I can't say anything about the food, we just drank. Service very friendly. What's just a shame is that it's no longer the beer garden it was in previous years, the character of the beer garden is gone. The beautiful benches have been replaced with wooden chairs... We think that's a shame... It used to be more comfortable🤔🤔

Nice location and nice staff. The food is superbly crafted, both in the composition of the dishes and in the execution. From the croutons in the salad to the pearl barley risotto to the well-made aioli, it really is just a treat! To top it all off, I ordered a whiskey sour that wasn't on the menu but was made for me and tasted really good. Thanks for the pleasant evening!

We were there a little early today and asked if our little one (2 1/2 years old) could go to the sandbox. A young employee and an older employee, who we probably disturbed with our question while they were smoking in the entrance area, had probably also had a bad night's sleep and said very rudely that we could still manage the 6 minutes until the opening... well, then straight to the next restaurant.

Today we had delicious pork fillet in one piece, fried wonderfully juicy, with green asparagus and chanterelles (daily menu). Plus a delicious bread dumpling. The food wasn't spectacular but it was high quality and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere outside is more of a tourist restaurant, but with very attentive and friendly service staff.

Location nice. Portions tasty, but very clear. Price/performance ratio definitely doesn't fit. It's a shame...😎

Everything used to be better, well, certainly a trite phrase. But in our opinion, this is true in the Favoriten im Muehlenbach case. We were still regulars in Muehlenbach's time. This is how we formed our opinion under new leadership. Neither a rare guest nor a regular guest. Both the menu and the ambience, inside and outside, as well as the staff, can keep up with the old Muehlenbach. Lots of people take the rails for burgers and the like, but many can also do it better.

The journey to the Favoriten restaurant is promising. There are parking spaces for cars and - very nice - also for bicycles directly at the restaurant. The darling promises more than what is offered to the guest's palate, both on the terrace and inside. We ate there twice. The first time I chose the Currywurt, which I enjoyed. (But, honestly, serving a tasty currywurst is no art.) My husband ate the burger with cheese sauce. This one was disappointing. Just using cheese sauce for a burger is a no go (unfortunately we missed it... so it's your own fault). However, that doesn't work at all. What would be the point of putting a nice slice of good cheese on the patty. In addition, there was neither a leaf of lettuce nor a slice of tomato or cucumber between the burger patty and buns. Nothing like that. I find that really poor. The second time I had salad with goat cheese (it was okay so far) and my husband chose spare ribs, which were supposedly cooked sous vide for 24 hours (i.e. in a vacuum at around 90° for several hours up to 24 hours) (we have asked). The waitress wanted to question the chef about this again. So I don't think having to ask again really inspires confidence. If meat is prepared on the bone under the conditions described above, the meat from the bone can be easily removed from the bone - almost by itself. And that wasn't the case here. The sauce with which the meat was smeared also tasted very bland, almost like it had been smeared afterwards. Since we like to cook and prepare spareribs ourselves, we know what it should taste like. So, if you just want to eat to satisfy your hunger without any great expectations, you are welcome to visit this place. But if you want to eat tasty prepared food with certain expectations, this is not the place for you. I don't come here anymore. NS: Sorry, but if you'd like to read it again, I didn't say anything about a slice of cheap cheddar out of the box, but rather a nice slice of good cheese... and you know as well as I do that it's a " "homemade" product is usually a finished product manufactured outside the home. And honestly, who would like that? And the statement that not even a lettuce leaf, a slice of cucumber or a tomato was placed on the burger unfortunately remained unanswered.

Whether it's a cozy beer 🍺 a delicious meal, you're in perfect hands here. And the service is simply great. Absolutely recommended!!!!!

A nice restaurant. However, I used to find it inviting. Since the change, they have tried to give the beer garden a more elegant touch, but that doesn't really work. The food is ok. and the service was nice.

The darling is a real highlight! The location is simply fantastic and invites you to linger. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, which makes the stay even more pleasant. The food is simply delicious and the drink selection is very good. Darling is an ideal place, especially for families, as it has a playground for children. The little ones can let off steam to their heart's content, while parents can enjoy their meal in peace. We always enjoy coming back to the darling. A clear recommendation.

Drinks came quickly and the coffee was even tasty, which isn't the case everywhere. I can't say anything about the food What we saw looked pretty good and the plates were all empty

The restaurant is really beautifully located and the outdoor area including the beer garden is very inviting. There is an easily visible playground for children, so you can sit and relax even when the kids are busy. Unfortunately, the food and service are not nearly as positive, especially in relation to the prices. Example: I had a cheeseburger with potato dippers for €20.50, but the patty was clearly a frozen product. In this price range you would actually expect the patty to be homemade. The same applies to the chicken nuggets, although here they are at least of better quality than the beef patty. The employees were really very friendly, but the service did not appear to be optimally organized despite an estimated 85% capacity utilization. It took almost a quarter of an hour for the orders to be taken, the plates were not cleared even 20 minutes after the meal was finished, etc. Unfortunately not satisfactory in terms of price/performance. If you would like to increase performance or reduce prices, we would be happy to come back.

Good, but €6.20 for a wheat beer. In my opinion it's pretty expensive.

We were able to look at the menu before we even went there to eat. This meant I could choose something in advance, which I was really looking forward to. Unfortunately, I didn't really like it that much in the end. The pasta was completely without salt, but the prawns were quite over-salted, the garlic was quite raw and there must have been one of the tomatoes among the tomatoes that was no longer quite as fit. In addition, the portion wasn't particularly large compared to the others that came at the same time. In fact, I expected something different for the price. But that's just my personal opinion. The rest was really great, the dessert was delicious, the atmosphere was nice and the service was super nice and funny :)

Very nice location with a great beer garden. A bit high price and only 7 main courses. I ordered a currywurst, which unfortunately didn't taste good at all (freezer burn?). My complaint was accepted by the very nice service staff, but unfortunately there was no further comment on the matter. I will skip the currywurst next time I visit.

Rustic location in a charming location. Varied menu with vegan-gluten-free options. We all enjoyed it quite well. Very attentive and friendly service staff ensure a pleasant stay.

This restaurant is highly recommended. Kathi and her absolutely lovely and great team give you a very pleasant feeling. We were able to celebrate our wedding there in December and were completely thrilled, as were our guests. The food was A1 with stars and the service was simply great. Kathi really has a great knack for decoration/beautiful ambience. It's not a huge restaurant, which I personally like. Super cozy. The menu is clear so that you are not overwhelmed with hundreds of dishes that you cannot decide on. I really have nothing to complain about. Thank you for everything! Keep it up! Kind regards ♡

Premiere, but the performance calls for repetition. Very nice and tasty and we are looking forward to visiting in the summer.

Been here for the first time and became aware of the website. First impression upon arrival very positive. Friendly and attentive reception. Prices appropriate to the offer. Rooms and atmosphere very pleasant. Music discreetly in the background. Service attentive and always friendly. Was the winner that night. Kitchen but probably with slight weaknesses that evening with the deer goulash menu. Pieces of meat are sometimes very different in cut and have tendons throughout. Brussels sprouts with a little too much veloute or béchamel as part of the sauce. Taste okay so far. But no problem, all in all a nice experience and I'll definitely come back to the favorite. All good and continue much success. 😉🍖🍺

The wild goullasch was extremely tasty and plentiful. The rest that I couldn't manage was packed up very appetizingly for me.

The restaurant is very idyllic and quiet. You immediately feel at home and are warmly welcomed by the manager and staff. The menu offers seasonal dishes that are innovatively interpreted and very appetizingly prepared. Everything is fresh and very tasty. A good portion leaves hardly any room for dessert. If you want, you can even get a second helping. The drinks menu leaves nothing to be desired and everyone tries to make you feel good. The price and performance offer is completely justified given the quality delivered. That's why I can only recommend the darling and wish the team a stress-free and successful Christmas season. We are already looking forward to the beer garden in spring.

We found this charming restaurant through a recommendation - the food is excellent, the service is unique and very, very friendly. We had the 5 course menu with accompanying wines, which I can highly recommend. It wasn't the last time we were here. And in summer with the huge outdoor area in the middle of the Hexbachtal - simply amazing.

Wir waren das erste Mal im Gebäude essen. Sonst nur im sehr schönen Biergarten und es war ein wunderschöner Abend. Das Essen war eine Wucht und die Bedienung einfach Bombe. Wir freuen uns schon aufs nächste Mal.

Ich würde gerne besser bewerten... Aber das Wildgulasch war leider kaum gewürzt. Die Erdnusssuppe war allerdings sehr gut, ebenso die Knödel zum Gulasch. Dazu hat jemand ein Drittel seines Hähnchens zurückgehen lassen, weil es vermeintlich nicht durch war. Erst auf zweite Anfrage hin gab es die Info, dass alles OK war. Die Frage, ob man es z.B. noch weiter braten sollte oder eine sonstige Rückmeldung wäre schön gewesen. Ansonsten: Freundliches Personal, nettes Ambiente, übersichtliche Karte. Die Anfahrt zum Restaurant ist etwas abenteuerlich, eine recht lange einspurige Straße. Die Wartezeit bis zur Vorspeise (5 Suppen, die sollen eigentlich schon fertig sein) war recht lang. Die Zeit hätten wir uns gerne mit einem Gruß aus der Küche überbrückt- es gibt allerdings nicht einmal Brot und Butter.

Das schöne Ambiente beginnt schon bei der Fahrt zum Liebling, da man das Gefühl hat, mitten in die Natur zu fahren abgelegen von der Stadt und vom Stress (mit dem Auto besser Schritttempo fahren wegen anderen Autos, Radfahrern, Joggern, Hundebesitzern und Spaziergängern, da die letzte Straße zum Liebling sehr eng und dicht bewachsen ist am Fahrbahnrand!) Das Restaurant ist schön eingerichtet mit einer geschmackvollen Mischung aus Altbewährtem und Modernem. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl und wird herzlich und freundlich von einem jungen Team empfangen. Wir haben beide jeweils drei Gänge bestellt (Vorspeise, Hauptspeise und Dessert) und waren absolut begeistert! Alle Gerichte waren geschmacklich perfekt und auf den Punkt zubereitet und passend zusammengestellt. Wirklich absolute Spitzenküche und ansprechend angerichtet. Frisch, regional durchdacht und nachhaltig! Wir wurden freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient und beraten und auch alle Fragen zu Getränken und Gerichten wurden super beantwortet. Wir werden neue Stammkunden!

Wir kommen seit über einem Jahr immer wieder gerne zum Essen. Keine zu große Karte, immer frisch zubereitete Speisen, herzlicher Service, keine langen Wartezeiten auch wenn es mal voll ist und ein tolles Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Bei schönem Wetter lässt es sich bei frisch gezapften Bayreuther Hell im Biergarten besonders gut aushalten!

Gemütliche Atmosphäre, leckeres Essen, sehr guter und freundlicher Service. Ich bin immer wieder gerne hier. Im Sommer draußen und im Winter drinnen.

Guten Abend, heute gegen 16:30 zwei Schnitzel gegessen,waren gut,aber einmal 24€ und 25€ fanden wir im Nachhinein recht viel, die Portionen haben den Preis nicht gerechtfertigt. Aber waren wohl von besonderen Schweinen und der Metzgerei Timm. Also vom Geschmack her zu empfehlen aber wer satt werden will ist hier nicht richtig.

Schöner Biergarten mit guter Küche... Nicht günstig, aber gerade noch OK.

Vorweg - das Personal ist wirklich freundlich- das Ambiente angenehm - wäre ich nur wegen des Essen hier gewesen- wäre ich ziemlich enttäuscht von Abend - völlig missglückter Burger mit knallharten Chips/ Kartoffeln - mein gegenüber hatte ein akzeptables pilzgericht- sein Apfelcrumble-war ebenfalls nicht wirklich lecker - die Lachs Vorspeise völlig unterdimensioniert und nicht einfallsreich serviert. Ich fand’s fürs Gebotene leider nicht ausreichend ….
