It's recently become our absolute favorite restaurant. The hostess is super friendly, the atmosphere is cozy, and the food is excellent. We recommend the salad with warm goat cheese and the tarte flambée with Parma ham, Parmesan cheese, and arugula. We're already looking forward to summer, as there are some cozy outdoor seating right in the heart of Werden's old town.

We went out to eat and drink with a group of friends in this cozy and beautiful little shop and were treated to excellent food and delicious drinks. The owner and her team make every effort to make the guests feel comfortable. This worked perfectly in our case! The food was delicious and so was the wine. Food super tasty. Staff very friendly and really cute shop. There were two of us there. Ordered two tarte flambées with special requests. Waited 1 hour for the food and got tarte flambée, which fulfilled our special wishes and completely filled us up. Because the shop is small and a few guests can come together, it was a little louder for us. Conversations could still take place well. Since you don't have to sit there for hours, this is only a minor problem when there are a lot of visitors. But the staff is very nice and warm. We'll definitely be back!

Service was nice, but absolutely overwhelmed. A group was sent away despite reservations because there was no space. We waited about 1 hour 45 for the food (4 tarte flambées). Tasted ok, could have stayed in the oven for a while. Way too much arugula and two tarte flambées were missing an ingredient. It was a rather unsuccessful visit, we would have preferred to eat somewhere else. We won't come again, it's a shame, previous photos/reviews looked good. You couldn't hang up jackets either because one hook was already occupied.

SO amazing! The entire experience was exquisite. Sitting at big, strong French farm tables (or outside on the brick patio) on fluffy pillows, surrounded by beautiful art, colorful fresh flowers, and a big window open to the sunshine… And I haven't even told you how wonderful the food is! The Flammkuchen was a thin pizza. I imagine that if I ever get to heaven, the one with the salmon and avocado will be on offer. Wow! Just an amazing experience all around. Delightful service. Use Google Translate if needed for the fresh and healthy menu including huge salads. Bon apetite!

We were there for the first time about six months ago and it was great in every respect. We were there again yesterday and were extremely disappointed. Neither the service nor the food were even remotely sufficient. I have never experienced such a lack of basic customs in the service and the food and ingredients were absolutely dispassionate and unsatisfactory. I mean absolutely no harm to the owners and would be happy to come back as long as the original quality of service and food is restored, but after yesterday's experience I'm annoyed about every euro I left there. A place with charm – very cozy furnishings! There was a large selection of food and drinks. The tarte flambées were freshly prepared and leave nothing to be desired. The service was warm and courteous. As a guest, I felt welcome and comfortable here. After paying there was even some sweets. Gladly again! :-)

Auf der Karte finden sich keine als vegan gekennzeichneten Speisen. Auf Nachfrage kann man aber einen Flammkuchen und Salat vegan bekommen. Meiner war der vegetarische ohne Käse und mit veganem Schmand. Er war mit viel Gemüse belegt und allgemein lecker. Der Schmand hätte etwas besser gewürzt sein können. Man kann auch Kaffee mit Soja- oder Hafermilch bestellen.

Das Komma Essen ist sehr entspannt in der werdener Fußgängerzone gelegen. Die Bedienung war super nett. Die Flammkuchen die wir hatten, waren riesig und so üppig belegt wie ichs selten gesehen habe. PS an alle die schreiben "Kartenzahlung nicht möglich" und in den Bewertungen ein Fass aufmachen... direkt beim Eingang ist ein Schild. So schwer kanns nicht sein.

Wir waren heute mit 13 Senioren zu Gast. Die Begeisterung für die Mühe, die sich gegeben wurde, damit alle sich wohlfühlten und das liebevoll vorbereitete und zubereitete Essen genießen konnten, wird uns noch lange begleiten. Wir kommen gern wieder. Danke für den tollen Abend.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Kellnerin war freundlich. Warum also nur 3 Punkte: der Service war nicht perfekt und die Wartezeit war doch sehr lange. Den 2. Punkt ziehe ich ab weil keine Kartenzahlung möglich war. Mein Hinweis, dass darauf nicht aufmerksam gemacht wurde, wurde lapidar mit „um die Ecke ist eine Sparkasse“ beantwortet. Ich erwarte heutzutage die Möglichkeit einer Kartenzahlung.

Wir haben Flammkuchen gegessen, war sehr lecker. Kommen gern wieder!

Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist nicht perfekt. Flammkuchen in vegetarisch für 14,90€ hatte einen geringen Sättigungsgrad. Dazu war das Gemüse/Creme fraiche stellenweise verbrannt. Der Rest vom Flammkuchen war ganz lecker. Der Teig war sehr dünn, luftig und kross. Der Rand vom Flammkuchen (16,90€) meiner Freundin war sehr dunkelbraun und kaum genießbar. Fazit: So viel Geld ausgeben hat sich nicht wirklich gelohnt.

Superleckere Flammkuchen mit freundlicher Bedienung in einer idyllischen Altstadtgasse - wir waren begeistert!

Ich bin auf dem Ruhrtalradweg hier vorbeigekommen. Obwohl ich in Essen wohne, kannte ich diese Location bisher nicht. Ein sehr schön eingerichtetes kleines Restaurant mit Liebe zum Detail. Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Ich hatte einen Flammkuchen mit Lauch. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Sowohl die Flammkuchen als auch Crepes kann ich jedem empfehlen. Zudem ist die Chefin genauso nett und hilfsbereit wie ihre Mitarbeiterinnen.

Waren heute mit 23 Wanderer/innen in der Werdener Altstadt, bei Komma Essen, eingekehrt. Wir haben uns rechtzeitig angemeldet und ein Einheitsessen vereinbart. Zuerst gab es leckeres Brot mit gesalzener Butter und 3 unterschiedliche Salate. Danach dann unterschiedliche Flammkuchen für Alle. Egal welche Variante , alles Saulecker und die beiden Damen überaus freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Die Gasse, in der das Restaurant liegt, ist recht schön. Von außen sieht es auch ansprechend aus. Deswegen sind wir dort eingekehrt. Noch einmal dorthin würden wir aber nicht gehen. Das Essen war okay, aber überteuert. Eine Auswahl an Essen und Trinken war nicht mehr verfügbar. Wir wurden nicht darauf hingewiesen, dass ein Teil unseres Essens, was wir bestellt hatten, nicht mehr vorrätig war. Als wir freundlich nachfragten, bekamen wir eine unfreundliche Antwort, mit der wir uns zufrieden geben mussten. Die Bedienungen wirkten überfordert.

Unsere Kids hatten sich beide einen klassischen Flammkuchen ohne Zwiebeln bestellt. Beide waren schwarz vor Pfeffer und wirklich ungenießbar. Da der Rest unserer Bestellung super war, haben wir das mit dem Pfeffer ganz nett angesprochen. Aus der Küche kam ein eher unfreundliches "das muss so sein". (wohlgemerkt war auf unseren Flammkuchen überhaupt kein Pfeffer) Erst nach mehrfacher Ansprache hat uns die bemühte Kellnerin als Ersatz für zwei ganze ungenießbare Flammkuchen einen halben neu gebracht. Da man uns dann bei der Abrechnung beide voll berechnet hat, haben wir es angesprochen und gesagt bekommen, dass man schließlich den einen halben nicht berechnet hat. Erneut kam aus der Küche, dass man immer sehr viel Pfeffer draufmachen würde. Die Frage nach der Geschäftsführung wurde mit "die ist nicht da, macht aber noch mehr Pfeffer drauf!" beantwortet. Obwohl wir das Recht hätten für beide einen vollen Ersatz zu erhalten oder zumindest diese aus der Berechnung fallen zu lassen, haben wir die Diskussion hier abgebrochen um uns den Tag nicht noch mehr zu verderben. Bei einem Bon von knapp 120,00 EUR erwarte ich mehr als eine patzige Antwort! PS: Den Hinweis, dass man nur bar zahlen kann, haben während unseres Aufenthaltes 2 weitere Gäste nicht gesehen und mussten erst eine Bank suchen. Echt schade, da der Rest lecker war! Aber es steht und fällt mit dem Service, da es in Werden reichlich Alternativen gibt!

Man wird am Empfang nicht begrüßt und einfach ignoriert und es waren nur 2 oder 3 Tische besetzt. Der Appetit ist sofort vergangen.

So ein schnuckeliger, schöner, kleiner Laden. Der Service ist ausgezeichnet, das Essen eine Wucht! Die Dekoration spricht von ungeheurer Liebe zum Lädchen. Herrlich!

Bei unserer Städtetour durch Essen-Werden entdeckten wir in einer kleinen Seitengasse Kaffee „Komma essen“ in einem schönen Denkmalgeschützen Gebäude. Wir haben uns einen Kaffee und einen Espresso gegönnt. Beides schmeckte sehr gut und die Bedienung war sehr freundlich.

Leider wurden wir bei der Bezahlung im Komma recht unfreundlich darauf hingewiesen, dass keine Kartenzahlung möglich sei. Bei einer Rechnung von über 100 Euro ist es schon fast anmaßend zu erwarten in bar zu bezahlen. Der Hinweis, dass dies deutlich gekennzeichnet sei, lässt sich nur relativ nachvollziehen, wie dem Foto zu entnehmen ist. Unglücklicherweise vergrault man sich so auch seine Kunden für das nächste Mal und erweckt einen unprofessionellen Eindruck. Der Besitzer oder die Besitzerin sollte hier unbedingt nachbessern.
