Very enjoyable. Service was excellence. We enjoyed it all.

Great variety of plates to share ( or not ) either on their outfit patio or inside. Go with a group and order one of everything.

Please go with a minimum of 2 people too get access to the whole menu. We tried the amazing 6 or 7 day slow roasted pork. Tender, perfectly marinated chicken. What a delight. Last but not least, Khwan schooled me on the fact BBQ cabbage can be mouthgasmic(yes, i coined that).Service was great as well, however it is quite pricey. Overall we had a great experience though.

Selection of food very special. Drinks tasted very good. Authentic Thai milk tea.very tasty! Unfortunately there is no Pad Thai on the menu, which you usually find in Thai restaurants.

Also an einem Freitag Abend mit Freunden bei Khwan gewesen, es waren nur 2 Kellnerin vor Ort, haben ca. 10 min gewartet bis wir Karten bekommen haben, das bestellen ging relativ stell, doch dann ca. 1 Stunde auf das Essen gewartet, das ist doch etwas zu lange und es war recht gut, aber die lange Wartezeit wert. Die Kellnerinnen können nichts dafür, dass es alles so lange gedauert hat, es muss nicht an Personal gespart werden bei so einem großem Restaurant.

Best authentic Thai food I had in Berlin up to now. The freshness in combination with the spice just like I was back in Isan.

Großartiges Essen. Ich habe Thailändisches Essen nirgends so "anders" kennengelernt. Sehr freundliches Personal.

Also ich sag's mal so: Die Auswahl an Bieren ist ja ganz nett (verschiedene Craft Biere zur Auswahl), aber wer ein Weizen trinken möchte, sollte darauf gefasst sein, dass er evtl. ein Pale Ale bekommt und anders herum. Wir haben am Tisch beides bestellt, aber es wurde genau verkehrt herum gebracht (2x Berliner Berg Pale Ale im Weizen-Glas und 1x Hops & Barley Weizen im Berliner Berg Glas). Als ich darauf hingewiesen habe, dass die Fässer evtl. vertauscht sind (nachdem ich bereits 3x das falsche Bier erhalten habe - ich bin eigentlich erstaunt über meine Geduld), wurde das nur damit abgetan, dass sie das bereits gecheckt hätten, als wir sie beim ersten Mal auf die Verwechslung hingewiesen hatten und dass ich wohl nicht an den Geschmack von Craft Bier gewöhnt sei (das habe eine andere Note). Ich bin leidenschaftliche Biertrinkerin und kannte sogar die beiden Brauereien und Biere, die dort verwechselt wurden. Ich habe mich zu dem Zeitpunkt einfach nur noch verarscht gefühlt und habe es dann aufgegeben. Offenbar trinkt in diesem Laden niemand vom Personal Bier. Selbst beim Hinschauen konnte man erkennen, dass das Pale Ale kein Weizen ist. Ich erwarte keine Bier-Sommeliers in solch einem Laden, aber so einen auffälligen Fehler zu korrigieren und den Gast ernst zu nehmen, sollte schon drin sein, denke ich. Das Personal war ansonsten freundlich und das Ambiente angenehm. Die Räumlichkeiten sind ganz hübsch. Aber auch das Essen hat mich nicht überzeugt. Die Portionen waren für die Preise winzig und die meisten Gerichte fielen sehr sauer aus. Ich steh eigentlich auf saure Gerichte, aber nicht, wenn fast alle Gerichte hauptsächlich sauer schmecken. Kleiner Tipp noch zu dem Bier-Problem: In der Karte stand hinter dem IBU Wert des Berliner Berg Pale Ales "Friedrichshainer Weizen" als Zutat - vielleicht hat das zu der Verwechslung geführt? Ihr könnt ja noch mal nachsehen ;)

Lovely location and food that brings me back to Thailand. Come for sunset on the terrace and enjoy a BBQ with your friends. You will love it.

Good food but not as spicy as in Thailand and the portions were small for the price.

Locale thai immerso in un'atmosfera alternativa, tra ex capannoni abbandonati oggi trasformati in bar, ristoranti e locali di ogni tipo. Consigliata la griglia (una da dividere in due è più che sufficiente), ancora meglio se di carni miste. Un consiglio: non fatevi intimorire dal colore della salsa piccante, è deliziosa!

Das Essen war schon echt lecker, aber so Mini Portionen... Hieß to share... Aber mit wem?nur für mich hättes es nicht Mal gereicht. Dazu kommt dann echt nix dazu...zu porvk Neck , halt nur ein paar Mini Scheibchen porck Neck, nix weiter. Dazu war es echt viel zu laut, live Musik war wahrscheinlich auch nett, aber wir kamen um uns mit Freunden zu unterhalten und nicht anzuschreien. Und zu guter Letzt haben wir auch noch gefroren... Und wir saßen wirklich nicht im bauchfreien Mini top da... Aber... Wie gesagt, lecker

Unser Hotel lag un die Ecke vom RAW Gelände und wir wollten noch was essen. Der Laden wirkte von außen, jetzt nicht gut besucht, aber mal wd Thai, war der Versuch wert. Wir würden dafür belohnt! Selten so gut Thai gegessen! Auch die Bedienung und der Laden an sich haben etwas Einladendes! Es ist aufjedenfall ein Besuch wert!!

Food great but the service really needs to improve (slow, not visible, not paying attention)

Hier speist man sehr zwanglos, ob draußen oder drinnen. Dort ist es etwas düster. Also nix von wegen stylish und hochglanz. Wir haben dort zu Abend gegessen. Bei uns auf dem Tisch standen eine der beiden Vorspeisen, gegrillter Spitzkohl, Baba Ganoush und geräucherte Ente. Die Vorspeise war fein und ein guter Einstieg in die Küche des Hauses. Der Spitzkohl war umwerfend gut, die Auberginen tendenziell auch auf der besseren Seite. Nur das Ei oben drauf hat dieses Gericht "zerlegt". Die geräucherte Entenbrust war mit Abstand das schlechteste Gericht das Abends: Sie war zäh wie Hulle. Das Dressing des Gerichts hat die krosse Haut "schön" aufgeweicht. Irgendwie passte in diesem Gericht alles nicht wirklich zusammen. Von den bestellten Gerichten sind wir (zwei Erwachsene) gut satt geworden. Leider war kein Platz mehr für ein Dessert. Wenn wir noch einmal in der Gegend sein sollten, würden wir wieder vorbeikommen (insbesondere an einem lauen Sommerabend zu empfehlen!), extra dorthin fahren aber nicht. Ein anderer User schreibt: "Einer der besten Thai in Berlin." Wenn das stimmen sollte, wäre es um die Küche Thailands an der Spree nicht so gut bestellt. (Erfreulich, dass sich hier noch Kellner finden, die des Deutschen mächtig sind. Eindeutig ein Pluspunkt für das Khwan!)

Das Essen schmeckt gut nur leider war der Abend von diversen Fauxpas begleitet. Angefangen damit, dass wir einen Tisch reserviert haben und gesagt wurde, dass alle zweier Tische schon vergeben wurden. Aus diesem Grund haben wir uns an die Bar gesetzt. Danach haben wir lange gewartet bis überhaupt eine Bestellung aufgenommen wurde. Als das Essen kam, war dieses nicht richtig warm - sehr schade, denn geschmacklich war es gut. Zudem sind die Portionen sehr klein und man zahlt einen stolzen Preis. Beim Zahlen wurden wir nicht mal gefragt, ob wir zufrieden waren.

Resto thaïlandais dans un cadre très alternatif (quartier des anciens entrepôts). Excellente cuisine, pleine de saveur. Du vrai et bon thai, ce qui n'est pas fréquent. Le personnel est très accueillant et les vins sont originaux et pas hors de prix: un très bon point. Très chouette terrasse. Attention, les portions pour les entrées sont un peu chiches, autant le savoir. Et malheureusement, on nous avons payé 10 EUR de boissons que nous n'avions pas prises et nous ne nous en sommes pas rendu compte de suite... Vérifiez donc votre addition.

Really nice place to have a party at night, or a good diner. Usually some really nice events, often some lifebands from all over the world, or karaoke nights, even evenings where u can decide on ur own which music plays, uktra delicious food, and the barkeepers are generous with the alcohol on those cocktails. ;) Try the basil smash!

Positiv: Nette Bedienung Negativ: Die Bestellungen wurden immer wieder vertauscht. Auch an den anderen Tischen. Bedienung kommt zu selten, um Bestellungen aufzunehmen. Die gegrillten Pilze waren seeehr sauer und nur mit Reis genießbar. Die Aubergine mit Ei war fast schon kalt als wir sie bekommen haben. Vielleicht muss das ja so sein? Uns hat es aber nicht wirklich geschmeckt. Satt sind wir auch nicht geworden von den kleinen und teuren Portionen. Fazit: Nicht nochmal

Das Essen war in Ordnung und hätte vermutlich 4 Sterne verdient, genauso wie die Location. Auch die hier viel munierten Preise gehen grundsätzlich in Ordnung. Ja es ist etwas teurer aber sicher nicht unverschämt. Aber: Leider waren die Portionen teilweise sehr klein, ein Teil der Bestellung wurde zwei Mal vergessen und was gar nicht ging waren die Wartezeiten. Nach Bestellung haben wir mehr als 75 Minuten auf unser Essen warten müssen. Zwar wurden uns dafür eine Runde Freigetränke ausgegeben (ein Plus an der Stelle) doch dauerte auch da der Service wieder ewig und das ohne Erklärung. Als wir schon fast wieder versöhnlich gehen wollten kam die Rechnung erst nach viermaliger (!) Bitte und weiteren 20 Minuten. Insgesamt also offenbar hausgemachte Probleme, die leider dazu führten, dass es für uns kein rundes Restauranterlebnis war.

Einmaliges Thai-Streetfood-Abenteuer!

Super tasty and very much different from the samsame but same offers of the other Thai places. Can highly recommend it. Staff is very friendly, i hope next time the food comes together, but we were not bothered to much. Left happy knowing that a new tasty Spot is so close by

Service was terribly slow. We waited for over an hour and we still didn’t even have our drinks. Food was okay, but definitely not worth such a long wait. The pork neck was very tasty, but the mushrooms were too sour due to all the limes and the beef tasted like nothing other than chili. It was so spicy, that we did not even finish it. We won’t be coming back.

Für mich einer der besten Thai in Berlin. Das Essen ist exzellent. Scharf aber nicht zu scharf. Wir kommen jederzeit gern wieder.

Just quite underwhelming, service slow, papaya salad underspiced, too sour, not pounded in a mortar, pork not caramelized, and smokey aubergine boring without a hint of smoke. Drinks were decent.

Horrible service and food is too expensive and not even good

We had high expectations but ultimately got disappointed. The service was slow and the food was alright but certainly not worth the money. The portions are way too small for what you pay for. The flavors were certainly Thai but for a sharing experience their options are quickly limited. I want to like it but I can't.

Sehr gutes Essen in industrieller Umgebung. Kreative Thai Küche, viele kleine Portionen zum Teilen. Nicht immer perfekt organisiert, aber das gehört dazu. Später abends beliebt für Drinks.

Einfach nur "wow". Wer keine standard asiatische Küche will der ist hier genau richtig. Oberklasse Qualität gepaart mit urbanen, berliner Charm. Die Zutaten sind erstklassig und frisch. Ein Ort für einen sehr gelungen Abend. Unbedingt probieren: Austern!

Exelente Küche, Spitzenservice!

A tradicional northern Thai place with modern decoration. Food was excellent, price is reasonable (10€ for roasted chicken, 14€ on a special aubergine, 3€ for extra portion of rice, 5€ for a beer). The annex bar space is transformed at night into a event area. We were invited this time for Challenge Night, where circus-like attractions interacted with the people present. Would definitely recommend and come back again soon.

The food was really not the best. The chicken was accompanied by a weird sauce, i didn’t really like it. The place and area are nice but the service is not the most friendly. I think you can find better thai restaurants in Berlin.

Lugar encantador, comida excelente, thai muy sofisticado. Mucha variedad y calidad de vinos. Y tras una cena esquisita he podido disfrutar de un concierto.

Richtige Tourifalle. Alles an diesem Laden ist furchtbar. Die Qualität des Essens ist unterirdisch schlecht und dafür einfach komplett überteuert. Ich zahle gerne den Preis, wenn die Qualität stimmt, aber dort zu essen ist rausgeschmissenes Geld. Der Service ist auch super schlecht, unprofessionell und ignorant. Zudem war es drinnen erstens Sau kalt und super laut - man konnte sich kaum normal unterhalten und musste sich fast anschreien, um sich zu verstehen. Dazu kam ein durchgängig massiver Abflussgeruch. Also alles in allem einfach nicht zu empfehlen. Wir werden dort nie wieder einen Fuß reinsetzten.

As a Thai people i can say The foods really amazing it’s a real thai flavor very fresh and high quality foods. And staff are very friendly and Music was amazing can’t wait to go back again. Highly recommend

We reserved a table at Khwan last night but when we arrived the reservation couldn’t be found so please check if that system works well. I had a confirmation email, yet there was no reservation in your system. I appreciate that you accomodated us regardless but we were given a table in the bar area which has a good vibe but something was clearly off. We were nicely greeted by who seemed the bar manager so the experience started off well. However, things went downhill from here unfortunately. The menu doesn’t say that meals don’t include rice. When we ordered rice, the waiter said he already added it. Interesting, so if we hadn’t asked we would have been surprised by the extra charge for the rice on our bill. I think it would be much better to put this information on the menu somewhere, a simple disclaimer that the dishes don’t include sides. The food itself tasted really nice but the service overall ruined the experience a bit. At least 4 different waiters served us during the night, often brining things we didn’t order and forgetting things we did order. When we paid we asked if we could split the bill and pay with a card, we were told “no problem”, but when we made the payment we were told “sorry we can’t split it”. One would expect a place with such high prices and seemingly priding itself of its cuisine to have at least a half decent service. Luckily the above things are easy to fix and I hope you take my comments into consideration. I think your staff could use a service training and you should analyse your service process.

Based on our experience at the re-opening night where we were served only the tapas - Overpriced for such a mediocre tasting dishes. Especially when you have plenty of competition for asian tapas in the neighborhood. But will do return to try out main dishes if and when they plan to start serving it.

The food is good and very much like I would expect for good thai BBQ - smoky as hell and tasty with a generous amount of taste. But what is missing is the balance, it is weird for me to eat something as good as that and feel unsatisfied afterwards. More vegetables and side dishes are needed. Sticky rice should be a bit more sticky and the prices are just way too high for the amount of food one gets. Oysters were fresh and good, pork belly was tasty but overpriced. If you like it smoky and are prepared to spend, then go for it. Order more than one main per person.

The food is incredibly good, great drinks, we had a lovely night, very stylish. We even got to listen to some great music. Great overall experience.

Nicht nur die Location und Atmosphäre ist hier einmalig, man merkt das in jedem einzelnen Gericht viel Arbeit steckt und die Küche ist absolut authentisch Thailändisch. Am Wochenende gibt es zusätzlich noch gutes Entertainmant als Untermalung.. perfekt um einen spannenden Abend mit Freunden zu erleben!

Endlich wieder eröffnet. Wir freuen uns schon auf den Sommer und die Außenterrasse. Wir hatten einen wundervollen Abend mit vorzüglichen Essen und toller Bedienung im Khwan. Asiatische Tapas. Sehr zu empfehlen!

The first time it was really good this summer. Now the quality isn't that good anymore and it is too expensive for that size of portions. the portion size of sticky rice is ridiculous. I had to order two charged portions just for myself for one main dish.

Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe da. Der Service war komplett überfordert. Die Gerichte kamen über anderthalb Stunden verteilt, so dass jede/r einzeln gegessen hat. Das Essen war ziemlich mittelmäßig und winzige Portionen, die Austern waren sogar ziemlich schlecht. Als der Service auf das versetzte Bringen der Speisen angesprochen wurde, gab's eine Belehrung über thailändische Küche. Danke - dann in Zukunft gerne ohne uns.

Simply delicious, world class Thai. You won't find your standard pad Thai and green curries but a rich and varied menu with great veggie options. I'd recommend the aubergine, the Papaya salad and the charred cabbage.

Not sure why the mixed reviews. We have been to Thailand several times and this was very close to what we tasted there. Really nice location, great natural wines, and super tasty plates to share. Really recommend the fish, chicken and eggplant dishes.

Selten bekommt man z. B. Nam Tok beim Thailänder im europäischen Ausland. Hier gibt eine sehr gute Auswahl an Spezialitäten, die man normalerweise hier nicht bekommt. Sehr authentisch und absolut empfehlenswert.

This place is where the magic happens. Definitely not your random asian restaurant that serves pad thai and [insert protein] in green curry. Every dish we‘ve ever had at Khwan is well thought, executed perfectly and with high quality ingredients. Restaurants of this caliber only exist in large international cities and Berlin sure is lucky to have it.

I was visiting Khwan the first time some years ago and it was an amazing experience, good service, good food! Now after some years it seems they totally lost it! The waitress was really bad, no knowledge about the food nore about wine and no attitude and she seemed really unmotivated! In my first visit they had a really nice banquet menue to share with other people to try more of the menu and the waiter explained every dish and you felt he was standing behind it! The banquet menue is not offered anymore ( you male more money with single dishes i guess) and the food was brought with no words for it! The only thing...the dessert was still the same and still great! Just the waitress forgot about the gluten intolerance of my friend, which he told her rightaway we came, and the dessert was tasty for him but just while eating it😉

Für mich der absolute Favorit wenn es um aromatisches authentisches Thaifood geht. Eine Geschmacksrxplosion die sei seines gleichen sucht. Schönes Ambiente und aufmerksamer Service.

Most interesting and tasty Thai place in Berlin. It's not your standard Pad Thai place with questionable curry, but revel in some curried crab claws, smoked beef and marrow and other outstanding delicacies.

Nice place with a huge terrace and lots of space. Friendly and very supportive staff. Great Thai food. Meals are not so big, but very tasty. Pork neck comes with an amazing sauce, fish is a bit too fried, the chicken lasp is a little tasteless. In general it's very tasty and well spiced.

Wow! Try. the. fish. The one in north thai sauce. It'll blow you're mind! As will the other dishes...

The best papaya salat in Berlin!!!

Der Fisch ist super , sehr knusprig , tolle Saucen ,grandios hergerichtet, absolut zu empfehlen. Das Hähnchen ist leider sehr enttäuschend, das absolute Gegenteil sowohl im Geschmack als auch in der Präsentation.

Die Location ist für Touristen schon was besonderes, da das Restaurant in einem alten Gelände für Eisenbahnaufbereitungen liegt und alles einen gewissen berliner Hinterhofcharme hat. Das Essen war lecker und ausgefallen, genau wie die Cocktails. Ich empfehle einen Besuch.
