I was there with a friend on Saturday. Choosing a seat was easy, and within a very short time, we were asked what drinks we'd like. These were brought to our table very quickly. The food was also very tasty and the value for money was very good! The service was very friendly!

I celebrated my birthday yesterday. But brunch is too expensive per person. My daughter and I didn't eat anything. Five people only had rolls with cold cuts, and drinks were extra. €21 per person plus drinks, I paid €160 for almost nothing. For that, you can eat at Inda Super with seven people and everyone will be full. Never again Alex.

We went to the breakfast buffet on a Saturday. It's quite large and has a great selection. Everything was delicious, except for the rolls, which were unfortunately very soft. The service was very friendly; at times, the table was unfortunately piled high with dirty dishes for a bit too long, even though it wasn't very busy. However, the drinks arrived quickly, and we were always served with a smile. The atmosphere was cozy. We'd be happy to come back.

The best and nicest café in Mülheim an der Ruhr. The girls are quick and always friendly. The manager has everything under control. Some of the men serving could use a smile or at least a hello.

I went there with my girlfriend. We only had cocktails and ordered fries, and everything was simply wonderful. The staff served us fairly quickly and were friendly. The cocktails were delicious. We sat outside the whole time because it was warm. Later in the evening, we went inside, and there was a great evening atmosphere inside as well. There were a lot of people there, and overall, it was a very pleasant place to be.

I'm once again more than thrilled with the food; you always outdo yourselves! I can't understand most of the negative reviews at all. The value for money was also very good for a meal for two people. Since the food is delicious, it's also worth the price. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone and come back often! You did a great job, thank you again!

We were here for Mother's Day brunch. It was naturally busy, but the staff had everything under control. They were very attentive, quickly refilled empty items, and even warned us about what was running low. The food was attractively presented and of high quality. There was a huge selection for brunch. Everything looked very good. Highly recommended!

The service is top-notch, as is the ambiance; there's nothing to complain about. Now for the food. I find the price for a schnitzel that tastes freshly defrosted a disgrace. My friend's burger wasn't impressive for the price either. It's certainly a great place for a drink, but I can't recommend anything else.

Had a schnitzel and when it came you recognized it immediately. A ready-made frozen schnitzel that was thrown into the deep fryer. Plus a few fries and a thimble salad. It's a disgrace to suggest something like that to someone. I can't understand the positive reviews if you also ate there. Maybe I would drink a cola or a coffee again, but never eat anything again.

It was our first time at Alex and definitely our last time. The food was just horrible. We had a sandwich with pastrami and a schnitzel with fried potatoes. The pastrami ham was just old and disgusting in taste. The color spoke for itself. The fried potatoes were swimming in old fat (I think it had never been changed)… We also had a latte and chai latte. Unfortunately, the chai was also inedible because it wasn't mixed properly and only consisted of milk and chunks of powder. Too bad!

Very nice and cozy location in Mühlheim. Totally delicious food, nice and fast service. I was in Mühlheim for five days for further training and met with colleagues there every evening. Very chill and modern furnishings. Can really recommend.

Today I visited the ALEX Mülheim restaurant again and was unfortunately disappointed again. The food was inedible. I had ordered a mixed salad that cost almost 12 euros, together with a Caesar dressing that was not convincing in terms of taste and was hardly available. Salmon should be added for a full 8 euros. What I got, however, was a salad that looked like it came from a supermarket bag (mixed salad in a bag) - dry and wilted. The salmon consisted of tiny remains, no trace of a real piece of fish fillet. For a total of almost 20 euros, I expected quality that does justice to this price. Instead I felt ripped off. It's shameful that a restaurant like ALEX serves something like this. I really hope that quality work is urgently being done here - you can't satisfy guests like that!

I went to Alex with a big group without a reservation. There are a lot of places so should not be a Problem getting a place. The food and the service was awesome. Service was very quick and staff were very friendly and helpful.

We were your guests for brunch today. The Alex was fully booked to the last children's chair. It was a top performance for the entire staff in the kitchen, bar and service. We were always served politely and attentively, and overall nothing was missing. Everything was delicious and plentiful. Of course it's a little louder on days like this and some people find it a little stressful, but that's how it is when there are a lot of people together. We'd love to come back. Best regards

Really good gastronomy. Breakfast here is heavy without any fun. Not just toast and a slice of cheese like Becker. Here you can find everything from eggs to sausages. So you can have a real English breakfast here, just without the baked beans.

Ladies and Gentlemen On February 14th I went to your restaurant ALEX with my girlfriend to celebrate the day together. We ordered waffles with cherries and ice cream – an actually harmless dessert. But as my friend was eating a cherry, she suddenly discovered a hard cherry stone that she was able to spit out just in time. I wonder: What would have happened if she had broken a tooth because of it? There was not a single hint in your menu or anywhere else that the cherries might still contain pits. A simple label would have provided clarity here. When I asked a legitimate question, I only received the succinct answer that you “can’t prevent” something like that. Seriously? Is this your understanding of customer orientation? Or are you just interested in making sales as quickly and ruthlessly as possible? The minimum standard would have been an apology - and an assurance that you would review your processes to avoid such dangerous incidents in the future. But instead I was met with indifference. If a guest actually suffers tooth damage because of your negligence, I would be curious to see how you react. Thank God my friend noticed the cherry stone. Otherwise I would write this message in a completely different tone. I expect a statement on how you want to prevent your guests from being harmed by such negligence in the future. Nicely designed restaurant for a little hunger in between meals. Delicious teas and coffee specialties. My highlight was the virtual fireplace on the left side of the room. The toilets were clean and well maintained. We've seen this much worse elsewhere

The breakfast buffet was very tasty. This time there was even noodles in tomato sauce. My latte was very large in a two-handled cup, like in France. The waitress was called Sacide and was very nice and attentive.

Sorry, where can I find the salmon Answer. It's only available on Sundays. ??? I didn't quite understand that It's a shame - so you didn't have to go to Alex on New Year's Day. Modern restaurant, good service but unfortunately bad overpriced food. There were 4 starters! Vegetarian gyoza €8.8 (which were probably not even homemade), 3 mini kaarage each with 3 mini florets of baked cauliflower for €9.8!!! That's a bad joke! Immediately after the starters had been cleared away, the two main courses were served, a Uhly Butcher burger and a rump steak. Both had probably been ready for a while, because both were only lukewarm and the burger was more than well cooked. There was also a huge piece of ice-cold herb butter on the steak, which gave the steak its death knell. Why don't you add something like that instead of slapping it on the steak without asking? The criticism was then commented on by the service team with “we can’t do anything about it now”. The price-performance ratio here is in no way correct. Completely overpriced starters and poor quality main courses. Starters (Kaarage & Gyoza) in Düsseldorf at the Japanese restaurant, on the other hand, are world class and even cheaper. What you get for the money at Alex is almost a disgrace. The nice atmosphere doesn’t help either….

The buffet was outstanding, there was a large selection with delicious, fresh rolls and bread, constantly fresh scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon and delicious spreads and cold cuts. The service was okay, but every now and then you had to wait a while until an empty drink was noticed.

We were there for brunch on November 24th, 2024. Good selection and tasty. The service staff was very nice. I deduct one point for the acoustics, as it is quite busy and therefore very loud.

We waited 1.5 hours for our food and then stopped. Actually, I'm used to something different from the Alex restaurants in Saxony. Too bad.

You can sit well there. Staff very welcoming and not intrusive. Saving on heating costs is all well and good, but not when it comes to temperatures. It's difficult given the size, but then you can move the blankets that are otherwise outside inside - everyone can decide for themselves whether they want to take one away. But you don't have to put your winter jacket back on to avoid getting too cold. Unfortunately that wasn't so good.

The Chicken Terriaki was really great. Unfortunately, my schnitzel was a bit dry and the fried potatoes had a bit of a lack of seasoning. Otherwise the restaurant is beautifully and modernly furnished.

A must for every ambience lover and a lover of good food and service. All in all, a successful morning. The only drawback I have is that you pay almost €50.00 for two people for a successful breakfast. Nevertheless, thanks to the restaurant ALEX Mülheim and my wife and I will come back. Overall rating 1- P.S. our dog Poldi also says thank you for the bowl of water.

A really nice, inviting, varied, exceptional atmosphere and good service! The meal I ordered, a (vegan) spicy and oriental falafel bowl, was quite tasty, but the portion was far too small to fill me up and for the price of more than 16 euros. Unfortunately, my apple spritzer was also grossly overpriced.

The price-performance ratio is absolutely miserable. I paid almost 40 for a Jägerschnitzel, currywurst, even without fries and a burger. I would have paid 50 if the food had at least tasted the same. The portions were also quite small. Definitely never again.

The food was somehow pretty cheap. I ordered a burger and when I took a bite, all the oil just squirted out of the burger. I'm also worried that they'll use old oil to prepare the food because that's pretty much how the food tasted. Definitely never again.

The food was cold, way too salty and absolutely inedible. I also asked the waitress several times for the bill and only after I waited almost 20 minutes for the bill did the waitress become very annoyed. Yes, of course, I would like to spend the night in the restaurant.
