Ein echter Geheimtipp, super Portion tolles Ambiente und eine super nette, zackige Bedienung. Preise waren sehr moderat.

Riesen Portionen und guter Geschmack trifft auf Qualität und gute Preis. Burger für 21€ reicht für 3 Personen

Schade, schade, schade...., anderer Besitzer, anderer Koch?? Irgendwas ist da passiert 😕. Selten so schlechte Qualität von einem Essen serviert bekommen. Und sehr lieblos angerichtet. Kenne ich aus der Vergangenheit ganz anders. Bierchen im Biergarten geht aber Essen kann ich leider nicht mehr empfehlen. Schade....

Die Schmandsauce zum Schnitzel leider nicht mein Geschmack, da es eine Salatsauce mit Zucker war, zum Salat perfekt, aber auf einem Schnitzel hat sie nichts zu suchen, da gehören Zwiebeln und Speck rein, keine Zuckersauce. Service, topp Ambiente, sehr schön

Konnten uns von der Qualität des Essens leider nicht überzeugen, da wir kein Bargeld dabei hatten. Bei den heutigen Preisen empfinden wir es als Unding nicht mit Karte zahlen zu können. Sehr schade.

Hey Leute, wenn ihr einen schönen Biergarten mit deftigen Portionen und moderaten Preisen sucht, dann seid ihr hier genau richtig. Eine ordentliche Portion erwartet euch, frisch zubereitet und echt lecker. Ich kann es nur weiter empfehlen und würde gerne wieder dort essen, wenn wir mal wieder in der Nähe sind. Top macht weiter so. Ich würde locker mehr Sterne geben, wenn das gehen würde. Vielen Dank

Wir waren am vergangenen Sonnabend zum Steak essen. Da ich mein Steak am liebsten durchgebraten esse, Habe ich bereits bei der Bestellung darum gebeten, es auch wirklich durchzubraten. Als mein Steak ankam, habe ich es angeschnitten und auch die Bedienung hat festgestellt, dass es im Kern noch eher roh ist. Die Bedienung war total freundlich und hat den Teller wieder mitgenommen. Bisher alles gut. Als ich den Teller zurückbekommen habe, waren die Pommes Kalt und hart. Die in einem extra Schälchen Serviette Sauce, hatte mittlerweile eine leichte Haut. Da ich dies extrem unprofessionell finde, kann ich leider nur drei Sterne geben. Aber wie gesagt, die Bedienung war sehr freundlich.

Da der Besuch im Winter ist und daher kein Biergarten-Wetter ist, war es auch so gut dort. Das Essen ist gut und ausreichende Portionen. Preislich auch ok. Personal freundlich.

We were at the Koppenretscher Wirt in mid-September. Incredible people! Go there if you're in the area! I never thought I'd get a delicious schnitzel anywhere! The service, the ambiance, the food—everything was perfect. I devoured a schnitzel with onions, fried potatoes, and salad. The meat was tender, cooked to perfection, and a taste sensation. The braised onions on the schnitzel were fresh, as were the fried potatoes and salad. I usually only manage small portions, but I completely cleaned my plate, it was so delicious. There's no way around it if you value a good schnitzel!

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place. Deep-fried ribs are a no-go. The same goes for my wife's schnitzel.

We ate there several times during our vacation. The food is delicious and the portions are huge, so come hungry. It's lovely and cozy to sit outside in the garden. A big compliment to the very friendly staff. We'll definitely be back.

We, two recent retirees who were still riding our motorcycles until two years ago and who often stopped in here, even for company parties after a canoe trip, will definitely not be coming back! We arrived at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025. We were seated at table 7 and wanted something to eat. Neither the manager nor the waiter, with his positive attitude and slurping gait, paid us any attention for about 30 minutes. Neither of us knows why, because no one asked us if we wanted something to eat or drink! The beer garden wasn't full! As a guest, I don't have to approach anyone! I'm 64 and have never experienced such arrogance in my life; it's really damaging to business! I don't know what these people think they're doing! They firmly believe things will continue like this, but without us! And we've lost two more guests!

The beer garden is recommended for a drink. The burger I had was pretty bad, dry, and apparently not freshly prepared, but rather frozen. Also, they don't serve cappuccino, only coffee.

⸻ Disappointing visit – unfortunately, not a recommendation Four of us ate at this restaurant and were unfortunately very disappointed overall. The salad contained dry carrots that didn't seem very fresh. The schnitzel was also not delicious – the breading wasn't crispy, but soft and practically dissolved on the plate. The fries were extremely greasy and not very appetizing. The herring was also particularly disappointing: two small pieces of fish were "hidden" under an excessive amount of sauce – the ratio was completely wrong. The price was also unjustified – both the food and drinks were too expensive for the quality served. Overall, we unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant.

We called at short notice and got a table. We enjoyed the food; the portions were generous, tasty, and reasonably priced.

The schnitzels are great. The beer price is quite high at €5.10 for the area. We'd happily go back.

Very tasty food with a lovely atmosphere. I think it's great that there are still older inns like this one.

finally a golden roast crust and tender, juicy ribs with actually a lot of meat between the bones, from which it slides off like butter, not over-seasoned without an unnecessarily sugary BBQ marinade...as it should be, but unfortunately a big exception these days. Prices are also extremely fair. The potato side dishes were also delicious. The side salad was puny, but you can order it separately. Angus and sauces are not worth mentioning, but it is not a designated steakhouse and unfortunately it came medium instead of English. Unfortunately, the cream-based sauces were not to my taste at all. Location is great and the homestead with beer garden is pretty. The landlady and waiter were friendly. Conclusion: World-class ribs, poor steak, avoid mushroom cream and pepper cream. Would return.

Ambiance is very nice, service was good too! However, our schnitzels were just greasy and not crispy! The mushroom cream sauce tastes very much like a finished product! Priced too expensive!

The atmosphere is a bit “old-fashioned”, rather rustic. Unfortunately, I personally didn't like the Schmandschnitzel that much, but that's probably a matter of taste. Otherwise great service, clean restaurant and the toilets were also very clean. 🙂

We went there for a buffet dinner at Christmas. We waited at long tables in a kind of hall. It was very narrow and also full. The buffet was very great, plenty of choice and everything was very tasty. The goose was extremely tender and the rest also tasted delicious. The service was also quick. We had a soup in advance, which unfortunately resembled a strong, watery gravy. Which really wasn't tasty. Otherwise the food was good.

Actually a nice beer garden, at least in terms of the atmosphere. Unfortunately they were sent away again because it was just after 7 p.m. and they said it was already too late to order food. According to the menu, warm food is served until 8 p.m. We were very disappointed, especially since we had already been there the evening before, had a beer, and had already announced ourselves for dinner the next evening. And such a bankruptcy on a Saturday evening - what can you say, a real disappointment. Just to note, the beer garden wasn't fully occupied. There were still a few tables free. Don't worry, we definitely won't come back!

The “giant burger” was far too big, impossible to make and the meat was too cooked. Would have been edible without the curry sauce. The burger bun was not tasty. The other dishes seem ok. We were here a few years ago and my impressions were much better.

Totally delicious, beautiful beer garden

Steak was rare instead of medium as ordered. After asking for improvement, the steak came back still bloody and raw on the inside, but dry on the outside and difficult to cut, with cold side dishes. The steak was inedible! There was no apology when it was returned and the full price was charged! Never again. Mass production with XXL 0815 products.

Rustic inn with a beautiful beer garden and delicious Schmeggerwöhlerchens. We particularly liked the super warm hospitality.

As always, the service was very nice and friendly. Unfortunately, the food is no longer of the quality that we were used to. The fried potatoes we ordered were not crispy, very soggy, lukewarm and fried in a lot of fat. The Waldecker Schmandschnitzel were also better. The vegetable meatball & fries with paprika sauce, on the other hand, was very tasty and good 👍. The beer garden was very cozy again, thank you for the lovely evening.

Unfortunately everything is just 0815. A lot of TK in my opinion. The service was fine and there is enough parking space. It's fine for a beer in the beer garden but nothing more. In my opinion the quality has decreased.

We were outside and ate schnitzel. Both the ambience and the food are convincing. Ambiance: Great outdoor areas, very large and clean toilets, nice indoor area. Food: The schnitzels are crispy, the fries are world class and the salad is also great. We'd love to come back.

Food very tasty and well prepared. No deep fryer kitchen. Portions plentiful. Unfortunately, drinks were “stale” and relatively too expensive. Ambience average, unfortunately very loud. Service unfortunately only two stars. Treatment very “friendly” and e.g. T. inappropriate comments. But conclusion: good food - repetition cannot be ruled out. Maybe something to take with you.

Getting a table with 7 people on Sunday had no problem. Friendly service and the food didn't take long to arrive. The portions are very generous, so even those who are hungry will be full 😃 Plus, everyone tasted great. We will be returning there soon.

Very good and cool store. We ate there twice during our vacation. Everything was very tasty, large portions (selection of schnitzel and steak 200 / 400 / 600 gr.!!! - great!), meat and all side dishes were very tasty. The price is actually very reasonable given the large portions (600 grams of steak including side dishes around 38 euros, that's a great price.) Various. Beers on tap, quick and friendly service, dogs no problem. We'd love to come back when we're nearby. Keep it up!
