursday there was a schnitzel buffet. The restaurant was very busy. The buffet was very tasty and the service was very friendly and quick. Again any time.

Unfortunately, my schnitzel was already very dark. Otherwise it was okay.

Das Essen und der Service ist toll... Wir haben sowohl Essen mitgenommen als auch dort schon gegessen. Schön,dass wir auch die Möglichkeit hatten draußen zu speisen.

Das Essen war leider kalt und die Bratkartoffeln kaum gebraten schmeckte ein bisschen wie aus der Microwelle

Sehr nettes Personal und man wird bestimmt auch satt.

Das Essen schmeckt und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt. Auch der Biergarten ist sehr schön.

Burger war okay, ein wenig enttäuschend für den Preis. An sich war dieser ganz lecker, aber ich würde mehr Wert auf bessere Soßen legen, weil diese wirklich den Geschmack des Burgers übertönt haben.

Vor dem Restaurant ist ein Parkplatz, es ist verkehrsgünstig gelegen. Das Essen war top, super lecker. Werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder hin fahren. Freundliche Bedienung, Preis, Leistung und Ambiente passen auch. Sehr empfehlenswert.
