Khon Thai in Bad Münstereifel

My partner and I ate there with our 2 dogs. Although dogs are not allowed inside the restaurant, they are allowed on the terrace and the fan heater was turned on for us. The service was friendly and the food was very good, the meat wasn't too fatty and the vegetables were very crunchy and fresh. We would definitely come back.

It took a long time before we (group) were asked for drinks. The food was absolutely delicious 😋. We all would have drunk more if someone had asked.

We have been visiting Khon Thai in Bad Münstereifel regularly for some time now and are mostly satisfied. The food is authentic and delicious, especially the spring rolls as a starter and the duck are really recommended! Unfortunately, on our last visits we noticed that the service had deteriorated somewhat. The service was inattentive at times and we had to wait about an hour for our food. Another negative point was that a dish that had a spiciness level of 1 on the menu was prepared much too spicy. The portion of the Pad Thai was also rather small this time and wasn't really filling. It's better to stay away from the dessert, unfortunately it didn't convince us. It's worth enjoying something sweet in one of the nice cafés in the city instead. Overall, the restaurant is still worth a visit, and with a little more attention to service, it could build on the previous positive experiences. A little additional training for employees might make sense.

It's okay, but the food doesn't blow anyone away, but it's pretty cheap. The view is great, great terrace. Sauces too watery, if you order spicy Thai style, no one would trust you.

I have loved Thai cuisine for just over 35 years. During this time I've eaten at around 28 different restaurants, so I'm in a position to give a review. The service this lunchtime was courteous and nice, but very slow. The ambience is getting old, but conveys Thai tradition. Now let's get to the actual review. The food (number 41) green curry tasted very good and was well seasoned. Unfortunately the chicken wasn't very good. It was too firm for me (more like turkey) and not quite as tender. It cooked too long (overcooked). In my opinion it wasn't quite as fresh anymore, it had something from the fridge on it. The starters, the glass noodle salad and the spring rolls, as well as the red vegetable curry from my companion were top!

Everybody is talking about real authentic food but I have no idea why. Mixed starters were all fried and since when are cheese croquettes Thai food? Main dish was ok but also not really Thai cuisine. Didn’t taste any fresh herbs.

Slecht voorgerecht! Had niks met de Thaise keuken te maken. Wij hadden een mix van alle voorgerechten. Was gefrituurd en smakeloos. Hoofdgerechten waren zeer matig en we misten de verse Thaise kruiden. Bediening vonden wij ook zeer matig en waren niet bereid tot een beetje extra service zoals het verschaffen van vochtige doekjes die wij vroegen omdat onze handen plakten na het voorgerecht. Zeker niet voor herhaling vatbaar. Waarschijnlijk waren we er met te hoge verwachtingen ingegaan. Wij zijn dol op de Thaise keuken maar die was hier ver te zoeken.

Reservations went well by phone. Service was very nice and always looked after you. If something was forgotten in the heat of the moment and you brought it to your attention, it would be taken care of immediately. Service is really top. Food was really very tasty. Both rice and noodle dishes. Portions are reasonable for the price and fill you up well. Spicy is stated on the menu and varies from not spicy to slightly spicy to spicy. Both vegetarians and vegans have a choice of dishes. Cocktail was also delicious. The Thai atmosphere inside is really great, outside on the terrace is fine (not extremely Thai in style), but definitely nicer inside. Definitely worth a visit.

The food is super delicious and spicy, very authentic. The only Thai restaurant that I have found in Europe that serves authentic flavors like in Thailand. We will come back for sure.

Freundliche Bedienung, essen aber zu teuer für das Gebotene. Vegetarische Frühlingsrollen nur mit Glasnudeln gefüllt, geschmacklich eher etwas fade, die Ente nicht wirklich knusprig so wie in der Karte angepriesen. Da haben wir in einen vergleichbaren Restaurant in Bonn günstiger und um Welten besser gegessen.

Very nice, particularly tasty restaurant, prices are a little more expensive than other restaurants. But you also have to say much tastier than the other Thai, Chinese restaurants.

I rarely write reviews but it's really appropriate here. The ambience is nice, the staff hardworking and the food was simply fantastic. Highly recommended are the cheese balls and number 31 - duck with chili garlic sauce. I've never eaten such delicious duck before, I'm looking forward to my next visit!

We were here on a Saturday evening with a reservation, which was necessary. The service was very friendly and attentive. We had the appetizer platter, which was good so far, but very greasy. The two main courses were very tasty and the atmosphere in the restaurant was really great. We can definitely recommend it!

The food is really incredibly good, so much so that we even spend 20 minutes each way to pick up our food there. Unfortunately, the room in which you could previously eat while sitting on the floor has been converted into a "normal" room. But the food and service really stand out in the region.

Sehr lecker, thailändische Atmosphäre

Lecker einfach nur Lecker. Die Vorspeise waren vegetarische Frühlingsrollen mit einer leicht scharfen Soße.. Das waren echt die besten die wir je gegessen haben. Die Ente hätte für mich knusprigen sein können aber sie war mega Zart, Gemüse super frisch und bissfest gegart und der Reis hat super dazu gepasst. Da gleiche gilt dafür das Hähnchengericht nur das dieses super knusprig war. Der Geschmack von allen Speisen war wirklich genial. Es lohnt sich dort Essen zu gehen.

Sehr netter Service. Super Essen, alles mega frisch und schön angerichtet. Das Gemüse knackig und alles hat eine tolle Farbe. Hier wird frisch gekocht. Das schmeckt und sieht man. Und es ist soooo lecker! Das Essen war schnell da trotz dass sehr viel los war und der Service war auch auf zack. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Unser liebstes Restaurant hier in der Gegend! Das Essen ist wunderbar, mit frischen Zutaten und schön arrangiert. Waren schon sehr oft dort und sind nie enttäuscht. Auch die vegetarischen Tofugerichte sind sehr lecker, mein Liebling ist die Nr 83, Geng Phak mit rotem Curry. Zu empfehlen ist auf jeden Fall auch der Mai Tai, der es in sich hat! Die Bedienungen sind immer freundlich, die Preise sehr fair!

Dort habe ich auch schon öfter gegessen, es war immer sehr lecker. Ok, nicht ganz billig, aber dafür gutes Essen. Was die Wartezeiten betrifft, was an anderer Stelle schon mal bemängelt wurde, kann ich nur sagen: Gutes Essen dauert eben sein Zeit und wenn es voll ist, dann dauert es eben. Hexen können die Mitarbeiter in der Küche auch nicht :)

Von außen eher unscheinbar, allerdings bekommt man im Restaurant das Gefühl in Thailand zu sein. Authentische thailändische Küche. Absolute Empfehlung!!!!

Schön gelegen im Herzen von Bad Münstereifel. Die Plätze im außen Bereich sind top. Die Bedienungen waren sehr nett und kompetent. Das original thailändische Essen ist teilweise sehr speziell, aber eben auch nicht der übliche Einheits Brei anderer Restaurants. Die Preise fanden wir gemessen an den Portions Größen als zu teuer. Kommen gerne noch einmal um andere Gerichte zu probieren.

Meine Frau und ich sind gerne im Khon Thai zu Gast. Der Service ist immer wieder freundlich. Die Speisen sind immer lecker und gut portioniert. Unsere Speise Empfehlung ist die Tom Kha Gai Suppe.

Due to the frequent rainy weather the outside dining area is often if not always under plastic cover. The Atmosphere of this isn't all that pleasant. The Staff aren't overly nice or anything but are willing to follow sudden requests such as table arrangements and adding more people to the party after ordering. The price to food ratio was decent when taking the quality of the food into account.

Ok, unser erster Besuch vor etwa einem Jahr war nicht so, dass wir wiederkommen wollten. Dann haben mich die vielen positiven Rezensionen Neugierig gemacht. Heute 2. Chance: volle Punktzahl. Tom Gha Kai - super lecker. Der vorspeisenteller prima, Tofu mit Gemüse schmackhaft und Ente mit Curry toll. Dazu sehr freundlicher Service, kurze Wartezeit - besser gehts nicht. Wir sind froh, wieder ein Thailändisches Restaurant in der Nähe zu haben und werden wieder kommen. Namaste
