This coffee is run with so much love. Dear people who give cats a great and safe life. I'm not vegan, BUT the food is simply delicious!!! When we are back in Hamburg, we will visit Katers Köök again!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Was here for the first time, I really liked it!

I've been here a few times now and have been impressed every time. The food is so delicious and the service is great. The cats lie around clearly relaxed and can also withdraw. Can only recommend going here!

Phew, what can I say, the vegan currywurst is more than below average. If you're thinking about it, just leave it. I actually have to think about where I've ever had such tasteless mayo. Fries are tasty after all. Service is nice.

Was there for the first time today. Immediately in love with the cats I saw. Everyone was very nice and smiled too. Franzbrötchen ice cream was delicious. I'll be back, no question. 😻😻😻😻😽😽😽😺😺😸😸The second time was nice too. This time all the cats were visible. I still enjoy coming there again and again.

Children under 10 are not welcome. Maybe it's only logical when you consider that children weren't welcomed with open arms before and that some were probably bullied. Nevertheless, another example of how children (including parents) can be discriminated against in Germany without this being critically reflected in any way, but instead hoping for understanding or insight. There's a name for this: adultism. Most adults agree that children are simply disruptive and problematic. And who should defend against it?

A ski jump is a ski jump - you can tell from the facilities and you have to know how to take it. 😈 But very specifically; Nice service, delicious cakes, nice coffee ideas and really lovely cats. You can do it!

Cat Coffee is the perfect place for cat lovers! Super cozy atmosphere with five super cute cats, all of which come from animal welfare and move freely around the café. The decor is modern - there are lots of play accessories and paths for the cats, even on the ceiling, but it doesn't feel cluttered. The cafe is only open to ages 10 and up, which probably guarantees a more relaxed environment for the cats. Katzenkaffee is also impressive in terms of cuisine: there are only vegan dishes and unusual creations such as pancakes with 'Snickers sauce' or a delicious pumpkin spice latte. The calm background music goes well with this, creating an even cozier atmosphere. Absolutely recommended, we would love to come back!

Super nice experience! Cozy vegan cafe for breakfast. I had a hearty breakfast with a winter cocoa. It was delicious and had the best vegan breakfast bacon I've ever had! The employees were very friendly and motivated. We'll be back!

Happy Cow recommends going there. The German-style vegetarian food and the German dumpling salad are surprisingly delicious, and the store staff are also very friendly.

Super delicious food, friendly staff and good ambience. We were there 3 times during the holiday trip, I can only recommend it to everyone. Breakfast is available all day and it was the best pancakes I've ever eaten. The cats feel very comfortable in the restaurant, which suggests that they are very well looked after.

We really liked Kater's Köök, we were there at 11 a.m., friendly welcome, the kitties were all active and running around the café. Coffee and cake were delicious. We'll definitely be back.

A cute atmosphere around the kitties! Some stroll and climb right next to the tables, and some need a break and snuggle up in cozy places scattered throughout the restaurant. Impressively delicious vegan dishes. Non-vegans/vegetarians will definitely find something here that will make them happy. Everything is original and unique. Delicious and enjoyable for everyone. There is also a selection of homemade cakes, which is really recommended. The Katers Köök is a very sweet coffee shop where cats move freely. The food and drink is good and the service is good too. The food and drinks are vegan. I think it's a nice coffee and would go again.

A very nice and quiet cat cafe. The food was very good, as was the cake. When it came to hot chocolate, there was still room for improvement when it came to “hot”. The waitress probably didn't have her best day either. Nevertheless, we would like to come back. The cats have lots of opportunities to scratch, play and retreat :)

Nice, quiet cafe for cat lovers. The entire menu is vegan. We had the Maultaschen salad with Veta and a piece of cake, both very tasty. The selection of cakes changes regularly. The homemade lemonade also tasted very good.

Clear recommendation for anyone who finds it too loud! We were treated very kindly and the food was very tasty. Only the Matche latte is still very powdery, as if the Matche wasn't beaten properly. The food was sufficient and filling. The pancakes didn't last long, but they were very fluffy and the portion was more than enough for the moment. The cats had opportunities to retreat and play. We only saw one briefly, but we were happy about it because they weren't forced to stay in the visiting area. Probably in order not to disturb the cats there was no (or very quiet) music. Absolutely pleasant. We were able to talk without screaming and without getting headaches. Please, please keep it in any case

Very cozy cat café with friendly service and delicious vegan food.

It was a very calm and pleasant atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Even though it was our first time here, we were welcomed like regular customers. I had a pancake apple strudel which was very tasty. My wife had the vegan curryvurst, which she liked very much. I found the sauce very tasty, but couldn't get used to the structure and mouthfeel of the vurst. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Hamburg. The visit was a great experience.

Es war eine sehr ruhige und angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Mitarbeiterinnen war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Obwohl wir das erste Mal hier waren, wurden wir wie Stammkunden aufgenommen. 2 Der Katzen kamen uns besuchen und haben sich ausführlich streicheln lassen. Ich hatte einen Pfannkuchen Apfelstrudel der sehr lecker war. Meine Frau hatte die vegane Curryvurst, ihr schmeckte diese sehr gut. Ich fande die Soße sehr lecker, konnte mich aber mit der Struktur und dem Mundgefühl der Vurst nicht so anfreunden. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Hamburg werden wir auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Der Besuch war ein tolles Erlebnis.

Cats, nice people and great food. What more do I want? Nothing and you? Nevertheless, other points such as the ambience and the courteous service more than convinced me. Wow, the concept is fun! Everyone is there, regardless of whether they are vegan or not, there is something for everyone and no one will miss out on “animal” things! The cute cats are enough as a lively experience 🌈❤️

Simply a beautiful cafe. The cats are doing great and can be very cuddly, but also have the opportunity to withdraw. The food was wonderful and both vegan and gluten free options available. Always my pleasure.

Of course, you have to like cats. But if that's the case, then you've come to the right place. I went for breakfast today with my wife and daughter. And we were not disappointed. The atmosphere is totally pleasant. Probably because of the cats, it's very cozy and very quiet here. So you can have a wonderful conversation at room volume. The menu is 100% vegan, which suits us. The cats move freely around the room, and there are scratching posts and other cat gymnastics equipment installed everywhere. But they fit in very nicely with the interior design. In general it looks cozy, but also very tidy and high quality. The audience is very colorful, the Schanzenviertel is not far. Okay, it's certainly not a bargain. We paid around €60 for three breakfasts including coffee and orange juice. But that's also fast food. You go there with intention, it's best to bring some time with you. And the cats help you slow down. This was my second time there and I will definitely come back.

Fries were mostly just too hard and the mayo didn't taste like anything but okay. The coleslaw wasn't really the best either but maybe because it was homemade idk. Currywurst was ok but it's also vegan. Well, the atmosphere was okay, but of course the best thing was the cats. But I wouldn't order it again. But the sweet things are extremely tasty. (One thing that bothered me at the beginning was that a woman was cuddling a cat the whole time and kept saying "ohhh you like that, don't you?" "Yes, you like that!" no idea if she was with me the cat has some connection or something but that was a bit annoying).

I think Katers Köök the cat café is great. I love coffee and 🐈 cats. As an animal lover, I think this idea is great. Cat cafes give cats a new home and I can see that they are doing very well and feel really good, they have got everything they need and everything they want.

The food and the iced coffee were delicious, the service was very friendly and attentive and the whole atmosphere was simply relaxed. The kitties definitely have a great life here :) The concept is really nice.

I enjoyed the atmosphere; the service was excellent, with friendly and smiling waiters. The concept is wonderful—you can pet the cats, and you need to respect their space and let them sniff your hand first. I met Avicii and Leffy—they are lovely and very affectionate. #meow

Our visit to Katers Köök was an all-round wonderful experience that I can only recommend to every cat lover. As soon as you enter the café you can feel how well the cats are doing there. They have numerous climbing and scratching options available that encourage their natural play instinct and give them a lot of fun. Everywhere in the café you will find comfortable places to lie down where the cats can relax. They don't want for anything there, and if they want to retreat, there are suitable retreats for that too. I find the rules that have been set up particularly positive, as they are always in the best interests of the cats. For example, you are only allowed to take photos without a flash so as not to disturb the cats. Such regulations show how much the welfare of the animals is in the foreground here. The food was very tasty and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. In this great atmosphere it was simply heartwarming to watch the cats frolic and play. It was also possible to give out a few cuddles. As a souvenir of this wonderful day, I bought a Katers Köök hoodie. The quality of the hoodie is excellent, and now I'm happily sitting on my couch, cuddling with my own cat and fondly thinking back to the lovely visit. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and can't wait to dive into this little cat paradise again. Until next time, Katers Köök!

An overall positive visit, with a light taste. Food and service were mostly good, but not special. Slightly stressed service and average cuisine. Of course, you feel a little sorry for the cats you have to pet, even if they are really well protected in the café. Nevertheless, there are too many people who deprive animals of their space and the concept presented here unfortunately makes it quite easy for such people. Nevertheless, a lot of care is taken here to ensure that the cats and tomcats are not disturbed.

Not only was the food great, but you get creature comforts (literally) too! I love it that they tell you all about them on the menu (notice their countries of origin) and that there are cat beds, condos, and tunnels all over where they can go at will.

It is always nice to dine with cats. The pancake seems to be a crepe. The apple pancake is crepe with applesauce. I would probably choose a different dish next time.

A really great café for cat lovers. It was pleasantly quiet and the friendly ladies provided good information and the delicious breakfast came promptly. I had the hearty breakfast and a fresh orange juice. Next time I'm in Hamburg, I won't miss a visit again.

Great concept, the offer is great and tasty, service is very nice and flexible. The only drawback is the uncomfortable seating. Armchairs or sofas would invite you to linger for a longer period of time.

Unfortunately, you can tell that two of the employees there have no interest in the job at all. When you ask questions, you get eye rolls and the tone makes you feel like you're not wanted. But the cats are super cute and the food was tasty too.

The atmosphere is super pleasant and relaxed. The food was incredibly delicious (the best scrambled tofu I've eaten in a long time). Generally a great selection of food and drinks. And most importantly: the cats seemed to be doing very well, some were very playful and others were cuddly. A really great place for humans and cats!

The atmosphere on site was totally pleasant. I felt like I was in a living room and the cats were very active and curious even with more guests :) the food was very good, I had the scrambled tofu with “bacon” and a French roll. Both tasted very good and the service was super nice and gave us very good advice! Absolutely recommended☺️

Food was tasty, but be prepared to get a sandwich instead of a burger. In contrast to the other cat café, you can also see the cats here. The cats were constantly running around and there was always something to see. Unfortunately, the cats were a bit shy when it came to cuddling.

An absolute recommendation! We went there for breakfast and it was incredibly good! We couldn't decide with the great selection. The service was super friendly and gave us advice. The atmosphere is so cozy. And even if you only see the cats from a distance, it's worth coming. We took cake with us and were lucky enough to eat it again later at home - the Snickers cake is amazing ;) A great end to our Hamburg trip. You simply have to be here once!

A vegan cafe. But where it says ThunVisch on the display seems totally contradictory to me. Vegan is against eating animal meat but is playing with the word tuna. When you read it you think of the meat of the tuna, but don't think that that should be the message behind it....if it's vegan then it's right.

It's a real shame that we are no longer welcome here. I was a regular with my 4 year old. She, and all the other children I observed there, were always considerate of the cats. If you don't want to put the cats under stress at all, you can't open a restaurant like that.

Certainly a good cafe for people who follow a vegan diet. However, if you come to see cats, you shouldn't have false hopes. It's called a "cat cafe" and that's what they advertise. Unfortunately, you won't even see cats if you don't actively look for them. Unfortunately, the whole cafe smells like a litter box. What a shame!

There were 3 of us there today and we were able to spontaneously get a table. We found out about this restaurant online and, as cat lovers, were of course excited about the concept. A cute shop with absolutely beautiful cats and very friendly staff. The service was great and the food really impressed us even as non-vegans. But above all, we really enjoyed dealing with the cats. It is pointed out that the well-being of the cats must be respected at all times and that this comes first. Thank you for allowing us to spend a lovely afternoon with you! 💚

Meowtastic - on our short trip we had the opportunity to stop at Katers Köök. Here we had the great opportunity to experience Hamburg flair in the lovely interior, delicious homemade vegan food and the 6 velvet paws who have found a great new home here. The project is simply great - love of animals and animal protection is combined with regional culinary enjoyment. 5/5 paws - experience it yourself :)

Such an incredibly beautiful and quiet cafe. The two-legged friends are all super friendly and the four-legged friends spread a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere and make you feel really peaceful while drinking coffee. Great people, great cats, delicious food - we'll definitely come back next time we're in Hamburg :)

I was there for the second time and it is a must for me every time I visit Hamburg. The atmosphere is relaxed and the drinks and food are delicious. The cats are active and fun to watch. I wish you continued success, what you are pursuing is a really great concept.
