Kleine Rast an der Elbe in Hamburg

We visited the *Kleine Rast* for the first time today. I ordered 🍟 with currywurst, amazing 😋., and drank a Pinot Gris with it. What can I say, I enjoyed my life with the amazing view. I love the whole atmosphere here.

Beautiful place for a break while walking.

It's a lot of fun here. The staff is mostly school/university students. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Lovely! We didn't eat anything, but the wine and Crémant are very good 👍

Best snack bar under the Hamburg sun! Friendly service and a fantastic view of the Elbe! The fries are extra crispy today, at my request. I'm in heaven! The chef still cooks here himself. You can taste it. 😋

A little stop on the Elbe reflects exactly what it is: chill-out time, friendly service, and top-notch drinks. We didn't eat anything, but the food looked delicious at the neighboring tables.

We celebrated a private birthday there. The service was super fast and efficient; our cooler in the separate outdoor seating area was always packed to the brim. The organization was excellent; we were always supplied with fries, fish sandwiches, and currywurst. Even our somewhat bizarre requests late at night were fulfilled to the full satisfaction of the party guests. A great team, incredibly friendly, a fantastic party. We'd definitely go again! Worth every euro.

From time to time, I stop by this little rest stop for a beer. I think the location is sensational. I just ordered a beer at the bar for €6, gave it €10, and the young woman behind the bar gave me back four fifty-cent pieces in one go. I said, "No, that's only €2." She added another four fifty-cent pieces and apologized. So, folks, that's the old restaurant trick! Watch your change.

Great atmosphere, so close to the Elbe River. It's simply amazing to linger here and eat something. The food selection has become increasingly extensive, and the service staff are very friendly... We always love coming back here to relax and escape the stress of everyday life. Thank you very much.

Nice ambiance, but poor service. The café has a great location and a nice ambiance. Unfortunately, the service was overwhelmed – empty bottles and glasses remained on the tables for a long time, and the cleanliness of the dishes and tables left much to be desired. Apparently, there's not enough staff on sunny days. It's a shame, because it could be really good.

A perfect afternoon with a view of the Elbe River and its boat traffic. We enjoyed perfectly flavored apple and cheesecake. Our daughter's fries were also delicious. We'll see you again!!!

Always busy and a bit crowded, but you can always find a seat. Unfortunately, as is often the case, the service is overwhelmed. Glasses are chipped and the toilet... Please pay more attention to such things in the future. Thank you

Super nice and friendly little snack bar right on the Elbe

It's only about 600 meters from the Teufelsbrück pier to the Kleine Rast. Below the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, you can sit on the Elbe River and watch the planes take off and land at the Airbus shipyard in Finkenwerder. The drinks are nice and cold, and the guys and girls at the bar are always very friendly.

You hear a lot about the “Little Rest” so we went there today. The location is really great! You have to be careful when you want to go over to the table because the cyclists are already driving past at a good pace. The menu is clear and we decided on the currywurst fries mayo. As written on the website: to the best CWP (currywurst fries) barrier before New York, I can unfortunately confirm that. The currywurst was well done but fried carelessly. The fries were soggy and very salty. At least the sauce was okay. I've eaten much better food. And then paying €9.90 for it is really bad. If it had been tasty everything would have been good, but after a “little rest” you didn’t have a good day.

Food average, view great, friendliness just ok, the toilets are an imposition. Although the first guest after opening was purely a pigsty, they obviously only clean every jubilee year, hopefully things will be different in the kitchen!!!!

Very nice snack bar on the Elbe. There is a good selection of food and drinks. There are enough seats on the promenade. If you can't find any more space, you can sit on the beach. When the weather is good there is a lot going on here. We were lucky and there was even Libe music on a Saturday. The great ambience is definitely worth a trip.

Our first visit to the little rest area was very nice. When we asked by email whether it was open, the response was quick. In fantastic weather a queue had formed but was dealt with quickly. We were politely asked what I would like and the order was taken. We were able to take the beer with us and we were given a number for the food. The number was called after a short wait. The currywurst was very tasty 😋. The staff friendly and in a good mood. The location right on the Elbe is super nice. We'd love to come back.

Relaxed atmosphere both directly at the kiosk and around it, large selection of drinks, plenty of snacks and small dishes and cakes... fair prices, friendly staff. Worth heading to consciously as a destination, not just “in passing”.

If I could, I would give 0 stars. I had to wait 1 hour in the cold just to get a Fritz Orange. In addition, the staff is extremely stinky in the sense that they stink and are very unfriendly. It was a traumatic experience because you inevitably had to watch dogs having sexual intercourse. To everyone who hasn't been there yet and might be planning to, don't do it, you'll regret it afterwards

Nice crew, cool atmosphere with great lounge music

Since the little rest stop has a landlord, it has become our favorite stop on the Elbe. Now we were really looking forward to the mulled wine season. Today was the day. Unfortunately a big disappointment! It didn't taste good at all 😕😕. And other guests felt the same way. The hard-working boys couldn't change anything. We are sure that the quality will improve quickly and we will remain loyal to the little Rast. There are even better things than mulled wine

Hello Were there today. The location is of course great but unfortunately the food arrived cold, my father and his girlfriend were eating there. Currywurst with fries was tasty but cold, which was stupid but still a great location. Maybe I'll come back alone someday, but then I'll eat cake - the cake won't get cold so quickly. There is hardly a nicer place on the Elbe to watch ships and planes with excellent currywurst (and that's saying something, because I come from Berlin), mega burgers and good drinks. Dogs can let off steam on the beach right in front of it. Best place for sunsets by the way. May summer never end. Top service!

We recently visited the snack bar on the Elbe and were unfortunately very disappointed. We paid a total of 20 euros for two curry sausages with fries - a whopping 10 euros per portion, which definitely seems overpriced for a simple snack. The quality of the food was very good, but the price is disproportionate. The service was particularly negative. We were looked at strangely. The staff were extremely loud, shouted in the kitchen and seemed more interested in their own entertainment than the well-being of the guests. This unrest disturbed the entire ambience and severely affected the dining experience.

We love coming here, just the view! When the weather is good, the crowds can be so big that you have to wait a while for hot food, but if you bring it with you and enjoy a cool drink in the meantime, you'll have even more from a visit. + Super friendly, patient staff!

A nice spot with prices typical of the Elbe

Simple snack (plus) on the Elbe. Delicious coffee and snacks including cake with the Elbe beach on the doorstep. The Elbchaussee and the traffic are far enough away. Prices are really fair. When the sun is lower, you simply carry the plastic chairs onto the beach. We were there today with friends and spent an entertaining 3 hours with cappuccino and fish sandwiches.

Food and ambience good. The band on August 29th was a complete disaster, so unfortunately only one star. Otherwise the store is better

Went there for the first time and cycled away very enthusiastically. I just had to treat myself to a delicious currywurst and a cool Pinot Gris with a fantastic view of the Elbe at the end of the day. I wasn't disappointed and will definitely be back!

After the negative Baerbock comments, the visit is firmly planned for this late summer. I am convinced that the assessment will then be justified. The operator responses to these hate comments are already a 5/5 in the entertainment category!

The currywurst was an over-fried one from the remaining stock (yesterday?), hard skin, blunt knife, and cheap fries with no flavor. Never again. Well, after 2 years and the new tenant's response, we tried again. Even though the sausage comes from Waitzstrasse, it wasn't much different this time: lukewarm from the grill or as boiled sausage, hard skin, my wife cut out the inside of the sausage. Plus irrelevant fries and HeLa ketchup from the bottle. Not enough curry... Well, if you like it that way, we don't anymore. The waitress (friendly) should pay a visit to the Pappsatt Imbiss in Norderstedt. The muddies behind the counter know how to grill such a simple meal to perfection.

Such a lovely place - I was super surprised to find this gem on the footpath from Blankenese to Teufelsbrück. Very nice ambience and the view of boats and planes at Airbus - just great for guests from out of town and me. And the prices are very moderate!

A nice place on the Elbe to have a drink and look at the water

A very nice place to spend a nice evening outside on the Elbe. During the European Championships, televisions were set up on which you could watch the games The outside tables are generously placed - there is space and air. The fries are very tasty and well made. The Sauvignon Blanc from Hörner was great and fairly priced at €25 a bottle. In the evening the host comes and offers mosquito spray - but we didn't need it - there weren't that many mosquitoes.

We accidentally arrived at Sünnobend, just like a buddel Vienna. And suddenly two spiellüüt and really good music started to play. That would be great and we'll have to sit down for the whole time. That would have been ridiculous.

I discovered this beautiful place on the Elbe by chance through Instagram. So off to the motorhome, 5 hour drive - welcome to paradise! We'll be back - so so nice - thanks to the entire team - who make this place so magical.

My „garden“ and all time favorite place from coffee, sundowner, snacks. With my son, alone or with friends. It’s always a good place to get in touch with other residents. And just appreciate the beautiful Elbe beach. Don’t tell too many people… it’s my favorite place home.

Very nicely located on the Elbe hiking trail. Wonderful view of the Elbe and opportunities for the children to play on the beach. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. I particularly liked the apple pie. Pott of coffee for 3 euros is also cheap. Very well attended on nice days.

A great "rest" spot on the Elbe, view over the beach to the harbor... wonderful. Be sure to try cheesecake and simply enjoy it with coffee. A wonderful walk directly on the Elbe is always nice. Bus station is close, parking spaces are a bit away and in a residential area. Definitely I'll come back.

I ordered a bockwurst with bread...on the menu it said €4,-...when I wanted to pay, it suddenly said €5,-. When I asked, I was very rudely informed that only the price stored in the cash register system was relevant (which the customer only finds out when paying). I then had the money returned...the staff seemed very overwhelmed and unfriendly. I then drove about 2 km further to a small café - there I had a very tasty Viennese with bread for € 4,-...;-)

A small but delicious snack bar right on the Elbe. Tables, benches, deck chairs available. The food was delicious, the drinks were very good. Simple facilities and only open when the weather is nice, but a great place to sit on the Elbe with a small sandy beach at the front and watch the ships go by on the Elbe. The service is very friendly. You can endure it well here and also see the Airbus planes taking off and landing on the other side. You can also see many planes in the sky flying to Fuhlsbüttel Airport.

No walk on the Elbe without a stop at the Alte Rast - delicious food (game sausage every now and then - DELICIOUS!) and fresh drinks from a crew that is always in a good mood and well organized even when it's busy! Everything is right there!
