Unfortunately, I also had a bad experience with customer service regarding a tiny spare part that was not included when I purchased a Latticia OT in July '24. First Melitta told me on the phone that I would like to please send an email with the invoice and a photo of the location of the missing part with a short description, which I did. I received a reply by email after a day, in which I was informed that the electronic part was not to be replaced by myself and that I should send the entire device back to the online retailer because of a missing part of around €6. The E-part is a milk hose holder for around €6 and Melitta is not able to send me one, even for a fee? I feel a little like I'm in kindergarten. The customer service is top notch and I know what I'm talking about because I'm a field service technician myself. It's a statement that Melitta didn't justify, but simply stated, I'm not allowed to do that. It's a shame, you can't win and keep new customers that way! Update from July 30, 2024 I now ordered this hose holder online from a specialist retailer and received it 3 days later. I unpacked it and pushed it into the opening provided in just under 3 seconds, done. Fits, sits, wobbles and has air, as you put it casually. And then I ask myself why, according to “Melitta,” I’m not allowed to install it myself. Unfortunately there is no photo of this small holder, which is just 11x9mm, because uploading didn't work. I wonder what the problem was with the manufacturer sending this to me for a fee?

In June 2018 we purchased a Melitta Caffeo Varianzia CSP fully automatic coffee machine for €499 through the Melitta online shop. We were quite happy with the device for a year, although despite proper care we noticed mold forming behind the brewing group. In October 2019, the coffee spout was obviously blocked and no more coffee came out of the machine. It was therefore sent to a Melitta service center for just under a month and repaired there at Melitta's expense, all good. In the summer of 2020, brown water was suddenly noticed under the machine. After contacting Melitta customer service again, we were informed that the statutory warranty had expired in the meantime (really??) and that now only a paid repair could be considered. Alternatively, they offered to exchange the device for another Melitta machine, whereby the equivalent value of our machine, which was 2 years and 2 months old at the time, would have been around €150. From the manufacturer's point of view, a loss in the value of his machine of around €350 in around two years (more than 2/3 of the purchase price!!) is very worrying for me. Unfortunately, the problem could not be solved satisfactorily for me even after further correspondence with Melitta. Today the machine completely gave up the ghost and a part of the brewing group broke off. We'll look for another device. I'll leave it to the reader's imagination whether this will be from Melitta again... Conclusion: The Melitta fully automatic coffee machine we purchased has served for less than 2 1/2 years. Therefore, there is 1 star for both the quality of the device and especially for Melitta's customer service.

I think my little Melitta Solo is great, but unfortunately the brewing water was in the brewing unit. Customer service asked me to send it in because it was brand new. And then it got annoying. Not only did you have to make phone calls afterwards to get the device back... it took 2 weeks! But what I'm most annoyed about is that the service didn't do anything. Everything should be fine. This is how you can annoy satisfied customers!!!

I'm actually happy with my Melitta coffee machine. Of course, a malfunction or a problem can always occur. So I contacted the customer center and sent in the device. Until then everything was fine. However, the service is obviously outsourced to “Frank Windhorn Hausgeräteservice”. What can I say: despite a detailed description of the error, the device came back exactly as I had sent it in with a succinct comment. Nobody apparently bothered to open the device, inspect it and to analyze and eliminate the described malfunction. This is extremely weak. In the interest of your good reputation and your brand reputation, I advise you to stop using this service provider.

We were proud and happy to buy our first fully automatic machine. To support regional companies, we decided on the Melitta Varianza. The machine has now been repaired four times and we really didn't have any fun with the device, always just anger and fear about whether we would get the next coffee or whether the machine would be defective again. 2 days before the warranty expired it happened again and the machine was defective again. On the phone I asked if it would be possible to get a different model (we would also be willing to give a SMALL amount). About a week later I got my coffee machine back, saying it was just a small error that has now been fixed. However, there was a conversion offer so we could send in our machine and get the machine we wanted at the normal price. I am really very disappointed that it is not possible to show the customer some goodwill and I will probably have to change the manufacturer in the future.

We sent in a 7 year old Caffeo Gourmet machine for repairs. There was no more coffee coming out the front. Beforehand, I announced the repair by phone as it says on the homepage and spoke to a friendly employee. The repair fee of €149 was pointed out, but this is fixed, so no matter what the machine has and what needs to be done, it won't be more than €149. Since we actually had the outer box at home, I received a DHL sticker immediately after the phone call that I could send in free of charge. Otherwise they would have sent me a suitable outer box (also free of charge). I filled out the error description and listed every flaw and defect on the machine here. So the machine was packed and sent to the post office (DHL). A total of 6 positions were replaced according to the invoice, including the brewing unit, the bean container, the front spout, the drive, and the spout sleeve. The cleaning program was also carried out on the machine. We now have a fully functional machine back. Sent on Tue October 19th, received back on Thurs October 28th, only 9 calendar days. Tracking possible at any time via DHL tracking number. Conclusion: Since I wanted to do it myself, this was definitely the better and faster choice. A lot of new parts were installed, the machine works great again, coffee like it was on the first day and hopefully we'll have peace and quiet again for the next few years. A contribution to avoiding waste by repairing old devices instead of throwing them away. Melitta certainly made a mixed calculation with a fixed price of €149, but in our case it was definitely worth it. The offers for a new machine instead of repairs were also quite fair and the prices were all significantly lower than the currently valid online price. I am completely satisfied with the process and the handling. Thanks to Melitta customer service!

I contacted customer service due to defective Swirl garbage bags, and as compensation they sent me bags with a defective bottom (see pictures). When I asked again, described the situation and asked for a solution, the customer service at Melitta Europa GmbH&Co wrote to me. KG, Household Products Division: "We very much regret that you do not agree with our approach to your complaint, but we cannot offer you any other way of dealing with it." The customer is not taken seriously and is dismissed with a standard answer.

My Cremio milk frother is awesome. Great milk foam. Device works quietly and quickly. And the additional function for warm milk, e.g. for cocoa, is also very practical. It's quick to prepare and easy to clean. Also highly recommended as a gift. Milk foam becomes nice and firm if you let the milk rest for a little while after frothing :-)

Very very bad treatment of customers. I bought a fully automatic coffee machine from Melitta. 4 years old and starting to drip. No problem at first, after a while it can happen. Now I would like to repair the part and order replacement parts from Melitta. Not possible on the phone because I don't have any spare part numbers. When I asked if I could get a parts catalog, I was asked if I was a dealer. Of course not. I was offered to send the device in. For a flat rate of €150. But I don't want that. Well, the answer came then I would have been unlucky. And since I've already opened the device, it wouldn't be repaired anymore anyway. I can buy a device from Melitta for over €600 and not get any spare parts. What's wrong with you, what's wrong with you. Conclusion never again Melitta.

I can recommend this company restaurant as a gastronomic insider tip in Minden. Located right next to the Melitta factory outlet and also open to non-employees on weekdays. Here we got a full lunch with dessert and drink for two people for under 20 EUR. Tip: Get a guest card from the machine in the restaurant beforehand, as cash is not accepted at the checkout.

The fourth time, Meltta offered us the opportunity to purchase a better device for an additional charge. We went along with it and the “new” device started leaking after a few years. A seal would have to be replaced. A call to the unfriendly service advisor revealed: There are (officially) no more spare parts available for the machine. Instead, another offer for change. So we should spend about 200 times the value of the replacement part and make an otherwise usable device less harmful to the environment. NOT WITH US! Melitta has obviously not yet understood the signs of the times. That's why: MELITTA NO THANKS!

Customer service has deteriorated... Hello, For several years we have had a Melitta Coffeo Duo, our most important utensil in the kitchen. Yesterday she gave up the ghost for the third time. But hey, technology can also break. But what is very disappointing is the fact that we can no longer pick them up the next day like we did last time (we live in the neighboring town of Minden), but have them sent to us after about 2 weeks! Has the workshop at Melitta also been outsourced to Eastern Europe? A pity... If the machine breaks again we will buy a new one. Unfortunately, the prices were increased and soon became too high. A small mini bowl of mayonnaise 0.60 euros, fries 4 euros, pita gyros 8.90, gyro plate 17.90. That's far too much and guests will eventually drop out and look for alternatives. If these price increases continue like this, sales per year will fall significantly and at some point this chain will also close. Guys, don't screw over the customers. They can't find the money on the street either. Despite all the justifications...
