Kneitinger Keller in Regensburg

Very nice beer garden, lots of shade from the trees. Even though it's right on the street, it's still quiet. There are a few parking spaces directly on the property, otherwise you can easily find parking on the two side streets. Service was good, I didn't eat there, but everything looked good on the plates. The prices are in the middle range. Unfortunately we were there last weekend, the Kneitinger Keller will now be closed for renovations for a year. I'm excited to see what happens next

Was in the Kneitinger Galgenbergst. Everything is full with parking spaces, but the journey was worth it. Food great, staff great, beer garden great, the Kneitinger should actually get 5 + stars. Price-performance ratio is also very good.

Old memories refreshed... nice beer garden. I used to be here 1-2 times a week when the weather was nice. Beer still good, food was OK too. I remember the prices being more student-friendly. If I'm in RGBG again in the summer, I'll be happy to do it again

This beer garden used to be a hit in Regensburg. Unfortunately, the tenants often changed, which affected everything a little. Food is ok so far, but the prices are tough. The service is so mediocre because something is often forgotten and you often have to ask where what you ordered is.

Typical Bavarian beer garden - like in all Regensburg beer gardens: old chestnut trees. Service is friendly and quick. I enjoyed it very much. Schnitzel Viennese style. The portion is huge. Also ideal with children: playground available. Good parking options

Food didn't come for 45 minutes, then the dish was out. Later, after asking for payment, nothing again for 30 minutes. Waitress overwhelmed, head waitress rude. Disastrous service!

The food is ok. Ambience due to the proximity to Galgenbergstr. not my thing. Nice playground. Biggest personal drawback: No wheat beer.

esst auf keinen fall den großen salatteller mit camembert! außer grünem salat ist quasi nichts drauf, dazu ein winziger gebackener camembert und die (halbe!) preiselbeerbirne kommt aus der dose. zusammen mit drei stückchen baguette kostet das ganze 15,50 euro. unverschämtheit! als wir die verantwortlichen drauf ansprachen, dass auf dem beilagensalat zum burger mehr verschiedene salate drauf seien, als auf dem großen salatteller (nämlich kraut und gurke), kam bloß ein achselzucken. kundenservice sieht anders aus! ps: eh kaum fleischloses auf der karte!

The atmosphere is of course great. The waiter was very personable, although a bit quickly overwhelmed. The sausage salad is simply an outrage, a rip-off of the customer. There's nothing on the plate but ask for prices for at least two. Never again Kneitinger. If that's the best for the Regensburg resident then good night. The hot dishes looked okay but the prices. Well, if you want to pay... I already know better addresses.

The beer garden itself is very nice, especially on very warm days. The food is average but nothing special. Unfortunately the service is subpar. We were a group of 8 people. First she lost the piece of paper with the food order and when the food came we didn't see her anymore. We sat there with empty glasses for probably three quarters of an hour. The best thing came at the end when we collected the money. She complained when we wanted to pay separately because then she had to do the math. Out of 8 people, she added the numbers incorrectly 3 times. As you can read in the other reviews, she apparently does this more often. Only when we did the math ourselves did she give us back the money we had paid too much. It's really a shame the beer garden had real potential.

Beer garden, food, beer just a dream

The beer garden is beautiful with old trees and natural shade, as I know it from my childhood. What we didn't like at all was that we didn't feel welcome. We were there spontaneously after a funeral with around 20 people. It was clear to us that if we didn't make a reservation, we might not get a seat. When the waiter asked us if we had made a reservation and we said no, he looked quite annoyed. When we got to the restaurant everything was empty, a few seats were reserved and since it was raining the beer garden was sparsely occupied. The waiter was extremely annoyed and unfriendly and when we said we would pay separately, he snorted and rolled his eyes, was probably in a bad mood, anything but customer friendly. Given the general lack of staff, I can understand that it's not always easy, but dear waiter, we as customers can't help it and what happens when the restaurant is full? Sorry, not recommended. Food was ok

It's simply ridiculous these days when you can't pay any amount with your card. But OK, then I'll order two more drinks to get to the minimum amount. Only to find out that only EC cards are accepted :D no debit card, no credit cards, no Apple or Google pay. So that's absolutely ridiculous. That doesn't happen to me in any developing country in the world. But in the middle of Bavaria. In a city like Regensburg. As I said, ridiculous :D!!

This place almost got a better review. Beer is really good, food is okay at best. But the problem was service. Biggest issue with payment. The don't accept visa or card payment (only EC Karte, which nobody else has anymore), so I said that I will pay with cash, no problem. Except, I only had 100 euro bills, so they were super pissed that I didn't have kleingeld and were yelling at me. Another small problem is that it is a bit more expensive than other biergartens.

We were in Regensburg for two days for a lecture. Before that we need some refreshment and ended up in the beautiful Kneitinger beer garden. We ate the Kneitinger Schnitzel... gratinated with cheese and cranberries. 😋 That was excellent. Even two extra portions of cranberries were no problem. Our waiter was super nice. Unfortunately, this is no longer a given today. 👍 We had a lovely evening. There was nothing to complain about. Absolute recommendation 👍

Actually, it's a total shame. The beer garden is really cozy and there is also a nice little playground for the little ones. It's also fenced all around, which is great if you're traveling with "little runaways". The beer garden is in a great central location and I really like the old trees, typically chestnut trees. But... the at least 5 different visits over the last few years have not made any difference. Unfortunately, no matter what food I ordered, it just didn't taste good. (Mass-produced goods that anyone can fry or put in the microwave, unfortunately that's how it tastes) You can tell there is a lack of a good chef with a concept. The male waitresses are sometimes very strange, sometimes unfriendly or sometimes make questionable comments towards women. Yes, the beer garden had potential. Unfortunately it feels like it's being sold off.

If you appreciate a Bavarian beer garden and a classic restaurant, this is definitely the right place for you. However, if you prefer unusual and creative dishes instead of the classics, you definitely won't find what you're looking for here.

We went there for dinner today and were served very friendly! Reservation also worked great! It wasn't a bad thing that it could take a little longer on a day like this! Waiter very friendly! The only star deduction is that there is no Cola, Wheat, Cola Wheat!

Location near the train station. Very thin menu, food edible. Beer garden with a view of the parking lot is anything but cozy, friendly but understaffed service. I wouldn't go there again.

That was an exciting experience. There were eight of us, and at first I justified the waiter's unfriendly manner with 'he must have had a tiring day'. But he became increasingly unfriendly. Some drinks are not on the menu at the moment - as a guest you don't know that the waiter will still be annoyed when ordering. A friend ordered a schnitzel. Waiter: Which one? Friend: Wiener Schnitzel. Waiter (louder): Which one?? Friend (visibly unsettled): Viennese style schnitzel? Waiter even louder: What side dish do I want to know? Yes, then say that! Girlfriend orders a non-alcoholic shandy. Waiter: There isn't. Girlfriend: Oh don't you have non-alcoholic beer on the menu? Waiter angry: Senora, I certainly won't argue with you. Okay wow. None of us really liked the food. Overall selection of drinks was poor (no wheat beer, no Aperol, no iced coffee...) We won't come again.

23€ for 4 beers??? When the waitress asked, she just said a lazy “yes, yes” and she was gone! Are you crazy?? It was definitely the last time there!

We were there yesterday before the Jahn - 1860 game. The beer garden was full, that was foreseeable and therefore calculable for the landlord. There weren't enough waitresses. Ours was also unfriendly and couldn't do math (she wanted to charge well over 40 euros for 6 pints of beer). In addition, she didn't want to bring us any drinks other than regular beer. In 2 hours we only managed to get 2 halves each, and no further orders came. It wasn't possible to order food - so I can't judge and we left hungry. At least the toilets were clean. I will never enter this store again.

Unfreundlich, kein Eingehen auf Kundenwünsche, keine Light Getränke, auch kein Leitungswasser.Kennen wohl europäische Gesetzgebung nicht.

Kässpätzle didn't taste like anything, were lukewarm, came without the salad and I found a hair in it

We were just in the restaurant. All I can say is: everything is top notch. Food is very, very good and plentiful. Service and staff super friendly and accommodating. This is rare to find. The place is quaint and I'm going there again tomorrow. The guests are mostly locals... it's rare to find a place like this. We are just holidaymakers but I hope for locals that it will be around for a long time.

A typical brewery-tavern not far from Regensburg train station. This makes it easy to reach on foot from there. The food was good and the price was okay for Regensburg standards. When the weather is right, the large beer garden located under chestnut trees invites you to linger. In my opinion, this is also the highlight of the Kneitinger Keller!

Relatively simple restaurant. Service was ok. Food too. The parking spaces behind the restaurant are good. For me it's not worth a second visit as there are better restaurants in downtown Regensburg.

Nice restaurant with cozy surrounding, especially if you visit it with friends. The food is also good and the service is friendly. I have ordered a pork escalope; it was good.

The currywurst was fried far too short and unfortunately wasn't convincing. Otherwise a nice, rustic pub with good beer.

Diese Woche Donnerstag Mittag; Schweinebaten mt Kartoffel-Knödel €17,40 (!)...Fleisch zäh u. fasrig, Eindruck nicht am selben Tag gebraten, Soße dunkel-dunkel braun, sehr dick u. alles ohne Geschmack. Männl. Bedienung mehrmals angesprochen, dem Koch die Beschwerde weiter zu geben, doch er ignorierte es, auch vom Nebentisch! Ein traditionelles bayr. Wirtshaus ?

Das Essen war OK-ish, nix besonderes und dafür teuer. Personal war sehr freundlich.

Tischreservierung für die Katz, eine Schande für das Urgestein Kneitinger Keller in Regensburg. Tisch reserviert, sogar mit Handynummer Hinterlegung, 10 Minuten zu spät, es wurde mehrmals versucht anzurufen um Bescheid zu geben für die minimale Verspätung, es ging aber keiner an das Telefon. Angekommen, Tisch war weg. Einziger Kommentar der Bedienung..."Wir haben auf Sie gewartet, telefonieren kann ich nicht, keine Zeit"....10 Minuten warten, ist das zu viel verlangt????....was ist das für eine Dienstleistung. Schade, kann man leider nicht mehr hingehen.

Uriges Gasthaus mit super Service. Auch unser Labrador war herzlich willkommen. Ochsenbäckchen und Weißwürste köstlich. Das Bier ein Traum. Wir kommen wieder.

Heel gezellige oudbruin café zouden wij het noemen. De kelner was best grappig en we mochten Dexter mee nemen dan is dat al heel wat voor ons. Als Dexter niet naar binnen mag gaan wij ook niet, klinkt stom maar is voor ons een plus.

Nicht mit dem Kneitiger Stammhaus in der Innenstadt verwechseln! Ich wohne seit 10 Jahren und der Nähe: Location schön, das Bier schmeckt. Service mäßig, essen Mäßig.

Die halbe Ente war etwas zu durch. Blaukraut und Knödel sehr gut und reichlich. Bedienung war schnell und freundlich. Es waren auch nicht alle Tische besetzt.

Auch im Winter zum drinnen Sitzen recht gemütlich. Traditionell urig aber etwas laut, da es sehr voll war. Der Kalbsbraten war noch etwas zäh, aber der Service schnell und freundlich.

Die einladende Atmosphäre, das freundliche Personal und die hervorragende Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken haben unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Dieses bayerische Lokal bietet nicht nur traditionelle Gerichte von höchster Qualität, sondern auch ein charmantes Ambiente, das zum Verweilen einlädt.

Typischer bayrischer Gasthof. Bedienung sehr flink und nett. Bestes Bier aus Regensburg. Kleine Speisekarte mit bayrischen Schmankerl. Große Portionen zu realen Preisen. Gern wieder.

Essen ist kalt und schmeckt nicht. Die Auswahl ist gering und die Preise für das Essen überteuert. Nicht zum Essen geeignet. Bier allein geht immer.

A guader Biergarten und a schene Schduam

Klassischer Biergarten in der Nähe der Uni und Bahnhof. Preise sind wie üblich bei der Kneitinger Stiftung nicht die günstigsten. Service ist 1a.

Wir waren nach langer Pause mal wieder beim Kneitinger Keller auf dem Galgenberg. Im Biergarten ist es schön, keine Frage, die Bedienung war flink und freundlich. Wir bestellten ein Mal Schweinebraten mit Reiberknödel und Krautsalat, der geschmeckt hat, und einmal Zwiebel-Grillfleischgröstl mit Sauce, Semmelknödel und Salat. Letzteres war Resteverwertung vom Grillen, wogegen ich überhaupt nichts habe, es war mir beim Bestellen auch klar. Aber: Wenn 1. fettes Schweinefleisch zu lange auf die weitere Verwertung wartet, schmeckt es ranzig und wenn 2. die mageren Teile vom Kasseler Hals nochmal angebraten werden, sind sie hart und trocken. - All das hab ich der Bedienung nach dem Essen erklärt und sie gebeten, es der Küche auszurichten. Außer ihrem „Tut mir leid..." kam keine weitere Reaktion dazu, ob es wirklich ausgerichtet wurde. Knödel, Sauce und Salat waren dagegen völlig in Ordnung. Also: Lasst das mit dem Gröstl. Wenn Schweinefleisch zu alt ist, schmeckts aufgewärmt nicht mehr. Muss man halt Sulzen draus machen.

Biergarten und Wirtshaus. Da kann man sich schön hinsetzen und den Feierabend genießen.

Das beste Schnitzel weit und breit. Die Schwoum M.B. ham ne Geschmacksverirrung. Bedienung schnell und freundlich.

Ein schöner Biergarten, aber Parken ist etwas schwierig.
