Imbiss Lucullus in Hamburg

Echt Schade. Wollte nach einen schönen Abend eine Krakauer mit Pommes und Schaschlik Soße. Die Pommes waren nicht durch. Der ältere Herr wollte nicht mit sich reden lassen, die Pommes nach zu bessern. Dann bin ohne Pommes klar kommen.

Dieser Laden ist wirklich ein Geheimtipp. Ich war dort, weil er voller Einheimischer war und die Preise erschwinglich sind. Es gibt nur Brot mit Wurst und Senf, aber die Wurst ist wirklich köstlich. Ich verstehe nicht, warum Würste in der Nähe von Touristenattraktionen nicht so groß serviert werden; diese hier ist ziemlich groß. Sie hatte genau die Größe, die ich von einer deutschen Wurst erwarte, und sie war lecker und günstig. Falls ihr mal vorbeikommt und euch fragt, was das ist, und es auf Google Maps sucht, solltet ihr es unbedingt probieren. Es ist aber nicht der Laden, für den man extra einen Umweg machen würde.

Früher topp hier doch jetzt absolute Vorsicht! Unehrlicher Abzockerladen. Zwei Currywürste mit einer Portion Pommes bestellt. Eine Currywurst wurde mir unterschlagen und nicht ausgehändigt. Absoluter Abzockerladen, dazu sehr frech. Schade um die 4.20 €. Aus hygienischer Sicht ebenfalls äusserst fragwürdig. Die Mitarbeiter sind inzwischen leider unterste Klasse. Bei diesem Verhalten fühle ich mich als Deutscher hier aufs Übelste diskriminiert und herangewürdigt von den Angestellten. Ich komme nie wieder. Ich habe einen Stern gegeben .Der ist noch zuviel. Wir haben zwei Currywürste bezahlt und eine Pommes. Erhalten haben wir nur eine Currywurst und eine Pommes. Auf eine Nachfrage warum hatte der Verkäufer keine Antwort. Kann nur sagen,nie wieder. 👎👎👎

Leckere Würstchen Aber nicht immer! Gibt Mitarbeiter die brutzeln die gleichmäßig und andere wiederum als hätte man eine Viertelstunde Pause gemacht. Was ich aber absolut ekelhaft finde, ist die Tatsache das das Brötchen mit der Hand zum Würstchen gelegt wird. Dies geschieht nicht bei jeden "Mitarbeiter" Überwiegend wird hierzu von den anderen Mitarbeitern die Serviette oder die Zange genommen. Und wenn im Internet steht (ab 11:00 Uhr) geöffnet (22.06.26) Dann erwarte ich auch ein offenen Laden!!! Leider ist dieser Tag keine Ausnahme!!!

Schlimm, Personal ist frech, vorallem die Frau die da arbeitet, und arrogant. Bei Nachfrage ob es eine scharfe Sauce gibt hieß es nur Ketchup... Currysauce fehlanzeige, Billigketchup von der Metro aus Eimer. Die Würste schwimmen im Fett und werden warmgehalten. Kartenzahlung nicht möglich. Echt nicht empfehlenswert der Laden!

Traditioneller Wurststand. Ein echter Klassiker aus Deutschland. Preis, Qualität und Portionen sind top. Bei meinem Besuch war das Personal auch immer sehr freundlich.

Wenn ich eine Currywurst in Deutschland esse, will ich keine fertige Sauce aus dem Eimer! Das war einfach nur Warmgemachte pampe aus dem Hela Gewürz Curry Sauce! Sorry aber das ist ein absolutes No-Go! Der Verkäufer hat hinter dem Theresen nichts anderes stehen. Das einzig authentische ist, der Blick auf Hamburgs Nachtleben!

Das ist seit 20 Jahren meine Lieblings-Currywurst.

Bei meinem Besuch habe ich das Personal leider als wenig freundlich erlebt. Ein Lächeln oder ein kurzes "Danke" hätten den Eindruck sicherlich positiv beeinflusst. Die Mitarbeitenden wirkten auf mich eher mürrisch und teilweise genervt im Umgang mit den Kunden. Ich habe Verständnis dafür, dass der Umgang mit schwierigen oder unhöflichen Gästen belastend sein kann. Dennoch erwarte ich in einem serviceorientierten Bereich eine gewisse Professionalität und die Fähigkeit, zwischen unterschiedlichen Kundensituationen zu unterscheiden. Das Essen war insgesamt in Ordnung: Die Bratwurst hat geschmeckt, die Pommes waren jedoch für meinen Geschmack zu stark gesalzen. Auch Senf, Majo und Ketchup konnten mich geschmacklich nicht ganz überzeugen.

Achtung! Wenn man etwas über den Durst getrunken hat, wird man prompt abgezogen, zu wenig Rückgeld bei sehr mikrigen Portionen.

Knuffiger Atmosphäre, kein Zentimeter mehr Emotionen, als es sein muss. Dafür ist das Essen gut und die Zubereitung flott. Immer wieder gern!

Guter Service. Super Lage. Ich habe einfach das bestellt, was auf der Speisekarte stand. Meine Bestellung war in 20 Sekunden fertig. Preiswert. Köstliche Bratwurst im Weißbrot. Ein älterer Kellner nahm meine Bestellung auf. Beste Grüße. Ein schneller Imbiss mit exzellentem Service für 4 € in der Hamburger Innenstadt.

Sehr unfreundlicher und unhygienischer Laden. Beim Essen wurde sehr viel Trinkgeld gegeben, danach wird man für eine Tat beschuldigt und in unterster Schublade beleidigt (Bratwurst gegen Kopf des Verkäufers) als Familie. Trotz ruhiger Reaktion, wurden die Beleidigungen immer abwertender. Nicht empfehlenswert

Kleiner, ehrlicher Imbiss mit guter Qualität und schnellen Abläufen. Die Speisen sind frisch zubereitet, die Portionen großzügig, und der Geschmack überzeugt. Das Personal ist freundlich und unkompliziert, selbst zu Stoßzeiten bleibt der Service aufmerksam. Die Preise sind fair, und der Laden eignet sich perfekt für eine schnelle, solide Mahlzeit zwischendurch.

Pommes fettig, Ketchup ist ein Curryketchup der großflächig über die fettigen Pommes verteilt wird. Innenbereich heute sehr dreckig. Umgang mit den nicht deutschsprachigen Touristen aus meiner Beobachtung unter aller Kanone. Da schämt man sich wirklich fremd!

Die Currywurst hat mir nicht geschmeckt. Das Personal war eher unfreundlich. Für einen Imbiss sehr langsam.

Die berühmteste Imbissbude in HH. Mache hier immer einen Stop, wenn ich auf dem Kiez unterwegs bin. Die Qualität schwankt und ist Tagesform Abhängig. Die Stimmung ist immer gut. Absolutes Must See bei einem Hamburg Besuch

Null Hygiene, Lebensmittel und Geld werden ohne Handschuhe angefasst – unbedingt zu vermeiden.

Currywurst schmeckt gar nicht gut bzw. war es für uns keine Currywurst, Pommes sind okay. Service sehr schlecht -> die Bedienung ist super unfreundlich! Kann ich leider nicht empfehlen dort was zu essen.

Die Bockwurst war in Ordnung aber der würzige Charakter hat gefehlt. Die Pommes waren versalzen...das passiert wenn man die pommes Schale nicht vom alten Salz befreit und ständig neues Salz hinzufügt. Mein Fazit..einmal und nie wieder.

Sehr guter Laden, sehr gute Pommes. Sogar in einer Wochenendsnacht mit den bedürftigsten Kunden nimmt die Qualität nicht ab und man wird freundlichst bedient. Eine echte Hamburger Größe!

Ich habe im Januar in der „Off-Season“ hier um halb 12 in der Nacht eine Krakauer Wurst geholt mit Brötchen und Senf. Ich bin mir zu 99% sicher das ich von dieser Wurst (oder vom Brot oder Senf) eine Lebensmittelvergiftung erhalten habe. Es war ein Tag unter der Woche und ich habe das Gefühl die Würste lagen dort schon ewig in diesem Fett. Das Brötchen hat wirklich gar nicht geschmeckt und das Personal war nicht besonders freundlich. Ich möchte diesem Imbiss nicht schaden, vorallem falls die Vergiftung doch nicht von da ist. Ich möchte aber um Vorsicht bitten…Im Sommer in der Hauptsaison an einem Samstagabend bestimmt ein anderes Thema

Lächerlich! Das Wort "Wurst" ist schon die erste Lüge/Frechheit. Nie wieder.

Das ist der letzte Ort, den man aufsuchen sollte, wenn man hungrig ist. Der Preis steht in keinem Verhältnis zur Qualität. So etwas kann man zu Hause kochen, und es schmeckt sogar besser. Zum Glück gibt es in der Umgebung deutlich bessere Lokale. Dort wird keine Kartenzahlung akzeptiert, und das sollte man auch nicht. Für so etwas zu bezahlen, ist respektlos.

Leckere Currywurst, klasse Öffnungszeiten und für Nachtschwärmer eine gute Anlaufstelle für den späten Snack, manchmal braucht man auch um 2 Uhr morgens noch eine Currywurst.

...das Essen eher mittelmäßig. Aber die Unfreundlichkeit der beiden männlichen Mitarbeiter hinter dem Tresen ist nicht mehr zu unterbieten. Ständig Gemecker mit und über die zahlenden Gäste...da muß man sich schon einiges gefallen lassen.In diesem Sinne der letzte Besuch in der "Männerwirtschaft"!

What has become of our beloved Lukullus? This snack bar, too, seems to have fallen victim to staff shortages. Processes have changed inexplicably. Waiting times are unexplainable. The new staff is rude. The regulars are frustrated. As a former regular, this was probably my last visit. What a shame.

What can I say... we were in Hamburg and of course we tried Lucullus... We both had the currywurst with fries. The currywurst was standard fare: greasy sausage meat that melts in your mouth and is relatively bland. The sauce was probably just warmed-up Hela spiced ketchup, and the bread roll was awful. In short, you can skip it. After a really drunken night out on the Reeperbahn, it might satisfy your hunger, but that's about it. I wonder how even "chefs" in documentaries give it "positive" reviews...

The currywurst was unfortunately of very poor quality. The curry ketchup sauce tasted like it had just been reheated, and the sausage itself was also disappointing. Furthermore, both employees were extremely unfriendly and gave the impression of having absolutely no interest in their work.

Lucullus snack bar in Hamburg's Reeperbahn is a great spot for a quick bite. The atmosphere is always friendly and inviting. The quality of the food is definitely worth noting – fresh, delicious, and prepared quickly. I especially appreciate the pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. We were surprised—among all the different restaurants and stalls—to find a chip shop where you can enjoy bratwurst, currywurst, meatballs, Krakauer sausage, and fries. Enjoy because it's really delicious. We had fries, a meatball, and fries. Each order came with a bread roll. The staff are also very friendly. Everyone is treated equally here. Highly recommended.

So, if you see a currywurst on the grill, about 25 to 30 cm long, and you ask if that's the currywurst, which they confirm, and then you only get a chopped-up half-sausage in a bowl of fries, that's pure rip-off. Unfortunately, my wife told me about it too late. So beware! RIP-OFF!!!!!

The staff is absolutely unfriendly, downright rude. When I complained that my sausage was cold inside, they took my food away, threw my money down, and then insulted me in the worst way. But the real kicker was that they sold the currywurst I'd already tried to the next customer. Disgusting! It's almost beyond belief. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place as much as possible.

If you have fries with ketchup or mayonnaise on the menu, then you should offer ketchup and not the cheap alternative of curry spice ketchup. Because that's not ketchup, but sugary mush. That's misleading and really not okay. If you ask an employee why there's no ketchup, they'll say, "The boss doesn't want it, it's too expensive!" Great – then please write it on your board – not ketchup, but spiced ketchup. By the way, there are hardly any tomatoes in it.

For tourists and out-of-towners. As a Hamburg native, I go elsewhere.

This place was recommended to me by a friend as a "hot spot." I don't know if the "fryer" was in love on the day of our visit, because unfortunately the fries were completely oversalted and overseasoned (...which is a matter of individual taste and can help replenish electrolytes for many visitors). Unfortunately, due to an emergency situation and the resulting need for assistance, a member of staff very unprofessionally called me "overexcited and making unnecessary noise" because I tried to keep gawkers away, which the "fryer" described as damaging to business. According to this employee, the helpless person was to blame for their situation and the effort was unnecessary. Conclusion for me: Lucullianly disappointed & humanly terrifying experience 👎🏼

Horrible people who work there. They ask you for change you don't have, and then they more or less throw the sausage at you while complaining. Lucky for them, they're in that location; otherwise, walk right past!

Here you can't eat if you have less than 0.2 per mille. It doesn't taste good on an empty stomach.

From the very beginning, he was abusive. They were incredibly rude and refused to return the change. When he became aware of it, he said he had given her a different amount. In addition to the countless other snack bars, you can also find bratwurst and currywurst here. Right on Spielbudenplatz and Reeperbahn, near the Davidwache, is the Lucullus snack bar. It's also open a bit later. The taste is okay. Not bad, not amazing. It's a bit of a cross between. There were only two staff members that evening. One seemed a bit annoyed, the other balanced it out. So, everything was fine. The wait was also okay, and as I said, it was tasty, just right. But it wasn't a highlight, though, the currywurst still served its purpose. And there's still plenty to see while you're there, so it definitely won't be boring! Price-wise...well, okay. Everyone should form their own opinion.

Well, after I paid and adjusted my phone, I was given a slightly antisocial sneer about what I was filming and that they weren't interested in it—quote: they didn't need advertising and they didn't want it! Very cheeky, I must say, and if you're not interested and have customers, you should probably close the place, once and never again! It was just a mess. The atmosphere in the middle of the street is also just so-so.

If you need something to feed a small eater by Reeperbahn standards, this stand is a good choice. The Krakauer (a kind of sausage) was good, but I found it a bit greasy. But the price was totally okay. You can do it once in a while. It's not spectacular, but as I said, it's affordable for St. Pauli, so it's OK.

My favorite curry in the neighborhood. If it's Hamburg curry, then it's the Lucullus Special Curry. In the heart of the neighborhood, in the heart of life. Dear currywurst lovers, don't compare it to the Ruhr area. It's different. Different and, in my opinion, the best here. The bratwurst is also great. No one has ever been unfriendly to me here. Stoic, Nordic, yes. But it has to be that way. I'll be making my curry stop here for the next few years, too.

The sausages are really delicious, but the rolls are a joke – I've had larger pizza rolls at pizzerias. And if you dare ask for an extra roll (no one's saying it's free here), you get a rude shout-out. Pull yourselves together, guys.

A taste of the famous currywurst in the neighborhood...that's what we thought. Unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing! The service was abysmal. The order, which was given incorrectly, was also incorrectly blamed on us. When we asked if we could at least exchange it, the answer was: It's our own fault. Good service and service look different. Friendly service, no such thing. Regarding the taste: aside from the fact that I received something different than what I ordered, the sausage was mushy, soft, and not crispy. It seemed more like a boiled currywurst. Not a fried curry. The buns were reheated and even better from the supermarket next door. The food could only be eaten in the hand, and there were no standing tables... either. All in all: probably never again! The boss should think about friendly service. Conclusion: not recommended!

Delicious classic bratwurst on an equally classic cardboard tray with tear-off strips and fresh, excellent fries including mayo—€6.50. Plus, friendly service and very clean! We highly recommend it. ;-)

Standard snack bar in the middle of the Reeperbahn. Bratwurst Krakauer (a German sausage), great fries, delicious but the portions were very small. The meatballs and chops weren't my thing, they were very greasy from frying.

Hamburg's most famous sausage stand, impossible to miss even when it's full to the brim with Alster water. Thanks to the colorful lighting, a nod to the Brühpeitschen Palace's showman origins, you know where to steer your rudder. The menu, however, is less opulent than the deep-fried bunker itself. In addition to a small selection of sausages, there are also meatballs, chops, and fries. You should avoid the currywurst at all costs and opt for the bratwurst instead. Anyone familiar with currywurst from Berlin will consider this an affront to their taste buds. You're better off with bratwurst and Schrippe (a kind of roll). With the tube of mustard at the counter, you can even paint the intestine rocket yellow as much as you like. You're a bit stunned to see that Krombacher is served here. But since you don't care about the rainforest and you've already had 10 little ones, this is a minor problem. There are also restrooms hidden behind the night owls' aid station, which makes the short pit stop between the bars a completely feel-good experience.

1 star is even too much for this place! The flavor is bad, the wurst is bad. Almost no taste that is unbelievable! The attitude of the lady who is selling here is just to top of this bad food to make it even worse. I am so sorry for people here for having this imbiss next to the iconic area. Just the WORST!

On Sunday, May 11, 2025, I had an unpleasant experience with a small dog around lunchtime! It bit my left calf! The blonde employee at Lucullus was immediately ready to help! Disinfectant! Tried Krakauer in a bun and meatball. Great, really tasty. Fries also included, but unfortunately over-seasoned with this red fries seasoning. That doesn't have to be the case, a little salt on the fries and everything is perfect. I'll come back.

On the Reeperbahn at half past twelve at night - a moment in which you have to decide between neighborhood romance and culinary daring. Unfortunately I decided on the latter and stopped at Lucullus. The currywurst served there was a borderline taste experience, the French fries were a dry accompaniment without any sympathy for consistency or seasoning. It was a real horror trip - even though I probably had two alcohol levels too low to at least be able to chalk up this slip-up as a charming evening anecdote. Lucullus on the Reeperbahn - certainly cult, but unfortunately that was the last time for me in culinary terms. At least the memory remains… although not a particularly tasty one.

I was always happy to be a guest there, it was delicious and a sausage on hand is always nice. Then, unfortunately, they decided not to sell any more Salzbrenner sausages, probably because Salzbrenner sausages are already expensive to buy and they didn't want to increase the prices or because they wanted to make more profit. In my opinion, the wrong decision. And you can taste it too. The “cult snack bars” in Hamburg, Lucullus on the Kiez and the Mö snack bars on Mönckebergstrasse, have always sold salt burners. Now there is the standard sausage that every snack bar sells. So I eat my sausage at the Mö and unfortunately no longer at Lucullus, even though this snack bar always had its special flair. So I happened to be there when Stoever and Brockmöller were eating a sausage in the Tatort, but at that time it was still a salt burner in a special ambience. It's a shame that this has been changed. A price increase would have been smarter in terms of taste. I won't go to the neighborhood for this sausage anymore.
