The food is absolutely excellent. Baked goods are freshly baked and the skewers come from the charcoal grill. The Persian seasoning gives you a completely different taste experience than with Turkish charcoal grills. The service is also super nice and the prices are absolutely reasonable. Für mich mit deutlichem Abstand eines der besten Restaurants auf der ganzen Venloer Str. Qualität der Zutaten und auch die Zubereitung sind hervorragend. Außerdem Salat und Beilagen, die auch für sich alleine super schmecken. Für die gebotene Qualität finde ich die Preise eher niedrig.

Ich habe kürzlich im KebabXpress zu Abend gegessen, einem Restaurant, das köstliche persische Küche serviert. Die Aromen, die ich erlebt habe, waren wirklich außergewöhnlich, insbesondere der iranische Dogh, der meine Geschmacksknospen begeistert hat. Das was ich da gegessen habe war kein Kebab... sondern ein Fleischspieß im Brot... war Hervorragend!... Doch KEIN Kebab!

Die Spieße und der Reis sind von sehr guter Qualität und das frische Brot ist ausgezeichnet.

KepabXpress? Wohl eher No Kebap und wait 20minutes. Was für eine traurige Entschuldigung für eine Falafel. Die Venloer Straße blüht nur mit hochwertigen, schnellen und preisgünstigen Falafeloptionen. Dieses Restaurant hat es sich ganz klar zur Aufgabe gemacht diesen Ruf in den Keller zu ziehen. 20min warten auf ein Falafel Sandwich, mit 5 Gästen im Laden? Okay. Manchmal hat man vielleicht einen schlechten Tag, dann sollte man aber den Namen ganz stark überdenken. Präsentiert werden einem Tiefkühlfalafeln die meiner Meinung nach noch nie eine Friteuse gesehen haben, schwach. Das Brot ist kleiner als durchschnittlich und in dem Preissegment Mal wieder: schwach. Belegt wird das Sandwich mit der Pinzette, bloß nicht zu viel! Ein Salatkopf muss für den ganzen Tag reichen ist die Devise. Schwach. Der Knaller kommt aber zum Schluss. Wenn man das alles über sich ergehen lassen musste wird man allen ernstes gefragt ob man Ketchup oder Mayo auf seine Falafel haben will. Ich weiß nicht in welcher Kultur das so gemacht wird aber ganz sicher nicht aus dem Herkunftsland der runden Köstlichkeit aus Kichererbsen. Und wenn man dann noch nicht genug hatte: 6,50€. Kalt war es auch noch. Was soll ich da noch sagen? Tut euch, als Besitzer, einen Gefallen und geht 150m in die eine und 150m in die andere Richtung und guckt euch die Konkurrenz an. Entweder Falafel komplett von der Karte streichen oder MASSIV die Struktur überdenken. Ich bin schockiert. Schwach.

Finding a very delicious Persian food abroad is a bit hard. I can definitely say that the Persian foods I tasted in this place, were so delicious. This bussiness is running by a lovely couple from Iran and Turkey with friendly and warm behavior which caused a pleasant time for me and my guests every time we visited there.

We went with a big group and tried different kababs there. The food is tasty, they serve rice with a piece of butter, very Iranian style. There is also freshly baked bread. Chenje kebab is exceptionally good and highly recommended, so soft and perfect. They also serve traditional doogh and it tasted amazing. The waitress is incredibly kind and friendly, she makes you feel you're a house guest. We didn't try any stews(khoresh). There are a few vegetarian options too, but very limited. Although you wouldn't expect much from a kebab place of course.

Bester Laden in ganz Köln. Tische sauber, essen frisch einfach nur Perfekt. Wenn es ein Laden in Kalk gibt dann ist es dieser.

We tried this place as it was close to our accommodation in Cologne. Firstly, the atmosphere was amazing! The lady who was waiting the tables was super friendly and really made our day with her attitude. The restaurant was packed but she and some of the other guests made space for us. Because it was so busy we waited for the food a bit longer than usual. I am not an expert in the cuisine so our order was quite basic. Definitely get the tandoori bread and the rice for sides! And lamb meat rather than chicken as I found that to be a bit dry. Overall the prices were fair and it’s definitely more than just another kebab shop.
