Delicious food, great service… just great! 😉

Excellent service! My wishes and concerns were discussed and implemented with great care. Since I am very picky due to my special diet for health reasons, it is almost impossible for me to eat out. I wanted to make an exception for my wife's birthday - and everything was perfect, without a single mistake. Many thanks to the friendly staff and the warm boss, with whom I contacted in advance via email. All wishes and needs were taken into account as best as possible. Even if it was not 100% possible to completely avoid contact with vegetable oils, they did their best. A special thanks to Ms. Ling for the great service!

Fantastic food, every time. Also every time: waiting despite a reservation, being forced to leave even though you arrived after 7:30 p.m. without being informed in advance - especially since the website clearly states that there is no longer a time limit after 7:30 p.m. We've probably been to the Koi 6-8 times and every time the ambience is spoiled by the overcrowding and the resulting unrest. Please take the numerous reviews to heart and don't let your great restaurant go to waste.

Were there today on Sunday around 4 p.m. without a table reservation, were greeted nicely and assigned to the table. The menu has a good selection of food and drinks. I decided on a ramen soup and it was really DELICIOUS! 😋 Ambiance was nice, staff friendly and helpful. We left a tip of €4.30. WE WOULD LOVE TO COME AGAIN!🙂

The two of us had dinner at Koi. When you make your online reservation and then when you enter the restaurant, you will be informed of the maximum length of stay of 90 minutes. But that's not necessary at all. After 30 minutes we were finished with starters and main courses. So we cannot confirm long waiting times. For us it felt like mass processing. Never experienced anything like this in a restaurant. Tables are way too narrow. It was also sticky, as were the menus. Main courses are put on the table even though the starters have not yet been eaten. Starter was okay so far. The announced scallop was completely missing from the main course. Vegetables were almost raw and without any taste. Overall the food was very bland... Our conclusion: Price/performance doesn't fit here at all... Unfortunately not recommended for a leisurely meal on Saturday evening

Dubious and not recommended: Despite having a reservation, we first had to wait outside for 10 minutes, were then shown to a table, and another 5 minutes later we were asked to give up the table again and sit somewhere else. Overall, the seating in the restaurant is very tight and very loud: making a lot of sales seems to have a higher priority than comfort. Four of us went there to eat sushi. Four different types of sushi were prepared differently than stated on the menu: some with cream cheese, although cream cheese was not listed on the menu, salmon with asparagus was not flambéed, although it was stated that way on the menu. Communication with the staff was extremely difficult; three service staff's knowledge of German was so inadequate that they were referred to other people. Only the fourth person largely understood what we were complaining about. To be fair, we were then given a small discount. What was strange for a restaurant of this size was that they only accepted cash. Conclusion: the store seemed dubious to us...

Very nice restaurant, top food and nice conditions

Food was really good. There are no objections here. BUT!! We were forced to leave because the table needed to be used again. We weren't even allowed to drink anymore. This just ruins the evening!

Chic restaurant with good food and a diverse selection. The menu (actually two cards - a sushi and a 'normal' menu) is far, far too big. If you don't know what you like beforehand, it can be difficult. And the fact that you can only stay for 90 minutes doesn't make it any easier. The service was friendly and on point. The dishes were visually excellently prepared and tasted good. What's annoying given the price level is that no card payment was possible. Apparently only that day - but two weeks later the note is still hanging on the window.

Large portions and visually appealing, but a bowl and Asian food generally depends on the quality of the ingredients used and they were lousy: little aromatic fish, unripe fruit, edamame was completely missing. In addition, it is extremely poorly seasoned. No recommendation! Addendum: Positive - At least an answer came and took the honest and constructive criticism as a reason for improvement.

Food great, but card payment only possible contactless. If PIN is required, the card will be rejected immediately.

One star for all because they don’t serve customers dining alone. STOP THE BLAMING GAME in your response. Nobody ever mentioned about reservation (neither in German nor in English) and the request of speaking with the manager was simply brushed off.

Very friendly staff and friendly service and friendly atmosphere at KOI. The food was very good!

The Suhi was very delicious (Combow set: Sweet love for 2), but the truth is that the Bowl was not one of my favorites (the one in the photo is the Super Bowl Seafood Don) for me the flavors of the dish did not combine well, it had a sauce like with soy sauce and the salad had a different flavor that, when combined, didn't work out so well for me. The atmosphere is very nice and the workers are very friendly and attentive.

As a frequent customer of Asian supermarket, I am 100% sure most of their hot starters are frozen premade food, and the inner content of dim sum was even cold when served to our table. The eel and duck also taste like canned food. Service is also under average level, no one retrieved empty dishes on our table, and they asked us to change table without any reason. Anyway, if you want to deny my accusation of using premade food, I would only say OK, whatever.

Food is good, but the service took an incredibly long time. We had to wait over 30 minutes for drinks alone and about an hour for food. The smell in the restaurant was rather unpleasant

Food was ok but very small portions for the price, I've had better in terms of taste. With around 60% of tables occupied, service is below average. You didn't get a menu for 30 minutes, you generally had to wait forever and friendly was another thing.

We were passing through and were there a second time after the first evening. Ramen, sushi, appetizers and drinks - all delicious and very fresh and high quality!

It's best never to order online here I selected the time 12:15 to pick up ramen to go 1 hour in advance get to the restaurant on time of course you think if you order an hour in advance the restaurant can expect you to arrive at 12:15 and you can have the food pick up pusteluchen now had to wait 25 minutes for my food after the actual pick up time.

Beer was not filled to the calibration mark Card payment only possible from 25€. Had to make a special trip to the bank to pay the bill.

I was in this restaurant yesterday with my partner. We ordered one soup and 8 pieces of sushi. We were the first ones at 5:00 p.m. When 45 minutes had passed and we still hadn't received any food, we spoke to the waitress. All other guests came later and got their food earlier. We then got our food after 50 minutes. I wanted the menu again but I never received it. Service was a disaster and the food wasn't good either. I don't recommend going to this restaurant, it's not worth it!!!

The food was good, the service was quick and attentive. Everything wonderful. I had the 51, at first I thought it wasn't much, but the rice was filling. My companion's veggie ramen was also very tasty 😄

Really nice, modern restaurant near the Regensburg main station. We had two starters as a midday snack. The food was very fresh and tasty. The service was friendly and accommodating. Prices are around €15-25 per person. There is a nice outdoor area with chairs. Conclusion: very tasty, would love to come back.

Beautiful restaurant with very friendly service. Gluten-free food was no problem, the staff knew their stuff and fulfilled all requests. There was even extra gluten-free soy sauce! Gladly again!

The secret of the place is a high quality rice. Good prices on lunch menu. We sat at the summer garden outside tables and we enjoyed it alot.

Large Asian restaurant on the edge of the pedestrian zone. The ambience is very nice, it was just a bit noisy. The sushi was good. The service was okay. Our food came super quickly and came before the drinks but otherwise everything was fine. You should make a reservation on the weekend

We have never had such amazing Asian food anywhere!! We love it and enjoy coming here from Bayreuth because the quality of the food is excellent! Delicious food, fast and nice service. Price-performance ratio is right

Went for lunch on a Sunday with 4 people, had plenty of space and only had to wait a short time for drinks. We had sushi, soup, curry, long drinks and house lemonade and can really recommend everything across the board. The presentation of the dishes is very appetizing and there is no need to hide the taste at all. We will come by again!

KOI 1984 is a mix of Asian and Spanish tapas, perfectly executed. I recommend EVERYONE to stop by here and eat your way through the menu. There are also normal Asian and many vegan dishes ;)

I often come here for lunch and everything is always good. The sushi is great! Fresh, lots of fish and little rice. Just like good sushi should be. The other dishes were always great too. I haven't had a negative experience here yet.

Koi 1984 offers a diverse selection of dishes from various Asian cuisines. The quality of the food is excellent and the portions are generous. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable for the quality offered. Overall, I had a very positive impression of this restaurant and would definitely recommend it.

The interior design is chic, bright and modern. In style it is not glamorous - luxurious. But I only saw it from a seat outside.

The food and service were good considering the number of visitors. Unfortunately, the ambience was a bit unpleasant due to the narrowness and the fact that the restaurant was full to the last chair and there was car traffic on the other side.

I recently visited this restaurant and had an overall great experience. Not only was the food delicious, but it was also served surprisingly quickly. Every dish was excellently prepared and tasted to the point. I was particularly impressed by the fresh ingredients and the loving presentation of the dishes. The drinks were also excellent. The selection was varied and there was something for every taste. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. All in all, a great visit that I would happily repeat. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

I visited the “KOI 1984” again after a year, after my first visit had left a very positive impression. The last time I visited, I noticed the sticky wooden tables negatively, and this time it was the same again. This could either be due to the glaze reacting with the cleaning agent or the type of cleaning itself. Eat: The main course wasn't bad, but compared to last time it wasn't convincing and was a bit bland and dry. The summer rolls were very tasty, but the overly seasoned sauce made them almost inedible. The wakame salad, which was well seasoned and tasty, deserves a positive mention. Drinks and service: The cocktails were, as before, excellent. The service was friendly and efficient. Conclusion: While the cocktails and service were impressive, the quality of the food declined compared to the previous year. Overall the visit was okay, but not as good as last time.

One of the very best restaurants in town!

The owner's dog leaves poop and other treats in the restaurant. I don't even want to talk about the backyard with live animals like crabs and ducks.

Food is lovely, I recommend the bowls, escpecially the bowl with duck meat. The staff is very friendly and the location is very beautiful I wholeheartedly recommend!!

The sushi 🍣 was good 😊 and I personally like it classic way without all the mayonnaise. The DJ bowl was ok but think better to just stick to sushi here.

Super delicious Asian fusion cuisine. Fresh vegetables, delicious seafood. We really enjoyed the octopus. Lemonades were great too. There are enough seats at lunchtime but it is important to reserve in the evening.

Fish platter was amazing!!! I've never eaten such tender octopus. The cocktails were also really, really good. Price performance is completely okay.

Really underrated in my opinion. Really good Asian food that is second to none in Regensburg. Maxstrasse is sometimes just a bit... difficult, but beautiful inside. Gladly and soon again!

Unfortunately, the Koi 1984 offers very poor value for money. The KOI 1984 generally uses good ingredients that COULD be of convincing quality. HOWEVER, when it comes to sushi, the grain and seasoning of the rice is not good. This isn't particularly professional or even exceptional sushi... but unfortunately it's outrageously expensive. The other dishes are similar: mediocre and overpriced. Example: Salad Lover with beef fillet: here you have the beef fillet as a highlight - really good. But the salad is disappointing: small, weak and hardly any dressing - extra dressing (a mini soy bowl) costs €2 extra. Considering the price of the salad at €20, it's a real disgrace. Conclusion: well thought out and ultimately poorly done. On the surface it's okay - but none of the food is all around good. Unfortunately, this feeling also applies to the overall concept. Hospitality definitely looks different. After an hour and a half you have to leave the table on the weekend. At a table next to us we even noticed that the couple had to leave, even though they hadn't even had their cocktails yet. You can perhaps do this at a fast food restaurant, but not in a restaurant where - in our case - you get a meal plus 2 drinks for a price of €112 for 2 people. The tiny tables are far too close together, the service is (mostly) friendly but chaotic. Despite having a reservation, we once waited 45 minutes for a table in the summer. This time we were implemented. So you can't sit comfortably and feel comfortable or feel welcome in the KOI 1984... Conclusion: Errors and little annoyances everywhere. Far too expensive for that.

Great selection and GREAT food. The map takes some getting used to. Be sure to make a reservation as it gets busy at peak times.

My husband and I were excited to try this place and one night while he was on a business trip I went here for dinner by myself. The food was good but honestly it was overshadowed by the fact that the table was tiny and I had a coat, bag, ect… plus the dinner, water, wine, and my space was so small - when I started putting on my coat and getting my bag to pay the bill I accidentally knocked over the wine glass and it broke- normal right? I mean, inconvenient but totally normal. Well when the bill came the server charged me 5 euro for the glass!!!!!!! I mean are you kidding me?!?!?! I just paid it bc my German language skills aren’t the best and went home. When my husband heard this he was furious bc who wouldn’t be?! So unheard of. He when there and told the manager and he immediately returned the money. I’m sure the server decided this on her own but still unacceptable.

Food was very tasty. Delicious cocktails. The food and drinks were quite a sight to behold. Service absolutely good. It was very warm in the restaurant and the tables for two were very close together. It was a bit too cozy for me with the neighboring tables.

An absolute disappointment. From the outside it looks very tempting. But as soon as we got comfortable at our table, the whole atmosphere became questionable due to the sticky table. We were handed the menus and not even asked for drinks. Then we ordered everything together, drinks and food, which wasn't actually a bad thing. After about 10 minutes the food arrived (starters with main course and drinks at the same time) I'm not usually picky, but it was by far the worst prepared tofu, consistency like jelly. Once and never again, just because of the rice that is served with it. This is my first one star review on Google. Short update: KOI 1984 filed a complaint against my review, claiming I was never there! I really wish that I had never visited the store. Unfortunately, me and my family actually went there and really regretted it afterwards!

Table was a bit sticky. Drinks were only served at the same time as food...I ordered a soup and it was served to me after the main course? No card payment possible? In terms of taste, well... So sorry, but I couldn't give this more stars, the disappointment was too great. All that glitters is not gold... UPDATE Apparently a company was hired here to improve Google reviews, and you get an email saying that you were never there or that everything is somehow made up... well... unfortunately I was there and my review is actually very short caught. But everything that is in there is also true. Stay away from agencies that are supposed to improve Google reviews. Here's some non-binding advice - you can improve your rating by making an effort and delivering clean performance.

We are on a short trip for a weekend in Regensburg. Today we noticed this place very positively. We were unannounced at the entrance and needed a comfortable table for two people. We saw that it was very busy and therefore didn't think we would get a table. The waitress/boss did everything she could to provide us with a table. The service is great here and the food is also delicious. We liked it very much. My wife and I are thrilled!

We went to the restaurant on March 22, 2024 without a reservation and still got a seat. We felt very comfortable. The food was fantastic and really well prepared. Since a larger group came, we were asked politely if we would also like to move. That wasn't a problem for us. Nevertheless, as a thank you, we received a plate of ice cream at the end at the house's expense. That was also so delicious! We'd love to come back!

An experience.... We were there last night. It was awesome. The food tasted really good and was beautifully prepared. We were just really happy there. :-) We were served very courteously and charmingly and enjoyed it very much. We'll definitely be back. Absolute recommendation! I think the food could be quite good. Unfortunately I've been waiting for it for 2 hours 😅 Ok sushi was very good, unfortunately I was very disappointed with the main course (curry with duck). The duck's skin was not edible and its consistency was comparable to a piece of silicone from the shower. The curry itself was very, very neutrally spiced. Unfortunately, I have to reduce this review to one star because this company cannot handle criticism and only tries to have the review deleted through their lawyer. They claim that I was never a guest, so here is a photo of me in the restaurant with the said not so good curry

We really liked it, beautiful interior and delicious food.

We recently had a meal there and I really have to praise the food - it is exceptional, beautifully presented and very tasty. Unfortunately booking the tables was a disaster. We made reservations for 8:30 p.m. and stood outside the door in the cold for a full 20 minutes (along with other people who also had reservations for 8:30 p.m.) before we were even registered. Afterwards we were told that our table wasn't ready yet, which was at 8:55 p.m. We were then given a bottle of mineral water and the map. We asked the guests who were sitting at our table: they were booked from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., but didn't know that they were supposed to leave at 8:30 p.m. and didn't get their food until shortly before 8 p.m ... that was an extremely unpleasant situation for all of us. We were close to just leaving. Because we had waited so long, we decided to take the table when it finally became available. We didn't regret it, the food was served after 10 minutes and was really, really good. The staff was very attentive and friendly. However, I would advise against going during peak hours.

Sehr modernes Asiatisches Restaurant mit ansprechender Inneneinrichtung. Essen ist teils sehr ausgefallen und Geschmacklich sehr gut. Die Größe der Portionen ist sehr überschaubar vor allem für den Preis. Die Nachspeise war leider ein Reinfall. Alles in allem ein guter Asiate mit Luft nach oben. Service war sehr nett und schnell.

Zeitfenster von nur 1,5 Stunden und darauf wird mehrfach hingewiesen. Auf unser Wasser mussten wir 30 min. warten. Es kam dann zeitgleich mit der Vorspeise. Gebrauchtes Besteck soll man bitte unbedingt behalten und nach dem Essen sofort zahlen. Fastfood gepaart mit schlechten Manieren. Nie wieder.
