Was there for the first time 🥰I really liked it! A must for cat lovers🐈‍⬛😍The furry friends feel very comfortable there, good food & very nice service a good concept!👍Will come again🐾🐾 01/29/25! It's a real shame that the Hanover Cat Temple is closed.

Went to the Cat Temple for the first time a few months ago, The food is vegan and we just wanted to try it. Unfortunately, that wasn't our case at all. I'm not vegan either, but I've had better vegan patties on burgers than these. Unfortunately, the service also left a lot to be desired, we had to wait a long time until someone came despite asking several times. The cats were all super cute and we would come back for that. Unfortunately we didn't try cake, but I'm sure it tasted very good. 😄

I purchased a voucher because my mother was really looking forward to the experience at the Cat Temple. Unfortunately, we were faced with locked doors when we arrived - with no prior information that the temple was closed. My emails and calls have not been responded to or responded to. It's a shame because we were looking forward to the visit. One question still remains unanswered: what about my voucher now?!

We had planned to celebrate my daughter's birthday at Café Hannover. After two emails and numerous calls, I never received a response.

Unfortunately you are faced with closed doors 🥲 According to the other reviews, it doesn't seem to be an isolated case. Please communicate things like this 🙏🏻 So that you don't go there completely for free. Google makes it possible to communicate spontaneous changes.

I am very disappointed. We reserved a table a few weeks ago, but today the reservation was canceled without giving any reason. The phone isn't even answered and my email isn't answered either.

Very cute shop. I was there with my daughter. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was tasty and filling. As an extra, a cat cuddles around your legs here and there. All in all a pleasant and cozy shop with good food

Positives: Very yummy brunch that i had, the cats are so CUTE, the place was pleasant to be in and would come again. Negatives: to be honest tho, how the hell is the burger gonna be like 15 euros and then the CHIPS ON TOP OF THAT another 5 euros .. like what. 20 euros for chips and a burger. good thing i didnt go for that, like ok the "crossoinandwich" was like 14.90 so not cheap but like.. for what it is worth, a lot better. also why is there no free tap water..? had to get a small glass of filtered water for 2.40 .. crazy tbh. like id come back for sure , the positives certainly outweigh the negatives but its defo some food for thought.

I'm a little disappointed because I came mainly because of the cats, but there wasn't much to see them, or they seemed pretty aphatic, annoyed and overworked... I feel sorry for the cats, it's too much stress with all the people and background noise. .. So if, like me, you go there mainly to cuddle, you will be rather disappointed. I can't say anything about the food, but it looked very good. I had a Latte Machiato which was good.

Fantastic vegan burgers, very good tiramisu and a nice atmosphere with the adorable cats. I felt very comfortable and would love to come back!

We specifically looked online on Google and their site to see when they were open. It said Mon-Sun. Well we stood in front of the closed door 🤦🏻‍♀️

The room seems a bit sterile, but still ok and, above all, clean. Difficult to agree on keeping cats. The cats definitely have enough toys, attention and places to rest. Roll-up toilet available, main entrance one step with a short plastic ramp (works well for two people).

The Katzentempel Hannover is a super cute cat café with very tasty drinks. The cats were all very open to visitors and love to be petted. The café is very open so that you can see every cat at any time, which is a bit tiring in the long run because everyone can watch you when a cat has chosen to be petted by you. Can highly recommend the cat café.

I checked out the Cat Temple at my son's request. It's a great concept, for me there could have been more cats, nicely decorated for the furry friends. We didn't try any food, we only had drinks. In my opinion it is quite expensive, but the cats also have to be entertained. 😊 One service person was very nice, the other probably had a not so good day, but we all have that.

Unfortunately contrary to what is stated on the website and according to Google it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Big disappointment for my birthday... standing in front of closed doors, 2 little sad children who love cats and a 90 minute drive for the cat, what a shame.

Just walked into the cafe and immediately hit the nose with the smell of cat urine. Honestly, it immediately spoiled the mood a little. It was not very comfortable to be there. Even more so to eat. The prices are a little high, but I hope this is in order to take care of the cats. The cats are all beautiful and well-groomed They don't really come into contact, it's a little disappointing, because they are so beautiful that you want to touch them. But on the other hand, it's good, because many visitors are with children, and children sometimes don't know how to handle animals.

At first I only went there because of the cats, but I have to give special praise to the food! I actually didn't have high expectations since the focus is on the cats, but I was very surprised. Food was very fresh and the quantity was excellent, iced matcha latte was also very tasty. The service was also TOP!

Beautiful! We were there on Sunday afternoon and traveled an extra hour by car because our daughter and her friend (13 years old) love cats. The team was friendly, attentive and helpful from the first minute. The food was really tasty and prepared with attention to detail - each plate had an individual paw print created from a spice or powder 😊 We also really liked the concept for the cats - petting was allowed. When the cats go away or sleep, leave them alone. This also ensures the welfare of the animals. And all I can say about the cats is that they are beautiful, deeply relaxed, they all let themselves be petted and were well behaved...no begging or problems eating. The kittens were all really well behaved. I wish we had a cat temple in Wolfsburg too! And I say that as a dog owner and dog lover. We all thought it was really great and delicious there. Absolutely recommended if you treat the cats with respect. We'll definitely be back!!!

The food and service were good! Since everything is vegan, we didn't have to think twice. The “substitutes” for the typical animal products are good. Unfortunately, the furniture and structure made the atmosphere cold and uncomfortable. It felt like you were in a concrete apartment! :(

They really need to pay more attention to ensuring that the cats are handled sensibly. Especially when there are children there. Information to guests when entering the store should be mandatory. A few kids were running around and bothering the cats. They've already hit and snapped. Parents weren't interested at all. Otherwise it was really nice, I love cats and have 2 at home. Food was good, quite expensive. Read a number of comments here that no attention was paid to whether people behaved sensibly towards the animals. So it's not an isolated case and happens regularly. If you can't control your children, you should go to the wildlife park for a few hours.

We had an amazing Sunday lunch here. The prices are a bit high but that is to be expected for a cat café. The food was just out of this world. The waiter was super friendly and we only had to wait for ten minutes for our food. We'll definitely visit again. All the cute cats and careful interior planning regarding them is just a bonus for this lovely location. Only big downside I would say is that the ventilation vent was really loud and kind of distracting. Other than that our visit was perfect.

It is interesting place to explore in Hanover. The food is a bit pricey from what we get. Cats walk around in the restaurant and we can play with them. I would recommend you to book because it is quickly full booking on the weekend.

The food was, as always, super delicious. The employees are all friendly and in a good mood, you immediately feel at home. Of course it's not exactly quiet on Marienstrasse, but that's what you're used to as a Hanoverian. The cats all look healthy and balanced. See you soon :*

I really have no idea what the bad reviews are about, maybe the reviewers just had a bad day or are just stupid. Yes, it's not exactly cheap, but you also have to think about how much the store costs, so I think it's completely justified. It's just a little experience that you pay for there. The food was great, we ate a bowl and it was incredibly tasty (the homemade guacamole is amazing, I have no idea what they put in it, but I've never eaten anything so delicious). The toilets were very clean, the music wasn't too loud and the young man who did the service was super nice and attentive. The cats are doing very well there, there is plenty of play and an incredible amount of climbing opportunities. Fresh water is available several times, Feliway is used and there are also opportunities to retreat. In contrast to the bad and totally outrageous reviews here that say 0 stars, I would actually like to give it more than 5 stars!

My cousin and I visited the Cat Temple today. This was recommended to me, which is why we came here specifically. The restaurant is about a 25-minute walk from the main train station, but that was completely fine for us. The anteroom is nicely decorated - you will be picked up from there. Online ordering and reservations are also possible, but we didn't need them. The main room is a large, comfortable room with enough climbing opportunities and lying areas for the cats, separated from a retreat area for the cats themselves. I personally think the prices on the menu are fair - this has to be financed by something. We each had a rainbow bowl as well as a cold matcha latte and a "Fruity Dragon" lemonade. For everything together we paid €42.40. The portion sizes are correspondingly large and it fills you up well. The staff is also very friendly and you don't have to wait very long for your food. Unfortunately, what we didn't like was the noise and the children constantly wanting to grab at the cats that obviously didn't need to be near them. Personally, I found that a bit worrying, even if the cats can withdraw if necessary. However, we had the opportunity to pet Peter and Tony and take some great photos. The food can also be packed if necessary. I will definitely come back

I spontaneously went to Hanover with my daughter and when we got hungry, we looked for a restaurant with vegan dishes because my daughter is vegan. We came across the cat temple on the Internet. Without further ado, we took the S-Bahn a few stops and stopped there. We were greeted warmly and, after being told that a reservation would make sense, we were brought to a table despite not having one. The service came quickly, brought drinks and took the order. My daughter ordered a sandwich with meowzzarella and I ordered the no-chicken burger. I was asked whether I would prefer the side salad or the temple fries with the burger and I chose the latter. The food came to our table quickly and tasted really good! In my opinion the portions were also sufficient. The cats weren't visible much, but they all seemed chilled out. All in all we had a nice stay. I would also like to mention that I cannot understand the many negative reviews. Meat substitute products are more expensive to purchase, so in my opinion the prices in the restaurant are not overpriced but quite legitimate. And people!! Anyone who complains about a lack of REAL scrambled eggs in a purely vegan restaurant apparently doesn't understand the concept!! Likewise, where cats live, it is never impossible for one or two hairs to get lost! If you can't live with that, this isn't the right place for you and you should go eat somewhere else! When it comes to the issue of staff shortages, I also have to take the side of the restaurant. I have been working in the catering industry for 34 years and know how difficult it is to find staff! Unfortunately, staff shortages are the order of the day and anyone who complains about possible waiting times is welcome to work in the catering industry themselves 😉😉

Super delicious food and nice atmosphere. Care was taken to ensure that the cats had enough space to retreat and move around sufficiently. The prices are sometimes a bit expensive, yes, but you have to consider what goes into it and that the cats (have to) be cared for accordingly. I'm happy to pay that price. The service could actually be a little better. I had to wait a little longer before I could pay. But all in all I was very happy with my visit there.

We were there spontaneously on a Sunday and were worried that we might not get a table, but we were warmly welcomed and there was still a table available. We were able to order very quickly and the food was there after about 20 minutes. We ate the apple pie with vegan ice cream and even my boyfriend didn't notice that it was vegan ice cream - big plus! The atmosphere itself is nice, unfortunately it is very(!) loud, so you should think again about carpets, curtains or something similar that absorb the volume, you almost had to shout at each other while talking 😅 The cats are just cats, some didn't want to be petted and looked very annoyed. But that's just how cats are. You could still watch them running around and there was also a place to retreat if everything got too much for them. However, I found the prices very expensive, we both only had cake and a drink each and had to pay €30, ouch. You definitely can't afford this on a regular basis. 😅 Still a recommendation as a special activity 😊

We were here on Saturday evening and think the concept is super cool. The dishes are all vegan and the cats around are a real highlight. You can just get up and pet the cats, have a completely unusual but very relaxed meal. The dishes are beautifully prepared and taste great, you can't say anything bad about it, we were very satisfied. The service is also great, we received a very friendly welcome and the food came quickly with fresh ingredients. The prices are slightly higher in comparison, but the 8 cats ultimately have to be fed additionally and the vegan food is unfortunately still more expensive than conventional dishes. A full recommendation from us and we would be happy to come back.

A super cute café but a bit expensive. Nevertheless, you can come here and have cats up close and personal. We tried the matcha latte and it tasted good. Unfortunately we found everything else a bit too expensive. So if you work well, you can come here and as a student it is expensive.

I can't understand the negative comments. Our cat recently passed away. I discovered this cafe during a day trip to Hanover. As a big cat fan, we had to go to the cat café straight away. Unfortunately, you rarely see a café like this. First of all, coming up with an idea like this is simply amazing. The staff is very, very friendly, hopefully helpful, courteous and very nice. The atmosphere is really nice and cozy, you don't want to leave. I personally think it's really good that you can pet the cats. Anyone who complains here and thinks it is too loud for the cats should find out what I have done, they still have a separate room for retreat!!! The café is also great for children. I can only recommend everyone to visit this cafe. It's relaxing and cozy and you can unwind. We will come back. We would like to thank the entire team again for this lovely stay. We wish you continued success and would like to say thank you again

We were in Hanover spontaneously and were specifically looking for a vegan restaurant that also had breakfast. We were pleased with the facilities and the cats. We didn't know anything like that. The menu had something for everyone, and everything tasted really good. The lady who served us was nice in her own way.

Today I was at the "Cat Temple" in Hanover on Marienstrasse and ate a "paw" cake, covered in white chocolate, with whipped cream and an orange juice. Everything tasted very delicious. The cats in the restaurant watch them Sometimes just lying around and chilling is also good for me to relax.

Please visit the cat temple, it's a great idea. And the cats are great and deserve it.

All in all a really sweet experience and I felt very comfortable. Somehow totally homely and familiar atmosphere. Everything is vegan and a friendly, respectful atmosphere and with the cats is very important. I ordered an iced chai with an espresso shot. You can buy merch there. I couldn't pass up the cup. Absolute fan. It was the first time in Hanover on my trip and I'm totally thrilled because I came across it by chance.

Beautifully, lovingly decorated restaurant with a love of cats. Purely vegan/vegetarian offer. Very friendly service, quick preparation. Food super tasty, rich and varied. At first glance, there are 10 cats on site, which have a lot of space and lots of quiet places to retreat. We will be back definitely.

If you love dining with the magical furry friends, this is the right place for you. The cats are allowed to play, run around and relax freely here. You can also retreat or watch the guests from above on the wall. Don't worry, they don't jump on the tables to steal food from your plate🙃. They like to be petted by the guests and they are listed on the menu with their names and their favorite petting spots and of course their personality traits so that they can also be addressed by name🥰 A must for all cat lovers. The staff is extremely friendly and you immediately feel like you are in good hands. There is homemade bread and the dishes are very diverse. The concept is vegan. Highly recommended if you want to have a new dining experience🥰

I looked at the negative reviews before our visit and still decided to make a reservation for 6 people. I was pleasantly surprised. We were there on a Monday, probably a good day for a relaxed visit😻. The cats relaxed, the staff relaxed, everything was clean and nice to look at. The only thing I wasn't that impressed with was the burger. I was probably thinking of a wholemeal roll or something similar for vegan and not the typical loaf part 🤷. It just doesn't taste that good to me😃🙃.

If you want to go there with children, you are given a lot of rules about what children are not allowed to do. I thought that was okay, but as a parent you are very tense and, above all, the looks from the other guests were unpleasant when children became louder and excited about them of the cats were…. But the food was delicious. But I don't think we'll come back. I found the prices to be very overpriced, especially the children's meals...

The cats are great and have enough toys and space. The food wasn't tasty and our group had gastrointestinal problems afterwards. The portions are very reasonable for the price, if not very good, but unfortunately it's of no use if it makes you sick. Unfortunately, the room is not nicely furnished, it is a rather cold atmosphere and there is a pungent smell (cat urine), probably because the room is difficult to ventilate, but this is something you should consider before opening. The service was nice, but far too infrequent, especially considering there were only 2 other tables occupied. Unfortunately we were disappointed and wouldn't recommend a visit unless you really want to cuddle with the cats.

A great paradise for extremely sweet and cuddly velvet paws! The sumptuous food is tasty and the service is courteous. Of course, it can sometimes happen that there are no contiguous seats available and you share a table with one or more cats, but a solution is always found.

View a beautiful restaurant, you feel welcome and valued. That's why I went to the restaurant with joy. Eat: As a meat eater, it was difficult to adapt to vegan food, but the food convinced me. I had the Cheezeburger with the fries. The fries had a great consistency and were also pleasantly seasoned. The sauce was also more than sufficient. The Cheezeburger also completely convinced me. I was skeptical at first because of the “meat” and “cheese”, but after the first bite I only noticed a minimal difference. Therefore, even as a meat eater, I would eat there more often. Service: The service was super polite and you felt welcome. The menu came quickly. During the visit you were also politely asked whether everything was good and whether you would like anything else. I thought this was pretty neat. Ambiance: It was large and spacious, but even the smallest corner was ideal for the cats, and they couldn't complain about the lack of climbing options. Watching the cats was super exciting. The hygiene when eating is also well taken care of, so I didn't even have to worry about cat hair or anything like that. Negative: Of course there are also some negatives. The rule says that you shouldn't chase cats. Everyone stuck to it until there were two small children. Unfortunately, the parents had no control over the children. There was a lot of screaming and chasing cats, so much so that the cats fled into the cat flap. Unfortunately, the staff didn't do anything about it. But in itself it was a great and exciting visit, so I would like to come back. Just please do something about guests who can't follow the rules.

The food was incredible and reasonably priced and the service was outstanding. The vegan options are unique but delicious and carefully thought out. However, let's be honest, you come here for the cats! They did not disappoint and are adorable. My wife and I could've spent hours here just playing with, observing and petting the cats. Great concept and well executed. This place deserves your business for the food alone but come here to support their efforts in giving cats good homes from shelters.

I really appreciate the cat temple! The selection is great and it's so delicious. I've been there several times with omivorous people who found it delicious and very special. The prices are more in the upper midfield, but both the portion size and the loving preparation totally justify it :)

Spacious open shop so that the cats have space. My meal - chili con frites - was very good and a very generous portion. The controls were between neutral and easy to get used to.

There really isn't much food in terms of quantity, but it probably depends on what you order. For 14.50 I had the stalk of the salad and 3 cold dumpling slices. The person opposite me had a bowl full of fries for 12.50. The taste of the dumplings was so-so. It's a shame, I knew the shop from Nuremberg. It was much better there. At least when it came to the feel-good factor.
