I was just at the Hirsch. The good old days are over...a moody boss who's no longer interested, and the younger generation is trying but hasn't managed to get the place back on track. There were 8 guests there...at this time 10 years ago, there were 80. My friend had a hard time climbing the stairs with her 14-year-old dog, Six, because he has lame stilts due to his age. When they made it to the very top, there was a sign saying "We have to stay outside." The sign could have been posted downstairs. After a polite inquiry, the answer was a resounding NO. The newly renovated place has a pleasant saloon/western style with plenty of potential for improvement, harking back to the old days, but what good is that if you have a Ferrari in the garage, no driver's license, and prefer to ride a bicycle? Even Otto Rehagel "Rehakles" could have finished. Conclusion: Off to the main station. Regards, Brad Puz
