The staff is absolutely unfriendly, downright rude. When I complained that my sausage was cold inside, they took my food away, threw my money down, and then insulted me in the worst way. But the real kicker was that they sold the currywurst I'd already tried to the next customer. Disgusting! It's almost beyond belief. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place as much as possible.

In my opinion, this is a top-notch snack bar, both in terms of price and taste. I had currywurst, fries, and a meatball, and everything tasted great. So, I definitely recommend it 👍🏻

If you have fries with ketchup or mayonnaise on the menu, then you should offer ketchup and not the cheap alternative of curry spice ketchup. Because that's not ketchup, but sugary mush. That's misleading and really not okay. If you ask an employee why there's no ketchup, they'll say, "The boss doesn't want it, it's too expensive!" Great – then please write it on your board – not ketchup, but spiced ketchup. By the way, there are hardly any tomatoes in it.

This place was recommended to me by a friend as a "hot spot." I don't know if the "fryer" was in love on the day of our visit, because unfortunately the fries were completely oversalted and overseasoned (...which is a matter of individual taste and can help replenish electrolytes for many visitors). From the very beginning, he was abusive. They were incredibly rude and refused to return the change. When he became aware of it, he said he had given her a different amount. When I told him I was going to write a bad review, he told me I should learn German before talking to him. (He's not from Germany himself.) These are incredibly nasty people. In addition to the countless other snack bars, you can also find bratwurst and currywurst here. Right on Spielbudenplatz and Reeperbahn, near the Davidwache, is the Lucullus snack bar. It's also open a bit later. The taste is okay. Not bad, not amazing. It's a bit of a cross between. There were only two staff members that evening. One seemed a bit annoyed, the other balanced it out. So, everything was fine. The wait was also okay, and as I said, it was tasty, just right. But it wasn't a highlight, though, the currywurst still served its purpose. And there's still plenty to see while you're there, so it definitely won't be boring! Price-wise...well, okay. Everyone should form their own opinion.

Well, after I paid and adjusted my phone, I was given a slightly antisocial sneer about what I was filming and that they weren't interested in it—quote: they didn't need advertising and they didn't want it! Very cheeky, I must say, and if you're not interested and have customers, you should probably close the place, once and never again! It was just a mess. The atmosphere in the middle of the street is also just so-so.

If you need something to feed a small eater by Reeperbahn standards, this stand is a good choice. The Krakauer (a kind of sausage) was good, but I found it a bit greasy. But the price was totally okay. You can do it once in a while. It's not spectacular, but as I said, it's affordable for St. Pauli, so it's OK.

My favorite curry in the neighborhood. If it's Hamburg curry, then it's the Lucullus Special Curry. In the heart of the neighborhood, in the heart of life. Dear currywurst lovers, don't compare it to the Ruhr area. It's different. Different and, in my opinion, the best here. The bratwurst is also great. No one has ever been unfriendly to me here. Stoic, Nordic, yes. But it has to be that way. I'll be making my curry stop here for the next few years, too.

The sausages are really delicious, but the rolls are a joke – I've had larger pizza rolls at pizzerias. And if you dare ask for an extra roll (no one's saying it's free here), you get a rude shout-out. Pull yourselves together, guys.

A taste of the famous currywurst in the neighborhood...that's what we thought. Unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing! The service was abysmal. The order, which was given incorrectly, was also incorrectly blamed on us. When we asked if we could at least exchange it, the answer was: It's our own fault. Good service and service look different. Friendly service, no such thing. Regarding the taste: aside from the fact that I received something different than what I ordered, the sausage was mushy, soft, and not crispy. It seemed more like a boiled currywurst. Not a fried curry. The buns were reheated and even better from the supermarket next door. The food could only be eaten in the hand, and there were no standing tables... either. All in all: probably never again! The boss should think about friendly service. Conclusion: not recommended!

Delicious classic bratwurst on an equally classic cardboard tray with tear-off strips and fresh, excellent fries including mayo—€6.50. Plus, friendly service and very clean! We highly recommend it. ;-)

Standard snack bar in the middle of the Reeperbahn. Bratwurst Krakauer (a German sausage), great fries, delicious but the portions were very small. The meatballs and chops weren't my thing, they were very greasy from frying.

Hamburg's most famous sausage stand, impossible to miss even when it's full to the brim with Alster water. Thanks to the colorful lighting, a nod to the Brühpeitschen Palace's showman origins, you know where to steer your rudder. The menu, however, is less opulent than the deep-fried bunker itself. In addition to a small selection of sausages, there are also meatballs, chops, and fries. You should avoid the currywurst at all costs and opt for the bratwurst instead. Anyone familiar with currywurst from Berlin will consider this an affront to their taste buds. You're better off with bratwurst and Schrippe (a kind of roll). With the tube of mustard at the counter, you can even paint the intestine rocket yellow as much as you like. You're a bit stunned to see that Krombacher is served here. But since you don't care about the rainforest and you've already had 10 little ones, this is a minor problem. There are also restrooms hidden behind the night owls' aid station, which makes the short pit stop between the bars a completely feel-good experience.

Tried Krakauer in a bun and meatball. Great, really tasty. Fries also included, but unfortunately over-seasoned with this red fries seasoning. That doesn't have to be the case, a little salt on the fries and everything is perfect. I'll come back.

On the Reeperbahn at half past twelve at night - a moment in which you have to decide between neighborhood romance and culinary daring. Unfortunately I decided on the latter and stopped at Lucullus. The currywurst served there was a borderline taste experience, the French fries were a dry accompaniment without any sympathy for consistency or seasoning. It was a real horror trip - even though I probably had two alcohol levels too low to at least be able to chalk up this slip-up as a charming evening anecdote. Lucullus on the Reeperbahn - certainly cult, but unfortunately that was the last time for me in culinary terms. At least the memory remains… although not a particularly tasty one.

I was always happy to be a guest there, it was delicious and a sausage on hand is always nice. Then, unfortunately, they decided not to sell any more Salzbrenner sausages, probably because Salzbrenner sausages are already expensive to buy and they didn't want to increase the prices or because they wanted to make more profit. In my opinion, the wrong decision. And you can taste it too. The “cult snack bars” in Hamburg, Lucullus on the Kiez and the Mö snack bars on Mönckebergstrasse, have always sold salt burners. Now there is the standard sausage that every snack bar sells. So I eat my sausage at the Mö and unfortunately no longer at Lucullus, even though this snack bar always had its special flair. So I happened to be there when Stoever and Brockmöller were eating a sausage in the Tatort, but at that time it was still a salt burner in a special ambience. It's a shame that this has been changed. A price increase would have been smarter in terms of taste. I won't go to the neighborhood for this sausage anymore.

I ordered a bratwurst. An employee then wanted to give me a "large bratwurst" that I hadn't ordered, that wasn't on the board and that would have been a lot more expensive. If you want customers to stay with you for the long term, then you should stop cheating them.

Ab und an auch mit Wartezeit, es hängt sich a bissl von der Uhrzeit ab. Nun, es kommt oft bei Currywurst auch auf die Qualität der Wurst an, von daher ein Stern,Punkt weniger. Die Lage ist Fusstechnisch gut. Jeder wie er es mag, für den kleinen Hunger okay.

Were there during the week, there wasn't much going on and the service was quick. if you can call it serving... tone was very rough (a touch too rough) and grumpy. ordered a currywurst with fries. Because the rolls or the stones on display would have been a burden on the front row of teeth and would have resulted in a visit to the dentist. The food was ready in incredible speed and we also tasted it. Sausage was cold, the zero eight fifteen sauce tasted strange and the fries looked like they had been soaked in 10 day old oil. Not worth another euro for me.

The price is cheap, sausage is delicious no matter which one... The roll has deteriorated a bit, it used to be a real roll, but it has shrunk a lot... just a small baking blank from the bag from the discounter... You don't want to eat a sausage, no roll 😜 Mustard for the sausage is traditionally available from a pump bucket... curry sauce😂 if you want it with the sausage, you can get it on a classic fries paper plate if you feel like it you ask. The service/ambience was really better. You were able to have a bit of a chat with the staff while you were waiting for your order. You now feel like you're in a drive-in. Line up on the left (you'll be pointed out in an unfriendly manner). If there is space, try to enjoy a quick snack in the corner. If you've drunk too much and are in a partying mood it might be okay, but if you're just strolling and you feel hungry and just want to have a snack it's rather mixed... It's a shame 😔

We ate a bratwurst and a currywurst here yesterday. My husband really enjoyed the bratwurst. And I've never, really never had such a good currywurst! First: there is a real currywurst - and not bratwurst or Krakauer as "currywurst" Secondly: great curry sauce - great taste, good spiciness Thirdly: there is also a small, freshly baked roll - awesome! We used it to clean up every last bit of the curry sauce 😊 The service was also good, it was quick. We will definitely be back!

Very unfriendly and snotty. We were given ancient fries that had been fried several times and mentioned this in a friendly manner after trying them. Not much going on on Thursday evening. It was quick. We didn't ask for the currywurst with rolls, we just decided. Bread roll? That wasn't a bun, it was a disaster! Too small and way too crispy. A currywurst needs a proper bun so that you can take the sauce out of the bowl at the end. Staff could be friendlier! No hello or thank you. It's a shame, price €4.50 would be ok if the roll was a normal size.

A friend of mine recommended a visit here and so we spontaneously went there. I wasn't the only one who was pretty disappointed. We both had currywurst fries. The sausage was ok. But the sauce tasted bland and didn't really taste like curry. Seemed a bit like an industrial product. The fries were okay, but a tiny bit very salty. Service staff were a little grumpy and not all that friendly, but that's probably how you have to be in the neighborhood. To be honest, I've had much better currywursts during my visits to Berlin than here in my hometown. It's a shame, really.

We were served quickly and had almost no waiting time. The ham sausage was okay but the spicy character was missing. What was also missing was the ketchup, which was no longer available. Still a good way to quickly strengthen yourself.

A cult joint in the middle of the Reeperbahn, the Krakauer is delicious as always, the employees are very friendly both at lunchtime and at night, and they're always ready for jokes. That's exactly what I came here as a tourist, the most important stopover for me in the neighborhood!

For me there is the best currywurst in the world. Every time I'm in Hamburg it's a must visit. The ambience in the middle of the Reeperbahn and with the intrusive neon signs is simply cult and that's exactly how it should stay.

The shop was clean. We were served quickly. Unfortunately the sausages were no longer fresh. They had been on the grill for a long time. The employee took each of our orders very rudely and commented on it. There were seven of us and we each ate at least two bratwursts. Nevertheless, the seller commented negatively on everything and made us feel like we were bothering us.
