Really yummy! I loved the fermented zucchini- unexpected and tangy. Super delicious. The sabich plate also really good.

Cozy little place Mediterranean place. Friendly & curtious service, although pretty packed, swift and efficient. Enjoyed the Sabich and "classic Hummus", both well prepared and served with fresh, warm pita bread. Others had Egg Royal on Challah with smoked Salmon, served with small salad (also very tasty). A little piece if Israel, only Jachnon (it was a Saturday ;) was missing for a perfect Brunch. Outside seating available, even recommended when sun ☀️ is out !

Absolutely cute shop. Very friendly service and a very cozy interior. Perfect for weekend breakfast.

Very tasty food and nice ambience

My sister and I went for lunch last friday 3rd, and although it's been a few weeks, I wanted to share something I think is important. We both ordered shakshuka, and I told the waitress that I'm allergic to parsley, clarifying that it's not a dislike, but that I'm actually allergic to it. The waitress warned me that all the dishes contained parsley. I told her that it was my third visit and that I always find something to eat without problems (traces being fine, it's just a matter of avoiding parsley as a garnish or choose something else when that's not possible). She said she suspected that the green shakshuka might contain parsley and suggested I order only the red shakshuka, which was fine by me, but she went to check with the kitchen just in case and came back saying that the kitchen had said that they would “manage”, so we confirmed the order for the green and red shakshukas. Unfortunately, I had an allergic reaction on my way home, about 20 minutes after leaving the restaurant. As I also work in the food industry, I know that it can be difficult to accommodate customers' preferences or intolerances. In this case, I would have been happy with the red shakshuka, I'm not a stubborn customer. I also know that mistakes happen, and that's okay. I just didn't want to leave open the possibility that someone in the kitchen might think that an allergy (described as such) could be a customer preference, a whim, or some kind of attention-seeking behaviour. That's all! I couldn't find anywhere else to send this, I hope someone reads it eventually! The place is great. Best!

I come here over 2 months ago while visiting Berlin, and I’m still dreaming about the eggplant meal they do! Such a high level of vegetarian food and a really nice place in general

I, too, can only agree with the criticism of the service. Incredibly disinterested and clueless. When asked which wine paired with the meal, they simply said something. It would be better to say they had no idea. The value for money leaves a lot to be desired, and I felt something was missing. I've had much tastier Levantine cuisine.

Kitten Deli is a small Mediterranean spot in Neukölln with a relaxed, lively vibe. The roasted eggplant and one of their fresh salads are the highlights, and there are plenty of vegetarian options. A solid choice for casual Mediterranean food in Berlin.

Sooo delicious!!! Absolutely recommended! Truly authentic cuisine with a slightly smaller, really good menu. We were initially concerned that it would be more of a snack bar, but you can also sit outside in the evenings or enjoy a longer, more comfortable meal inside. Everything is vegetarian and the prices are good/reasonable. The service was also super friendly!!! The whole area has a really cool feel.

Good food. Also great Arabic dishes like delicious hummus and shakshuka. Israeli cuisine is also well represented, with sabich and braided bread. A great combination of Arabic and Israeli – these days, it's more important than ever to see how these cultures can benefit from each other, especially when it comes to food! Service, however, was quite unfriendly.

The aubergine dish was our favourite! Although honestly every plate was delicious - from the fresh salad, to the sea asparagus, the spicy hummus and fresh pita. Summer evenings outside with friends, sharing tapas is a vibe. Prices are very reasonable for the quality also. Will definitely be back!

the food was delicious, and a good spot for vegans. 🌱 a lot of dishes do include a boiled egg but you can easily take it out the service could have been a little bit more friendly but overall nice environment, we were stead inside as the weather was bad I would definitely go again, but with a big group because you want to have it all!

What was supposed to be a casual lunch turned into a great foodie experience. My personal favorites were the zucchini and asparagus. Also if you're taking the hummus take a pita bread per person. We ordered one plate of hummus to share with 4 but you will want your own pita bread :). We also drank a beetroot iced tea, a spicy margarita, paloma and a bloody mary. We were fan of the cocktails but the bloody mary had some funky twist to it (maybe some soy sauce) so consider it. Spicy margarita was quite good and the iced tea as well. We didn't reserve and it was packed outside so we were seated inside and luckily got a table. It was on a Friday so I can imagine it's easier than passing by on a weekend. All in all we really liked it here. Next time I'll come back to try the challah bread.

Unfortunately, the service is extremely inattentive and barely knows their own menu. We waited a very long time at our small folding table, which was simply set up on the uneven sidewalk. For everything (getting our drinks, then the food, then the clearing, and the bill). The walk to the restroom is life-threatening. In general, you can clearly see the cost-cutting measures being taken here, which naturally raises concerns about the quality of the ingredients. I won't be back.

A bit of an oat milk elite tourist trap. High prices compared to the area. Hummus is okay, very oily. The pitas aren't that fresh. Dry and feel like they've been sitting on the shelf for a while: a bit like stacked rolls, like supermarket rolls that don't really stay fresh unless you grab the top one while it's still warm. (Not the experience we hoped for at Esh pita bar in Amsterdam.) The staff is friendly and fine, though some are a bit inattentive. It doesn't feel entirely "engaged." It's a shame they all speak English when you're practicing your German :) They had a good 0.0 beer.

Sooooo delish! Everything was amazing. We were a large group and wanted to try everything and share it all, so the server just ordered a selection for us without us having to decide, which was really helpful. Definitely coming back!

The "Kitten" is a deli-restaurant situated close to the quiet Landwehr-Kanal in Friedelstraße and an old bridge which connects two districts, i.e. Kreuzberg with Neukoelln. My Aussi/Lebanese friend took me there on purpose to introduce me to some of the delicacies there, like the home-made challah bread, grilled and/or fermented vegetables - and the best hummous I've tasted for quite a while. The menu focuses on maybe half a dozen of great offerings so you won't need to spend ages trying to come to a decision, and you can also supplement your first choice with side dishes any time. The portions are plenty, and the quality was excellent. Maybe check the menu online before you visit: I consider it a very affordable choice of wonderful food, but "affordable", alas, is a subjective thing (i.e. 15- 20 Euros for the whole thing).

The food was simply unbelievably delicious. We had to wait quite a while for our drinks, though, because we were apparently forgotten. But the taste more than made up for it. We definitely recommend it. Tip: The harissa is delicious!

We saw the raving reviews, but this place was a real disappointment. The food was good, but the dishes on offer aren't hard to mess up. The bread was downright stale. Now the worst part: the staff was aloof, rude and wouldn't even look us in the eyes while serving. If i could give zero star for service i would. We booked a table in advance at a set time, but when we arrived, we still had to wait outside. No drinks or service was offered while waiting. How this place gets a 4.5 average is beyond me.

The food was good, but unjustifiably expensive. For mushrooms as an add on hummus to cost 3€+ is kinda crazy (and it isn't a big portion of mushrooms, at that). The pickled zucchini is very good, as are the potatoes. Sitting outside can be very nice, even in rainy weather. I had the lemonade with mint, which was refreshing. English language appears to be the primary language at this establishment, as a heads up.

One of my fave places to eat in Kreuzberg. Great for breakfast, brunch, or dinner—honestly can’t go wrong. The Kitten staff is always super sweet and on point. What I love most is that the food always tastes the same (in a good way!), which is pretty rare in Berlin, especially with the more hyped spots. Definitely try their Sabich Teller—it’s so good. And if you’re like me and not into alcohol, don’t skip the homemade beetroot lemonade. Also just a really lovely space, with nice little details like fresh flower vases around the place. Big recommendation from me!

I got some to-go since my accommodation was nearby, and it was so delicious that I ate at the restaurant. It was the best hummus I've had in Berlin👍

The place is Instagram-friendly, food was passable but nothing special. What left a bad taste was the service: we felt pushed to leave a tip. The waiter mentioned that "service was not included in the bill", we added 10%, but yet he still checked closely how much we added... The approach felt uncomfortable and we won't return or recommend.

Kitten Deli is my happy place. The Sabiche Plate is the most delicious food in Berlin, the staff are welcoming and kind and the whole atmosphere always makes me smile. I'll be back again soon!

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Really impressive staff, professional and attentive. Every dish was explained clearly and served beautifully. Even the busiest moments were handled with grace. Prompt service from the moment we arrived. All the kitchen tools and equipment looked top-notch. Loyal to their word, menu matched exactly what was served. Each team member was courteous and kind. Service was quick but never rushed. Took just under an hour for a full-course meal. I’ll be recommending this spot to everyone. Nothing fell short of expectations. Exceptional experience overall!

Absolutely loved the *israeli* food! If you love authentic shakshuka (tunisian), hummus (syrian), harira (moroccan), sabih (iraqi) and dukkah (egyptian), then this is the place to go! (these foods are older than israel’s existence )🍉

Menu is "small" but everything that is on it sounds amazing and it was indeed the case for everything we tried. The highlight was the hummus, one of the best we had! Drinks wise the homemade lemonade was great, the coffee was maybe the only so so thing we had. Would recommend booking a table.

Last night around 8 PM, my friend and I decided to grab a bite at Kitten Deli. We were excited, but our experience quickly took a turn for the worse. The waitress was downright rude. Despite the outdoor seating being empty due to the chilly weather and the indoors being packed, he completely ignored us. My friend—who's a local German—politely asked if we could place our order, but he just brushed him off and walked away without a word. Frustrated, I went inside to inquire, only to be met with a question about whether we had a reservation. Funny enough, the table next to us didn’t have a reservation either, yet they received service while we were left hanging. It’s really disheartening to see this kind of behavior in Berlin’s restaurant scene, especially when you approach with kindness. What a disappointing experience

The food is exceptionally delicious. The combinations harmonize perfectly and I would happily eat it again.

We had a reservation at 8:30 p.m. and were only able to order after 20 minutes. When we wanted to order more food shortly after 9 p.m., the kitchen was already closed. At 9:20 p.m. there was one last round of drinks. The guests were literally urged to finish quickly, drink up and leave. But my bigger problem was the staff: two waiters were very unfriendly when I told them about my irritation. Statements like "It`s your problem. You can go to other restaurants." was aggressively addressed to me. That was neither hospitable nor professionally appropriate when dealing with criticism.

Very flavourful food and really friendly service! Loved the salad and the aubergine! Missed a mark for me because of 2 things, the place can get quite loud (too loud for my liking) and the price is a tad bit too much for what you get imo.. other than that it's great!

The place I always show my friends who visit Berlin. Brunch or dinner – it’s always a good atmosphere. Small bites are really delicious. Must try – Aubergine plate. Home made bread is also a good choice. Loud X-berg street adds vibe to the place. Highly recommended

I wrote a review 2 years ago for this place saying how the food is great but the waiters were arrogant and impolite. However, today, after talking to the owner, Ngoc, I feel like she's doing everything possible to make this place run well. I only wish there were more restaurant owners like her who respect their customers and care about the quality of service and food. Only wish good to this place, and if you are having any problems with service, just ask to talk to her, and you will see that your problem will be quickly resolved.

The ambiance was very nice here. I got the kitten trinity ( tahini and challah bread) and a grilled cheese. The kitten trinity was good, but the portion size was really disappointing. They give a large amount of tahini with only 2 small pieces of challah. I'm not sure why they would give so little bread since you can't even make a dent into the tahini with the amount of bread they give you. The tahini was nice, it had 2 spicy sauces on top, but the challah was rather dry. The grilled cheese was good. Overall decent place, but the food does not really match the price.

Amazing food, the kindest staff!

Nice evening with friends! 7 of us came and we ordered almost everything on the menu. The portions are quite generous, we took away the leftovers. The ingredients are quality and very well cooked. I enjoyed eating new potatoes. Payment by card only. Please note, we were not able to cut the bill into equal parts.
