The Kirschner Stuben offers Bavarian cuisine with an international touch. The quality of the dishes is absolutely top-notch. Attentive and friendly service rounds out the positive overall impression.

Always great service, delicious food, and a great appreciation for our guests. Firstly, we have been returning guests to the Kirschner Stuben for years due to family reasons, as our grandparents' generation already had a deep connection to the Maier family and the Hotel Maier zum Kirschner. We have always had a wonderful time here, from birthdays, weddings, the St. Hubertus Mass, to intimate family dinners. Many thanks to the team and the Maier family!

Outstanding cuisine, a wonderful and typical ambiance, and fantastic service. We haven't had such a special and outstanding meal in a long time. The service staff stands out with their friendliness and professionalism – a place to feel good, linger, and enjoy delicious food!

Unprofessional & disappointing! Our wedding reception had been firmly reserved for two months. But almost two weeks ago, we received an email informing us that the promised room was no longer available. Following this, everything was carefully reviewed and, after consultation, we were offered an alternative, which we accepted and reassured ourselves that everything was now safe. Then, just under a week later, the entire reservation was canceled out of the blue – by email, without any alternatives or consultation. A personal apology over the phone would have been the least we could have done...

The scampi evening at the Kirschner Stube restaurant left nothing to be desired. The cozy atmosphere and very friendly service made the delicious food even more enjoyable! The scampi were delicious. Thank you so much 🙏🏻

Rating: A disappointing and disrespectful experience I have rarely experienced such a lack of professionalism and customer service. We had booked our wedding reception at this restaurant two months ago, a truly wonderful occasion that was supposed to be an unforgettable day for us. But what happened here has dashed any anticipation. Two weeks ago, we suddenly received an email informing us that there had been a mistake and the originally promised room was unavailable. No call – just a terse email. Annoying, but hey, mistakes can happen. We tried to make the best of it. But today, the next slap in the face: Another email stating that the entire reservation was canceled because another mistake had supposedly occurred. Suddenly, the restaurant wasn't available at all. How could something like this only come to our attention now? Countless preparations and expectations – all dashed, without even the decency to contact us personally or offer alternatives. For us, this is not only an organizational disaster, but also an emotional one. A wedding is no ordinary event, and such negligent treatment of customers clearly demonstrates a complete lack of sensitivity. For anyone who values ​​reliability and respect: Stay away from this restaurant. Absolutely unacceptable!

Nice location, the service was very friendly. Our char was very fine, as were the vegetables. Unfortunately, the potato gratin was so salty that you simply couldn't eat it. The service took note of it with the comment "let's see which chef was in love", which is ultimately a bit insufficient if you get up hungry after spending €80 due to the lack of the actually filling side dish (char and a few vegetables are not enough). It's a shame, we are often in Rottach and would have been happy about an alternative, but the impression remained disappointing.

We found this place through the Michelin guide. It was fantastic! The servers were very accommodating (we don’t speak German). The food was exceptional. Beautiful atmosphere. Really a fabulous experience.

Really great restaurant. The food was incredibly good. Rarely or never have I had a beef broth like this and the veal knuckle was a poem. With the side dishes you really noticed that the kitchen has heart and brains. Everything was handmade without any additives. Pure taste. Wonderful. The service was accordingly friendly, attentive, sensitive (found the right words for everyone and obviously a great team). We were very looked after and the service made us have a great evening on our family trip. Thanks for that!

It started as soon as we entered the dining room, dreamy lights, lovingly set tables, very attentive Coming friendly staff, especially the attention of your master Jonutz, who really offers his guests the services they want without being asked from the eyes. The food, the shrimps, and all the great things surrounding it, a dream. Dear Maier's, dear Mr. Janutz, all you capable hands, thank you for these wonderful hours. Very tasty food and very attentive staff always happy

Super nice and courteous service. The staff knows exactly about the ingredients and foods used. Really great service, which is very rare these days!! The food changes daily and tastes very fine and good! We really enjoy eating here and can highly recommend the restaurant for lunch and dinner.

Währen unseres Aufenthalt im Hotel Kaiser zum Kirschner haben wir an zwei Abenden in den dazugehörigen Kirschnerstuben zu Abend gegessen. Kurzes Fazit: Küche sehr sehr gut! Service: Nett, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam

Ate in the Kirschnerstuben again and again it was very good. Veal tartare and tuna as a starter, both really great. Then two summer salads, one with shrimp and one with beef fillet, also very, very good. There is also a very nice atmosphere. We were very satisfied.

Wir saßen auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf den Tegernsee. Geht es besser ? Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und entgegenkommend. Die Speisen sind sehr schön angerichtet und äußerst schmackhaft. Die Speisekarte ist nicht all zu groß, dafür um so besser. Kommen wieder

Two women from Munich were guests today and wanted to enjoy good Bavarian and Swiss sausage salad in this restaurant. What we got has nothing to do with sausage salad. A curry-yoghurt dressing is so far away from Bavarian that you really can't think of anything else. If you already offer Schicki-Micki experiments on the menu, then this should also be recognizable. Everything else is misleading.

Beautiful, very personal hotel with great restaurants to feel good and enjoy! Particularly recommended for events such as communions and weddings! Optimal location!

Schönes Restaurant und Terrasse mit guter Qualität vom Essen. Das war aber auch schon alles! Wir wurden abgecheckt und an einen einfach Tisch geschickt. Es dauerte etwas bis wir bestellen konnten, da wichtige Personen verabschiedet wurden. Nach der Bestellung bekam wir unser Essen und bemerkt das die Tische neben uns vorab Brot bekamen. Dort wurde auch nach weiteren Getränken nachgefragt. Wir hätten gerne noch bestellt aber das gelang uns nicht. Schließlich bestellten wir die Rechnung.

Very good restaurant with a sufficient menu. We spontaneously got a place here and were not disappointed. Compared to other restaurants on Tegernsee, the food is still reasonably priced. Very clean toilets. We'll be back.

Wenn man einen gehobenen bayerischen Gasthof sucht, wird man hier mit bayerischer Gemütlichkeit fündig. Die Preise erscheinen zunächst hoch, wenn man dann aber die Qualität auf dem Teller gesehen und genossen hat, bereut man keinen Cent. Ich würde lieber einmal diesen Genuss haben, als fünfmal mittelmäßig Essen gehen. Der Service ist aufmerksam und ausgesprochen nett.

Wir durften eine wunderbaren, genussreichen Abend im Restaurant Kirschner Stuben verbringen. Bereits die Reservation des Tisches klappte hervorragend, der freundliche Empfang, der sehr professionelle Service und die exzellente Küche trugen zum besonders schönen Erlebnis bei. Vielen Dank für dieses so positive Beispiel von harmonisch gelebter und zelebrierter top Gastronomie.

Wir sind nach ca. 5 Jahren mal wieder in die Kirschner Stuben und haben uns auf einen schönen Abend mit tollem Essen gefreut. Die Enttäuschung war sehr groß! Das Essen ist handwerklich gut, aber das Konzept der Karte, für uns, nicht nachvollziehbar. Aus dieser Enttäuschung heraus haben wir jeweils nur eine Hauptspeise bestellt. Als beide Hauptspeisen vier Minuten nach der Bestellung bereits bei uns am Tisch waren, war unser Erstaunen noch größer. Der Abend bekam den Charakter einer guten Autobahnraststätte. Dennoch drei Punkte für handwerklich ordentliche Küche und eine grundsätzlich gute Location.

Seezunge vom Feinsten. Als Hamburger muss man in der Heimat suchen, diese Qualität zu finden. Sind nicht umsonst Stammgäste.

Zum wiederholten Mal in diesem tollen Restaurant eingekehrt, mit Blick auf den Tegernsee. Ein sehr gepflegtes Restaurant (gemütlich und hochwertig) und außen eine tolle Terrasse, die gerade bei Sonnenschein einlädt. Das Essen ist sehr gut und Preisleistung vollkommen okay, für diese Lage und diesen Ort. Bisher hat alles, was wir dort gegessen haben, sehr gut geschmeckt und auch die Weine lassen keine wünschen übrig. Freundlicher Service im Restaurant, auch wenn man spontan mal einen Tisch möchte. Von daher habe ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt und vergebe gerne fünf Sterne.

Mal wieder exzellentes Essen kombiniert mit ausgezeichnetem, sehr aufmerksamen Service. Immer wieder ein Genuss und sehr zu empfehlen!

Gehobene Location. Man sitzt draußen wunderbar. Gehobenes Urlaubsfeeling Wir waren zum 5 o'clock Tee da, trank aber einen schönen Sauvignon Blanc. Ich fand die Preise auch ok. Schön zum Entspannen und der Sonne Nachschauen.

Zuvorkommender Service, bayerischer Landhausstil, exzellentes Essen... war als Fotojournalist vom Lionsclub Gmund-Oberland eingeladen. Vielen Dank an den neuen Präsidenten!

Von der Terrasse hat man einen schönen Blick auf den Tegernsee.

Ich machte mit meinem Mann und meiner kleinen Tochter Urlaub am Tegernsee. Bereits am ersten Tag haben wir in den Kirschner Stuben gegessen. Das Essen war hervorragend, die Qualität der Speisen war spitzenmäßig, geschmacklich einfach ein Genuß. Der Service war nicht zu übertreffen. Das Personal war zuvorkommend, freundlich, aufmerksam!! Die Gerichte für die Kleinen wurden auf schönem Kindergeschirr serviert. Das Restaurant ist ein Muß, absolut empfehlenswert!!!

Ein Restaurant, das keine Wünsche übrig lässt! Wir waren recht spontan vor Ort und wollten gerne essen. Die Bedienung war wirklich sehr nett und hat uns sofort einen Tisch vorgeschlagen. Ich war von der Aussicht so überwältigt! Diese Idylle ist unglaublich schön! Das gesamte Restaurant ist mit viel Geschmack eingerichtet worden! Selbst die Toiletten passen perfekt zum Ambiente! Das Essen kam zügig - und schmeckte vortrefflich! Selbst unser Malteser bekam sein Wasser - Hunde sind hier willkommen! Ich bin wirklich sehr zufrieden und werde gerne wiederkommen!

Die Aussicht mit der Lage am Seeufer ist top Der Cafe ist durchweg gut. Dafür sind die Torten nicht Jedermanns Sache. Der Service will gerne als "Gehoben" gelten ! Preis und Leistung sollten von der Leitung überdacht werden!
