A little meat but a lot of money

I ate a Dürüm kebab with veal here. I was served in a friendly manner. The kebab was prepared with fresh ingredients and brought to my table, which unfortunately is often no longer a given these days. The kebab was quite good. The meat was a little lacking in taste, but OK. You can add more seasoning if you want. I would give this a 4. What's particularly worth mentioning is that you can get the cay here for free.

Super delicious and you can also get hot tea free of charge.

The name “Big Döner” is well deserved here. The kebab was really big and had a lot of meat in it. And the vegetables weren't really stingy either. I can fully accept the price/performance ratio. The guys are very friendly, but the veal kebab is nowhere near what it used to be. The meat can no longer be eaten; it is tough, dry and tasteless. That's why we unfortunately don't eat there anymore.

Kelle paça soup is actually meat soup. Even though I specifically asked, they persistently said head and foot. But it doesn't matter. Contrary to its appearance, İskerder döner was tasteless and burnt. The sauce is predominantly closer to tomato paste. I waited more than 15 minutes for a cup of tea after dinner. I got up without drinking.

For me one of the best kebab shops in my hometown! A large selection of dishes and everything prepared fresh and pleasing to the eye! Friendly service is the order of the day here and you get something for your money! You can take all the food with you or enjoy it inside and out!

Always friendly and I know what I want to order as soon as I walk in, including any special requests. Food always tastes delicious too. The fact that I always have to say hello to my family also makes the relationship with the employees particularly good. Overall everything is always great. As a tip: card payment is not possible. But the savings bank is right around the corner.

Bad service and overpriced!!!!!!! I was absolutely disappointed with my last visit. Charging 15 euros for a kebab plate and then not even asking what I want on it is a disaster in terms of price-performance. Afterwards, the employee even tried to take my plate away to remove the fries! Such behavior is unacceptable. The previous owners and the food back then were worlds better. This store has unfortunately deteriorated greatly, both in terms of service and quality. I definitely won't come here again in the future. Too bad!

The Big Doner is very good!! The meat, the roll and the side dishes were very well balanced and seasoned very well. Also the minced meat pide, very good. I can only recommend this restaurant, the seating and the ambience are also very appealing. Gladly, again and again and keep it up. 👍👍👍

Bad customer service. My boyfriend had to wait 25+ minutes for his order. He asked a couple of times when it would come and they said he would get it soon. Then the customers behind him got their Döner first, which was the exact same. Again, when he asked, they did not give him any explanation why they would prioritise the later placed order. After that, he left and got the Döner in a different restaurant and we are not planning to coming back anytime soon.

The value of customers is not treated with respect, the more money they earn, the greedier they become.

My husband picked up food at 10pm today. We had chicken with rice, minced meat skewers with rice, bread, tzatziki. Bread and tzatziki were good. Unfortunately the rest was not edible. I have never eaten such bad Turkish food. Maybe had a bad day?

can you eat, portions are ok, My stepfather made the bean soup with veal, it gave more flavor and was also very weak. Ordered veal döneg, got dry beef, the few fries were soggy, salad was good. Unfortunately the kebab came too quickly and was of course cold. overall very slack, there's a decent portion of spicy missing from everything, why a dead douse then comes to the table as an idol of fat change ;-)

The food was delicious. Both the Mercimek soup (warmed in the microwave) and the Yaprak plate were well seasoned and the meat was almost free of cartilage and tendons. Unfortunately the price is not right here. I'm happy to spend money for good performance. But not with self-service! That's why everything is overpriced.

I paid a total of €11 for a falafel kebab (falafel INSTEAD of meat or INSTEAD of grilled vegetables of course) + 1 ayran. Where does this price come from when the vegetarian kebab actually costs €7 and I only replaced the fried vegetables with falafel??? The falafel was obviously frozen, as is the case in most stores, but how does this price of €11 come together? The operator was visibly annoyed when I entered, I remained friendly because I understand that you can simply have a bad day. But charging me €11 (potentially out of frustration) is simply fraud and simply not good treatment of people. After reading other reviews, I can only agree. Anyone who doesn't fit into the world view is treated unequally, it's a shame that this xenophobia exists, all the kebab shops I've visited so far have served every customer with the same amount of respect, behavior like that in this shop is simply a weak character.

Tasty kebab at a reasonable price, the meat is not dry and the bouquet of vegetables is rich, I recommend trying it. The only drawback is that the sauces are not expressive.

Really good kebab and meets the quality criteria that I want for every kebab shop: Homemade bread and homemade skewered meat. Also super friendly and the portion is also good. Certainly one if not the best kebab in Nuremberg. Especially the veal kebab. Definitely a recommendation

With distance! The best kebab in Nuremberg. The service, all in all, is brilliant here. And I tried every Turkish restaurant in Nuremberg and the surrounding area.

We arrived about 1.5 hours before closing time, there was only a little meat left, but it was just enough for two kebabs, the taste was OK, we don't have to do it again, the bread/wrap is homemade there and was the only highlight. Service good. Parking was terrible, we found something further away on the side of the road. The shop can be reached via a few steps and is level inside (accessible for disabled people). Lots of seats. Doner and grilled meat dishes. Very expensive in terms of price, €8 for a kebab. In total we paid €26 for 2 OKEY kebabs, 2 drinks and 1 dry & tasteless "Halka Tatli". We don't like coming back here.

Until recently I really enjoyed going to this kebab shop because it simply tasted good and you rarely had to wait long. Until today (April 6th), I actually always found the service to be very nice and you felt really comfortable there. Unfortunately, I no longer like the shop at all, as you are obviously being looked at, flirted with and even asked if you are interested in marrying a colleague from there because he needs German citizenship. That didn't work at all!

Veal option, large portions, friendly staff, long opening hours, alcohol served. Everything, compared to kebab competitors, is not a given.

The bread is homemade! The Yaprak kebab is sensationally good. On top of that there was even baklava and tea on the house. And the warm staff was the cherry on top. Highly recommended and my first choice next time.

It was my first time there and it's not the best kebab shop I've ever visited. The food is like a normal, standard kebab shop. Not bad, but not gourmet food either. But what is really surprising are the prices. 15 € for a kebab plate? I can go to a restaurant straight away. It's not the best location, nor is the food worthy of charging so much money. I won't come anymore. For comparison, I pay the same price for a burger with a drink in a hip shop in Lorenzkirche. This is the southern part of town. Here I am in a snack bar in no man's land. Where do these high prices come from?

Doner/Dürüm tastes very, very good, I've been a regular customer for 4 years, but a €0.50 price increase per year is far too expensive and, depending on the day, the portions are much smaller than they should be, so you can't even get a big Döner/Dürüm anymore (9€) really fills you up. Unfortunately, it's a shame, but as I said, one of the best in terms of taste

The white sauce was extremely sour on Saturday 01/20/24. The kebab or dürüm was virtually inedible. We ended up having to throw these away. I've always enjoyed being a guest, but that's just a total no go, especially given the prices. The service was, as always, very nice and courteous. Hence 2 stars. However, I'm not coming anymore.

Good kebab, really tasty! But €8.50 for a large one that doesn't fill me up is unworthy. Only the pide was big, unfortunately there wasn't much meat - but everything was delicious!

Der beste Döner weit und breit. Es handelt sich nicht um einen schnöden Hackfleischdöner, sondern um einen echten mit guter Qualität. Auch die anderen Gerichte zeugen von Qualität. Man muss zwar manchmal etwas warten, aber Qualität geht einfach nicht schnell-schnell. Die Angestellten sind freundlich und bemüht. Das Ambiente ist nicht unbedingt top, aber sehr nett, sodass man auch gerne einkehrt. Klare Empfehlung, wenn der Preis nicht so wichtig ist, sondern es wirklich schmecken soll.

Update 9.1.24 Heute zum wiederholten mal hier gegessen und sehr freundlich bedient Essen wiederum sehr gut. Deswegen auf 5 Sterne erhöht. Schon oft vorbei gegangen und nie dazu gekommen. Heute hat's mal geklappt Dönerteller war gut, allerdings war im Lakmacun der ohne Fleisch bestellt war etwas drin. Für uns nicht unbedingt ein Problem, sollte aber nicht sein. Die Bedienung war höflich und zuvor komment. Wir werden gerne wieder kommen.

Definitiv einer der leckersten Döner in Nürnberg! Das Bild spricht für sich, üppig und abwechslungsreich belegt. Nettes Personal, immer einen Abstecher in der Mittagspause wert.

Kalbs Dönerteller schmeckt sau gut. Salat perfekt. Die Mischung zwischen Fleisch, Reis, Pommes und Salat passt. Also kein gestreckter Trick Döner. Man rucht auch nicht nach Döner danach, Lüftung funktioniert. Kollegin, Kollegen und Chef gegen Freundlich miteinander um. 🙏🙏🙏

Hallo. Wir waren zu dritt,hatten Döner teller und verschiedenes mit Nachtisch. Alles nur zu empfehlen sehr lecker und immerwieder gerne. Das paklawa süß uns saftig so wie man es nag. Das Brot ohne Worte. Selbstgemachte und zu reinlegen. Ich kann es euch nur empfehlen. Gruß Martin.

Solider, guter Döner, leider etwas zu teuer. Brot ist selbstgebacken, Salat frisch, Fleisch geschichtet und gut gewürzt. Früher hab ich mir hier oft einen Döner geholt und gerne Trinkgeld dagelassen. Leider gab es in den letzten Jahren mehrere Preiserhöhungen. 7,50 Euro für einen normalen Döner ist schon sehr teuer. Für einen hervorragenden Döner wäre ich bereit das zu zahlen, für einen durchschnittlichen bis guten, wie man ihn hier bekommt ist's mir zu viel. Inzwischen mache ich daher lieber den kleinen Umweg zur Landgrabenstraße oder zum Aufseßplatz. Dort gibt's vergleichbare Qualität zum geringeren Preis (~6 EUR)
