King Snack Döner in Potsdam

Well, what do you expect at a kebab shop in the Waldstadt. Meeting place for alkis and hopeless souls. Tried kebab 3 times over a period of roughly 5 years and had symptoms each time (diarrhea, stomach problems and even vomiting). The currywurst + fries is the only bright spot in this shithole.

It is unpleasant when you go shopping and you have to pass the drunk people and for children it is not a nice sight should you prohibit them from sitting outside

Unfortunately, most employees are very unfriendly. If you express a "request" that you don't want the meat half-raw, the employees immediately get in a bad mood, and then they fall on deaf ears. (Because, oddly enough, I had to order my order loudly, while two people behind me were still speaking in a normal tone.) Maybe you should change jobs if you don't want to deal with people.

King Snack Döner is located at the entrance to Kaufland in the Waldstadt Center and, as far as I know, is the only kebab shop in Waldstadt. Even at first glance, it doesn't make a particularly good impression. You can sit inside or outside. Inside, people were at the slot machines, and outside, the benches were full of people who seemed to be there more to drink than to eat. Since the snack bar was quite busy, I sat down at a bar table. You can choose from the kebab shop classics, but as far as I could see, only one skewer. At least there's even a separate vegetarian menu, although it looks larger than it actually is. Sure, there's falafel and halloumi, but also fun things like bread with sauce on it. Otherwise, there are the typical dishes you'd rather not see in a kebab shop, like chicken nuggets, schnitzel, or currywurst. I opted for a falafel sandwich with cheese and fries. The service was prompt and somewhat friendly. However, I found two things rather uncool: a large piece of cheese fell into the herb sauce. It was then simply fished out and packed into the bread. And what I found rather rude: the guy who prepared the kebab grabbed into the kebab with his bare hands to better stuff the salad in – without gloves, mind you. The taste was subpar, everything. There wasn't one particular thing that was completely unacceptable, but somehow everything was disappointing in its own way. The cheese tasted best. It was nice and creamy and a well-invested upgrade for only 50 cents. The bread was thin and mushy. The salad was dry and tasteless. The sauces only tasted like mayo. The falafel in Waldstadt are either not that popular and had been on display for a very long time or hadn't been in the fryer for long enough. In any case, they were super dry and crumbly and had hardly any flavor. The fries were very thin and very crispy, but still browned to a reasonable degree—but quite oversalted. The fat wasn't the freshest either. I've had rancider fries, but they weren't really that good. The curry sauce was okay. A bit too much dill, but otherwise fine. At least the whole thing was pretty cheap, and the portion was neither too big nor too small. If you view food purely as a calorie intake and want to fill yourself up as cheaply as possible, or are primarily here for a drink and need something greasy after a few beers and shots, King Snack Döner might serve its purpose. If you want quality, however, you'll have to get out of Waldstadt and get your kebab somewhere else.

This would be a mediocre kebab through and through, if only there weren't so much gristle in the meat. That would really make me like the place better—but don't feel guilty about it; the local alcoholics will surely keep the place afloat for a few more years. I've already given the place three chances, but I'd rather not anymore.

Anyone who writes here "Best kebab in town" probably rarely comes out of Waldstadt - or is part of the always drunk regular clientele 😄 I've never had such poor quality kebab meat with so many pieces of cartilage and bone - it can't be that my tooth almost breaks off every second bite! Later stomach pain and nausea - absolutely not recommended!

Bad kebab, more salad than meat

Tastiest kebab in all of Potsdam. Very fresh and the meat juicy and well seasoned. I can recommend it to anyone who wants to eat a good kebab. 👍💪✌️

Eating goes like this, the meat is always pale, you have to say a little dark, otherwise you get it half raw. Staff (hardly any hair on their heads) are more there to flirt and not to sell! The others are nice

It used to be a really good shop, unfortunately the kebab only consists of minced meat and is drenched in sauce. Some days the meat tastes "better" very strange, otherwise the staff does a good job but what can you do if everyone just wants to save money and doesn't want to deliver quality

Nice shop and great offer. From grilled chicken to currywurst to falafel doner or halloumidürüm, everything has already been tried and found to be at least good. Even friends from Berlin come over just for a kebab.

The worst kebab. Watery bread, zero taste. Flesh burnt. And pay just under €7 for it. Moody arrogant salesman. The kebab only had half as much filling as usual.

Delicious food, always friendly service. Only those who like fries should bring more time as they are always made fresh.

I ate a kebab there yesterday. I threw up my heart out today. If you're in the mood for food poisoning, you should try this kebab.

My friend suffered from food poisoning from the kebab, definitely not recommended, a few years ago another friend of mine also had severe stomach problems after a kebab from this shop, the shop was supposed to close.

The King Snack Döner is located at Am Moosfenn 1, 14478 Potsdam. I recently drank a nice beer here and ate a super kebab. Both were very delicious. Our favorite kebab. The kebab tastes delicious. Good meat, fresh salad and matching dressing. Unfortunately, the price has also increased, which is understandable. Besides kebab there are also other dishes. The staff is always friendly and always male.

Döner ist voll Ok, Kosten aufgrund der Inflation normal, Toilette vorhanden, Service ausbaufähig (beim kräftigeren Kollegen), ambiente eher Kneipe als Restaurant.

Döner, türkische Pizza und Co. schmecken immer. Stets schnelle Bedienung. Preise völlig ok.

Heute habe ich mir mal wieder einen Döner gegönnt. Hier gibt es Döner im richtigen Fladenbrot, gibt es ja leider nicht mehr überall. Das Brot 🍞 war schön knusprig, es war reichlich Sosse dabei, die nicht zu sehr knoblauchlastig war, das Gemüse war frisch und das Fleisch war auch gut. Die Portion war für 6 Euro angemessen. ( 04. 08. 2023 ) Das Ambiente ist nicht so gut, dafür können die Angestellten nichts. Der junge Mann, 👦 der den Döner fertig machte, war sehr nett.

Hier bekommt man einen geschmacklich guten Döner. Das Brot war schön knackig, an Soße wurde nicht gespart und Gemüse war frisch und das zu einem eher günstigen Preis. Bedienung zudem sehr freundlich. Kann man definitiv machen. Ambiente ist dafür eher nicht so prächtig. Viel trouble und schwieriges Klientel, stehen einem gemütlichem Verzehr im Weg.

Darum war zu kalt. GESCHMACKLICH OK

Schnelle, freundliche Bedienung

Das Essen ist immer frisch und sehr lecker, man muss nicht lange warten. Das Personal ist mega freundlich und erfüllt alle Sonderwünsche sehr gerne. Vor Ort essen würde ich allerdings nicht unbedingt empfehlen, hängt einfach mit den Leute zusammen welche dort vor Ort sind, kann der Betreiben ja nichts für. Super ist das man kostenlos vor Ort Parken kann.

Ich nehme immer nur den Döner mit nach Hause. Die Leute sind immer freundlich und der Döner so wie ich ihn bestellt habe.

Ja ein Döner Laden wo an sich viel nett Leute arbeiten gibt aber auch einen der da nicht rein passt der Frauen hinter her rufen pfeift oder richtig doll gafft. Der Laden an dich ist schön könnte aber auch Mal wieder renoviert werden das letzte Mal war glaube vor 10jahren . Das Essen ist an sich gut und solide.allso schmeckt an sich gut .das Hähnchen ist zwei manchmal 3mal tot gegart aber naja muss man auf passen das man das nicht bekommt . Und leider ist es unterdessen echt richtig teuer geworden.

Hatten leider keinen kinder Döner mann hat mir gesagt ich solle doch zwei normale Döner nehmen geht garnicht

Dönerbox war ok, der Döner da ist auch lecker, pommes und Hänchen sind auch gut. Die Preise sind gestiegen das war aber zu erwarten. Das Personal ist freundlich und geht auf die Wünsche seiner Kundschaft ein, das habe ich gut feststellen können. Was garnicht geht sind die Verpackungen die weißen, da sollte man sich eine Alternative mal überlegen. Dadurch das die sehr dünn sind gehen diesen auch schnell kaputt, habe solche Verpackung erhalten habe ich aber erst zu Hause bemerkt und bin halt nicht wieder los.

Heute zum zweiten Mal dort gewesen. Döner 5,50€. Voll okay. Herrlich lecker. Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre mit super nettem Personal.

Die Preise unterscheiden sich von Mitarbeiter zu Mitarbeiter. Heute Dönerteller mit extra Fleisch und Brot dazu+ nen Bier 18€. Finde ich so auf der Preistafel nicht wieder. Ich such mir nen anderen Dönermann.

Döner sehr lecker, Personal überwiegend freundlich außer der dicke bärtige. Der Kollege hat von Freundlichkeit und Kundenservice noch nie was gehört. Beim letzten Mal(vor ca. 2 Wochen ) für eine türkische Pizza und dürüm mit doppelt Fleisch bei einem anderen Kollegen 14 € bezahlt ,bei ihm auf einmal 15€ warum konnte er mir nicht sagen.

Wir bekamen ein Gemüsedöner der Fleisch hatte !!! Der andere Döner hatte falafel und die sahen auch noch schimmlig aus und schmeckten schrecklich !!! Nie wieder! Käse wurde natürlich auch vergessen !

Ich hole dort regelmäßig Döner, Pommes oder eine Döner Box. Es ist kein Highlight, aber der Laden bietet immer konstanz leckeres Essen. Einfach schnell und sehr preiswert.
