Super nice people and cats with a mega café. Even though I made a mistake when making the reservation, a nice table was still found for us. Everyone was really friendly and relaxed. This was definitely not my last visit!

I was just about to visit the cat cafe with my two daughters. But as soon as we arrived we were greeted very unfriendly. An obviously frustrated and bad-tempered employee almost slammed the door in our faces and said flippantly: “Entry only for ages 10 and up!” I'm honestly appalled at the way families are treated. A polite reference to the age regulations would have been completely sufficient. Instead we only experienced unfriendliness and a bad atmosphere. If you like children or value a friendly atmosphere, you should avoid this café. Here the frustration with little guests seems to be greater than the joy of being treated with respect. What a shame! Addendum to your answer: Your perception of the situation seems otherworldly to me. You raised your voice and insulted me by insinuating that reading wasn't my forte just because I didn't pay attention to the lock. Several guests turned around in concern because your behavior seemed aggressive - even though there were only two small children standing there. Your business partners should ask themselves whether such behavior is good for their shared reputation. Addendum: Personal frustration has no place in business. Kindness should be a given – regardless of whether you have children of your own or not.

We were there for Valentine's Day. The food was first class, as were the staff. Super warm and organized, short waiting time, quick and clear reservation via website. The atmosphere is cozy and you can clearly see that the little tigers feel really comfortable. Highly recommended to everyone I love. Thank you for this wonderful experience. :-)

I would like to know why 2 cats are looking for a new home due to the closure? Are the owners of the café not taking the cats with them? These are not pieces of furniture that will be given away when it closes... they were good enough to attract guests.. please clarify, then of course I will revise my negative feedback, but for now I am shocked.

Just take a look, it's worth it as soon as you're inside, the stress of everyday life falls away and the cats 🐱 🐈 are also really exciting to watch. The food is fresh and delicious 😋. On my next visit I will order the Maultaschen salad again.

Absolutely. Totally cozy and pleasantly quiet ambience (probably out of respect from the cats) - sweet velvet paw residents who complete this great café with a delicious breakfast. Under the fluffy management, the employees are always in a good mood with a smile on their faces. I look forward to coming by again soon.

We had come specifically to see the cats and now there wasn't a single one to be seen... On a Sunday afternoon the place was packed, so the animals can't rest, so it's better to come during the week!! The food was impeccable; the map is small and that's a good thing! The burger, sandwich and Maultaschen salad were all very tasty!! We'll be back!!

The nice thing about a place like this is that everyone who visits here likes cats. In combination with really great vegan dishes, very nice service and a very cozy atmosphere, it makes this place particularly beautiful. We would be happy to come back and recommend you to others.

The staff today was nice and friendly. The positive thing is that cat welfare is a top priority here, but people go to a cat café with the expectation that they will be able to see cats and, ideally, pet them. If you touch the cats if they don't come directly to you on their own, some of the employees will immediately bark at you. I've been there several times and there's only one cat that even approaches the guests. Maybe the characters of the cats don't fit into the concept here. The food is good, but unfortunately a bit more expensive. It would be nice if people here cared about the guests as much as they care about the cats.

Very cozy family get-together with lovely furry friends who are totally unobtrusive. The vegan cuisine is delicious. My salad with fried dumplings and bread was excellent. Reservation also worked. I'm thrilled 😻

My friend and I were there earlier and ordered the hearty breakfast and the chocolate dream pancakes along with a caramel latte each. The service was great and the waitress definitely seemed to have fun at work, everyone was very friendly. It was also nice to be addressed as “you”, which feels even more personal than being addressed as “you”. Both food and drinks (everything there is vegan) were very tasty, definitely recommended. We also liked the facility. The sugar containers on the tables were recycled glasses from smoothies or juices, the tables and chairs were thrown together differently instead of all the same, the napkins were made from recycled materials, etc. Just overall, very sustainable and cute. The cats probably come from animal welfare and have more than enough space, toys and places to retreat. If they want to have peace and quiet, this is enforced and respected by the customers, which I think is very good. There is also some kind of donation campaign where you get different benefits for different monthly amounts (€5, €10, etc.), such as a certain percentage discount if you eat there again, etc. Unfortunately, we are not from here and we're just vacationing here, so it wouldn't be entirely worth it for us, but if you're from the area and are there often, it definitely sounds like a good thing. You can probably just ask the employees on site how exactly it all works. So if you like cats and/or are vegan, this is definitely a good place to go for something to eat😸🌱

I went there specifically with my 6 year old daughter and now she would block us from entering. Families made the café great and now they are being trampled on.

3 times there are no active cats, such as in Hafencity. Both of us didn't like the chailatte...we could only taste the spices and at 9.00 I said 9.50 and 10.50 was debited. Also only seen later. Won't be coming back all in all rather dissatisfied.

The food was simply great!! We ate there twice within a few days because we liked it so much! The pancakes and cakes are a dream and the club sandwich really impressed me too!😍 And of course the kittens are a sweet bonus😊 Anytime again!! 🙏🏼

Phew, what can I say, the vegan currywurst is more than below average. If you're thinking about it, just leave it. I actually have to think about where I've ever had such tasteless mayo. Fries are tasty after all. Service is nice.

Children under 10 are not welcome. Maybe it's only logical when you consider that children weren't welcomed with open arms before and that some were probably bullied. Nevertheless, another example of how children (including parents) can be discriminated against in Germany without this being critically reflected in any way, but instead hoping for understanding or insight. There's a name for this: adultism. Most adults agree that children are simply disruptive and problematic. And who should defend against it?

A ski jump is a ski jump - you can tell from the facilities and you have to know how to take it. 😈 But very specifically; Nice service, delicious cakes, nice coffee ideas and really lovely cats. You can do it!

Cat Coffee is the perfect place for cat lovers! Super cozy atmosphere with five super cute cats, all of which come from animal welfare and move freely around the café. The decor is modern - there are lots of play accessories and paths for the cats, even on the ceiling, but it doesn't feel cluttered. The cafe is only open to ages 10 and up, which probably guarantees a more relaxed environment for the cats. Katzenkaffee is also impressive in terms of cuisine: there are only vegan dishes and unusual creations such as pancakes with 'Snickers sauce' or a delicious pumpkin spice latte. The calm background music goes well with this, creating an even cozier atmosphere. Absolutely recommended, we would love to come back!

Super delicious food, friendly staff and good ambience. We were there 3 times during the holiday trip, I can only recommend it to everyone. Breakfast is available all day and it was the best pancakes I've ever eaten. The cats feel very comfortable in the restaurant, which suggests that they are very well looked after.

We really liked Kater's Köök, we were there at 11 a.m., friendly welcome, the kitties were all active and running around the café. Coffee and cake were delicious. We'll definitely be back.

A cute atmosphere around the kitties! Some stroll and climb right next to the tables, and some need a break and snuggle up in cozy places scattered throughout the restaurant. Impressively delicious vegan dishes. Non-vegans/vegetarians will definitely find something here that will make them happy. Everything is original and unique. Delicious and enjoyable for everyone. There is also a selection of homemade cakes, which is really recommended. Nice, quiet cafe for cat lovers. The entire menu is vegan. We had the Maultaschen salad with Veta and a piece of cake, both very tasty. The selection of cakes changes regularly. The homemade lemonade also tasted very good.

Clear recommendation for anyone who finds it too loud! We were treated very kindly and the food was very tasty. Only the Matche latte is still very powdery, as if the Matche wasn't beaten properly. The food was sufficient and filling. The pancakes didn't last long, but they were very fluffy and the portion was more than enough for the moment. The cats had opportunities to retreat and play. We only saw one briefly, but we were happy about it because they weren't forced to stay in the visiting area. Probably in order not to disturb the cats there was no (or very quiet) music. It was a very calm and pleasant atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Even though it was our first time here, we were welcomed like regular customers. I had a pancake apple strudel which was very tasty. My wife had the vegan curryvurst, which she liked very much. I found the sauce very tasty, but couldn't get used to the structure and mouthfeel of the vurst. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Hamburg. The visit was a great experience.

Es war eine sehr ruhige und angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Mitarbeiterinnen war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Obwohl wir das erste Mal hier waren, wurden wir wie Stammkunden aufgenommen. 2 Der Katzen kamen uns besuchen und haben sich ausführlich streicheln lassen. Ich hatte einen Pfannkuchen Apfelstrudel der sehr lecker war. Meine Frau hatte die vegane Curryvurst, ihr schmeckte diese sehr gut. Ich fande die Soße sehr lecker, konnte mich aber mit der Struktur und dem Mundgefühl der Vurst nicht so anfreunden. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Hamburg werden wir auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Der Besuch war ein tolles Erlebnis.

Simply a beautiful cafe. The cats are doing great and can be very cuddly, but also have the opportunity to withdraw. The food was wonderful and both vegan and gluten free options available. Always my pleasure.

Of course, you have to like cats. But if that's the case, then you've come to the right place. I went for breakfast today with my wife and daughter. And we were not disappointed. The atmosphere is totally pleasant. Probably because of the cats, it's very cozy and very quiet here. So you can have a wonderful conversation at room volume. The menu is 100% vegan, which suits us. The cats move freely around the room, and there are scratching posts and other cat gymnastics equipment installed everywhere. But they fit in very nicely with the interior design. In general it looks cozy, but also very tidy and high quality. The audience is very colorful, the Schanzenviertel is not far. Okay, it's certainly not a bargain. We paid around €60 for three breakfasts including coffee and orange juice. But that's also fast food. You go there with intention, it's best to bring some time with you. And the cats help you slow down. This was my second time there and I will definitely come back.

Fries were mostly just too hard and the mayo didn't taste like anything but okay. The coleslaw wasn't really the best either but maybe because it was homemade idk. Currywurst was ok but it's also vegan. Well, the atmosphere was okay, but of course the best thing was the cats. But I wouldn't order it again. But the sweet things are extremely tasty. (One thing that bothered me at the beginning was that a woman was cuddling a cat the whole time and kept saying "ohhh you like that, don't you?" "Yes, you like that!" no idea if she was with me the cat has some connection or something but that was a bit annoying).

I think Katers Köök the cat café is great. I love coffee and 🐈 cats. As an animal lover, I think this idea is great. Cat cafes give cats a new home and I can see that they are doing very well and feel really good, they have got everything they need and everything they want.

Our visit to Katers Köök was an all-round wonderful experience that I can only recommend to every cat lover. As soon as you enter the café you can feel how well the cats are doing there. They have numerous climbing and scratching options available that encourage their natural play instinct and give them a lot of fun. Everywhere in the café you will find comfortable places to lie down where the cats can relax. They don't want for anything there, and if they want to retreat, there are suitable retreats for that too. I find the rules that have been set up particularly positive, as they are always in the best interests of the cats. For example, you are only allowed to take photos without a flash so as not to disturb the cats. Such regulations show how much the welfare of the animals is in the foreground here. The food was very tasty and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. In this great atmosphere it was simply heartwarming to watch the cats frolic and play. It was also possible to give out a few cuddles. As a souvenir of this wonderful day, I bought a Katers Köök hoodie. The quality of the hoodie is excellent, and now I'm happily sitting on my couch, cuddling with my own cat and fondly thinking back to the lovely visit. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and can't wait to dive into this little cat paradise again. Until next time, Katers Köök!

An overall positive visit, with a light taste. Food and service were mostly good, but not special. Slightly stressed service and average cuisine. Of course, you feel a little sorry for the cats you have to pet, even if they are really well protected in the café. Nevertheless, there are too many people who deprive animals of their space and the concept presented here unfortunately makes it quite easy for such people. Nevertheless, a lot of care is taken here to ensure that the cats and tomcats are not disturbed.

It is always nice to dine with cats. The pancake seems to be a crepe. The apple pancake is crepe with applesauce. I would probably choose a different dish next time.

Not only was the food great, but you get creature comforts (literally) too! I love it that they tell you all about them on the menu (notice their countries of origin) and that there are cat beds, condos, and tunnels all over where they can go at will.

Great concept, the offer is great and tasty, service is very nice and flexible. The only drawback is the uncomfortable seating. Armchairs or sofas would invite you to linger for a longer period of time.
